I was so hyped to try the Burrata pizza. I have a weakness for burrata so if it's on a pizza, there is a 99% chance I am getting it regardless of what else is on it. And then I read: pesto, arugula, caramelized onions, and hazelnuts. Those are some of my favorite things: Sold!!! I am sad to report that it was an excellent concept but truly poor execution! Which...is a real shame because the base crust and sauce of the pizza is truly phenomenal *chefs kiss.* I think what I find the most disturbing of the experience is that even if it was a mediocre pizza, big chunks of burrata would have saved it for me! Well, I hate to say this but I am pretty sure they are not even putting actual burrata on the pizza. Normally burrata is a hunk of fresh mozzarella filled with a cream middle and some soft chunks of cheese. We all know what glory is fresh mozzarella and this wasn't it. I honestly still don't know what it was. Even the color is off, and consistency was a bit like thick snot. They was very little flavor, I even had to look up to make sure I didn't accidentally order a vegan Burrata. I tried to enjoy it for what it was but whole time I'm eating this pizza I'm feeling strongly that there is something missing. There was no other cheese on the pizza to make it a pizza and there was an excess of arugula. And I love arugula!!!! At first I was excited to see so much arugula...but this just got soggy and dominated over the other ingredients. Additionally the pesto really should have been part of the base, as it was drizzled on in a very inconsistent manner. It couldn't be detected in most bites. The execution on the caramelized onions could have also been better: instead of strange chunks glued to the sauce it could have even thin slices that were fully caramelized and topped on the pizza. I honestly want to just remove all the ingredients and put my own cheese on it, it was that bad. But, I'd love to see what they could do with this pizza concept if they could achieve a better balance of flavors and ingredient integrity. However, if that's too much then I'd recommend just removing this item from your menu entirely. I know you have other pizzas that are well executed so really having this as an option just compromises your integrity, reputation, and customer base. And if you are in fact not using real burrata, or making a watered down burrata glue/snot with other ingredients then: Shame on you!!! Italians everywhere are rolling in their graves. I truly hope you can take this feedback and make it better! And if you have an explanation about your burrata, I'm all ears! read more

Oh man! I don't know why I keep trying to support a "sinking ship." The last few times I've ordered here I've been disappointed by either the food or the service. This pains me to say, but my husband had to go to the ER after eating here. My husband ordered food and after realized he forgot to mention his cashew allergy, so before eating the food asked if the food contained cashews and we were assured that no it did not, spoiler alert it did and we ended up in the ER as a result. The menus did not denote any allergens in the restaurant, the staff really needs to be a lot more cautious about this, if someone who is deathly allergic had this same experience, we all know how bad that would turn out for the customer and business. Not the best pizza I've ever had but definitely very good. You order up front and go sit down with a number. Service was good. We had a large group so they let us sit in the back room as private party had cancelled. The ceasar was just ok. The chopped salad was really good. My favorite was probably the farmer's plate. Had 3 things, brussel sprout salad, steamed carrots, and ratatouille. All were great. The roasted chicken and mushroom cavatappi was also excellent. Tried kids cheese and pepporoni pizza. The pizzas were all good but I would rather stick with salads and pasta as they were so good. The menu is quite extensive and there are many things to try. Will be back to try more. read more

Steak Salad is SO good and big portion! I'm gluten free and absolutely LOVE the crust they have. Just know it is a thin crust, the edges tend to burn or crisp up a little more quickly than the non gf crust. But it just adds a delicious crunch! The new fad in the pizza culture is less items on the menu, more toppings on the pie. Simplicity with quality. Pitfire offers customers a range of excellent selections in both food and craft drinks. Their whole menu was so appetizing that I didn't even order pizza my first time. The Steak Salad and Spaghetti with Chicken Meatballs seemed like it would do the trick. The Steak Salad: A fresh mix topped with Tomatoes, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Avocado Slices, Candied Walnuts, Chives, Onion, with a Shallot Vinaigrette tossed in. Every ingredient perfectly complimented each other. The kick of the Blue Cheese, sweetness of the walnuts, juiciness of the tomatoes, and tenderness of the Steak all worked well making this a must! Spaghetti with Chicken Meatballs: Handmade Braised Chicken Meatballs, Spaghetti, Tomato Sauce, Parsley, and Parmesan. Sounds pretty simple until you take a bite. Chicken Meatballs aren't usually used in the tradition style Spaghetti but this twist gives customers a satisfying experience with its heartiness and flavor. The sauce was sweet which pulled the plate in all together. Pitfire makes sure every plate is as eye pleasing as it is delicious! I went to Pitfire for the first time in a long time last night and unfortunately, I remember it being a lot better than it was last night. I was bummed that it wasn't as good as I had remembered. We ordered chicken meatballs and asparagus (with Evoo and sea salt - yum!) which were both very good and came out quickly, but I was disappointed with the pizza. We ordered The Burrata, which has caramelized onions, arugula, hazelnuts, burrata mozzarella and then added prosciutto to it. The base was a tomato sauce, which was not listed under the ingredients but I guess I should've assumed it was tomato sauce. It did not go well with the rest of the ingredients and I think olive oil or just light cheese would've been a much better base. The tomato base was the only thing that was cooked on the entire pizza - everything else was raw, but the mix of ingredients did not jive well in my mouth. Would not order that again, but would go for a meat lovers pizza instead. Strawberry hibiscus lemonade was bomb, though! Cute, casual environment that was good for a Sunday night. Servers were friendly and attentive, but lots of loud kids running around, which is not my favorite thing.
