Bún thịt nướng chả giò #33. Pork and Egg Roll Noodle Salad

Was at the library and decided to pick up food for family on my way home. Other half ordered online and I picked up the order. As soon as I walked in the staff asked if I ordered for online pick up. How did you guess? Do I not look like someone who eats alone? lol Son had the pad see ew with chicken (it's obvious this Asian fusion is meant to appeal to the demographic that may not know this isn't a Vietnamese dish - the concept works). I had my usual of the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll. Not bad but not the best I've had so not sure why someone commented it was the best they've had outside Vietnam. I've never left the United States but I can tell you pho lovers 3 makes a better version of the #33 here. Sucks that person's review hyped up my expectations. Parking was easy. Staff is nice. I ate at pho lab 3 years ago so was surprised this place literally opened 3 doors down which is kind of wack. Regardless I don't have any loyalty to either and decided to try this place to see if they're any better. I will continue going to pho lovers 3 for more authentic Vietnamese food if I want to stay within the confines of HB.

We tried Pholiscious for the first time yesterday. The establishment was clean, including the restrooms. Service team was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated that the servers were attentive and responded to requests quickly. Large parking lot with free parking. Food - We ordered three dishes, shrimp spring rolls, rare steak pho and chicken pad thai. The shrimp spring rolls consisted of three rolls cut in half for six pieces. Ingredients were fresh and the pieces of shrimp were good size and average price. The rare steak pho came out already cooked (no pink), broth was good, good protein portion. We order a side of veg priced at $4, not sure that the potion size and mix warranted the price. We also ordered the pad thai no peanuts due to severe food allergy. The dish came out with peanuts and needed to be sent back. It was re-fired and delivered quickly, however, the noodles were mushy, the sauce was unusually sweet and too much sauce for me personally. Pho bowl prices are slightly under nearby competitors by approximately $2. This restaurant does not offer size selection on bowl size. If we eat here again, we will avoid the thai dishes.

It bewilders me that two amazing Pho spots can exist in the same city that isn't Westminster/Garden Grove...let alone the same parking lot. But here we are. Pholuscious serves some amazing fusion and traditional eats. Their Pho Dac Biet was delicious. Alot of tendon. The Tai was surprisingly tender and I was disappointed that there wasn't more of it. Came in close to opening on a Monday and it was pretty empty. Perfect time to come and try for my first time. Service was great. Inside was clean. Sprouts come pre-boiled. This may or may not be of concern to you. I know friends from both camps (boiled vs. raw) Broth had a lot of favor. The main reason for 5 stars. Not too oily. Not too salty. Just right. The stone bowl is a nice touch. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but my last spoon of soup was still very warm. I'm a believer. Would love to come back in and try their chicken wings and maybe some vermicelli. But add this to the roster if you're in the area, and craving pho. Open late too which is amazing! Really wish this was closer to Irvine.

In the mood for late-night pho, we ended up at Pholuscious. There is another pho restaurant in the same plaza so I wonder how they compete! The restaurant was large and very pretty inside. The service was attentive and the menu was large. Prices fair, around $13-15/bowl. We ordered beef and chicken pho, all of which were served in hot stone bowls. Admittedly, I was expecting the soup to arrive boiling but it was just hot. While it did stay hotter than other pho restaurants, it was a bit of a let down. The pho itself was tasty but nothing mind-blowing. Overall, it was a solid meal and I appreciate that the restaurant is open until midnight.

DANG!!! WOW WOW!! Best place for pho ! Delicious broth, omg! Service was TOP TIER! Our server even gave us suggestions for next time! Music was better than any club I've been in. It felt like someone was "in the mix" the whole time because , I was hearing some very creative mashups and it was impressive! The songs were ACTUALLY being mixed ! We couldn't believe it. We going back very soon !

