This is the last restaurant to go to and I do not recommend it to anyone. My cousin and I had a very bad experience with one lady who worked their named Kou. She was so unpleasant, no customer service and very loud. The food was horrible and tasteless. My cousin and I walked in and ordered soup. She did not let us know that the particular soup we ordered only comes in a one sized bigger bowl. When we tried to ask her if she had other alternative soup, she raised her voice and did not listen to us. We ended up being served these 2 big bowls of soup which we were not expecting, one of them had a horrible taste and the other we ended up returning. I would have given this restaurant a 'no star' review and since there was no option for that, I have to give 1 star read more

I visited Pho Viet on Thursday, 12/15/22, during lunchtime. Food: I ordered the Shrimp Spring rolls for the appetizer. The rolls had mint inside. I'm not too much of a mint person, but it was decent enough to eat. I also ordered the Rare Steak and Beef Meatball Pho in an XL bowl. It was delicious, especially the beef broth. Drink: I got the freshly squeezed Orange Juice. It was truly refreshing. Service: The service was amazing. The staff members were so friendly and they were on top of making sure that each customer was satisfied. Pho Viet is a solid place for delicious food and great service. Stumbled upon this place randomly while in the area and it did not disappoint! We ordered a bowl of pho (size small), salt and pepper chicken wings, fried pork egg rolls, and the combination #1 that came with sweet and sour chicken. 11/19/23. Lowkey hungover and needed soup. Bf's family recommended this place, so we all went. I got RM5. Tai Nam Pho. Pho with rare steak and well-done flank. Small bowl size for $13. Some rare steak was hard to chew and had pieces of hard cartilage and or bone. Also, you have to ask for sauce containers. Other than that, I love their pho broth! Cheaper than other pho restaurants around the area and their portions are pretty big. I was super full and I ko'd right after lol. Service was quick and attentive especially to fill up our yummy ice cold water! Family said they remodeled the restaurant like adding a modern bar. Ambiance is bright, clean and spacious. We came here for lunch since we wanted pho and Pho Viet was convenient. It was busy when we arrived. We waited for the guy to settle a customer's bill and for him to handle another customer's take out order before being seated. We were given our menus. After we ordered, we were given water. Then we were given utensils and pho garnishes. It would've saved them time if they took less trips to get us everything. We were at the restaurant for at least 30 minutes before we started eating. My go to is beef meatballs. I was quite full after eating my large bowl. The other bowl of pho had a lot of meat in it, but it didn't have tendon as stated. I was disappointed, since I love tendon. Many of the other tables ordered Chinese food. The restaurant is understaffed. I noticed many tables had not been bussed after the customers leave. I also saw a cart by the front with dirty dishes. It's a bit unhygienic to me. When we were leaving, there were lots of people waiting (mostly take out). It's great that they are doing well. That was really good for quality dishes compared to other Vietnamese food restaurants and the size of meal. Presentation was great and service was great too. We've been coming here several times but we are impressed with the renovation they did. It's not so perfect since you can still see a bit of clutter in the cashier area, but that's an easy fix. The dining area now looks very presentable, more open and bright, and the walls with added easy to clean surfaces, make the place look cleaner unlike before. Service is still good and friendly. Remodel brightens up the ambience. Mostly it is changing the tiles on the floor in the walls with some hardware updates to the bathrooms. Pho Viet in Citrus Heights, CA. This is the 2nd time we've looked for Vietnamese food in the area and it was a Viet Chinese combo. D2 loves her Vietnamese rice plates and had been craving it for awhile. The first restaurant we went to a couple years ago didn't leave a lasting impression for us, so we ventured to this spot. We ordered the salt and pepper calamari, beef chow fun, beef fried rice, and the bbq pork rice plate. Such generous generous servings. We barely put a dent in the food and had plenty of leftovers. The salt and pepper calamari was just okay. A little saltier than we should have been eating but decent. The chow fun was delicious. Generous with large pieces of beef but very heavy on the onions, next time will have to remember to ask for less onion. The fried rice I did not try but D1 was happy. I didn't try the bbq pork either but D2 was satisfied and mopped her plate. Seems to be a popular local family joint as well as many take our orders. So the first time we came here I thought it was so good only because we were hungry. But we came again and it totally met and exceeded my expectation. My wife ordered pho and I got the BBQ pork Banh Mi. Everything so so flavorful and fresh. We also ordered a side of egg rolls, so crunchy and light. The restaurant is a nice size with an easy vibe. They have plenty of space for large groups - tables and booths. They also have high chairs just in case you have a little one. Everyone is super friendly and if you're waiting for a to-go order you will be offered water and a helpful smile. We will definitely come back. The food was good, but there was just a couple things that make the rating go down for me. The noodle and chicken bowl was a good size portion, but a lot of the chicken was burnt. The spring rolls, were good, bet they were really tough to bite through. Especially at the end of the roll where the wrap comes together. I'm a real sucker for some good old Vietnamese food. And "Phở Viet" is a place I've been coming to ever since moving to the Citrus Heights area back in 2016. Conveniently located on Auburn Blvd. in between Manzanita Ave. & Greenback Lane, this is one of the top rated places to get your Vietnamese & Chinese food fix. They have a very generous menu which can be quite intimidating for some. Their menu consists of a huge assortment of appetizers (egg rolls, wontons, potstickers), soups, Vermicelli noodles, Bánh mì sandwiches, charbroiled meats, fried rice, chicken/beef/pork/seafood/veggie stir fry, and of course rice noodle dishes (aka Phở). With all the times I've eaten here (both dine-in and more recently to-go due to the COVID-19 pandemic), I've ate their meat dishes, Bánh mì, but mainly come here for their Phở. And the go-to item I have been consistently ordering is their R1 - "Phở Dae Biet Noodle". This consists of rare steak, well done flank, beef meatball, fat brisket, tendon and tripe. Usually a small is more than enough and as of November 2020, it is priced at a very reasonable $7.99. I have to tell you, they do not skimp at all on the meat! The portions are very generous as I have always been appreciative with the amazing varieties they include. In addition, I love dressing up my Phở with Hoisin & Sriracha sauces for flavor & spice, jalapeños for heat, bean sprouts, cilantro, mint, & lime. And the rice noodle portion they offer here is plentiful as I've always left here on a very full stomach. Overall, "Phở Viet" is one of the better places to get your Vietnamese food fix if you are looking for that authentic experience in the northern part of Sacramento County.
