Lil Red pizza. Good flavors. Which it were a little less crunchy.

I think I will need a 2nd visit for a more thorough review. Very friendly staff (Dylan) took order with good guidance. We got the Lil' Red and a special Street Corn pizza. The flavor on the Little Red was good, but it came a tad dry. Gave more of a focaccia vibe. The Street Corn Pizza, on the other hand, was juicy, tasty, and very original. It should be added to the menu for always ! The unusual rooftop is fun. Completely empty when we got up there at 6:30p on Tuesday evening. Fantastic views of surrounding hills and Sunset Bl. Music was campy, game show tunes. Not my fave, but no demerits for that. Some Lenny Kravitz or ColdPlay or Yola would've been perfect. It was dog friendly and I appreciated that. Quincy liked the crust ! We have a LOT of good pizza in the hood... I hope this one lasts for its special venue and unusual take on pizza.

Who doesn't enjoy sitting on a nice open air rooftop while enjoying a Detroit like/style pizza? People who hate things. But I don't hate things. The rooftop is scenic and wonderful for these hot summer evenings. The star of the show is a square Detroit style pizza. Not quite as dense or rectangular, these pizzas are cut into four triangles. If you get the east side version you get that cheese lattice on the side. It provides good crunch. The dough feels like a slightly heavier focaccia, but it works. The pepperoni was cupped and thick. It has slightly crispy edges and offered great chew. The condiments offered are red pepper flakes and a chili oil! The chili oil works and is highly addictive, especially if you like spice. They do not have an alcohol license so there is currently no booze. The smore dessert was interesting. It was a little too thick and the base was a dense shortbread style biscuit. It wasn't bad, but definitely not my favorite. Other things to note... this is Silverlake so parking will suck. It's street or neighborhood so keep a look out.

The pizza is delicious. The view is gorgeous! They have beer and wine. Staff is friendly. What more do you want?

The service here was great, and the vibe from the rooftop was lovely. My pizza was just okay (I ordered the Lil Red), but I do think that I could've had a better pizza if I ordered something different. The salad was good. I'd give this place another shot.

Who doesn't love pizza? The pizza here isn't quite deep dish but the crust and toppings are great! I tried the Eastside Frenchie and the Eastside Seoul Kitchen. The Frenchie was pretty good especially with the tomato basil sauce you can ask for on the side. The Seoul Kitchen wasn't quite my taste but was still a great pizza. Service was great, friendly, and fast. The rooftop has a bit of a stair maze to go through to reach and at the time of my visit, the elevator was out of order. Nice view from up top!

Food: I'm a chef, lived 6 years in Europe and the UK. I worked (now focused on film) under a world class Chef on Food Network. This pizza is imo the BEST i've ever had. A+ Service: the rooftop is more of a "byob picnic" but the people who work here are amazing and kind. A+ My friend who was on a budget was given a free pizza! This is unheard of generosity! Ambiance. A+ again, its personal taste but a rooftop in the heart of Silverlake, with views of Sunset blvd and the Hollywood sign! Plenty of space, comfortable picnic tables. Awesome Everything went well. I'm a conservative who does not share the owners political views but so what? We need to start loving people-no matter what their views are.

    Rooftop views!

It's the most interesting pizza I've had in years. We tried the Frenchie and the GTX, and they're just really good pizzas of what I would want deep dish to taste like. Very good cheese and ingredients and just not a abomination amount of tomato sauce. The place also has really amazing views from its rooftop terrace over Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake, unlike any other restaurant in the area. I will say they did not have heaters now in the winter. They said they're getting them. So at night, it was a bit cold, but hopefully, they fix this soon. Also the pizzas are big so two people can eat off the four slice pizza

The pizza was great, the dough is more akin to focaccia than traditional. Lots of unique topping arrangements. The frozen pop was very refreshing treat. Can't beat the views overlooking Sunset, Los Feliz and East Hollywood!

Not what was pictured on uber eats. Brownie was all frosting and tasted old.

Was super excited to try this place and it was a big let down. We got take out and ordered the lil red and a couple others. All the pizzas just tasted like focaccia with some stuff on top. There were barely any toppings. I paid extra to add smoked jalapeño and didn't taste any. These pizzas are all $20+ too. We ordered two cookies and a brownie too. All the baked goods were wrapped in saran wrap which made me feel like pastries weren't fresh. We were right. Pastries tasted days old and the brownie had a thick layer of frosting with barely any brownie. Thought I ordered a Dulce de leche brownie. This was not even close and cost nearly $6. Overall this place felt like a rip off.

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Food: - Sicilian: THIS was the winner of the evening! The sauce, mozz, ricotta, and pesto all came together to make a really tasty bite. I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. So well balanced in textures and flavors, and the crust was both nicely crispy on the edges and fluffy in the center! - Spicy Pep: Solid pizza, and we LOVE when pizza places use cuppy pepperoni. It was a bit spicier than expected, so be prepared to *actually* taste the heat when you order this one! Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. And, as native New Yorkers, we know our pizza! Strongly recommended! Can't wait to get another Sicilian pie in the near future with some toppings.

I finally went back and tried one of their vegan pastas I hadn't tried before, and there was meat in it (pancetta). The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