Update 1/18:26 Pholuscious is the place to go for lunch, dinner, or late night snack. You cannot go wrong if you're out for a late and stop in for a snack of chicken wings and spring rolls. Or something more filling like the variety of Pho or rice plates, etc. they have in their menu. Everything we have ordered here has been excellent. I would recommend giving Pholusciius a try for excellent Vietnamese confused food.

Definitely my favorite pho restaurant. I used to be a fan of Pho 101, but this place is now my #1. The food is delicious, they're open late & the service is always great! I always order #12, well done brisket. My boyfriend always gets #8, build your own. The broth is savory, the meat tastes good, it's nice, thin, tender and lean. It's not as fatty as other places, which is a plus for me. The veggies are fresh, the vinegar onions are actually good and yummy. They have all the sauces you need, including the chili oil. The stone pot maintains the broth nice and warm. There's plenty of tables/seats. All the workers are nice & friendly. Shout out to John, he always helps us out. They open at 10am and close till 12am, which is great because sometimes we eat late at night.

Took my daughter to her dentist appointment and did not have a chance to eat before hand. It was a bit cold outside so consulted the crew and we decided on pho. Pulled out reliable yelp and found a spot near by and glad my community came tru clutch. Found this spot and was delighted. Plenty of parking easy to get in staff very friendly and just said sit wherever we like place is clean and nicely decorated but still feels open. I had to try the garlic wings and was not disappointed flavor and crispness on point. Wife ordered the oxtail pho daughter got the brisket I got the brisket and rare meat and my lil one 3 year old got a free bowl of noodle and broth which she throughly enjoyed 2 bowls. Meat was tender and good quality. Only thing I did not enjoy was I didn't feel I got enough noodle. I ran out of noodle quick and had a lot of broth and delicious onions left. Also I paid cash and did not receive the 5% discount which i noticed later my receipt said if you pay cash you would get. Food was delicious service great just need more noodle and next time I will make sure to get my discount for paying cash but I will be back really enjoyed my visit. read more

Didn't order their pho yet cause lately I've been on a kick for bun thit nuong cha gio. The bbq thit nuong was flavorful and plentiful in the bowl, cha gio was crispy and okay, nuoc mam was good, only thing I didn't like was the noodles were a bit dry/al dente but that's how my husband likes it so he gave it a thumbs up. I'd say their bun thit nuong cha gio is better than the competitor literally down a few shops from them:) My hubby ordered the house special chicken wings that came with French fries. The chicken wings came out pipping hot with a light nuoc mam glaze on it that definitely kicked it up a notch. The French fries were super crispy so that was definitely another plus! I've been on the hunt for a quality fresh roll for a while and I finally found it! Could use a touch more basil but this was delicious. The peanut sauce was also well made. I mix it with a little siracha to make a spicy peanut sauce. The tofu noodle salad was also a huge hit packed with flavor. The staff is very welcoming and quick. Moved to HB 5 months ago and was looking for a local place so I don't have to drive to Garden Grove for a delicious bowl of pho. I like my foods super HOT so the concept of a stone bowl that keeps my soup hot from the first bite til the last is extremely appealing. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Servers very quick and attentive. I always get the #20 when I am here. So far came back over 6-7x already and still love my HOT bowl of pho. My last visit however, strangely they became skimpy on the meat when before it was plentiful be I like meat in every bite. So I didn't finish my pho and left the bowl 75% still full. I will give them another try and hope they don't skimp on the meat or have to change my reviews and go elsewhere. read more

Had craving for Pho so went here and saw that Pholuscious had replaced the previous Vietnamese fusion restaurant that used to be here... nice ambience with high ceilings and cute botanical decor and pop music and good A/C. Good variety of items on menu. Got the #15 pho tai bo vien (pho with rare steak and beef balls). Liked that the server asked if onions and scallions were ok. Came out piping hot in a nice stone pot and full of meat. Lots of nice accompaniments (bean sprouts, jalapeño, mint, basil, lemon, etc.) Broth tasted rich and flavorful. Pricing was reasonable. Service was friendly and staff checked on me a few times. Check came with a bite size coconut jelly. Will come back! read more

