Piaggio should not be overlooked -- if you are at the fair, I would highly suggest the 2 sliders for @ $8. All fair food is expensive, that's a given, at least Piaggio was wonderful, friendly, and delicious, which is the goal of fair food. And the guy meeting and greeting the public, such a cutie. Pork is one of my most favorite meats to eat. I love to eat almost all meat but pork is a truly wonderful meat. (Even though I weep for the little piggies. oink). When I saw the pork sliders on the menu I immediately went for that. And I was super happy that we had made that decision. They are served on scrumptious and always welcome Hawaiian rolls. They came out from the kitchen super fast (but not too fast). They are really tender. They have a wonderful pink sauce inside. They are perfect. They made Ted and me smile, big smiles. colon, capital D smiles. I had an inexplicably negative image of the Piaggio truck in my head but that is no longer! Piaggio is a God of Argentine Cuisine! This was the second part of our meal at the LA County Fair, along with splitting a crepe from Crepes Bonaparte. We definitely found this truck's offerings much more to our liking! We split an order of the Pulled Pork Sliders and split a Porker Sandwich. I don't know about their tacos, burritos, and empanada choices - but the sandwiches were excellent!! The pulled pork slider was a surprise - they "pulled" it off really well. - I loved the sweet Hawaiian bun, the chimichurri and pink sauce mixed together for a nice balance of spices - all of it had a bunch of flavor that ran from salty to sweet, with tangy BBQ sauce, and moist, well sauced pork. It's served on a small slider bun, but they did stuff it with meat, and one way or the other, who doesn't like sweet buns stuffed with meat! The Porker sandwich was moist and tender as well. Marinated loin of pork, grilled (not breaded which was a plus), served on french bread with roasted red peppers, bleu cheese and chimichurri. Talk about putting one right down the middle of my flavor profile! The roasted red peppers were sweet, quality bleu cheese chunks and the chimichurri was full of spices, but not hot, (my wife was able to enjoy it - she inherited a white tongue - her words, not mine!). You could have put those toppings on just about anything - a burger, chicken sandwich, over a steak, or on steak sandwich and it would have been great! We requested one half with peppers and one without, and it came as ordered, the guy at the window handing me the order made sure I knew which was which, he was also really sincere about wanting us to enjoy our meal, which I appreciated. Two items combined to knock them down one star - The sliders were $8 dollars at the fair, which was ok, but are apparently only $5 on their regular menu. Also, they had a sign advertising carne asada chimichurri fries, which I really wanted to try, but were sold out. Of course, then I probably wouldn't have had one of the great sandwiches above, so maybe that was a blessing in disguise! Roomie and I were excited when we visited the Patchwork Indie Craft Fair in Santa Ana this month and low and behold, Piaggio was there. We'd been contemplating this food truck for a while now. We split the Argentinian Chorizo Sandwich with Chimichurri and shared the Skirt Steak Quesedilla with the resident 12 year old Jr. Foodie. The chorizo was juicy and flavorful and the chimichurri was fragrant and fresh. The bread was toasty and buttery....mmm...mmmm...good. While the sandwich was really, really tasty, it was kind of small for the $5 price tag. The quesedilla was really the show stopper. The skirt steak was tender, juicy with just the right balance of melty, ooey, gooey, yummy cheese. The pico/salsa topped it off perfectly and the side order of smoking hot salsa was really nice. We are looking forward to our next visit with Piaggio to see what other wonders lurk in that big, white truck. read more

