This has become my go to pizza spot in Reno. A bit pricey, but sign up for rewards and you'll get some nice coupons. The ingredients on the pizza are great with a nice crust. The focus is definitely on the ingredients and not heavy cheese or sauce. Creative steak and egg was nice and love the cheese bread. Unpopular opinion -- Living within 2 miles of Pizzava, I had been wanting to try this place since it opened. It wasn't terrible, nor was it great. Disappointed to say I would've preferred a $5 frozen pizza from the grocery store over spending $34 (delivery, with tip) for a small pizza and an order of jalapeño poppers. The jalapeño poppers were mediocre and bland... they had no kick to them and they tasted as if they were store-bought. I've definitely had better. Not to mention they were $8. I ordered a small alfredo chicken pizza w/ mushrooms added to it. It looked good and smelled good, but didn't live up to its expectations. It arrived hot but also a bit soggy and the chicken tasted as if it had been dehydrated. The only good part about the pizza was the crust. You have to pay extra for ranch (sad to find out it's not homemade ranch), so it was unfortunate to find that they had shorted me one. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Good food ruined by terrible staff. This place NEVER has your food done on time and then NEVER bothers to notify you when its finally ready. I checked in and my food wasnt ready, fine. I sit down to wait. 15 minutes later I go ask again and am informed its been done for 10 minutes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The pizzas was good- the boneless wings were literally dog shit. The wings tasted like they bought a frozen pack from a gas station. I strongly wouldn't recommend the wings, the wings were off, I had to throw away a 9 piece wing and my money. Just get the pizza itself when you next time go to Pizzava. After careful consideration of my pizza consumption this year, I've decided that Pizzava makes the best crust of them all. I love the convenience of their online ordering system and receive helpful coupons in my email about once a week reminding me that they're there for me when I simply do not feel like cooking. I like that they are currently offering curbside pickup but have used their delivery a time or two, as well. The garden pizza and spicy Hawaiin are some of my faves and are even more excellent after having consumed a couple of drinks. Arrived in Reno for a business trip and was looking on yelp for somewhere to eat dinner. Well, this city sure shits down early. It was almost 10pm on a Friday and As I scrolled through the list, most paces closed at 8 or 9pm! Then I see Pizzava, read all their great reviews, and they offered a discount for first time customers. Even better they delivered to my hotel and were open until 3am. My order arrived before the set time, my pizza was hot, they added extra veggies to the salad as I requested, and brought plates and napkins (without me asking) since I was staying in the hotel. This really was the best pizza I have ever had. My husband arrived around 12:30am from the airport and I put a second order in. He got wings with his pizza an we both agreed hands down this was the best pizza place we've had. This will be our go to place for delivery each time we come for business. Edit--open until 3am! To tell the truth...Today I wanted Blind Onion but they were closed and I was looking for delivery instead. Called Pizzava and found out I was just out of range but the head of shift there offered me a discount if I wanted to come pick up and try them. Well what the hell, I love a deal :) And I really didn't want some Dominos or Pizza Hut type of cookie cutter pizza. The reviews on these guys were enough to make me wander a bit to get to them. One was the BBQ Chicken...AMAZING tasting pizza and the crust had that fresh brick oven kinda taste only it was chewier than brick oven. Hate it when a pizza is too doughy or too crunchy. This was perfectly between. The BBQ sauce was an awesome Hawaiin type of blend that was pefectly complimented by the ingredients. I am allergic to pork so I had to remove the bacon...but I can only imagine how awesome that would have been too. Great job guys! The second pizza was the Meatball which I added some peppers and onions to. also wonderful. There was a kind of basil pesto flavor to the meatballs that made it unique to any I had tried before. I can't figure our whether I like huge meatballs on a pizza like this (pirates does this) or whether I love this more...Meatballs were cut up a bit so they were more bite sized. But this is a must try! The staff was all young men and I expected the typical stoned 17 to 25s But these guys were ON THE BALL! They were friendly and alert and did an add on without needing to spend 30 minutes with the manager to figure out how. You can add a tip on the card (which is one reason I avoid the trendy places usually) I never carry cash in my rushed world! The manager?? young gentleman even checked in with me and noticed I was stressed and told