Not happy with the food at all. Expensive for what it is. Pizza super oily & salad had so much dressing I barley had two bits. Ordered 3 bowls of kids pasta, bowl was not full and super small in size. $7 should get you more butter pasta to fill 5-8 year olds, I had to make food again at home. I don't underhand why they charge a surcharge to customers without warning. I won't return it's not worth it. read more

Bad experience at Pitfire tonight! We use to go to Pitfire a few times a month. The soup, salads and pizzas were always on point. We ordered our usual favorite bean soup tonight as it's a perfect night for soup and it was honestly inedible. Didn't even taste like their typical bean soup. So unfortunate and hopefully the recipe didn't change. We also decided to try their boneless wings and they were also pretty bad - absolutely drenched in a salty teriyaki like sauce. Not sure I would keep those on the menu and stick to what you guys are known for - salads and pizzas (and usually great soup). read more

We came on a Saturday night and the restaurant failed to mention it was going to take 1 hour if we dined in for pizza all our other food came 40 mins of sitting at the table and no sorry no nothing i asked them if my pizzas could be expedited and they said no three kids and a meltdown and they said here are your pizzas in a to go box in the end we didn't even eat them at the restaurant they suck! there were only three in restaurant orders and the rest was uber eats so clearly we weren't the priority and i even said we are there tickets waiting to eat here. if you eat here ask how long it's going to be so your kids don't go into a meltdown read more

Cool decor and cool music (during weekends). However, this is the McDonald's for rich families--noisy with kids. Not Pitfire's fault, just an FYI. During Winter/Fall evenings, the lighting here is dim. During Summer and daytime, it is very bright here because half of their wall is glass. I recommend the following: Field Mushroom Pizza (4 Stars) Margherita Pizza (5 Stars) We tried this for the first time yesterday and it was really delicious. Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay (4 Stars) Priced from $8 - $10. And they taste good too. Chopped Salad (4 Stars) Kale Salad (3 Stars) - a bit on the sweet side Service: They have counter service. You order at the counter and they bring your food and drinks to your table. Their cashier and servers are nice Restroom (Women's) : It's a one-person restroom only. Pitfire Artisan Pizza is a casual, hip pizzeria with great tasting pizzas, salads and pasta. Bae and I came here on a Thursday at around 8 PM. There was no wait-time, but there were about 3-4 other parties eating here. People were coming as quickly as people were leaving, so it never filled up. Parking looks like it could be challenging; there's a dedicated parking lot in front with about 7-8 parking spots. It's a one-way drive through (you enter from one side and exit out the other), so don't try any shenanigans and try to turn around. I think you can get metered street parking a little bit further away. We got the Sausage Party Pizza, which comes with Bacon, Sausage, Salami, Coppa, Tomato, and Saba. It's a pretty solid pizza with a great burst of flavor. The crust is thin-crust, but it was able to hold all the toppings. I like the saltiness that comes from the salami and sausage. This is a pretty safe and delicious choice for anyone. The Steak Salad is phenomenal. It comes with Blue Cheese, Avocado, Onion, Walnuts, Shallot Vinaigrette. Really, you can view this as a cobb salad, but instead of bacon, it comes with nice medium-rare steak. I think you can choose how you would like the steak cooked, so no worries if you don't like any red or want extra red. I like how the fats from the cheese, avocado, walnuts, and steak contrast with the acidity of the onions and shallot vinaigrette. The flavors are in good balance and they give a hearty amount of salad. Bae thought it could use a little more steak, but I thought it was just fine. Service here is phenomenal! They were really attentive and brought things out in preparation of what you ordered. The ordering was easy and pleasant, and they checked up on you very often. They look happy to work here. There was even an incident where a nearby group of customers (and their kids) knocked over a glass and it shattered all over the floor. One of the employees was there immediately with a broom and swept up the mess. I thought that group was fairly rude since their kids were running amuck and they didn't even acknowledge that they had knocked over the glass. They didn't even apologize to the employee, left without making eye-contact with anyone, and didn't even reprimand their kids for being careless and running around the restaurant. It really stood out to me that despite their rudeness, the employees handled it like champs. The location is well-decorated and has a clean, hipster-y aesthetic. I liked how it looked and it seems like a fun place to hang-out with friends. For the two dishes we got, it definitely fed two people easily, and the price seems reasonable. read more

You know you get nervous when ordering a meatball sandwich for takeout, afraid of a messy soggy sandwhich. But not this one. It was packaged with a side leafy salad and toasted to perfection. I love eating here! I almost always get the chopped salad with a pizza or sandwich. They're food is great and staff is usually just as amazing. The reason why I give it 4 stars is that sometimes parking is tight, and some random days it smells inside. They have a small lot with maybe 10 spots and then there is street parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and have seasonal foods which are great. When on the menu - I recommend the brussel sprout pizza. read more

Fresh pizza that left us feeling good after. My boyfriend's cousin visiting from Malaysia really enjoyed the pizza and was surprised it wasn't greasy. We got the mushroom pizza, margaherita pizza, and the Mac and cheese. Mushroom pizza - 5/5 love love loveeee mushrooms. A pizza loaded with different kinds of mushrooms? Yes please. I kinda wish they added more enoki shrooms but nonetheless, very delicous. Margherita pizza - 4/5 needed more basil / tomato IMO. They had mozzarella ovals baked on which was a nice burst of cheesiness. Mac and cheese - 3/5 nothing too special except the fact they used that cute spiral pasta (cavatappi?). I like coming here for a couple specific reasons. My most recent visit highlights what I like best about coming to Pitfire. Let's start with the food. There are tons of pizza, pasta and salad choices. It helps to come with a couple people, because you can share and taste. The restaurant is thankfully located south of Santa Monica on Westwood Blvd. There's plenty of street parking, but they do have a small lot if you're looking for parking. You seat yourself and order at the register. It's important to note that they have a kids menu and they are very kid friendly. That's one of the reasons I like coming here. My kids ordered a pizza pie and Mac n cheese to split. My wife and I split a Bolognese and a pizza ourselves. I think the pasta is really good here and I love a good Bolognese. Good pasta is another one of those things that bring me back. The prices are reasonable and the service is usually quick. They have a seasonal menu by the front counter and if you want to do healthy or have dietary restrictions, they have some options for you as well. I don't remember eating a bad meal here or ever being disappointed by the taste. They have tons of seating available and it's located south of the Village, so I'm rarely frustrated by parking or getting here. I really like the food and the location. I would recommend it to anyone looking for good Italian an easy family meal. read more

Pitfire is one of my favorite go to pizza spots. I've been to several of their locations but this one is definitely my favorite. Parking is a breeze as they have their own free private lot attached to the restaurant. On some rare occasions the lot is full, but there's still ample parking meters on the street. They have tons of things to choose from on their menu but I tend to go for their pizzas. My favorites are the pepperoni and the honey bear. The fire roasted chicken sandwich is also fantastic! This most recent time I tried the smothered cookie which was also great! The best part of my most recent visit was our server Josh. He gave great recommendations, and I ended up trying out the honey bear pizza for the first time. Josh has an awesome personality and he made us feel welcomed the whole night. read more
