This Thai spot is a hidden gem! Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. We started with the Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp and chicken--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Then we tried the Crab Cracker, which was surprisingly light but packed with flavor. My absolute favorite was the Khao Soi with fried chicken. Wow. It had the perfect amount of spice, the broth was rich and comforting, and I was already thinking about the next time I'd order it before I even finished my bowl. I also ordered the Chicken Satay for my 5-year-old daughter, and she completely cleaned her plate! If you have picky kids, that's saying something. The service made the experience even better. The young woman who greeted us welcomed us with the biggest smile and even waved when we walked in, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Delicious food, generous portions, and wonderful service. We'll definitely be back!

Food: We ordered the Khao Soi Beef Short Rib and the Khao Soi Seafood Curry Udon, both arrived with stunning, very Instagram worthy presentation that immediately stood out. The bowls were generous and hearty, filled with tender chunks of meat, lots of seafood, and a good amount of noodles that made them feel indulgent and comforting. Between bites and conversation, the flavors leaned deeply savory and rich, though for my personal taste they ran a little on the salty side. Still, the quality and care in the dishes came through, and I imagine they'd be even more enjoyable with lighter seasoning and a slightly calmer pace to fully take everything in. Price: Pink Pepper falls into a fairly standard Hollywood pricing range for Thai comfort food. The Khao Soi Beef Short Rib is around $18.50, while the seafood noodle dishes typically hover in the $19-22 range, depending on the protein and preparation. Expect about $20-30 per person before drinks, which feels reasonable given the generous portions and quality of ingredients. Ambiance: We sat outside on the balcony, as one of the party had a very small dog along with them. I can't speak to the inside dining room, but the outdoor seating was actually quite pleasant, spacious, comfortable, and temperature‑wise just right. It's positioned right next to the road, so there's street noise, but it didn't feel overwhelming and worked well for a longer meal. Service: Service was good and kind, though a bit slow. It appeared that only one person was handling most of the front‑of‑house duties, so there were some mild noticeable gaps between check‑ins, ordering, and food arrival. That said, nothing felt rude or dismissive, just understandably stretched thin. Overall, patient and friendly service. Parking: Parking was unfortunately the most frustrating part of the visit. We parked in the structure behind the restaurant, assuming it would be free or at least validated. Even after confirming validation with our server, we still ended up paying around $16 for parking after staying roughly 2-2.5 hours. A heads‑up here would've helped, as it was an unwelcome surprise at the end.

Bombastic feast! Was drawn here by the short rib khao soi and it over delivered. A hefty portion of well cooked flavorful short rib coupled with rich and buttery coconut broth. Pad kra pao gai and soft shell crab pad Thai were spectacular too! Really enjoy the addition of higher end ingredients in these everyday dishes and yet reasonably priced. Friendly service in an intimate setting. We need more restaurant operators like this.

little eatery tucked next to adjacent parking structure. Dong pull a ticket at this structure instead know your license plate number you'll get 2 hr free parking! Onto the food! First the soup it was souping! Star dish because unique flavor we tasted butter lotsa chicken . Server said no butter! Tofu pad thai was delicious lotsa little tofu chunks. Chicken curry looked like small portion however after we broke down the potatoes and carrot and chicken chunks it turned into a very good portion. I would go back and just order these two entrees AGAIN! The eggplant was ok but too salty, the chicken basil needed more basil . I ordered a lunch special the crispy salmon it was small chunks in a glass dish drizzled with mayo. Not much salmon flesh. Side of dipping sauce and two steamed dumplings on bed of shredded cabbage and white rice. I want to try other lunch special options because for the price it's a good deal. Oh was our friends birthday and was surprised with a free treat we all shared ....fried bananas with scoop of green matcha ice cream....ohhhh this was a nice treat! Thank you Pink Pepper i recommend can't wait to go again and introduce more friends to this cozy place! There's a front covered patio. Small dining room with cute decor. Bathroom had a funky smell so if sensitive be worn!

I know I just found my new favorite Thai restaurant. The Khao Sou Beef is absolutely outstanding, cooked to perfection, flavorful, and unforgettable! Love the papaya salad, ordered it mild no chili. First time here, we only ordered two items just to see if we liked it and we absolutely loved it! Kudos to Natalie, who not only took our order, delivered our food, clean tables to a full restaurant, we never felt neglected! Customer service, outstanding!!! parking garage located in the back, restaurant will validate for two hours. We will definitely be back, see you soon Natalie!

