I always like trying new places especially local business & I was not disappointed in the flavor. Pricing here isn't too bad but really clean. The sauce is delicious and slightly sweet, the topping are high quality and the quantity is just enough without being over the top, the prices here are more than fair favor of the customer, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Great little place. Delicious thin crust pie! We chose the Vegetable pizza with added pepperoni. It was perfectly done. One 14 inch pie easily fed two adults: we were going to take home leftovers, but it was so good we kept going until it was gone. Great service by very nice people, but one wonders (judging by some other reviews) how they would do if they were slammed on a busy weekend: with just two employees on a slow Tuesday night we had no complaints. Unlike some pizza joints, they made it easy to dine in, with nice table settings complete with fresh flowers. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to try this place, I had a long day at work and I needed to sit down but I really wanted a hot pizza.... Im totally sick of dominoes across the street, I needed some substance. My boyfriend and I sat down at the counter and had a glass of wine and watched the owner make our pizzas, we chatted with him and enjoyed the peaceful respite from the normal pizza joint feel. It was cozy and the pizzas were great (Im no expert but I m from philly, and I like a good pizza). The crusts were chewy and soft and flavorful, and the sauce was sweet and mild. I have ordered delivery from this restaurant to Tucson Hop Shop on numerous occasions, and I am super impressed with the quality of these pizzas and the speed of the service. The pizza crust is not too thick, and has good flavor. There's a wide variety of toppings to choose from, my favorite combo so far has been green pepper, ricotta, and pepperoni. I have yet to actually eat in the restaurant, but considering how delicious the pizza is after it's been driven three blocks down Ft. Lowell, I have an even greater experience to look forward to! read more

I must have gone on a bad day because the pizza was very below average. I really hate leaving bad reviews but the pizza I ate was 2 star quality. I literally have had better frozen pizza. The crust tasted like the premade kind they sell at Walmart. I would really like to give this spot another try due to it having 4.5 stars. I will post an update. read more

Nice little pizzeria! Have very good pizza's with awesome crust! My favorite is the sausage, green pepper & onion! I know it's not cutting edge or pretentious but it is damn good pizza! For all you goat cheese and fig folks I am sure they can fix you up! Their pasta is also good, very nice marinara! A excellent caesar salad. This is our favorite place to order pizza from, we tend to eat pretty healthy but our one cheat meal always ends up being pizza because you know pizza. We get a lot of take out pizza from local sports, national chains and even the grocery store take and bakes but Piezanos is by far our favorite. We have gotten a number of different specialty pizzas and build your own and we always love it, never greasy, toppings always evenly distributed with the perfect amount and cooked to perfection. They have a cool little dining area with beers on tap and always a game on the bar TV great little environment for a casual pizza night. I totally agree with Edward D. My kids and I wanted to try this place since we love pizzas. Well first off, when we came in none of the staffs greeted us. We had to ask another customer if we are to seat ourselves. Then after sitting at the table for 10mins. A guy at the bar table signals for the brunette waitress to come to our table. She comes over, no apology, no smiles and unfriendly demeanor. After we've ordered, it took a long while before getting our pizza. Also we were presented with dirty plates. Again no apology from the waitress. When I went up to pay the bill. I presented the mobile coupon, the careless waitress redeemed both coupons! Exceeding our bill total. Since our experience was bad, I didn't want to return. I decided to used the other coupon that they've said they'll honor on my next visit. Well guess what! The young man who took my order for the pizza to go, said it'll just be a little bit for my order to be ready. So my kids and I sat down to wait. 15 mins later another person comes up and asked what was our order. Because the person before didn't put in the order correctly! Sadly I feel Piezanos only gets 3 stars for me. Cute little Pizza Joint with lots of red and black colors giving it a very chic look. The staff seemed a bit bland lacking any warmth or welcoming. I am a former NYer looking always for the best Pizza in town. Being an avid Yelper I try all the new places in town to make my own N.Y. decisions. I do the same for Chinese food also. At any rate, first of all they have a large pizza menu and you can also make your own which is nice. They have salads, calzones and calamari. We chose the latter. It was very chewy and breaded lightly but it just lacked flavor. It came with a red sauce which was so so. We ordered the pizza with veggies, artichokes, onions and zucchini. The onions were sautéed perfectly that was the best part. The crust was almost like a cardboard. No crisp to it. Just basically flat. They have a large selection of beers which we didn't have so I can't comment on that. I really wish I could say something more positive. I see they do a real good take out business. I wish them well and glad to add it to Tucson's list of Pizza Places. read more

