Their food is very good quality, but every dish has some type of random topping that gets thrown on at the end and it ends up ruining the entire dish! Ordered the sausage pizza and they put grape jam on it? It made it so sweet I couldn't even eat it. Similarly, I also ordered a chicken and mushroom pasta and they threw a ton of arugula into it. This made the pasta extremely bitter and basically inedible. I've been coming here for over a year and have finally had enough of the consistent terrible customer service here. Pizzas are never on time according to their own app that tells you when to come get order. How about adjusting the competition times to where I don't have to wait an extra 15 minutes once I arrive. The other issue is staff. Always off putting and never updates you on when your order will be ready. Instead, like tonight. I get it's not ready only to have them turn their backs to me. After waiting another minute I then have ti ask can you at least tell when it'll be ready or where my order is in line- silence then a quick snap back. It's not ready. OK hear me out this is the first time I'm going to pitfire pizza on 17th St. in Costa Mesa the very first time all I want is a simple kids orders a pepperoni pizza and pasta now I placed the order at 5 PM exactly after over 35 minutes of waiting. I find out that the pizza is not even being cooked. They forgot about it. This is the very first time I am going to this place and highly dissapointed . Everything was so good! I came with my friends and we got pizza, salad, and drinks. All of it was great! The strawberry hibiscus lemonade was SO GOOD!! I got the pesto pizza on a gluten free crust and the crust was great! The regular crust was delicious too according to my friends. I will definitely be back to try more, they have so many great sounding specialty pizzas! Can't wait to be back for more! This place is exactly what it's supposed to be, counter style pizza place. The steak salad is my go to, cooks the steak medium rare and is a big enough amount to split between two people. Only downfall is the salad is the toppings are put into sections so it's hard to get a bit of everything. The pizzas are great and wood fire made so with that comes the occasional burn but they are small and unavoidable. With the pizza, the toppings and the cheese don't really reach the crust but overall, when I want a good pizza and salad this is my go-to. read more

Good pizza but last two to-go pickups were 30 minutes or more late and the one before that was over 20 mins late :( They always offer a beer while I wait then charge me $8-$9 for it. Sorry but if your order is a half hour late just swallow the $0.60 cost for the draft and keep the happy customer. Also don't make it sound like you're comping it then charge me. The pizza here is DELICIOUS! Starting off, you get there and order up at the front & you receive your number and go choose a table. We sat outside but they did have their heaters on since it was a cold night. We ordered the charcuterie board, honey bear pizza & the pizza that has a bunch of meats (don't recall the name). The food was out pretty fast which was impressive! They brought the board out with bread & mustard dip. Everything on the board was really good. The honey bear pizza was too sweet for my liking as I felt like there was too much honey on the pizza but my boyfriend loved it so it just depends on your taste. The meat pizza was right up my alley and super good! What I love about their pizzas is that they don't feel overwhelmingly thick with bread. They're more on the thinner side but still filling. We were staycationing in a hotel in Huntington and found this pizza place thru doordash. The reviews were great and the pictures of the food looked inviting so we ordered spaghetti with meatballs and two pizzas (big sur and sausage party). And as we got the food, it did look yummy and smell amazing. But my husband and I think it's mediocre; we've had better pizza and pasta somewhere else. Stopped by this past weekend because my friend highly recommended this place. I was not disappointed! My bf and I shared the Burrata pizza and cheesy knots. Both were really tasty. The burrata pizza was nicely crisp and slightly chewy crust. The burrata on top was sooo cool, refreshing, and creamy. Burrata on anything is good, if you ask me. Tomato sauce on the pizza had great flavor. The cheesy knots were chewy with exploding cheese flavor (yum!), with subtle hints of garlicky goodness, it went perfectly with the marinara dipping sauce. This isn't a fancy place, but everything's just solid. Service was friendly, prices were fair, and parking was easy - we didn't get towed like the other reviews on here mentioned, assuming because we were paying customers... I'm a little confused by the reviews about people getting towed - were these also paying customers, or random people who parked in this private lot?
