Last night we ordered 3 pizzas for take out. It cost $75 for three pizzas which to me is pretty high. One of the pie orders was wrong - I had removed some items and added 2 items for which I paid extra. None of the extras were added to the pizza. The margarita pizza was very sparse on sauce. The Pepperoni pizza was good. For $20 per pie I would expect a little more. I would be willing to try again but next time I will dine in instead of order out. read more

The gluten free pizza was just was ok, but I won't deter you from the pizza, I'll base my review off of the service. The restaurant was super busy so I went and sat at the bar. I specifically got there early for the half priced happy hour drinks. I ordered a couple glasses of wine before 6 while I was waiting for my friend to meet me for dinner. The service from the bartender was awful... He wouldn't clear up anyone's plates or trash from the bar and he wouldn't acknowledge you at all. If you tried to tell him anything he just stared at you, he wouldn't respond back at all or tell you a single word, and then would just walk away. He did this the whole night... I asked him for a water which he didn't bring until I asked him again 30 minutes later. At the end he brought us the bill which had the wrong price for the wine. I explained that they were ordered during happy hour. He then proceeds to argue with me on when I got there to which I told him, "Would you like to see my pictures with the time stamps?" He responded that we didn't need to go that far and that he would deal with it. Instead he brings his manager over and she proceeds to argue with me about it as well... Horrible experience! tried ordering through Ubereats and order kept cancelling. I then tried DoorDash and kept giving me an error and was unable to order. I then called the restaurant and waitress told me to try it through their web. I let her know that it was a large order for an office and needed delivery and she said it wasn't a problem. Found out that is only pick up, so I call the restaurant back and she says sorry. I asked to speak to the manager. I get put on hold and I start placing the order on their web. Try to check out and is giving me the same error. I decide to break the order in two. first order goes through, second order gives me same error, so I started taking things off my order and figured out without the garlic Parmesan bread the order goes through. I'm still on hold for the manager after 30 minutes. I decide to hung up and go get my order. Food was not as good as expected. the pizza was burnt, and there were egg shells in the pasta. On a recent visit, the service provided by Ethan was a disaster which affected our dining experience. Having had a previous positive experience with a large group at the restaurant, we encouraged a couple to meet us. If the restaurant is going to pride itself on its Italian food offerings, train your servers to provide Italian dining etiquette. That means if 3/4 of the people at the table are still eating their entree, don't grab the plate of the person who is done, even after he told you not to. Then Ethan came around again, and literally grabbed the plate out of the diner's hand after he said he wasn't done. He was holding off to get his spouse's leftovers. Ethan continued his manic behavior by putting dessert menus on the table while we were still eating our entrees, and stood to recite something about dessert while we first tried to ignore him. We told him it wasn't time since we were still eating, and he ignored what we were saying, and kept talking, even after he was told to leave the table. Talk about tone-deaf. The "Manager" Kyle came by afterwards to ask how everything was going. When he was told about Ethan's poor service, all he could say was he hoped we would return. Yea, buddy, coz there are no other choices on Magnolia we will come running back. BTW, the gnocchi was so salty, it was barely edible. Sure, maybe Magnolia has a couple pizza/pasta options already, but regardless, Pie Tap is such a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, in my opinion, as well as that of others. Any review I've read or heard has been wonderful, so I was excited to see for myself tonight as a party of one. Immediately upon walking in the door for my first time, I was greeted and checked on by not only the hostess on shift, but several other employees who happened to pass by. Miguel made sure to chat me up about where else in the area we might have seen eachother, and that helped me feel right at home from the start! Given that I was a solo party, I opted for a bar seat and had a great experience being served by Izzy. I was already deadset on the garlic knots, because you can never go wrong with bread, right? But these are different; the perfect ratio of crispy/crunchy outer layer and soft, fluffy innards, paired with the most delectable provolone Asiago whip, which absolutely blew my mind!!! Seriously, I could house 2 cups of this velvety smooth stuff with just a spoon, no bread needed. Then comes the entree. Everyone wants to discuss the GF pizza crust, and while I agree, that's definitely a really great thing to offer, and it's amazing (from what I've had second hand in the form of leftovers from friends) it IS indeed also, so wonderful. I, however, was most interested in the pasta. Specifically, I was elated at the several options including bucatini and the fact that the meatballs are made with chicken, not beef, or even Turkey. The bucatini is cooked to perfection, with the perfect texture, and the organic tomato sauce tastes just as it's boasted to, perfectly fresh and delectable. The chicken meatballs were tender, juicy and flavorful. All in all, my entire experience, from the welcoming service at the host stand, my server Izzy's knowledge & expertise in regards to the menu which helped me decide between my top 2 entree contenders, all the way to the details such as the overall delivery and presentation of each course, every one of which tasted so incredible that I was probably bordering on annoying with my satisfactory exclamations. So, I can certify, as I'd heard and expected, that Pie Tap will continue to serve all of us in the area even more incredible Italian fair, whether you choose pizza or pasta, and if you decide to dine in, the service will be absolutely stellar. So, the only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because this newer restaurant is still working some kinks out. A friend and I showed up on a Friday evening, we didn't have reservations but we're told it was a 20-25 minute wait. Well... we waited 39 min so I asked the hostess how much longer. She told me the wait time was changed to 1 1/2 hours! Of course I was disappointed and baffled at how the time got longer by almost a full hour. Anyway... they told me that it was because people with reservations were now showing up. Not sure how that is a good excuse for changing wait time by an additional hour after already waiting 5 minutes past our original waiting. Well to make a long story short, Bailey, the manager made it all better. After hearing our complaint, she apologized and quickly found us a table and offered to pay for an appetizer. After being greeted by our very attentive server, we were quickly served. He needed some more training, as far as knowledge of serving wine (Cab doesn't need to be chilled), but he graciously listened and thanked me for enlightening him. Then the food... bread: excellent! The bread served on the charcuterie board was amazing as well as the pizza crust. The toppings were delicious. We had some pasta, too. It was good. However, I will be sticking to pizza when coming here. It was definitely worth any trouble we had to get it. With a few tweaks and time, this restaurant will quickly get five stars from me. Bailey was receptive to any critiques I had and seemed truly eager to change any issues we experienced that night. Looking forward to another visit and more of their delicious pizza! read more

After three visits we can definitely say the food AND service is totally worth the 5+ stars!!! The food is excellent! We have loved everything we had but to name a few we love the fondue, meatballs, and garlic knots to start off! For dinner the Farm Bird is really just can't go wrong it truly is cooked perfectly! The sausage pie is a MUST, the caramelized onions have my mouth watering as I type. A new favorite is the pesto pasta! Our neighbor said he goes for the pasta every time! I usually split the "Works" salad and a pie with my husband or we split some apps and a pie! Most importantly though is how awesome the service is here! My family and I walked in to an almost empty restaurant. We were greeted by the hostess and sat immediately, where we waited for maybe 10 minutes before anyone even came by our table. I'm guessing it was a manager and she stated how they just have one server, which we don't mind waiting. But another 10 minutes pass and he still hadn't even walked by us. He was only tending to one table at a time apparently. We didn't even continue past that point. There were a few managers sitting and talking by the pizza oven seating area. I'm so disappointed, especially because I've been to a different pie tap location and the service was excellent, and the food is amazing too, but it just doesn't make sense that he couldn't even come by the table to say hello for two seconds in the 20 minutes that we were there.