During Happy Hour, they have amazing prices on appetizers and drinks! Highly recommended for a great deal right off Hollywood Boulevard. It's a great place to head to before a movie screening at TCL Chinese Theater like we do! It's right around the corner and I wish more tourists would get off the chains on the main strip and scurry over here. Their crab wontons are fantastic! Nicely crisped by the deep frying and plump, full of cream cheese and real dungeness crab. Would get again for sure. After reading reviews, I found a common theme that the Khao Soi here is highly regarded - some even calling it the best in LA! I concur it is delicious with several protein options~ I enjoyed the crispy chicken in mine. Great portion size, very spicy, and very delicious. This Northern Thailand dish is done well here. Service is always quite friendly! Plus they have a cute little outdoor patio that transports you out of Hollywood and into a garden oasis. However even if seated indoors, it's colorful and fun! Just a great place to grab a bite in the tourist area of Hollywood!

Thai food is here and there so what's the big deal about this one? I dunno, try the Khao soi beef short rib and find out why. It's creamy, it's flavorful, it's got a giant short rib bone in that slides right off. Is that enough for you? No? The portions are generous too so you'll be nice and full. Slide the meat off, mix everything together for a hearty meal full of protein and noodles and what not. Feeling seafood? Then try the Khao soi seafood curry udon instead. My wife got that and barely got to share any with me. That's how good it was. Hefty amounts of shrimp and mussels with udon. Way creamy and delicious too, at least from what little pieces I got to steal from her. So all in all, this was a banger of a restaurant that's a little lowkey but definitely worth trying. Parking kinda sucks but there's a parking structure out back they'll validate for as long as you don't exceed 90 minutes.

I am just checking in will update my review later but ambiance,service and waiting patiently to try the food I saw on a reels *Update* I was super excited to do this update thanks to the California Bucket lists reels that enabled me to come back and try new dishes I never had ordered before at Pink Pepper. My favorite dishes will have to be the Shrimp Tom Ka soup get a pot and a side of rice because your going to enjoy the pot rather than the small soup trust me on this delicious! I also really enjoyed the Chicken Pad Ka the server recommended since I came in showing her all the items I wanted to try on the reels. She was really sweet and helpful and her recommendation was perfect since I did not want Pork that night either way these two dishes were my favorite. I was really full by the time I got to tasting the short rib, but I still had a bite and the meat fell off the bone and noodles were crunchy and that gave it such a great textural taste. Lastly, the Banana dessert I'm biased about because I'm big on anything banana related so I loved the crunch and softness inside the dessert. Reminded me much of Turon which I love just with an addition of ice cream that made it a whole lot better! Overall loved my whole experience I cannot wait to come back for the soup on cold winter days that soup will be much needed.

Tried this place for the first time and it definitely made it into our Thai rotation! Everything is delicious, portions are good sized, and they are so lovely and friendly. The garlic noodle appetizer was one of the best things we had. Everything is well sauced and not dry at all compared to other Thai takeout. Also got a lychee martini and Thai tea and they were fantastic. Inside is very colorful and decorated. It is a nice change from a lot of modern restaurants that lack decor. If you like Thai, I highly recommend pink pepper!

Parking has changed. The restaurant will only validate for 90 minutes after that time you will be charged the FULL daily rate of 15.99. Make sure you know you license plate number because they need it for validation. It was a little loud in restaurant during this visit between the people and the constant moving of tables. The food was good but I can tell that portion sizes have been scaled back. The service is still great.

