Have been wanting to try this place -- ordered the pork shoulder, pulled pork sandwich and turkey breast combo ... all were very good! They have a good selection of sides as well ... we tried the potato salad with a mustardy taste, mac and cheese, which was very creamy, and the coleslaw, which was okay. They have a barbecue sauce was good, with just enough spice. They have a space inside the Food Hall with plenty of seating inside and in the beer garden outside. Will definitely be back.

Really good barbecue!! Barbecue is in a food hall. Our platter came with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs (they were sold out of sausage and turkey) so we were told they would add more portions to meats served and got 4 sides two baked beans and two mac and cheese. Brisket and pulled pork were very good. Didn't try the ribs but hubby said they were good! Mac and cheese was yummy and so were the beans needed a little more chorizo flavor. Service was quick.

The Brisket is King here and it so juicy and tender it melts in your mouth. The turkey is also to die for and is moist which to me is perfectly cooked. I love when they have their hot sausage special and fried chicken, both are to die for. The elotes, mac, and potato salad are all very tasty sides. The ambiance is relaxed inside Whittier Brewing Company. The staff is always very kind and friendly. 10/10.

Food: Brisket sandwich, fries, BBQ Beans I am always unsure of what to order at BBQ restaurants as everyone makes they sauces, seasonings, etc different. I played it safe and went with a brisket sandwich, which did not disappoint. The sandwich comes with some brioche type buns that are toasty, piled brisket (about ~8ish pieces), pickles, banana peppers and cheese. The brisket was good, not the best you'll ever have, but def good. I decided to eat the sandwich open faced which is a move that I recommend! The fries are super crispy and you get plenty of them to go alongside the sandwich (when ordering a sandwich, you have the option of fries or potato salad). The BBQ beans were okay, they needed to be hotter, temperature wise, but they were nothing special. Restaurant: This BBQ spot is located inside a building that also houses a small brewery, a pizza spot and a few other small bites restaurants. There is communal seating in the middle via lunch tables. It does get packed during dinner hours. Notes: The sandwich + side of beans was like $25+

Food tastes good. A little pricier and was going to go back today to get some. But I caught the cashier lady with dark long hair coughing and trying to conceal it into the collar of her shirt without washing her hands. Then proceeds to get the trays for food with parchment paper and licking her fingers to grab the paper from the stack and place it. Completely unsanitary with a sink literally 5 feet away. no gloves, no handwashing. If roles were reversed I'm sure she wouldn't want someone doing that to food she is going to eat!

One word... obsessed! I ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, 1/2 lb of pork shoulder, and 1/2 lb pork spare ribs along with a side of potato salad and cheddar Mac. They also include bread and the most delicious pickles I've ever had. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The cheddar mac is really good and the potato salad is also good. Service is excellent. There was a snag with my online order. The owner apologized and I showed him my receipt and he was able to put my order together. I didn't mind waiting as this place is located inside Whittier brewing co (the Nixon plaza/ building). Plenty of seating and options to grab a glass of beer or wine. Located in uptown Whittier in the building directly across Starbucks. There is plenty of parking, but some spots have meters. Make sure to have change handy so you don't risk getting a ticket. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out especially if you miss Chris and Pitts. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. They also do catering for any occasion. Definitely will be back for the Pit Mac.

This is pretty much a fast food place because it's at the Whittier brewing Company. But their beef brisket is to die for. You have to come early because they sell out fast. Service is OK. People could smile a little more when they're taking your order lol. Ambience well it's the Whittier brewing Company you're outside, which is always good.

This food was delicious. The brisket melted in my mouth. It was so good I almost didn't use the bbq sauce because the natural flavors were so juicy. However the BBQ sauce was delicious as well. Amazing flavor. The weakest for me was the cheddar Mack but it was still good. The pickles they give you are also really good. I would definitely comeback here.

On my Whittier wander found this food court . Was looking forward to pizza n beer. But their was bbq . So come on now had to try it. As we arrived at bout 1 they were already removing items from the menu. Tried the Brisket and Pork Belly both of them were melt in your mouth deliciousness. Will be back to Whittier to try some more ahh Pizza.Is cool little food court with lots of seating.Wine and beer available. The service quick pleasant. read more

The bbq here is delicious! I've eaten here on three separate occasions, and the quality is always outstanding. During this trip, I had the half pound bbq pit platter, which was more than enough for four people. I always tell the chef that his bbq is better than some of the Texas bbq I've had! It's located inside the whittier brewing building. It's also in a good location because you can get beer/wine/dessert from the neighboring food shops. read more

Went here for Sunday brunch and actually arrived "early" before they sold out. In previous occasions we'd see them pack up for the night because they would be sold out! Anyway, so happy to see more dining options at Whittier Brewing. Service was great and fast. We probably waiting about 5-10 minutes for our food to be ready, and we were enjoying beers while doing so. The food looked great and smelled so good. We had the brisket chilaquiles (they only have red sauce and scrambled eggs over them) which were $21. I didn't care much about the sauce and the "tortilla chips" of the chilaquiles, but the brisket was so soft, like fall-apart-in-your-mouth soft. And with the BBQ sauce tasted so much better. The sides ($6 each) we chose were baked beans and the esquite. They were both good but definitely had a kick to them. We could only eat a little of the sides because our mouths would be on fire. The esquite has jalapeño mayo and the chilaquiles also had picked jalapeños which also gave it a kick. We've also tried to brisket sandwich ($17) with the potato salad side and was amazing. Next time we're trying the pulled pork sandwich and their meats by the pound. read more

