When I order a cheesecake half the time I will get a call that they're all out and they can't refund me the money so I have to pick a different dessert (I dont want a different dessert though). This place is middle of the road for us, not great but not terrible. Pizza crust, while flavorful, is thin so gets soggy pretty fast. Sauce and toppings are ok nothing outstanding. We have tried the firehouse hot wings and their signature sauce. Stick to the firehouse, the signature wings are more sweet than spicy and not in a good way. I like to stick to local joints whenever possible so we might try this again but with other options equally as close to us, this one isn't standing out too well. read more

We didn't expect to find such cozy ambiance in this pizza place, which from the outside looks like any other strip mall in Tucson. The pizza is quite good! We tried the Greek and the Sonoran - I wasn't too excited about ordering the Sonoran (green chiles with pizza sauce didn't sound so good), and though it wasn't my favorite, it wasn't bad either (everyone else at the table really liked it). The Greek was excellent, with spinach, black olives, chicken, and a heavy dose of feta - yum! They make a pretty decent Caesar salad, and the house chicken wings were tangy and juicy. There is a limited but nice selection of wine and beer, including a couple gluten-free offerings. And for the gluten-intolerant, gluten-free crust is also available. This place clearly has a loyal following. Both times we've been here, the owner was there, chatting with the regulars. Friendly staff. This isn't Blackjack, so expect your pizza to take a bit longer to cook - however, it's well worth the wait. read more

I used to come to this location when it was Vito's (one of the few pizzerias that had salami had a topping). Such a great location for those of us who live in the area and want to frequent local businesses. Three of us tried Piezano's two weeks ago and we were impressed. My girlfriend and I split the Caesar and then we ordered two pies. Great sauce and fresh toppings. Having had such a great experience, my girlfriend and I returned a few days ago. We decided that the Caesar is probably one of the best in Tucson and we wanted to try the wings (5$ on Wednesday). And order another pizza. Once again, we weren't disappointed. The wings were lean and not fatty like you find in other places. The pizza was great again. We've ordered the meat pie both times and the sausage is a little on the spicy side (so dont douse the slice with dried peppers until you try it). I agree with the other reviewer: I hope this place lasts too! Can I suggest adding salami as a topping? read more

This was such a great little place!! I took my wife there for a date night and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was. For a Friday night it was a little under staffed with one girl helping the small handful of people there. She was very pleasant and helpful letting us know what the menu was like. It definitely has a small "mom-pop" feel which was nice, compared to some places like Sauce or Pizza Hut.. The pizza was wonderful!! We ordered a pepperoni with bacon pizza and the bacon was real bacon and not just ham (canadian bacon), with a very flaky crust. It wasn't flat or hard but rather soft and flaky. The pizza was also a build your own but the menu has some of their house pizzas which looked really good also. The house ranch was AMAZING!! Dipping the pizza in the ranch gave it a great taste and there isn't anyway to describe it. It most definitely is not Hidden Valley ranch or something equivalent. The decor is akin to a small New York pizzeria with pictures of popular places around the Big Apple. My wife and I would absolutely go again, multiple times, and we are recommending this place to friends. We ordered calamari and it was soggy and chewy. Our single pizza took 40 minutes. My kids and I left hangry and resolved to never eat at Piezanos again. I have only been to this place once but I rather enjoyed it. Really nice antipasto salad and the pizza was good. Nice, sweet sauce and flavorful cheese blend. Nice, thin crust that had some good crunch to it. The counter is inconveniently shaped for those working there...but that didn't affect the taste of my food so it doesn't matter to me. I'd definitely go again. Good beers on tap and a nice wine selection. The owner was super friendly and you could tell he was probably in the restaurant most of his waking hours. And it shows. I live very close to the restaurant and have always wanted to try but what an absolute disappointment it is. The service is awful. I ordered a beer 3 times and the waitress still never brought it out. The pizza was average. Crust tasted like dominoes pizza crust used to taste....cardboard. Been to the establishment twice now for sit in dining. Has an incredibly comfortable and friendly feel that makes me feel right at home! So far, my boyfriend and I have ordered the XXL pizza both time and absolutely loved it. This is our favorite pizza place from now on, highly recommend. The server may forget about you occasionally, as there are usually only 2 or 3 people their, but I appreciate the server not constantly breathing down my neck like some other places, so I still say 5/5 definitely recommend!!! read more

Amazing! Have tried Piezanos several times since their opening and have been consistently impressed with the quality of pizza and other food there. The crust is chewy, the sauce is lovely with a nice spice to it, and prices are awesome. They also have a good selection of nicely prepared salads to feast on prior to the carb over load. This place is a hidden gem! We started going to this place on a recommendation from a friend.. we always get pizza and it's always delicious. We recently tried their pasta wings and calzone and let me tell you they where amazing! Their young waitress by the name of ALEXiS is awesome she is very sweet and attentive always checks up on us to make sure we are doing good and have everything we need.. the only thing is that they do take a bit to get your order out to you but I think it's because everything is made fresh and that's perfectly fine with me. read more

