So with this place being the only pizza buffet around, I am glad there is such a place that is also affordable. I would recommend going here around lunch time, preferably right when they open. After that you take your chances. Salad bar is excellent. Pizza is more fresh earlier in the day. I wouldn't recommend coming around the dinner rush. Seems like that's where things get rushed or forgotten, which means the quality of the pizzas and pasta bar suffers. If your looking for cleanliness and a quite place to eat... this place is probably going to disappoint you. If more staff was on hand, overall this place could improve. They have a variety of pizza, but the buffet line is not set up right. There are pizza's up front to choose from, but another pizza behind each of them and it is so hard to get to them. There is not a place for you to walk behind and get that pizza. My husband like the pasta they served. They cook it in front of you so it is fresh. They have several dessert pizza's. I tried the apple pie and the cookie dough. The apple pie crust was too hard like it had been sitting all day. The cookie dough was good, but I wish they would cut the dessert pizza's into small portions. Garlic knots were good, but not fabulous. The cheese sticks were really good. We had a coupon, but they have happy hour between mon-thurs i think 2-4 and an hour before closing all days. read more

Positively terrible. The pizza dough is chewy and leaves a pasty flour taste in your mouth and EVERYTHING is made from that dough, so there is no escape. Even the salad bar which I had hoped would have some redeeming quality was wilted and nasty. There is nothing that would make me return here. This is where the customer service becomes questionable - everything is excellent about this place as a cheap all-you-can-eat joint except for the manager James. He takes it upon himself to ruin guests' experience - hence this review. Everything about this place is excellent except the unprofessional demeanor of the manager James - he treats guests at this restaurant as if he were the principal's hall monitor at an elementary school and guests are out of class without a hall pass - instead of a manager trying to improve guests' experience. This has always been one of my kids favorite places to go. We make the 15 minute drive about twice a month. My kids last day of school was today, so off we went. It was awful! So dirty! The staff was so cold and could care less about working. Plates of dirty dishes everywhere! Salad bar was trashed. They have the most friendly employees! That made for a great experience. The food was great! The only thing I'd do differently next time would be to ask them to cook my GF pasta a little longer. They even made my GF pizza as half regular and half dessert pizza. My family loves this place. Next time, we'll avoid the family area because they have a tv on in there and I couldn't get my kids to focus on eating or engaging in conversation because of the distraction. My mom and I went here for lunch and the service was mediocre. While it was during the lunch rush, we figured they would constantly have hot (and fresh!) food out constantly; sadly, this was not the case! The salad bar was great, and was well-stocked with all the things we wanted, but the hot food was lacking. I wanted Alfredo sauce on my pasta, but was told it was "heating up." I went to get pepperoni pizza and it was gone, and went to get another kind of pizza and it too was gone. It seems like they should have been in a continuous cycle of having hot food out and having some in reserve in the back, waiting to be put on the buffet. We were disappointed in the lack of "restocking" of the options overall. Also, we had to wait and eventually ask for a refill on water. Went at for a late lunch with family on a Saturday. We had 7 young children and there were quite a few people in the restaurant so it was rather noisy, but the music was so loud over it all that we couldn't even hear each other. It was late lunch, but a lot of the pizzas were gone or down to just a few slices and they didnt put out any new ones in the hour plus that we were there. The salad bar was down to almost nothing and I had to ask for ranch dressing. Five of us waited around with our plates waiting for forks after two of us asked if they had more forks as all of the containers were empty. I will say the salad bar attendant and guy picking up used plates etc, were polite and attentive. Bathroom was messy and of course that loud music. Not impressed with this location. read more