Piaggio Gourmet on Wheels offers up some nice Argentine staples, like chorizos con chimichurri and meat empanadas. I met this truck at the food truck party that takes place every Wednesday on Michelson and Teller in Irvine. An avid fan I am of the Lime Truck. I chase the Lime Truck all the time, but on this food truck party day, I went to the Piaggio truck because I wanted to sample a chorizo on a baguette -- hot dog style with chimichurri sauce drizzled on top. I grew up with chimichurri, chorizos, and futbol, so I am a fan of a good chorizo or morcilla (Argentine blood sausage). Piaggio's chorizo was good. The flavor of the chorizo was nice, but the texture of the chorizo was not like the familiar sausages I like from the Argentine market, El Gaucho Market in Hawthorne. Still, it was nice and all that was missing was the Argentine matte. I liked the chimichurri sauce Piaggio serves up. I am a fan of this sauce and make it at home every chance I get. It adds so much flavor to bland meats like chicken and adds life to a meal. read more

Oh Piaggio On Wheels...I can only think of one word that best describes the gourmet food you serve daily. That word is: AMAZING. Coincidentally, it also describes the wonderful owners that greet me as "c_shells" (my twitter handle) whenever I stop by. From the delectable tilapia tacos to the crisp empanadas to the heaping goodness of the tres amigos burrito to the....well obviously this list can go on & on & on but I think you get the picture. There isn't one thing there that makes me upchuck or dish out a 'no thank you' when I see the menu. I especially love their daily specials that one can only discover by following them on Twitter (i.e. the peppercorn steak fries, shelly special, etc) Also, keep in mind that chimichurri (aka parsley/olive oil/garlic/cilantro orgy) is smothered on just about everything so if you're into that then I'm sure your tastebuds will sing it's praises after your first bite. The prices are also very reasonable so you won't have to worry about your 401k suffering from all the money you're spending on Argentine delights. read more

Was at the Santiago Lofts Art Walk last night in Santa Ana and spotted this truck hanging around. A friend recommended the pulled pork highly so I decided to check it out. I got their pulled pork taco and the chimichurri fries for $2 each--both were delectable! The pulled pork was tender and juicy with an interesting slightly sweet flavor, and the fries were nice and fresh but they could've been a bit more generous with the chimichurri sauce. Some might say the portions are on the small side but I wasn't that terribly hungry so it was fine with me. My friend tried two of their empanadas: the caprese and spinach and feta--both got two thumbs up so I'd say this truck's a winner. WOW! Hands down the best food truck I ate at, at the Santa Anita Food Truck Fest. I had their pulled pork slider with chimichurri sauce and it was amazing! Not like any pulled pork I've tried before. This truck is definitely my new favorite! I mean seriously, who doesn't love chimichurri? The absolute best thing I tried was one of their sandwiches (which I can't find on their online menu, so maybe it's a new addition); I'll try to describe it just in case. It was a delicious grilled chicken topped with blue cheese, roasted peppers and onions, chimichurri, lettuce, and tomato. AMAZING! They also have an awesome taco special; any 2 for $5. I tried the skirt steak and the pulled pork.. both good but I definitely liked the skirt steak more. The empanadas are also 2 for $5, and since they only offer two kinds I got one of each. Although the caprese (mozzarella, basil, and tomato) was inventive, the chicken was bursting with delicious Argentinian flavor. The chimichurri fries were average, but I used the side of chimichurri sauce that they gave to sinfully slather the rest of my food. (By the way, you can add an order of chimichurri fries to any meal for $2, and they give A LOT for a side order.) There chicken empanadas were pretty bomb. For dessert, their dulce con leche churros really were warm, delicious and all sorts of addicting. But that's for dessert, which should be at the end of the meal. What about the other main dishes? Their tacos are about $2, which in this day and age of modern food trucks, seems like a pretty good price. It's only really 50 cents more than what I would pay for a regular roach coach taco back in the day and it's a lot more tasty. But hey, even if you run by this truck on a Friday night during lent, you can still get your eating on with the Tilapia taco. Which does have a lot of flavor popping out of it. In retrospect, this truck really had a wide variety of items on the menu and yet they didn't miss a step on any of them. That's a pretty impressive feat to work. The old saying of Jack of trade, but master of none really doesn't apply to them. Then you have their great customer service and you have yourself a food truck that is well worth stopping by when you're in the neighborhood of. It has the sass, price and flavor of an old school truck but it manages to transition very well to the modern mobile gourmet food trucks. read more

