This is hands down one of the best Vietnamese places I've been to in SAC. My fiancé and I were pretty hungry and this was our first time here. We ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, shrimp spring roll, BBQ pork banh mi, and BBQ pork noodle plate. I have to say we loved the fried rice, the flavor was there and the ingredients went really well with each other. The shrimp spring roll was fresh tasting and super happy they added mint. The banh mi was a YES, bread was crispy but not hard and the ingredients and BBQ pork worked really well together. The BBQ pork noodle plate was delicious! Pho Viet is the place to go to for all of your Vietnamese cuisine needs if you are in the Citrus Heights/Antelope area! I've never actually dined in here, even pre-Covid, so I can't speak to the dine-in experience. However, anytime I place an order over the phone and come to pick it up, the customer service is ALWAYS great! The workers have even recognized me now lol. They have a wide array of options to choose from: appetizers, vermicelli bowls, pho options, noodle soups, rice plates, and drinks. Some of my favorites and must haves from here would have to be: Banh Xeo, Pho No.1, Bun Bo Hue, and beef vermicelli bowl. The Banh Xeo can either be a shareable or for yourself! Always super crispy and a dense treat. Sometimes we have to get 2 because I can't help myself eat one... hehehe. Both of the broths for the pho and bun bo hue are super flavorful! There is no need for added flavor, but you can always add hoisin, sriracha, or fish sauce to your liking. The beef that is served with the vermicelli bowl is really flavorful (my mouth is watering writing this review lol). Also, their thai tea and viet iced coffee are really good as well. I like that they make their viet iced coffee fresh as some places have it already pre-made. Overall, decent prices, great portions, and great customer service! Came here after a long LONG (6 hours LONG) day of sitting in the rain waiting for our car to be fixed in a dumpy trailer park. I deserved this lunch, ok!! Located in a pretty quiet plaza is Pho Viet. It was the perfect place to go for a nice bowl of pho while the weather was drizzly. Inside, the restaurant is decorated a little strangely: cloth wrapped around frames adorn the walls, and an instrumental song that seemed to never end played throughout our meal. We ordered A LOT. We were freakin' starving! Appetizer sampler Small bowl of R1 pho (combination everything meat) Banh mi dac biet Chicken chow mein Orange chicken Red bean drink Our food was all pretty darn good, either due to us being hungry af or it was just that good, or maybe a combination of both. Anyway, our waiter guy was nice and easy since he spoke English well. Food came out fast and our waters were filled. The SO had HELLA food left over cause there was just so much food; he was glad to take them for lunch the next day! The thing that kinda sucked was that they brought everything out except for the sandwich and the drink... so I had to take those to-go. I was ok with the sandwich being taken togo but would have preferred to have the red bean drink in-house... as it's easier to drink than in the little plastic cup they put it in for me. Don't even know why those two - probably the easiest of the foods to prepare - took so long to come out. Sadface... Our total came to about $45, not bad and pretty reasonable! We had a big party and they had 2 tables available on a Saturday lunch hour so wasnt sure with food quality. But everything was tasty and good portions. After a long night of drinking and celebrating a wedding, me and my friends were craving a nice warm bowl of pho in the morning. Tbh, I didn't expect to find pho in Roseville, but here we are at Pho Viet! They do allow in-door dining; it seemed pretty safe inside and all the tables are spaced out and separated from each other. We were sat in the back corner, which was nice and isolated. Our waiter was really attentive and brought us everything we needed. I didn't realize this place had both Viet/Chinese food on the menu, so I was stuck between a few options. Debated between pho and beef chow fun, but ultimately chose the chow fun, since they don't carry the wide fresh noodle here (banh pho tuoi). My friends ordered the pho though and they seemed pretty satisfied LOL - the portion size is HUGE, so you definitely get what you paid for. The beef chow fun was decent; the beef is super tender, however there was a slight almond-y taste from the noodles. I'm not sure if it was the sauce, but it threw me off a bit. Other than that, I would highly recommend getting a viet iced coffee too! Sooo good and perfect for the long road back to SJ. Overall, solid place to grab either