Been here many times because it's right next to the church I go to but always in a rush because they close from 3pm to 5pm so I haven't had a chance to review until today. It's a fairly big restaurant so it accommodates our church group and there's outdoor seating as well (enclosed) I was in the area and my wife wanted some Thai food so here we are. We usually park on the street when we plan on eating here. There's free street parking next street over: Hollywood/Formosa Ave. Otherwise you can park in the garage next door: lunch: $40 or more you get 1 hr validation, $50 or more get free validation per one purchase and dinner: $50 or more get free parking validation per one purchase. The pastor of our church knows the owners, young hard working couple. I love it when the husband's here because his fried rice is out of this world. We've also tried "Kaan Tok" Thai platter (totally worth it for bigger groups, chicken yellow curry (creamy and delicious), seafood salad - spicy and delicious, pad thai and soy sauce noodles - classic goodies but the icing on the cake is their Khao Soi Nue - the pastor and his wife goes to Thailand a lot for mission trips as they have ministry over there and they both agree this dish is legit and the best they've had here in the states hands down. I love how tender the beef is. We'll be back again soon (after church service). Radiance International next door - Sunday service starts 11:15am and they validate for the service 10:30 to 2pm :) read more

Absolutely amazing Thai food. The flavors were rich, bold, and perfectly balanced -- especially the curry, which was creamy, fragrant, and deeply comforting. The noodles had great texture and were packed with flavor, and the grilled meat was tender and beautifully charred. Fresh herbs, lime, and crunchy toppings tied everything together. Pretty good, pretty good! Came in with my coworkers since we just moved into an office near by. They have a great, simple lunch special menu. I ordered the Garlic Lovers Chicken because a similar dish is my favorite at another resturant. It was really good, very flavorful and tasty here! Service was great as well, the staff was really nice and checked on us often. We all said we'd come back. The boys ordered the chicken curry, they said it was good as well. Pink Pepper is my new favorite Thai restaurant! From the comfortable outdoor patio to the friendly staff to the stellar food, I have no complaints. I came here with my fiance on a Sunday morning, and we both ordered the Khao Soi with the giant short rib. It was absolutely divine. Probably the best khao Soi I've ever had! My first bite was HEAVENLY!! The broth was creamy, hint of spice, and a deep rich flavor from the rib. It had much more depth in its flavor than other broths I've had. My only wish is that there was more!! The rib was so soft and tender, and it's so big that they give you a serrated meat cutting knife for it! The fried noodles were ample, and tasted great whether you had it crispy or slightly soaked in the broth. And the normal noodles were so satisfying too! I'm not usually a thin noodle person, but these noodles soaked up all the flavor and soup from the broth, and was bursting with juiciness and flavor. Such a hearty dish! We had mango sticky rice for dessert and boy it was the perfect ending! The rice came out very hot actually, which paired perfectly with the cool mango. Plus, it seemed like there was a hint of saltiness in the sticky rice, making it all the more flavorful with the rest of the sweet profile. Finished off with a lovely Thai iced coffee! So refreshing! The flavor was sweet and strong. Couldn't have asked for a better Sunday afternoon lunch! There's $15 parking in the back but you can ask the staff for validation! :) Staff is incredibly nice and always makes for a lovelier dining experience! read more

TL:DR - BEST khao soi in LA! Located in the heart of Hollywood, Pink Pepper is a hip looking Thai restaurant. This is our first time here, and we came specifically for their Khao Soi. Just from the photos, you can tell this isn't like other khao soi. That thick cut of beef in the middle and dark orange colored curry soup were so enticing we had to have some. Sitting outside on their patio, the khao soi was brought before us so reverantly. Beautifully plated and the smell of spices already hitting my nose before my first bite. If you've never had khao soi before, it's a coconut curry based noodle soup. Unlike other coconut Thai curries, that lean more on the sweet side, khao soi leans into the curry chili side. The first bite was mind blowing. The perfect balance between sweet, savory, and beefy! My tongue was ablaze with excitement. The flavors just dancing around with each other giving me hints of one before the other took the lead. This perfect synchronicity of flavors continued for the rest of the meal. The beef leg was tender and juicy with a little bit of char on the outside. It's flavor just infusing everything with its umami beefiness! The noodles were soft but not too soft, that right amount of chewiness without feeling like mush. Despite being full, we finished off the meal with mango sticky rice! I loved it. Unlike other mango sticky rice that feel overly sweet, the mango was the sweetest part and the rice was slightly salty. They paired so well together that I wanted to oder a second serving. Overall Pink Pepper is totally worth braving the Hollwood traffic for. In a city full of great Thai food, this is the best khao soi I have ever had! read more