Those pulled pork sliders are the BOMB! I had the opportunity to try this gourmet truck on wheels at the LA County Fair-2011. The pulled pork meat melts in your mouth along with the King's Hawaiian bread and special sauce. The pork and sweet bread compliment each other so well. I love the concept of food trucks. I always have. However, the emerging specialty trucks that have popped up in the last few years have honestly been more disappointment than delight. Piaggio, on the other hand, more than lives up to its reputation and tasty menu. First of all, when you look at the menu, you have the urge to want to try EVERYTHING. Everything looks and sounds so good, especially considering the scarcity of Argentine foods in general in Orange County. I tried the skirt steak taco, the pulled pork sliders, and the chicken empanada. The chicken empanada was incredible. Not that big, but at $2, I didn't feel like I got ripped off. The inside had great flavors and lots of chicken, but the outside was key. Being hot, slightly greasy, and crispy, the breading wasn't too thick at all, and that's hasn't always been the case with other empanadas I've had over the years. The sauce that's provided on the side made it that much more tasty. The pulled pork sliders were just as good, although you have to eat them fairly fast and soon after you get your order. The juices from the pork get soaked up by the Hawaiian bread, but overflow to where it makes it a borderline mess to eat. Think of the Carl's Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger commercials that have everything dripping off onto the floor/shoes/hot chick. Surprisingly, the skirt steak was just ok for me. I can imagine it being better/great for others, since it was nicely cooked. Large slices of steak with a slight pinkish middle. I might just be getting tired of tacos and/or prefer just plain old carna asada or carnitas. Prices are comparable to all of the other specialty food trucks, but the quality and selection is way off the charts. Bottom line: 5 Stars! It's ridiculously good! read more

Yummy pulled pork sliders! I love coming up to trucks to find someone who is enthusiastic, clearly loves what they do and working with people, and even offers a sample for you to try. Of course, the "free sample" always triggers the "now I gotta buy this" guilt, but that pulled pork was so tasty that I just had to get the sliders! They come in a pair, on Hawaiian sweet rolls, and (like most food truck offerings for me) are 75% of a meal unto themselves. It's excellent work and I'm excited to come back and try some of the other crowd favorites! This truck, by the way, says "Argentina" more than it says "Piaggio" -- it was only after my third visit to the Food Truck Roundup in Irvine that I realized "that Argentina truck" was actually Piaggio. read more

I had been wanting to try a gourmet food truck for a while now but had always been too lazy to go and track one down. On Tuesday, the Irvine Chamber put on a food truck luncheon event that I decided to go to. There were 10 or so trucks and the parking lot was crazy. Lines were everywhere and it was hard to tell which line went to which truck. Ultimately, I went with Piaggio because I had heard good things about it. After waiting 20 or so minutes in line, I ordered the bacon wrapped hot dogs, steak taco and the caprese empanada (they had run out of chicken). It took about another 15 minutes to actually get my food. I didn't realize the order of bacon wrapped hot dogs was two hot dogs so I had a lot of food and it only cost $9. I liked hot dogs the best. The buns were nicely toasted, there was a nice sauce on top and the bacon was flavorful. The steak taco was a little dry and while a caprese empanada was good, I wish there was more filling. I would love to try Piaggio again sometime soon to try more items on the menu and hopefully the line isn't so crazy. read more