Well, I finally ate here. Pizza - yummy. Has what was a little weirder sauce, but was still good. Tasted a loy like a meat sauce. Crust was good, not grimaldis good, but better than a Pizza Hut. Toppings were badass, they use real pepperoni that are large sized. Grease was relatively low, and it was cooked perfect. I also got an order of the firehouse wings. While not fried I don't think, the sauce was very very good. Good covering of sauce, and they had a solid kick, but not stupid hot. Service was good - I got it for take away though. A friend and I came in at around 6:35 on a Monday night. The restaurant is small but cozy. As we walked in a man-who might have been the manager- was doing some work in the open kitchen area. He pointed my friend and I to a table and said someone would be with us soon. I thought this was a good sign of the experience we were going to have at this place-but I was so wrong. At 6:45 a waitress with bleach blonde hair and a Santa hat approached the table-and asked if we were ready to order. She did not acknowledge the fact that we had been waiting for 10 minutes, no apology or anything. I decided to brush it off and my friend and ordered two waters with lemon, 8 piece hot wings and a pizza. 15 minutes later-at 7:00 pm our waters came. Mind you the restaurant was very quiet on this Monday. Again, I tried to brush it off-I was really trying to give this place a chance. Then I noticed we had no straws. This bleach blonde girl in the Santa hat was nowhere to be found. 5 minutes pass and I see her bringing a check to a table next to mine and I said: Excuse me, can I get two straws? She brings me two straws and scoffs as if it was such an inconvenience for her to do the basics of her job. 10 minutes after the straw incident our wings arrive. Y friend and I were a bit more relieved since they looked so good! This time a young brunette brought out the wings (the bleach blonde Santa hat girl was MIA). She placed the plate of wings between my friend and I and said enjoy and was about to walk away. I stopped her and said: plates would be really helpful. Thank you! And she giggled and said sure. She comes back and brings two white plates in front of my friend and I. We both look down and see actually dried crusty food on both of our plates. And my friends plate was sticky! My friend said: Excuse me this plate is dirty. And the young waitress said "Oh, I'm sorry let me get another." I then pointed her attention to mine as well. I then said: "I'm sorry but we can't eat here. It took us 15 minutes to get waters. The girl in the Santa hat seems bothered by her basic job duties and now these plates are dirty. We have to go." So then we got up and left. As I was walking out I saw bleach blonde Santa hat girl approach the table to speak to the other waitress. I could have stayed to discussed what happened but I did not see a resolution. When folks dine out they don't go simply for the food. They go for the experience. And it's clear that this place does not care about their customers or for their safety. I plan on filling a report with the department of public health to visit this place. My whole experienced sucked. But nobody should be eating off dirty plates. read more

Fantastic food. We ordered a build your own Supreme Pizza and a spicy Alfredo penne pasta dish. I've never liked ordering supremes pizza's at most pizza shops because there's usually one or two topping I'd prefer to substitute. They've solved that by letting you pick 3M & 3V I highly recommend a: Pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, ricotta, tomato, and onion. Also their crust was delightful. I'm usually found wanting with most pizza crusts opting to drown it in ranch or marinara, but Piezano's pizza crust was too good, ranch would have ruined it. They also usually have home made cookie for sale at the register, I highly suggest getting those as well. We ordered online through their website, very convenient. read more

Went to eat here with a Groupon we had. Ordered a 9 in for the hubby with pepperoni and sausage and a slice for me with bacon and pineapple. Pizza was delicious the crust was amazing and the sauce too was very good. They put fresh pineapple on my slice and the bacon was crispy and not soggy at all like most places I get it. They are in the process of getting a new liquor license so no alcohol was served which was sad since I was looking forward to pizza and beer. However we will go back after they have the license and enjoy their delicious pizza again and want to try some more items on the menu. Well I have tried at least a dozen restaurants for my Friday pizza delivery experience and again found a dud. We got two pizzas. One with pepperoni and another that was a supreme. Each pizza seemed quite naked of cheese. Folks the idea behind pizza is a good bit of sauce a great crisp crust and a nice gooey cheese. I believe you failed pizza 101. The price was on the high end. Delivery time was a bit long but if the pie is good that wouldn't matter. I actually liked the spicy pepperoni but overall the toppings were lacking. read more

My wife and I used to go to the old Vito's before it closed down and we have to say we missed the local pizza joint. Piezanos is a fantastic spot! Crust is chewy yet enough to really sink your teeth into. The toppings are fresh as well as the sauce. There is something added that really gives the whole pie an awesome flavor. We elected to go carry out since we live close by, service was nice, pizza was not done when I arrived but that led me to sit down at the grab a cold one at the bar. The inside of the place has not changed since Vito's and that's OK. Great atmosphere and a helpful local small business owner staff will cater to your needs. Needless to say, I am glad to see another owner reclaim the restaurant. It is great to have a new pizza option on our area and we will be back soon!