So impressed. 10 of us came for a bday dinner after Spa Palace. The drinks were delicious. We had the mango sticky high and Thai tini. Not heavy alcohol so perfect. The Khao Soi with moo tod and beef short rib were delicious. We had multiple appetizers from the happy hour menu. The Pad Krapow and pad Thai with soft shell crab were also delicious. We love this spot! Can't believe I have never noticed it. It's easy to drive right by. I love how the decorated with flowers everywhere. The service was very good. Not intrusive. The servers would smile and were pleasant. The food was delicious! The pad Thai was a little on the sweet side - different but delicious. The pad see ew beef was tasty. Chicken curry was so yummy, but our favorite was the $5 menu garlic noodles and crispy won tons. If you check in with Yelp you get a free Thai coffee or iced tea. Wow SO GOOD!!!! Probably one of the best Thai food I've ever had. Great prices, great ambiance, great service, just all around an amazing experience!! Me and my friends had a long day at the beach and wanted some comfort food. My boyfriend had been here before with his friends and brought me home some left overs and I KNEW we had to go here with our friends. We arrived and were sat right away. The waitress was so kind and attentive to our group of 8. Waters were never empty. The space has such cute decorations and was aesthetically pleasing. Definitely cute for a little celebration as well since you can take cute pics here. The food was phenomenal! Great portions and flavors were insane. We ordered 2 chicken pad thai, 2 beef pad si eiw, 1 chicken curry, 1 pineapple fried rice, 3 khao soi beef short rib, and the Tom yum gai chicken soup. Let me just say, I have no words. Every single dish was an explosion of flavors. They were all so good in their own ways. I think the stars of the show were definitely the beef short rib and pad thai for me. We walked down the street to Pink Pepper and had a really good meal. I would try to get there for their happy hour, it is a great deal! We were sat right away, water and menus were brought within a minute or two. Even though we were slow to order, we never felt rushed. The staff are very friendly and made the meal that much better with wonderful personalities and service. The restaurant is well decorated and comfortable. You can tell it has been around for a while. And the pictures of some of the dishes outside the patio are a nice touch. It is actually what got us to eat here while we were strolling by. First off, we got the Cream Cheese and Crab Rangoon. They were very good. Not oily at all and have a nice crab flavor. Some of the better ones I have had. We also got the Garlic Noodles. Yum! They have great flavor and texture with cabbage and lots of garlic. Then came the Pad Krapow with fried egg. These are very flavorful, with a little spice, but not overbearing. The short rib (fall off the bone) curry was amazing! The sauce was perfect- not too sweet & not too spicy. I loved the soft shell crab Pad Thai! I The noodles had the perfect texture & Al dente bite. You can tell by the color they used good tamarind sauce & it was perfectly caramelized with palm sugar. Soo yummy! I want to go back for it. The best Thai tea in town. Owners said they used 3 different types of tea. It wasn't too milky & not overly sweet like others I've tasted. Just perfect & can taste the quality of tea. Can't wait to go back & eat here. I went here for my birthday and missed the Khao Soi so much , that I ordered some last night. Delivery wasn't too long , and understandable since they're busy. The meat kind of tastes different from sitting in and dining there but that still didn't take an away from the taste . I'll order takeout again for sure. The food was soooo delicious! We ordered the Short Rib beef curry noodles...that was so delicious, smoky and fall off the bone yumminess. The curry was rich and complex, would order this again! The Crispy shrimp appetizer was like nothing I have ever had before, crispy, piping hot and sooo good. I can't even describe the flavor other than just order it and try for yourself. The Pad Thai was just ok...but the Thai Ice tea was creamy and not too sweet. Oh, parking is behind and they do validate...but just tip them extra, cos you know they have to pay for that too I'm sure...and it's tough running a restaurant these days. :) Amazing, friendly service too! This was my first time ordering from Pink Pepper and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the roti and curry appetizer and I enjoyed the spicy kick from the curry. The Tom Kha soup was very yummy! Lastly I ordered the Khao soi which was my absolute favorite and the beef was so tender and the dish was full of flavor. We ordered take out and I was surprised how well everything traveled! One of My Favorite Thai Spots in LA This restaurant is easily one of my go-to places for Thai food in LA. The flavors are authentic, and most dishes are executed really well. Crab Rangoon: Made with fresh crab meat--so good. Chicken Curry: A standout dish--rich, homey, and absolutely delicious. Pad Thai: Great flavor, but the noodles were a bit too al dente for my taste. Thai Tea: Tasty and authentic, just the way it should be. Coconut Ice Cream & Fried Banana: A perfect sweet ending--crispy, creamy, and delicious. Everything we ordered was really enjoyable. Each dish had its own flavor and was well prepared, and there honestly wasn't anything we didn't like. Super yum! We ordered the khao soi, pad thai, and moo tod and it was so flavorful and delicious! We went at 2 pm on a Friday and there was plenty of seating. The interior is adorable and ambient, it a great one on one restaurant. There's a parking garage behind the restaurant, but parking is only validated for 90 minutes during dinner time. read more