Apparently this is the "original OC Argentine food truck" and has been serving Argentine food since November 2009. I was able to try them out at the Irvine Lanes Truck Lot, where several food trucks gather every Tuesday evening in the summer. My friend N.P. took me there and told me the empenadas from Piaggio are good, so I decided to try them out. You can get two empenadas for $7 and them add chimichurri fries for $2 (normally $3). No tax added, so my total was $9 and I was glad to see that they take credit card. PULLED PORK -- So I didn't order this, but they were offering free samples. It wasn't bad. I wouldn't order it though. EMPENADAS: CHICKEN and CAPRESE (fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes) -- The chicken one was a bit spicy and I didn't really care for it. I did really like the caprese one though. It was a great contast between the refreshing interior and the fried crispy exterior. Yum! CHIMICHURRI FRIES: This quintessential gaucho condiment consists of chopped parsley, garlic, oregano, oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and spices. -- I love that they have a sign on the truck explaining what chimichurri is. Unfortunately, the chimichurri isn't that great here. I love chimichurri sauce, so that was a bit disappointing. And then for their chimichurri fries, the fries themselves were very bland and meh, and all they did was throw some chimichurri on top of it right before they served it. I was hoping the fries would be soaked in the chimichurri sauce but nope... completely flavourless and not enjoyable. A waste of $2. The fries put a damper on my whole experience and made me want to give them 2 stars (also because I'm not a fan of the chicken empenada), but I did really like the caprese empenada and they were nice enough to give out samples of their pulled pork. Plus they take credit card, which is not something a lot of food trucks do. And the man taking orders was pretty nice... so I will give them 3 stars. But really it's 2.5. read more

The steak quesadilla is absolutely fantastic! Maybe the best quesadilla I have ever had. Beef was soft, flavorful and a plenty. The chimichurri sauce was a great accompaniment. Caprese empanada was also good with basil tomato and mozzarella. It was fresh and so hot that I think I burned my mouth. My wife loved her tofu burrito. They use a softer grade of tofu and not the firm one you typically see. It led to a creamier experience. Who doesn't love anything creamy? Their seasoned fries also very good. The food is good but not $8 for two small tacos with a tablespoon of meat. The beef was carne asada but it looked like ground beef mid way but it did have good flavor and was not dry. So the quality is tehre its just not enough of it. Their Chimichurri fries for $2 were ok but still was missing something had to put some ketchup and taptio to make it good. Spent $10 but I felt like it broke down to $4 worth of food and $6 convenience fee. I know I will end up coming back here since they park behind our bldg in Irvine. Maybe I will try the sandwiches. I found the Piaggio truck at a little food truck meetup along with 5 others. Out of all of them, I chose Piaggio because Argentine food isn't that common in brick and mortar restaurants, let alone food trucks! Plus chimichurri sauce sounded delicious. I got the porker sandwich and some churri fries. The sandwich was pretty awesome. I like the simplicity of 5 ingredients, just bread, meat, sauce, cheese, and veggie. The quality of each of those ingredients was pretty awesome too. Soft, chewy french bread, tasty marinade for the pork, chunky homemade chimichurri sauce (I don't like the chimichurri sauces that look like they came from an industrial blender or have some kind of cream blended in for whatever reason), big ol' slice of pepper, and standard but plentiful bleu cheese. It all worked together pretty well and the multiple strong flavors worked out with some surprising balance. The fries were standard, nothing special. The chimichurri on the sandwich was a normal amount, but they skimped on the fries! Maybe they were running low or something, because the pictures show a lot more chimichurri than I got :( :( :( Price is great, only $10 for the sandwich, fries, and a drink. Ahhhhh....thinking of a beautiful Buenos Aires morning while in the beautiful OC, I saw this food truck and thought I would give it a try. Based on the caprese empanadas, Argentine sausage sandwich, and service, I will be back to try the other items on the menu. Empanadas were light and tasty, which I think is an accomplishment when they are fried. Sandwich was on French bread that was excellent. Sausage wasn't greasy and perfect amount of chimichurri to balance out the flavor. Probably should've tried some meat! But it was early still and the empanadas really caught my eye. They have quesadillas and burritos...odd in my opinion but I bet they are good. I'm guessing that they have to be diverse in the food truck business in order to be profitable and that is why they have more AmeriMexican items on the menu. read more