Vietnamese or Chinese food if you're in the area. Synopsis: Great service, questionable food. Dets.: As others have written, the service here is great. I ordered takeout last Saturday and was treated very kindly by the man who took my order. I purchased the duck with rice, as well as an order of chicken pho. The duck was OK, but the chicken was essentially inedible. When I opened the package at home, it looked like they had simply served me sliced lunchmeat. I decided the meat would be more fit for my dog and gave her some. My hands SMELLED after handling it. I figured it was still OK and refrigerated half of it and froze the other half. I removed the frozen half from the freezer and thawed it today (Tuesday) with the intention of giving the rest to my dog. When I opened the ziplock bag, I was met with the stench of rot. I have no idea what would cause chicken to go off so quickly, but I suspect it wasn't fresh or fit to be consumed when I ordered it. As much as I'd like to support these kind people, I can't recommend a restaurant that serves possibly spoiled - and certainly questionable - meat. read more

Photastic. Ok that's not a word, but if you've had pho here before you know what I'm talking about. Food here is worth driving for. Yep. That good. Service is pretty decent (actually great if you compare it to other Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants). Depending on my mood I get either the C6 vermicelli bowl with bbq pork or the Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup that blows your mind). The pho here is so delicious that if someone I care about is sick... this is what I bring them. It's never failed. First time love! We were brought here one evening and introduced to us for the first time by family friends and fellow Yelpers. This was the first time I've eaten Vietnamese food here in the Sacramento area. The first time was in Mountain View in the mid 1990's. I must say it was a good first time dining experience here. Food came in big portions! While I was craving for some pho that evening, I ended up having a different meal which caught my eye under the Charbroiled Meat Over Rice section, the Pork Chops over Rice plate ($7.95). Drooling... it was sooo good! For appetizers we tried the Fried Cream Cheese Wonton (8 Pcs) for $5.75 and these are nice size wontons and the Salted Pepper Chicken Wings ($6.95). Everything was so tasty, so good and especially filling. The price was definitely on the affordable side... everything on their menu was less than $10! So many choices on their menu which I'd like to try a different meal each visit. Just the drinks section alone they offer almost 20 kinds of beverages aside from your regular soda including coffee, lemonade, Soda with Egg Yolk and Milk, Young Coconut Juice, and Red Bean Drink. They also offer smoothies like Honeydew Shake, Pineapple, Taro Shakes among ten types of flavors. They offer specialties in sections: Seafood Stir Fried, Duck Stir Fried, Vegetables Stir Fried, Chow Fun or Chow Mein, Pork Stir Fried, Beef Stir Fried, Chicken Stir Fried, Fried Rice, Vietnamese Clay Pot, and plenty more. The variety is endless. The restaurant was clean and has a flat screen TV in the middle section. Service was great! I can't tell you how much I appreciate being a member of the yelp family. Thanks to you, I stopped by this place on my way to the Sunrise Mall to return some Christmas gifts. Without yelp, I would have never known this place existed. I have tried a ton of Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants over the years, and I can tell you that this spot is the real deal. My first impression was that the place looked a little sketchy from the outside. Since I am not from the area, I am not sure who previously occupied this location. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a pawn shop, smoke shop, title loan place, or adult bookstore. Nevertheless, I trusted my fellow yelp family, and headed in hoping to discover what I have been missing since I moved to Folsom - quality authentic Asian food. For an appetizer, I chose A 13 - Salted Pepper Chicken Wings with onions, red bell peppers, and jalapenos. Damn -- I would have rated this place 5 stars just off of this one order. For a bargain price of 6.50 , I was served a half dozen jumbo wings that were so incredibly delicious that I didn't even care that I burnt my mouth taking my first bite. Damn-- those things were piping hot! Once I started to feel my face again, I realized that the flavor profile of these wings was perfect. Although the dish consisted of jalapenos and bell peppers, the wings weren't too spicy. Furthermore, the seasoning was on point -just enough salt without completely overpowering the appetizer. First