Over the past few years this has become one of our fav spots in the International District in Seattle. Either we're on our way to a Sounders match or grabbing a bite after Wing Luke museums Chinese New Year ceremony we always find a table ready for us quickly with food arriving as fast as we can place the order on the restaurants app. Service is fast and focused on getting you your food. When you're ready to leave you can pay through the app and they are notified and you can ask for take out containers for any leftovers. I know we should explore the menu more but by the time we've ordered the green onion pancakes, the pot stickers, the soup dumplings, and finally (our favorite found in "cold dishes" Cucumber Silk) we have to call it because it's just too much food. Highly recommend this awesome small business for its quality and flavors!

Okay- this is perhaps my first review where the rating gets really docked because of service. The dumplings here are fantastic, but the auntie running the place is perpetually pissed. There is only one person (just her) running the place, and it's clear she's overworked. I feel bad for her, but it's also obvious she doesn't want to deal with customers. With that being said the food is phenomenal. Got the xiaolongbao, jiao zi (pan fried), steamed dumplings, and sheng jian bao (pan fried buns). Everything was delicious, especially with the ginger, garlic, and chili oil. Would recommend getting takeout!!

Pork chow mein with veggies. Perfect.

Great food. You know how sometimes you eat Chinese and feel tired or dehydrated or just out of sorts afterwards? This did not happen here. I got the pork chow mein and it was delish. Ate lunch twice on one order! Added hot chili oil of course. Everything is fresh, veggies were not too many and were very interesting, crunchy. Price was good for this area. Thank you Pings, I'll be coming back! Rock hard and party harder my fellow Yelpians. Leave a fat tip. Peace love and communism for all

Got some pretty good dumplings from this place in the International District. It sure has a lot of places to get this delicacy around here. Ping's Dumpling House is one of the most authentic of all these. Order at the counter and get a few that are freshly made. The prices are pretty good for portions. Check out all the dumplings they have. It's certainly got a lot. There's many for meat eaters and vegetarians. Before going know they make these fresh. That means they're pretty much made to order, so it can be a little of a wait. It's about $14 to get an order. There's about a dozen or so dumplings in these. Enough for a couple people to share a steam box. We got the Napa Cabbage, Tofu, And Black Mushroom Dumplings, which were plump and steaming. Good flavor even before using the oils. The dumplings were pretty tender. Has the best dumplings in the area. It's located on King Street close to the International District rail station. There's a few of these for vegans and vegetarians.

Looking for something warm and comfortable food, this place wasn't that busy for a Thursday night but all the food was really yummy. I wasn't a fan on the beef noodle soup, it was packed with lots of noodles and beef was a little salty. The dumplings were good. The pan fried bok choy was delicious! Good for comfort food! The restaurant is in need of an uplift to bring more customers and bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. Overall experience is good. The owner Ping is super friendly and very professional.

If you're looking for a family owned mom and pop dumpling restaurant, come here! I'll admit I'm usually the one to hit up Dough Zone, but I was very happy with our meal here. It's in a convenient spot within international district and much cleaner/modern than most other Chinese restaurants lol. We ordered pretty much every staple dish and shared family style! The soup dumplings and potstickers definitely stood out. We were served by the friendly woman seen in other review photos. She was more than accommodating and friendly.

Lamb xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), lu bao, pork and cabbage bun. The latter were luxuriously gigantic with a lovely yeasty flavour.

Generous portions for cozy, home-style dumplings. If you don't want to wait in line forever at Dough Zone or pay exorbitant Dough Zone prices, head here! Also a great option if seafood isn't your favourite. There are super delicious lamb dumplings, which is a rare treat when so many restaurants skew to Southern Chinese cuisines. Pretty slow at lunch on a weekday, so food came very quickly and the atmosphere was nice.

Came in before a game at Lumen, was expecting great dumplings. Over $50 for 2 orders of overcooked dumplings, and chicken chow mein. Bottoms were falling off and the meat looked undercooked. Only one lady working, and we were the only two people in the restaurant. Disappointed is such an understatement. Go anywhere else.

Dumplings were great! Ambience was very nice and bathrooms are surprisingly clean! We ordered the shrimp noodle, green onion pancake, and the chicken dumplings! Compliments to the owner and chef!

This is the old and salty tasting shrimp and pork XBL. I had eaten 2 and had to give up. $14.99 down the drain.
    Sharlene W.

I gave this place multiple triesnto redeem itself but to no avail. $14.99 for the soup dumplings is a food crime. I had the shrimp and pork XLB's and the top part was hard, while the bottom part of the dumplings fell apart. The Green Onion Pancakes $4.99 were fried in dirty oil as there were black specks on the pancake when I bit into it. The service was decent but, both items came out luke warm. How does an order of streamed dumplings not come out hot? If you are named Ping's Dumplings, why would you even serve this to your customers? I should have taken the hint as I was the only person in the restaurant as an Indication that the food was not good. After I took the pictures, i left my barely eaten food on the table. Just go to Dough Zone where the XLB's are constantly hot and the food is not cooked in dirty oil.

Popular spots in the International District often have lines which has me or The Homie a wandering to nearby spots to kill time and explore. Ping's Dumpling House was one of those spots. What was learned based on a takeout order back on 5/31/21 was that they do tasty "meat on a stick" and a pretty decent milk tea. I was able to snag a few bites from The Homie's order. Meat was flavorful, tender, and pretty generous on all the skewers ordered. Milk tea was refreshing, I just prefer other ID locations a bit more. I do have a note to self to return and explore the menu further.

Thanks Strictly Dumpling/Mikey Chen for recommending this place on YouTube! Came in around 7pm and we were quickly seated, offered tea and utensils - yay Beef XLB - very fresh (owner recommended these cause they said they were just made and they were right!) and flavorful, wasn't too much soup but no biggie Pork and Chive Lu Baos - good filling and also flavorful Would recommend checking out if you're wanting dumplings-- be sure to be patient cause there were only 2 staff members working including the owner

The owner wasn't friendly. The chili oil container was 1/3 full and went back in and asked for another one. She wasn't happy and told me that the sauce was "a very cheap chili". Which I took as, go buy some. I was visiting Seattle and If I had an option, I'd dine in, but COVID-19. Dumplings didn't really hold up in the to-go container, especially the Xi along Bao (soup dumplings). It was busy, I understand, would try it again to support local.

It was our first time having it with the peanut sauce versus the xo sauce and it was definitely different. The coconut sago drink was definitely refreshing but also a lot. Service is quick and straightforward. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. The steamed bok choy was a nice refreshing touch. Our favorite bite was the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot mixed with the delicious sauce. There's so many menu items that caught our eye and we'd love to come back and try it all! Hearty, delicious no-frills meals.