Not bad...not bad at all. I ordered food from this truck when it was near the UCI CAMPUS. I ordered a steak taco, pulled pork taco, and fries. Everything was very tasty...however...I feel like the portion of the taco was a little small. I got these two small tacos for about $5...I guess its not that bad...especially coming from a GOURMET FOOD TRUCK. By the end of my meal, I couldnt really tell what ARGENTINEAN FOOD/FLAVOR was. The chimichuri (green thing?) was alright I thought. At the time, the service of the truck was slow, but its understandable because the food truck had such a LONG LINE! LEGIT! i have a few friends who are native born but now live here. they themselvse love the food. everything is good. nothing is a bad choice flavor? plenty off but not over the top in salt or sweet. everything is perfect! you have to appreciate the food for what it is to understand why it is soo good. if you are holding the bar and having expectation did i mention that the services is very quick and they are very nice? the tacos are not like regular tacos. if you want mexican tacos, this place is the wrong place, go else where. the empanada's are fried not baked if you can try the milanesa a caballo! good stuff... quite different from your norm read more

Credit where credit is due. This was the first truck to show up at the park in irvine near the spectrum. My wife daughters and I started our foodie experience with this lil truck. We ordered the steak tacos, pulled pork sliders, empanadas and a couple of other treats. This was absolutely the top of the food truck heap on this chilly night. The skirt steak tacos we scrumptious. Marinaded to perfection and hot off the grill, delicious. The empanadas were crunchy with gooey filling that is spot on. Then we shared the pulled pork sliders. Some of the best pulled pork I have ever had! The employees were friendly, seeming eager to please. We shared items from the other trucks, including the famous burnt truck. The four of us are in agreement the piaggio truck ruled the night. read more

My friends and I went here yesterday(Monday) when there was four food trucks total in Westminster. We went to try out the Dos Chinos but we wanted to try out all the trucks. When I was looking at the menu the guy gave me some samples of the Skirt Steak meat. HOW DID HE KNOW that I LOVE samples??!! LOL. The skirt steak was really good so I ordered 1 taco and the french fires. The fries were super fresh and crispy. I loved it! When my friend went up to order her food, he also gave her a sample of the skirt steak AND a Chicken Empanada!!! OMG WOW! so we brought it back to our group and everyone tried the samples and loved it so ALL of us went over and ordered a bunch of food. Thumbs up! The chicken emplanada was delicious! Also the food came out really quick and the owner was super friendly. I grabbed a business card and said I HAD to yelp this place to let everyone else know to try it out. I just noticed that some other reviews said that you can get the skirt steak on fries... too bad I didn't know that yesterday. =( I guess I will wait till next time to try it! Ate here last night at Din Din a Go Go . After looking at their menu, I was feeling the bacon wrapped hot dogs (2 for $5!), but then I noticed their specials and decided to go with the sage chicken over mashed butternut squash. It sounded healthier and more gourmet, plus I was wondering how I would eat this fancy chicken dish standing up. Well, the chicken was just ok. It was moist, but a little bland? I don't know, I didn't really taste the sage. I like the bnut mash, but it wasn't anything I couldn't make at home. I also had a bite of my friend's caprese empanada and it was kind of weird to be eating hot caprese. I guess I'm just used to cold caprese salads and I thought it was also a little bland. The chicken empanada that I got to go was a lot better, very flavorful. I gave my mom the skirt steak taco and she seemed to enjoy that as well. There were 2 guys in front of me who ordered the Tres Amigos and they seemed REALLY excited about it. One day at work, I was twiddling my thumbs and wondering when I should take my lunch. It was only 9:03am. 5 minutes later, email from admin pops up announcing some truck called Piaggio would be coming by at 11am. Instead of working on files, I drooled over Piaggio's menu until 11am. I saw the pulled pork fries that was $9 only! ONLY?! I found lunch! Upon seeing the truck and the ACTUAL menu, I was annoyed. It seemed that they put new prices on the items -white pieces of paper slapped over the old prices -everything was a $1 more... Ugh. Anyway, still ordered the pulled pork fries for $10 and man, I must've have smiled at him or flashed something because the cook loaded my plate with so much fries and pork...I was such a happy camper! Tender pork, crispy fries, their special chipotle sauce and all that chimichurri...There was enough to share with a coworker as well! This was such an amazing and filling lunch. A little more than 2 weeks later, and my wish was fulfilled - The Piaggio truck and I meet again. This time in Irvine. I decided I had to try something with the skirt steak (and no, this was not invented by Lady GaGa). I ordered the Porteno burrito -- black beans, white rice, cheddar and jack cheeses, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo and pink sauce (copied this from their site. I had no clue that all of this was in there). They should just call this "The Last Meal on Earth" burrito. I ate the whole damn thing and more than 15 hours later, I still feel full! And I lived to tell! I love this burrito, too, because the ingredients are also strategically placed so you get a taste of just about every ingredient. The carnivore in me loved that they didn't skimp on the really good stuff - good ol' bovine flesh. Juicy and tasty. I think the burrito would do well without the rice, as it makes the burrito too carby heavy. I'd opt for more pico de gallo and cheese, and that would make it a 5-star burrito. read more