Worst Pizza Shop in town!!! Waited two hours after we called in our delivery order to tell us they would not be delivering it, they blamed it on traffic from "Winterhaven". The day after Christmas! We are so tired of big chain pizza so thought we give this a try. Awesome decision. Started with wings, with the "piezano's house" bbq. Perfect blend of heat n sweet and I can't explain, but it's different in a good way than any of usual wing flavors out there. Owner was very friendly, even the other customers were very friendly making suggestions. Everyone talking and having a nice time made it pleasant. Everything looks like it's house made, everyone working there was making something like dough, sauce, cutting up toppings. You could see how everything was being made. Handmade dough, sauce,fresh toppings,made right in front as we waited. Not like other places where it's pre-made out of the freezer or something. If the owner could grow his own produce, I think he would. This place is addictive, we will be back. Pizza crust was flavorful and perfectly cooked, not too soft, not overdone, just right. Pizza sauce is also unique, nice blend of tangy, fresh tomato taste. I honestly don't think any toppings are needed. I ended up devouring the pizza and thinking about getting one to go. First off, this is the first Sunday they're open for business--so don't be deterred by the "Closed on Sunday" note. I have never written a review for any restaurant, regardless of how delicious the food had been or how terrible the service was. My experience at Piezonas was awful to say the least, and I was hoping to ward off some people who may accidentally waste their money on this place as well. To start off when my husband and I went in, there was only one man working in the entire restaurant, which I have seen before but he was obviously overwhelmed and it seemed like two more people walking in just added to the stress. It was very apparent we were more or less a burden than welcomed. He told us to take a seat and he'd be right with us. As more people trickled in, he took their orders, got their drinks as we sat quietly in the corner waiting for him. It was about 15 minutes before he even came to our table, (after he had greeted every other guest first who arrived after us) my husband ordered a beer and I a soda. Theirs is a self serve soda fountain; I picked a relatively clean glass and got ice and soda, took it back to my table, i was mindlessly sipping at it when my husband asks what's wrong with my drink. I look down and there's probably 50 bugs inside my drink, floating, crawling up the sides, apparently they had infested the inside of the machine (which would take at least 24 hours I imagine so people were probably drinking these bugs all day as our visit was late in the evening) we tell the employee, to which he seems all the more flustered. I get a styrofoam cup of water. This is off putting, but we stay. About 30 minutes later we watch as he JUST starts to make our food. We are hungry, but once again decide to wait. As the food finally arrives it's burnt and looks completely unappetizing, we got single slices and they just looked bad. The cheese was burnt, the bottom was a bit burnt, and it wasn't cooked evenly. I ate about half my slice, my husband ate all his, and we decide to leave, as my husband goes up to pay, a giant cockroach comes up from the underside of my table, runs across the plates, straight at me, I scream, stand up, and it falls right in my chair, had I not stood up, it would have fallen right in my lap. We got NO apology, NO discount, NOTHING. He seemed unfazed by the infestations and our concerns were not acknowledged as if it was something that happened on a regular basis. I have debated calling the health department, but decided against it. DO NOT waste your money here, the place is dirty, the food is substandard, and they obviously can't handle high volumes of costumers. My husband and I are never going here again. UGH. read more