Savanah is working the counter, Scott and Brian were in the kitchen. The food was amazing. Came out fast and was hot and fresh. And most importantly delicious. The portions were ample and we ended up eating all of it. I world definitely recommend this place. Good value as well. We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the beef brisket sandwich. Honestly the food is good but to not be open according to your hours is ridiculous. Went in at 12 on Sunday to get some bbq as they open according to their websites says they open at 12pm. And waited 45 minutes for it not to open l, this is the second time this happened. They lost me and my boyfriend as customers because we don't want to drive there again just to see it's closed again. read more

The brisket was pretty good. My family said they liked the pulled pork shoulder fries. The really good thing about them were their sides of corn and chorizo baked beans. I like the overall vibe of the building and the fact that there's beer right next door. I wish they had a soda fountain is all. read more

First time going here and will definitely be back :-) Ordering was very easy and the service was friendly and as a shy person that is always appreciated! t -- Atmosphere is very cool and calm nice for a night out anytime! - - And the real star of the show was the combo meal for less than 20$ one smoked meat and two sides the Mac and cheese was very flavorful and warm!! Where do I start.. BBQ was mind blowing-I've had basically everything- and nothing ever disappoints. Their BBQ sauce is definitely crafted by professionals! Brisket is always tender, which I'm usually weary of ordering because some BBQ joints don't know how to do it right- but this was... done right... and I'll keep coming back- there is no other BBQ joint in the area that comes close- Don't skip out on those sides either- max and cheese and the corn are my favorite!! read more

Although pulled pork sandwich tasted good was tender, not out of this world, like I must be back, my issue is the sign said sandwiches come with bbq sauce, slaw, pickles & fries for $17. What I got was sandwich w/pickles inside and a choice of fries or potatoes salad. No slaw and it was $19.17 not including tax. Uhmm... no bueno. Staff was friendly and was not a long wait... Had to try this place out the hype on instagram from some girl that post on Whittier. So I come in today Friday the 2/23/24 at 3 right when it open I was going to order the platter for $90 but I'm so glad I didn't I went with two ribs and sausage potatoe salad and baked beans with chorizo well I hate to be the spoiler but the ribs were cold as the temperature of the potato salad the ribs do fall off the bone . The food was a little to salty the meat and potato salad . to much mustard in the potato salad.That's my opinion. But I tried it and probably won't be back sorry for being honest. read more

I went to Pit and Bull Bbq for my first time on St. Paddy's day and wow I can't wait to go back. We ordered the half pound platter that comes with all the meats and 4 smalls sides. Everything was delicious! We also ordered a caesar salad and it was delicious as well especially with the croutons it comes with. I ordered the brisket with fries and Mac n cheese for the 2 sides. There were 3 slices of brisket. One was a bit dry, the other 2 moist and tender. The Mac n cheese was very good. The fries were ok, I prefer thicker cut fries as they tend to stay hot longer. read more

1/2 pound pulled pork shoulder and fries to share - perfect lunch meal for my huband and I. Barbeque sauce is not too sweet, not vinegary and not too spicy - just perfect in my opinion. Friendly cashier and lots of tables available in the indoor courtyard area. Since this is in an upscale food court, they don't serve alcohol but there is one of the shops that is all beer and wine, so no need to worry. Again I'll say: perfect size serving, perfectly cooked, and perfect sauce. read more

The host immediately greeted us with a warm smile, explained that it was a full-service restaurant, and made us feel welcome right away. We were seated almost immediately, which was a great start to our visit. The food definitely lived up to the service. I ordered the chicken plate since I don't eat mammals, and it was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the large beef rib. At first, he was surprised because the meat was served off the bone instead of on it, but after the first bite, that didn't matter anymore. The flavor was rich, the meat was incredibly tender, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the meal. One thing you shouldn't skip is trying the different BBQ sauces. They offer three varieties, and each brings something different to the table. My personal favorite was the original it complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for delicious BBQ with genuinely welcoming service, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

The ribs were perfectly smoked and not overwhelming and did not even need sauce on them! The brisket was a little on the dryer side but was still pretty good The beef rib was a little heavy on the pepper for my taste but was still great and not many places offer a Dino sized beef rib The brisket fries were loaded with cheese and brisket and were amazing The Mac n cheese and creamed corn were fantastic however the creamed corn was a little on the sweeter side but was still full of flavor The corn bread is a must to add on! It's not overly sweet but more of a perfect balance of sweet and savory and paired with the special butter, it is perfection! We spent about 100$ total for ALOT of food and had plenty of leftovers. All in all this restaurant does a great job if you want authentic bbq! It's not like Lucille's or Dickeys, this place has real bbq and because of that it will be my new go to for bbq!

Today I took my sister to introduce her to the best steak sandwich around. She started eating before me and said it was not that good. I'm looking at her like she's crazy as I put mayo and mustard on my Sammy. I take the first bite and notice this is NOT the flavor that I had before. Added a little salt and pepper thinking that will help. NOPE! Each bite was tough and loaded with gristle or inedible fat or something that I couldn't separate with my teeth. I'm pulling pieces apart and having to eat around the tough meat. I took the sandwich up to the register and asked them if they changed the cut of meat they use. They said no, it's always been either rib eye or NY. Every single one of the many I'd had before were the same. This one was different. Even looked different, as if it had been run through a machine in an attempt to tenderize it. Didn't work! You could see through some parts kind of like the way a knitted scarf would look If you stretched it out and could see the holes in it. Anyway, the guy said, "You must have got a tough cut" or "bad cut". I can't remember exactly the wording. But then he just shrugged me off. No offer to fix the problem. I was hungry, I hadn't had breakfast, and it was obvious the guy didnt care, so I just went back to my table and ate the rest of the bread and fixings while gnawing off any edible meat from my horrible steak. $26 for a sandwich and fries. Not willing to spend that much and hope I get a good cut of meat. I'm done.

The flavors on the brisket were super well developed, and the smoky burned outside provided such good texture as well.
