This cafe is the real deal. Tons of choices when it comes to Piroshky. Served piping hot in the morning, straight from the oven. Cooked to perfection. I had the ham and cheese this morning and it was absolute perfection. The cup of black drip coffee I had (they serve Cafe Vita) was quite literally the best cup of drip I've ever had. Delicious.

Soooooooo good! Talk about tasty tasty treats. Staff is so friendly and a very chill place to wait out the rain or just hang out while you eat. They were playing the "Wicked musical" sound track and I knew I was home. Check this place out.

The piroshky here is ELITE. This is a small business shop, not to be confused with the larger Piroshky Piroshky chain. I got a beef cheese and mushroom and it was incredible. The bread was warm and toasty, and was a perfect shell for the gooey filling inside. It was all hearty and filling for a quick breakfast. It's perfect for a grab and go snack, and they have a huge case of piroshky options!

I'm a big fan of the salmon piroshki from Piroshky Piroshky in Pike Place. If that's the standard, then I'd have to unfortunately rate the salmon piroshki here a 2/5. They grabbed one off the shelf, tossed it in the microwave, then quickly toasted it in the oven. Maybe I came at a bad time when things weren't fresh, but it was around 1pm. The end product was warm and soft on the outside, but cold on the inside. I was wondering why it was so cold, turns out the center is just a big block of cream cheese that's lightly enveloped in some salmon. Not the greatest ratio of cream cheese to salmon, I just kept getting big bites of cream cheese. The bread surrounding everything also wasn't great. It was soft, airy, and very bland. No crisp toasted exterior or sweetness. For $9, these are also smaller and more expensive then the ones at Piroshky Piroshky. Overall, a dissatisfying experience given the high reviews I see here.

Piroshki!! They look pretty good here so I decided to try a few myself. The Bavarian sausage one was just like a tasty humungo pig-in-a-blanket lol. The smoked salmon & cream cheese one had a tad too much cream cheese for my liking but I appreciated that there was a lot of salmon packed into the bread. Least favorite from the ones that I tried was the piroshki pizza one because there was way too much chopped pepperoni and the mushrooms seemed like they were from a can based on their slippery texture (not a fan of canned mushrooms). The bread for these piroshki was phenomenal. Thick and fluffy. The egg wash gave them such a pretty shine. This kind of bread would make stellar dinner rolls lol. Overall hit and miss with the piroshki fillings but the amazing bread makes me still recommend trying at least 1-2 piroshki here (perhaps there are some that I haven't tried that are much better).

I'm bummed I don't get to be in this area more often just so I can come to Piroshki on Madison. It's a cute, little shop off Madison in Seattle. There's limited seating & no parking at the facility. You would have to park across the street. They have plenty of flavor options from savory to sweet pastries. I ordered the potato, broccoli & cheese piroshki. My fiancé ordered the smoked salmon & cream cheese (fish shaped) & the rice, chicken & mushroom piroshkis. All three of them were delicious! The well-seasoned & garlicky flavor on the insides plus a soft, warm bread was a perfect combination. The service was quick since their pastries are ready to serve from the case. It'll be on my list of places to stop by when I'm in the area.

This is so authentic place! Reminded me my childhood food!!!! I was in the area at some medical building near by and decided to stop by. This time they had my favorite salmon & cream cheese! Absolutely delicious!!! I ask if napoleon was fresh and lady assured me it's very fresh and good they bake everything there daily!!! Dang, this cake was like in my childhood so fresh and yummy!!! This location is much better that we used to have on 3rd and also pike market ( they don't have lunch special or cakes) also that one always full of tourists. Last time I went there salmon piroshky had so little filling in it. This place on Madison it's much much better than pike place! I live on 2nd and pine and I am willing to go all the way uphill for this nice food!!! , !!!!

Strip of foil/metal found in filling

Been eating here for years. First time found a strip of aluminum in the filling of the piroshky. Probly stuck to blade as the chef finished cutting then got stirred into filling. Fortunately, i wasnt hungry enough to "inhale" my food and was able to sense it before swallowing. I'm sure it was a complete accident, but the chefs need to revise their process to I sure this doesn't happen again.

I love being able to reserve a Bubble outside with a group of friends for a Ladies Coffee date. It can get really busy, but it never ruins our experience. The cabbage rolls are delicious, the meatballs are fantastic, and their fresh-baked breads and pastries are some of my favorites in the area. That being said... I made the mistake of coming here on a Saturday afternoon. First, the parking lot. Wow. It took me probably 10-15 minutes just to find a parking spot. There simply isn't enough parking for the number of people that come here on weekends, so everyone is circling the lot waiting for someone to leave. Then, once you finally find a space, people don't leave enough room to get in or out because traffic is coming from every direction. If driving stresses you out, I'd honestly recommend visiting during the week instead. Monday through Friday around lunchtime has always been a much easier experience for me. Inside was just as busy. The deli counter had a huge line, and the store was packed with people. It was difficult to move around because shoppers were constantly walking in front of each other without much awareness of those around them. None of that is really the store's fault--it just speaks to how popular they are--but it definitely made for a stressful visit. The reason I stopped in this time was to finally try some of the desserts, and I'm so glad I did. The honey cake was absolutely incredible and easily my favorite. I'll definitely be buying that again. I also tried the Spartak cake, which was good, but the honey cake stole the show for me. I couldn't decide on one of the mousse cakes because they all looked amazing, so I asked the employee behind the counter to pick her favorite. She recommended the mango mousse cake, and she was right--it was delicious. The white chocolate shell gives way to a light, tangy mango mousse with actual pieces of mango inside. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The only downside is the price. The mousse cakes are roughly palm-sized and around $10 each. While they were very good, I finished mine in one sitting, whereas the honey cake and Spartak lasted me much longer and cost less. Overall, I absolutely recommend this market. The food, bakery, and hot deli are excellent, and I'll definitely keep coming back. My only advice is simple: avoid Saturday afternoons if you can. You'll probably enjoy the experience a whole lot more.

Piroshky Piroshky is a Seattle institution. Will the line be long during peak times in peak season?…read moreYes. Will they still get you through blazing fast? Absolutely! Pro tip to tourists: they have the menu posted on the windows AND the door, complete with pictures. You'll help the line situation if you get a general idea of what you want BEFORE you step up to the counter. As for what to get? A little bit of everything. The bakery itself has a classic, old-school feel with an impressive array of bakes on display. Two practical things stand out right away. First, there is no indoor seating, though luckily the surrounding market area offers plenty of places to sit. Second, the place gets incredibly busy, so waiting in a line just to get inside is pretty much guaranteed. The order consisted of two items: the savory potato piroshki and the sweet chocolate hazelnut piroshki. The prices were reasonable and not overly expensive. As for the taste, the bakes were decent, but the dough felt a little too dense overall. The bread itself carries very little flavor on its own, leaving all the heavy lifting to the fillings. Given the massive crowds and the constant hype, the actual flavor profile felt fairly average rather than extraordinary. That said, the overall experience is still pretty fun. A large glass window lets customers watch the bakers actively shaping and preparing dough, which is fascinating to observe. With the sheer volume of staff working non-stop and the constant line of people, the bakes are undoubtedly fresh. It is worth a visit for the atmosphere and the process, even if the food itself falls a bit closer to ordinary.