tried this thai spot in hollywood recently and i'm still thinking about the tom kha... it was so flavorful and rich without being too heavy. the khao soi was also a standout, perfectly balanced and comforting with just the right amount of spice. the restaurant itself is super cute inside there were flower decorations and it was super stylish, perfect for a casual dinner or date night. definitely coming back to try more from the menu. read more

Very good Thai place. I took my brother in law who was visiting and my first time having pad Thai! It was a decent price, off the blvd and great fast service for two pad Thais it was like $30. Me and my family drove to this establishment and they were closed for lunch at 3:00 PM and reopened at 5:00 PM. This is something that they really need to reconsider because it was several customers that walked in ready for service and I guy appeared saying we're closed. And the parking is horrible. So, we had to figure out another restaurant to go to have a meal. Ambiance was dark and closed in. Improve your hours. read more

I'm disappointed as I really wanted my family to be blown away by the food and it didn't happen. Maybe the kitchen was having an off day. There's a small crowded valet parking lot right out front. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.

I recently moved to a new location in Hollywood, which is conveniently located close to this death trap. I tried it for obvious reasons, but really couldn't tell you what kind of demon possessed me to try it yet a 2nd time. Here's the run down of the tortures this over priced "restaurant" had in store for me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend ordered the Tom Yum Vegetable soup. Not only were the vegetables a cheap selection or mere carrots and cauliflower, not to mention scarce, it tasted as if they were trying to poison her by dumping a whole bottle of Lemon Lysol into the mix, maybe two bottles, hard to tell. Their website was not working properly so I could not see the full menu (we ordered for pick up) so I asked if they has a sea food curry, they said they could whip one up for me and make it extra hot (which I requested). What I received was a fairly decent tasting curry sauce, which was not hot in the slightest, and full of slimy, damn near impossible to chew little sea creatures. I guess this is my bad for not knowing what I was getting myself into, but when I say seafood, I expect shrimp, maybe some scallops and maybe a clam or so, which is normally how your general seafood dish comes. I had so many impossible to eat things in there, most of which I didn't even know what they were. There were over half a dozen almost completely intact octopus things, and no, I am not talking calamari, real deal, suckers and everything, the size of which was a little smaller then the palm of my hand. There was also some weird meat lump, which tasted terrible, and I honest to God couldn't even get my teeth to puncture it all the way, it was that rough. Plus some other weird items. Ok, the second time was the real kicker. I really wanted some nice fish, so I figured of I could get them to mix that same decent curry sauce with a nice salmon, we would have a winner. I requested, and they whipped it up special for me. The Curry sauce was NOT even close to the sauce of before, it even had the same Lysol taste of my girlfriends soup, it was horrific. Now on to the fish, it was a rather big cut a salmon, but tasted smiley and weird, I was having a hard time telling why it tasted for unusual, then I figured it out. As I ventured deeper into the cut of fish, and deeper into unhappiness, it hit me. This fish Is not even fully cooked! Pink as hell on the inside, horrible tasting, smelly, slimy, wow. And this meal for one was $17. Needless to say, it's over priced, and I will NEVER go there again. And I hope you don't even. End of Transmission. read more

