So my family and I have tried 4 different pizza places before settling on Pizza Joint as our favorite. The workers are extremely friendly and super nice to kids. The channel choice on the tv could be a little more tasteful for a family dining in. And I don't know about you but I like to dip my pizza in ranch and to me ranch sitting out on the counter all day is not sanitary. Overall the pizza taste I'd give it 3 stars. But along with the service.... 2 stars overall experience. When we first walked in, the cashier who told us later that he was the owner's son, didn't greet us. I said hi to him first. Anyway, we also asked him a few questions about the menu. Meatball sandwiches are not served with homemade meatballs sadly. So we ordered a pizza instead. We sat down, tables were sticky so I went to get some napkins and told the cashier that the tables were sticky. He stood there and stared at me so I said "i have some napkins can you wet them so I can wipe down the table...it's sticky" and he's like "oh you want me to wet them?" And I said "well do you have a rag to wipe it down?" And he's said "oh yeah." It's like okay...not rocket science but I went back to the table and he came over to wipe it down. He also didnt restock anything in the front...we saw him standing there the whole time. We needed knives and he handed one to me but said "theyre usually in the container with the forks." But he didn't restock them after I walked away. waited about 25-30 for our pizza to arrive to the table. This is more of a take out spot even though they have tables to sit down at. Drinks were bottled only, no cups with ice, plastic ware only, sat down with the pizza box and paper plates in front of us. The pizza was rather doughy, leaving the crust very thick. The ground beef looked more like sausage. They left a bottle of ranch on the table for us to help ourselves and when we left we asked for a sauce container for the .50 ranch we paid for and the cashier gave us a container and we had to ask him again for a lid..... probably not coming back anytime soon or again..disappointing experience! read more

Consistently tasty pizza & sami's! Usually takes 30min for takeout. The guys are real nice but get confused when you give them your name for take out. They know you by the pie you ordered. "Capricorn & garlic cheese bread" that's me. They used to give you a call when your order was ready so you could pop over if you live nearby. I miss that little friendly touch. My first try here didn't start off so good. When I called in an order, the guy on the phone sounded like he would rather be anywhere else but working the phone at Pizza Joint. Using a menu that was hung on my door perhaps quite a while ago, I ordered a pizza with ground beef, mushrooms and yellow onions. He said they were out of ground beef and yellow onions. Would I like red onions? So I guess he was trying to be helpful with the red onion suggestion, but it was kind of comical that they were out of what I would think are basic ingredients that were on this (old) menu. It was a Sunday evening about 6:45 PM. OK, so maybe they run out over a weekend, but that's still kind of poor planning. Anyway, the pizza was promised in 40 - 45 minutes, but actually arrived in about 30. Very tasty mushroom pizza. I'll agree with another review that it was a bit wet. The hand-tossed crust was pretty thin in the middle, though generous around the edge. Either the sauce or mushroom juice or both had made the center soggy. But other than that, the pizza was excellent. I'm looking forward to reheating leftovers in the oven, perhaps crisping up the center of the crust a little bit. The cheese was generous, but didn't quite reach the crust on the edge (some bare tomato sauce was visible around most of the edge). This meant that the cheese would slide off the slice while eating from the center. Minus 1 star for: soggy middle of the pie. not spreading the cheese beyond the sauce to anchor it, toppings out of stock, low enthusiasm on the phone & no web page (so I could be sure I was looking at a current menu). The story is long and boring, but the upshot is that I waited for about two hours, and even called to check on my order. They confirmed that they'd received it, and it was on its way. This is an excellent place to order from if you want to wait for over an hour for your pizza. You should probably plan on calling up to 90 minutes before you want your pizza just to give them time to pretend the pizza's on their way while they furiously make the pizza they totally forgot to make earlier.