me he hoped I loved it and that hopefully this pizza would destress me...It DID :) Thank you sir! This place is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!! One of the best pizza places in Reno - hands down. Just a fair warning, these are gourmet pizzas, not your typical BJ's or Round Table type. No red sauce on either of the pizzas we ordered. And chunks of cheese, not the traditional shredded type at other places. We went here for lunch last week, not too crowded and our food came out quickly. They did warn us that Friday's dinner rush can get really busy, good to know and share with others. I've driven by a few times but never tried it until recently because they have a limited seating area and parking isn't great, but if you get delivery that doesn't matter. I had the Hawaiian pizza and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be coming back, and they are open late which is a nice option especially on a Friday or Saturday night. My love for pizzava borders on obsession. This is one of the best pizza places in Reno! They have a great variety of pizza including breakfast options and some with fries! The delivery area is limited, but they do have plans on expanding. This is probably to my benefit because I would order it everyday. Their logo is also on point! Got into a jam with a rival pizza place in Mid Town. Called up Pizzava and ordered a couple of pies for a some hungry teenagers. Pizza came quick. Hot and fresh out of the oven. Great crust and a healthy amount of toppings (including cheese). Pizza sauce is nice and well portioned (not too little, not too much). Overall a great experience. I got a pizza from Pizzava while I was in quarantine with Covid-19 (good times ya'll). I ordered a medium pepperoni and half with fries on it. I never had it that way but my roommate told me about it and had to try it. The pizza was perfect!! A good amount of pepperoni and fries on it, cooked well. Absolutely phenomenal and quirky food. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wifey and I saw this place on RGJ's website and thought we would try it out today for lunch. Parking was close and available on the street. We looked at reviews online (Yelp and Google) and saw their menu online which also were super helpful. We ordered a large half Alfredo Chicken and half Bacon & Fries and two bottled sodas from their fridge. Dude. It was banging! We loved both types of pizza. The crust was crispy with a cornmeal base which to us is the absolute best way for crusts to be made. The crust is what made the pizza for us- and their quirky combos that we loved trying. Bacon and Fries- salty and delicious. Alfredo Chicken- also has spinach on it and is super creamy. 10/10. After pizza we also ordered their cinnamon balls to go. So so so delicious. Their icing is super sweet and balanced the not-so sweet balls. We sat in their cozy chairs near the front and just hung out and ate. Atmosphere also is awesome- their tiled floors have almost an embossed look to them. Plus one clean bathroom that was clearly labeled. We will absolutely be back and took a menu to go too! read more

This is a cool place nestled in midtown! I liked the colors of the black and bright yellow, something you dont see often, giving it a fun vibe, it is a small eatery but you can walk through to the brewery / bar (sorry my brain is blank on the name) and eat your pizza there while having a beer! A high speed, low drag, pizza experience unlike any other (or is it a low speed, no drag, pizza on a path to enlightenment)? Who cares? Call it whatever you want this is definitely some really good pizza, without a doubt! Literally, I made the high speed reference for a reason. The crust is all the way around light and full of flavor and as pizza should be the prefect vehicle for delivery of toppings. These pizzas are fired very fast and ready to go in a hurry. Baked on a thin crust and recipes that are kept on the simple, not overly laden side, and fired in a high temp oven, you'll be in and out fast. The steak bomb is delicious, it's simplicity in part lending heavily to its flavorful success. The BBQ chicken is equally successful in a short list of high quality ingredients and well balanced in sweet, salty, and a happy flavor punch in the mouth. Seating here is limited and I wouldn't say it's well suited for dine in, but it's certainly an option, with that said, not a great option for a large group. Recently open right next door, Under the Rose shares a wall and a door joining the two, so you can always grab a pint of suds while you briefly wait. They deliver and I've already heard chatter of another location (we can certainly hope). Staff is very friendly and always smiling (serving pies and making others happy, breeds happiness?) and definitely want to see their patrons equally so. Another welcome addition to mid-town, complimenting the revitalization extremely well and an overall excellent pizza destination, Pizzava is already on my list of regular locations (and walking distance to other equally cool mid-town hot spots). read more