We just moved closer to this location and after reading reviews, here and off of google, I was hesitant to try this location. We bravely went in expecting horrible dinner but it was the kids night for choosing. The pizza was hot and the cheese was stringy and melty- in a good way. The selection was good. Plenty of desert options as well. The salad bar was low but I noticed an employee working to fill it. The pasta bar was hot- in a good way. A server came around clearing our plates, at first we started setting them on another table because ours was quickly getting crowded, but they did eventually come and kept coming by. The Mountain Dew was gross, maybe low syrup? The women's bathroom was clean but out of paper towels and a handle broke in the faucet and the men's seemed as if thy sprayed cleaner and got pulled to do something else. The lobby was clean! NEVER again. DO NOT EAT HERE. We went there on Tuesday the 22 of November 2016. About 3:00 pm. ~$9.00 per person with a drink. My 15 year old son ate half a slice of pizza. He thought it was disgusting. He also pointed out how dirty the fountain drink machine was after we left. The pizza was dry cardboard and nasty. My 16 year old daughter said at least the salad was ok. I had to agree with her until I ate some cubed ham and turkey. That was awful. Tasted nasty and rotten. Not a fan of buffets, we were hesitant to try this place. That said, when you have a hangry three-nager in tow, speed is important so we thought we'd give this place a shot. Glad we did. Their pizza was surprising good & very fresh. A nice variety to choose from. The salad bar was pretty basic but was clean & constantly restocked. Our preschooler liked it very much for the cucumbers & pears. The pasta bar had many types of pasta to choose from and there were several tasty sauces. Our hangry preschooler enjoyed the pasta with carbonara sauce. Hubs love love loved the garlic knots. The desert pizza was fun, not really my thing but they were constantly bring more from the ovens & hubs & kiddo enjoyed the apple one a lot. It's a pizza buffet. However, it seems like they have reduced their staff. Tables without patrons had not been bussed. Had to find somebody to clean a table because no open tables were clean. Person bussing tables was also the same one cooking pasta. Cleaning rags were kept in the same unseparated bin as dirty dishes by the bussing staff. I've been going to Pizza Pie Cafe since it started as Craigo's up in Idaho. There are a few tricks to this place to have a better experience. First and foremost is that you have to go when it's busy. If you don't, you will get pizzas that have been sitting out for a very long time, a salad bar that is not being refreshed often, and no one to assist you at the pasta bar. When it's busy, the pizzas are going fast, but that also means they are hot and fresh. This is the kind of pizza you really need to eat soon after it's been cooked, otherwise it's a bit like cardboard. The variety is good though, and it's a good place for everyone in my family to find something they like. I love a good salad bar, and the pasta sauces aren't bad. My pizza recommendations are for the buffalo chicken pizza and the raspberry dessert pizza. Though, the rest of my family LOVES the oreo dessert pizza. Too sweet for me. The garlic knots are also good and we usually fill up a salad plate with ranch dressing from the salad bar for everyone to dip into. I love this place!!! The workers loook like they really enjoy working there it's a very good environment. The pizza is pretty good for a buffet. I love the dessert pizzas they are really good. Sometimes the pizzas will run out but you can tell that all the workers are trying there best!! They always have stuff in the oven so that everything will be fresh. I like how you can ask for a request and the topper will make it for you. The front of house workers are really nice and the bussers are super nice. It's a really good place to take a big family. If you ever need anything you can just ask a worker and they will do it for you and help. The workers are all willing to help out every time you need!!! Everytime we order over the phone my wife gets somebody who misunderstands her. We have to order Gluten Free and this last time they thought we wanted Peas instead of cheese and pepperoni. First, who the freak orders peas on a pizza and why do they even have them? Secondly, we now have to wait another 15 minutes while they correct the perfectly uttered order. So there I was on a Saturday evening with the wife and boy, a little after closing, when this imposing dude walked up to the table and told me his employees have to clean up - my response was ok, I'm working on it - and at the time I was almost done, one more slice of pizza and I was ready to walk out.  But this dude did not like my answer - he literally scowled at me and then muttered something as he walked away, to which I naturally responded, to the effect of "Why are you pushing me?"  Note:  I have been visiting this place for more than a year and had nothing but good experiences with the employees.  