off, let me mention that Pho Viet does not skimp on portion size. The amount of pork in this dish was enough to feed my wife and I . In fact, we even had enough left over for our kids to sample. My 11 year old daughter ordered the WA 16 -Chicken with broccoli ($ 8.75 for the entree). I don't know how she did it, but she managed to pick out all the chicken and leave the broccoli for the rest of us. However, before she devoured her dish, I was able to sneak a bite. Not only was the quality of meat impressive, the sauce in the dish was light, flavorful and not too salty. Once the chicken was gone, I still plated up some broccoli so that it didn't go to waste. The broccoli was fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything we tried today was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The portions are big , and the prices are reasonable. In my opinion, this all adds up to a five star rating. Believe me, if I could -I would give it a 6th star. The staff was very welcoming, and super friendly. My only small complaint was that our table wasn't cleared throughout our meal. But with food this good, I could care less. The menu is so damn impressive - it might take me a year to try everything. So happy I found this Pho restaurant! I an a stickler for correctly done Pho and this restaurant checks all of my boxes for great Pho! The broth is very flavorful, you can definitely tell they actually took the effort to slow cook beef bones to create that broth. They seasoned it very well and passes my "does it need Sriracha and Hoisin sauce" test which means it was definitely flavorful and does not need fixing or masking with extra sauces. I got the special "Pho Dac Biet" which (at any Pho Restaurant) comes with an assortment of meats and a good way to taste what they have to offer. I did get my Pho for takeout but they packaged everything well and included good portions of their vegetables and herbs (which of course adds ton of flavors to Pho). To start the extra large is huge!!! It could feed two adults. I shared with my two kids. The price is goods. Just under 10 dollars a bowl. The servers are sweet. You can tell they value their customers. When the regulars walked in, it was like walking into grandmas house on the holidays. I got the BBH. It wasn't spicy at all. The broth needed more seasoning. I asked for the shrimp paste and from what they gave me, they make their own. It's good, but not as salty as the grey one in the can and that's what it needed. My husband and I both agreed their meats were a little tough. Most likely because they were thicker cuts. Hard to chew. The blood jelly was cooked very well, and I like I got more than one piece. Good portions of noodles, meat and veggies. Meat was super flavorful towards the salty side -- the light sauce helped dilute the saltiness. It came with 2 full-sized egg-rolls that were tightly wrapped and over-fried (maybe they were previously frozen?) Overall dish was mediocre, I probably would not order this dish again. My sister had the 3 color drink and wonton soup -- the drink was disappointing, the quality was just not there, didn't taste fresh... Surprising the wonton soup was pretty good, I enjoyed the flavor of the broth. There was about 5 pieces of wonton a piece of bok choy. I would like to try wonton soup again with noodles. As I've been here once before with my family, I am not familiar with their menu & how they label their menu. Which normally has never been a problem for me anywhere. There was an absolute language barrier between me and the server. In which I can completely understand & I alway am so understanding & patient in those situations. But the server kept pointing at the menu when I ordered the beef soup with rib slices & with extra meat balls. She kept pointing at the menu number k9 I recall and I was just trying to explain that I would like extra meat balls. The language barrier wasn't the issue. The reason I walked out! Was because the lady who is older looking with mid length black hair, came to the table beyond frustrated & literally yelled out "what to you want to order!" And I began to tell her & she kept trying to pull the menu out of my hands while also telling me "WHAT NUMBER?" and I'm sitting there baffled because I wanted to order more off them menu. And she yanked the menu. Walked back up behind the register gave me the nastiest look while rambling. So I walked out. Sucks because I came from Roseville just to give this place another shot via yelp recommendations. Won't ever visit this place again. And to add to it, when I walked out I told them to cancel my order. And the lady came behind me yelling all the way outside while she was holding the door open. Screaming at me as I walked to my car.