I ran into this place, and a bunch more food trucks at the Farm to Food Truck even in costa mesa, while I was furniture shopping, it was a really nice coincidence too :). I mean furniture shopping wasn't going all that well and when we pulled into the lot at the south coast furniture shops we saw this giant gathering of people and trucks and the first thing that clicked in my mind was hot damn its lunch time. This was my first experience with a "food truck" event let alone eating at a food truck. I ordered the two tacos for 5 bucks (which isn't all that cheap when you really think about the size of them and the amount of meat you get...they really load it up with the lettuce and the pico de gallo) and I went for their signature skirt steak. They really piled on the lettuce, idk if this is the custom, but it seemed like a lot to me and kind of took away the flavor from the meat and what must have been hand-made pico de gallo. The steak was really flavorful, but it was kind of dry and really didnt have an juices to it, which I knew skirt steak really can when its cooked right. All in all it was a decent taco, nothing to write home about, but for the price it cost I'm going to try another taco truck next time. One of the best parts of the day was I realized there was a yelp booth here, i swung by and snagged myself a bottle opened (which I used on my corona with my tacos) and a deck of playing cards and talking a bit with the yelp people who were working there...as I expected super nice and super friendly. All in all it was a fun time, and Piaggio was decent, btu I think next time I will have to try some other trucks read more

I've never had a taco from them so maybe there's something I don't understand, but I don't get why so many have mentioned that they're overpriced. The prices seem pretty standard for a food truck, if not slightly lower than some of the newer guys. Like I said, I've never had the tacos, but I have enjoyed the sliders which had really good, juicy pulled pork. I also had a tofu quesadilla. It made me miss the old Tofu Festival that they used to have in LA where you got to try tofu in all sorts of new and interesting ways. This is one truck that I definitely want to track down again. They have a pretty diverse menu and I want to try their bacon wrapped hot dogs next time. read more