I truly had stellar relations with the employees and one even gave me several discount cards for use when I brought the family.  Often times I arrive late so I stay a bit after official "closing time" but the employees have always been polite and they leave pizza on the counter as long as anyone wants it - and I have ALWAYS been polite about cleaning up after myself (I clear my table of most dishes if not all and I never leave a mess), letting them know I would clear out if they ever needed me to.  And guess what - no one ever harassed me about "staying late" - actually, several would come by the table after "closing time" to ask if I would like any additional salad or pasta - NEVER rushing me and NEVER impolite.  So this is a STELLAR review of this location except for this ONE INSTANCE and this ONE EMPLOYEE.  So on this Saturday evening in question, this guy - later I learned that his name is James - took it upon himself to harass me about sitting at the table a few minutes after "closing time" - in front of my wife and child, SCOWLING at me, and then muttering something at me as he walked away from me.  Since when does an employee at a pizza joint confront a customer, scowl at them, and then walk away muttering behind his back?  But that was exactly what happened - this guy "James" first confronted me about "staying after closing" - which had NEVER happened to me prior to this visit, then he SCOWLED at me, which naturally put me on defense mode - especially in front of my wife and child - and then he muttered something at me behind his back as he walked away.  These are all blatant components of absolute disrespect to the customer, which should never happen!!  I find it simply mind boggling - I have had nothing but fabulous experience with this pizza joint for the past year, and then this happens, with no warning (no one EVER gave me any problem about staying a bit late) - James comes along and not only harasses me for finishing my pizza after "closing time," but then he insults me by scowling at me then muttering something at me behind his back.  Believe me - I like this place and I'd like to visit again and bring my wife and child, as long as I can past the gorilla that guards the shop as if it were his own.  One has to assume that if this guy James treats me this way, he treats others the same. read more

So pizza pie cafe is typically the same no matter what location but layouts are a little different. This one has little booths you can sit in with a dimmer switch. If I could give them no stars I would. The worst service ever. We came in at 7:40 and wasn't seated until 8:20 people came and right away were seated. The they decided to seat us in the bac when we got to the bac it was a ghost town no one seated bac there the waitress had apologize saying oh I didn't realize we could use this part of the area. Smh!!! We got seated and went to get some food and there were no pizza's there my kids were hungry and to top it off it was my daughters birthday..... if i could give 0 stars, i would. i was skeptical after reading the reviews, but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. unfortunately, my doubts game to fruition. within 90 seconds of arrival, the salad bar plates were gone (all 2 of them), as well as all sauce cups (all 3 of them), all pizzas (all 4 of them), and one full tub of ranch. napkins were not provided at tables. This place was one of the if not the dirtiest restaurants I have ever eaten at- that being said, we did stay and eat so I cannot complain, but it was very very dirty. Food all over the floor. Pizza parts all over the display, cheese spilled on the counters, dirty booths, dusty napkin dispenser... We waited for a while to be acknowledged and paid for our food first (hence the staying- we paid then saw the nasty mess). Lots of staff present, but not too many doing very much other than socializing and taking a break or lunch together. One guy was working hard in the back cooking and another was bussing tables alone. It did look like a manager was trying to get things in order, but not very well. All that said- the pizza and pasta were actually pretty good. The food was the right temperature too. Very inexpensive $1 for small drink you can refill at will, $8 for dinner, but only $6 if you go at 8 pm they call it happy hour. Great selection of pastas and sauces, pizza selection is great; a lot of chicken choices, great selection of dessert pizzas as well and salad bar is good too. Their pizza crust is a bit bland and occasionally doughy. Overall though it is a great value for the cost. Their food for the most part is great for a chain. Their Garlic Knots need more garlic flavor and less flour flavor. Their salad bar is simple yet wonderful. Their pasta bar is delightful with several sauce choices with rich flavors.