This place is nasty! Set my food in front of wrong diner, they touched the plate! I do NOT recommend it. Food was OK way better places near by. The customer service was horrible. The tables smell like mildew. I watch the worker clean the table after diners leave. He cleans with the same smelly rag and only sprays a tiny bit of cleaner. I asked the girl twice to check it out. Now I'm wondering how they sanitize the pho stoneware. I smell a hepatitis outbreak soon. Which makes me really upset that the food is so good here. What a shame!!!!!!! I found this spot for a late night meal after work and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality food and service! My server Roger was very nice and stopped by to check on me after I got my meal. I wanted the shaken beef dish with just salad, it's not on the menu, but Roger helped me get it made to my liking. The pork and shrimp springrolls were also nice and full. I'm a sauce eater, and the peanut sauce was so good that their portion wasn't enough for me at the end. But it's not a big issue, I can just buy extra next time. Their restroom was also very clean. Came in once again late yesterday night with three of my friends around 11 ish, was a bit hesitant since they closed at midnight, but a waitress with the cool lip piercing invited us in when we were at the door not making us feel bad about it all. The food came out to be delicious, we ordered two bowls and were able to split amongst all 4 of us; on top of that she provided top notch service checking in on us all throughout the meal, I forgot her name but she had a lip piercing that stood out a lot. I really liked how we felt like we weren't rushed by all the workers even though it was near closing. Will definitely be back. read more

It just doesn't get better than this. We love coming here anytime we're in the area. We are visiting from Modesto and when we're at home we talk about how we can't wait to come back and eat here. They have really great quality food. It's so fresh and hot every time. Today, for lunch, we ordered chicken fried rice, garlic noodles with shaken beef, and two orders of the chicken vermicelli bowl with eggroll. They do a really great job here with providing delicious food to their customers. I love how consistently delicious it is here. The restaurant is so clean and well taken care of too. Pholuscious in Huntington Beach has quickly become my go-to spot for pho. They do a great job of balancing traditional Vietnamese flavors with a modern touch, which really sets them apart. Even though they've only been open for about a year, the place is always clean, spacious, and welcoming. It can get pretty busy, especially on Sundays, which is a good sign of how much people enjoy it. The customer service is consistently excellent--friendly and attentive. First time came here and got Pho Suon Bo The second time got Pho Suon Bo and Nui Xao Bo Luc Lac The flavor here is truly wonderful--rich, balanced, and the broth doesn't need any extra sauces or fish sauce at all. As for the Rib Bones Pho, I'd recommend ordering a side of pickled onions to go with it. The ribs are tender and generous, absolutely delicious, but the tangy onions really help cut through the richness and make it even more enjoyable And about Macaroni with Shaken Beef, can not say anything. Been going to Pho Lab a while now but my friend tried here and they said they also really good so I gave it a try but food is decent, I saw a lot of instagram posts and the food have such a nice appearance but that is about it. Customer service is also not as attentive, most of them stand behind the counter, need water to be refilled but didn't. The place is definitely nicer tho, bigger and newer also they play nice music too. I would come with friends since Pho Lab is smaller but solo going debatable. read more

Restaurant space is widely and brightly. Waiters are helpful, careful and friendly. They should ask customers that do they like big fresh Pho or small Pho. I like big and fresh pho but I forget to require so I recommend waiter should be ask customers. Waiter brother gave me free extra fresh big pho. Unfortunately, pho is sour when I put pho with soup. It make pho bowl sour at all so I can't eat anymore. Thai Tea is so sweet. They need to adjust sweetness. read more

I had the #9 and the garlic butter wings and they were INCREDIBLE. The pho had a ton of meat so there was no issue with the meat to noodle ratio and the wings were really crispy. Some of the best, if not the best pho and wings i've had. Our server, Roger, was very accommodating and offered quick service! He was very attentive during our dine in.