Firstly, I can say I am a pretty experienced aficionado of Thai and all Asian food ,for that matter, and have tried many Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. For me, Pink Pepper sets the standard for delicious Thai tasting food. I have been eating here for almost 7 years, and we love to do their take out. As far as dining in, the restaurant is not as nice as say Chan Dara or Jitlada, but I am talking about straight up food taste. We love their Tom Yum soup with shrimp, and you can get it with a coconut base instead of the lemon grass clear broth (called Tom Kha). The taste is delicious, fresh tasting, not too spicy, and just the way Tom Kha should be made. They have other delicious starters and salads such as spicy shrimp salad and chicken larb, but just about anything is delicious. For the main dishes, any main dishes can be ordered with shrimp, calamari, chicken, beef, pork, scallop, and even vegan style and you have your choice of approx. 10 styles of sauces and veggies mixed in. For example, we enjoy the chili and mint leaves with calamari is delicious, the garlic lovers with chicken dish, and the spicy spinach with chicken is very nice. I wouldn't do the sweet and sour, as this is more of a chinese dish. The Pad Thai is my favorite in Los Angels, and is a nice simple balance of noodles with meat of your choice, ground peanuts, egg, green onion, and lightly seasoned. Spicy Noodles are also a hit. The Panang curry is a slightly sweet curry with green peas and just delicious, but is a bit creamy which is what all panangs are like. For dessert, the coconut ice cream is tasty, but obviously, Thai places are not known for their dessert selection. Pink Pepper is always consistent on quality, and truly delivers. I have introduced this place to many friends and family, such as having take out, and they have all gone back. Try this little gem for delicious Thai food, at reasonable prices, and modest (not large) portions. read more

Tried Pink Pepper in Hollywood recently, and I was pleasantly surprised! This cozy little Thai spot has a great vibe and a pretty extensive menu. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and craving Thai food! We started with the Chicken Pad Ka Prow, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. Bold, spicy, and full of flavor, exactly what we were hoping for. The seasoning was spot on, and the portion was generous. Would definitely order this again! Next up was the Spicy Noodles (Drunken Noodles), which were just okay. Not very spicy and a bit lacking in depth of flavor compared to the rest of the meal. Probably wouldn't order this one again, especially with so many other tempting dishes on the menu. The Beef Short Rib Khao Soi was the star of the show and worth the visit on its own. The short rib was insanely tender, falling off the bone with the lightest touch. The meat literally melted in your mouth. The curry broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being too spicy. The noodles were decent, but it was really all about that luxurious broth and the beautifully presented short rib. 10/10 would order again! For dessert, we tried the Mango Sticky Rice, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing. The mango was fresh and ripe, and the sticky rice had the perfect texture. Highly recommend if you like a light but satisfying dessert. The decor here is simple, elegant, and very reminiscent of Thailand, think modern but warm and inviting. The space feels comfortable and authentic without being overdone. Another major plus: they have a public parking garage directly behind the restaurant, and they validate for 90 minutes for dine-in customers, a huge win in Hollywood where parking can be a pain. Overall, this is a great spot for a casual dinner with high-quality Thai food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu! read more

Let's start with we were told after being screwed over "NO MANAGER ON DUTY"?!! If you have business and you're ordering for your staff BEWARE! These people do not care if they screw up your order or entire meal. They shorted us on our order, while half the food got cold they insisted we wait for the rest of order and pay more, then refused to give a refund on the food we were not going to eat. We asked to speak to a manager and they told us one was not on duty! First a waitress who spoke little English advised us that she was the only person to tal too then rudely hung up stating she had "a table she needed to get too". Next call landed us with the person who claimed to be the delivery driver. He also could barely communicate. Back to the horrid experience... The food was already cold let alone wait for more to make it a full meal and when we asked to get it refunded they refused! THEY RIPPED US OFF! My whole staffed starved while I re-ordered from another (and better) Thai restaurant and paid once again for a new meal... but at least they got a hot plate from somewhere else! Once again: DELIVERED WRONG ORDER REFUSED TO HANDLE THE SITUATION REFUSED RETURN OF FOOD FOR REFUND TOLD NO MANAGER ONSITE COLD FOOD BAD SERVICE RUDE STAFF BARELY ENGLISH SPEAKING The list goes on but BEWARE, this restaurant can RUIN your meal plans and will not care they did. STAY AWAY. ABUSIVE HARASSMENT CALLS PLACED BY PINK PEPPER TO MY MOBILE NUMBER!!! I signed up with yelp especially to warn everyone about this place. It used to be great and it HAS changed, I agree with others below. I placed a lunch order online, for pick up today. I walked there, with my friend, and the order hadn't even been processed. We cancelled, before any orders were received and cooked, to avoid waiting another 45 minutes. I received a phone call from them an hour and a half later, from a female member of staff. I explained we had cancelled in person, since there was an error and our order never got received. She apologized and thanked me. THEN, a male member of staff (Manager??) called me back and abused me, saying it was "not fair" that I had cancelled. He repeated this over and over and refused to hear my explanation that the order did not go through and that we had intercepted it in person. In the end, I hung up, because I was fuming. If that return call was not outrageous enough, he called me back AGAIN and left a voicemail. It said "e - dawg, e- dawg, e-dawg". This translates to bitch / whore. Lovely customer service. Oh, did I say customer service? Sorry, I meant lovely harassment / abuse. Which, by the way, is illegal. read more