As much as i like food i'm quite lazy to chase down these trucks... so in general i'm still a roach coach newb. This is my first try of these lines of gourmet food trucks... and I was happy with my food. 1 chicken empanada - way delicious, crispy but not overly greasy. well stuff, and well flavored chicken filling. good size. (sold out of this a little after me... lucky me) 1 steak taco - tender beef, meaty filling. could have used a little more chimichurri or seasoning in general, but decent meat chimichurri fries - crispy not overly greasy (though when you put the chimichurri sauce it gets greasy, in a good way, of course)... done just the way i like it. Only bad thing is THEY FORGOT THE CHIMICHURRI SAUCE!?! bad bad bad tsk tsk... :-\ i went back to ask for some... i would have been huuuugely disappointed if i left w/o it. And from the reviews i think this has happened before :( In general the chimichurri was ok. I'm not a chimichuri aficionado, and i'm not Argentinian, but from my random encounters encounters with this lovely sauce left me feeling only ok with theirs. Their "pink sauce" was yummy... it's tangy and i could taste the chilies ... not spicey but like peppers/chilies... i really enjoyed this... i am sad i over looked this sauce in the beginning and didn't really start getting into it till after I ate most of my food. I'm gonna try to pay more attention to this sauce the next time. Over all good food. There were a few other items on the menu i'm interested in trying so if i have the opportunity to i would be up for another order from Piaggio. Side note: the argentinian sausage has a similar taste to chinese sausage (lap-cheong) ... but like 5x subtler... i had a bit of my friend's order, just the sausage, no bread or sauce and it was a very light tasting sausage, so i could imagine other flavor masking the sausage flavor... but still looked pretty good though maybe not as worth the price compared to the other menu items. The special that day was their portabello/spinach quesadilla... that sounded awesome but they sold out pretty early of this i think :( read more

Confession: Piaggio was the very first food truck that I tasted from this recent food truck frenzy. Does that mean something? Yes. It means that judging a book by it's cover is still used by everyone at all ages. I picked Piaggio out of all the food trucks that were at the Patchwork Arts & Craft festival because their photos of the food, display of their menu, and overall appearance was the most appealing. I think what I noticed here first was their assortment of tacos. I ended up getting the pork taco? and fries---amazing choice. I have heard mixed reviews from here because of certain items other people have gotten (burritos, chicken taco, etc.), so don't be too confident with your chosen items ;) Other than that, Piaggio is literally the truck that you are bound to see at any food truck filled event. They even came out to one of our on-campus housing at UCI on a random night. Definitely props on that. College kids are the most hungry human beings you'll even encounter. read more

Went to Teller & Michelson for a lunch adventure and Oh my gosh, I am so glad I got out of the office even though it's like 100 degrees outside!! So delicious... had the Tilapia fish tacos and fries with chimichurri sauce:) I can't stop smiling this was the best lunch ever!!! I decided to splurge today because I was running late and didn't pack my lunch.. Oh my gosh so delicious!!! I can't wait to try more. I was actually in line at Dos Chinos, but their line was crazy long and it was butt hot today, so I jumped out of line to the Piaggio truck and boy am I glad I did. The tilapia fish tacos were perfect because they weren't breaded (I'm trying to watch my figure)... and the corn tortillas are a perfect size, not too big so you actually get more fish instead of tortilla. The creamy sauce was perfect and the lime was the "cherry on top", the flavors marry so well:) The fries were amazing!!! Oh my gosh I love garlic fries, but the fries w/ chimichurri is off the hook. Crispy fries not soggy:) Thanks Yelp for letting me know about these awesome lunch trucks, you definetly "Trucked me up". I'm on a budget but with so many options at my fingertips, I feel like I can eat gourmet food and still save money:) read more

So this is food truck number 3? When we arrived to the food truck, we wanted to try everything! I really wanted to but we were going to hit the Boiling Crab after so I couldn't clean out the food truck this time. I ordered their lunch special: Choose 1 empanada, 1 Taco, and Choose the Two of the Following: Salad, Rice, Fries I chose: Caprese Empanada- I was surprised at the buttery flavor of the crust! I thought it would have more spices such as cumin and garlic but I still loved it! I love caprese so having it in an empanada was a joy. Tofu Taco- I was a bit disappointed by this because a regular suggested it to me but I found it a bit bland on the inside, it was just coated with spices. And it wasn't cooked to a crisp, it was like regular med soft-firm tofu. Their garlic or whatever aoili sauce (its like peachish cream colored) was pretty good! I liked it with my fries! My fries were crispy and seasoned. It was good but no wow factor. And I had their rice- it was okay So did I really enjoyed my meal? Yes but I'm still a bit iffy on giving them four stars, maybe I'll come again and do an update! read more