EXPIRED FOOD DO NOT COME HERE! Been here 3 times, and each times gets worst and worst. My friend who was visiting wanted to try this place out. Looks like all the servers changed from the last time I was here. This place is always empty, no wonder, red flag. Server took 20 minutes to get our order when no one else was in the restaurant. WTH. Food took 40min to serve. We order 4 plates, all which all the meat was stale, old, and disgusting. It seem they marinate their old meat in sauces to prevent the customers from knowing. We ordered lamb, and got beef instead. I eat lamb all the time, and know the whether its lamb or not. They charge us for the lamb plate, and substitute the lamb meat with beef, WTH! Experience 2: TOMBOY SERVER IS A B****! there's a server here, who looks like a tomboy, she has her hair in a pony tail, and seems to hate her job, including the customers she serves. she has a horrible attitude i came here with my friend, we were the only people in the restaurant, and they ignore us as we waved them down. the food is very pricey and taste like it was made in a rush. Got the sweet and sour pork, along with their "awesome" spring roll appetizer to-go. Ordinarily You would expect boxed food to be at least a bit worst in quality, be it the food sogged up w/ sauce or over-steamed w/ condensation. The food, though eaten practically an hour later due to my getting lost trying to find 25degrees, was very tasty and of high quality. Both of these entrees were very fresh, of defining flavors in each ingredient, and delicious. Though these dishes were consumed in the safety of my hotel room, I couldn't help but notice the nice ambience of the restaurant. The neighborhood in which this medium sized restaurant is in is kinda cutty, and parking is impossible, however the atmosphere was.. in one word: beautiful. It used to be good but not any more. Food quality bad and service is horrible. 7 of us went for lunch. First she brought the wrong order from another table and got irritated. Then she went back and started bringing our orders. Brought 5 dishes and the other 2 took for ever. 2 of us had a very similar order. She gave my order to the other person. She brought me his order after a 15 min wait and it was the wrong order. When I said I had asked for tofu she yells at my colleague who was eating the same order with tofu. I got the Pad Thai, and it was hands down one of the best I've had--just the right amount of sweetness and so fresh. I would have loved to give this place a higher rating, but the delivery leaves much to be desired about the food. When you dine in the food is terrific! I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken and the Royal Shrimp is an absolute MUST! No kidding. The staff is friendly and the seating is usually ample, the also have a nice outside patio that faces La Brea just south of Hollywood, great for staring at all the wierdos walking by. I've never actually eaten inside the restaurant, but if the decor is as good as everything I've tried from the menu - then it must be pretty awesome. We order deliver at least 2 - 4 times a month and each time, we are impressed. Aside from having to kind of scrunch your face and try really hard to make out the words on the other other end of the phone - nothing bad to say. It's probably the fact that I can't understand a word the person on the other end is saying that the food is so good. Thai cuisine is one of my favorite food. The layers of flavor and complexity it has is simply amazing. I really loved the dishes that were served to us but one dish came by which we didn't order. The waiter was not entirely apologetic about the whole event and just removed the dish in front of us. I understand that people make mistakes but a simple polite sorry with an explanation will also be appreciated. Ignoring the persons in the table as if we were invisible is just a little foul. I'd passed this place several times without going in -- I assumed it was another tourist trap off Hollywood Blvd. Boy was I wrong! The very door themselves let you know this place is authentic (they're carved with traditional Thai art). I had the spicy steak salad, Tom yum shrimp soup, and crispy shrimp app. Each was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Could eat that meal every day. Also, our servers were attentive and kind.
