I was told the wait would be 15 minutes, we waited 40 and they still got my order wrong.

First, the very nice young man who took my order was spectacular. He was friendly, helpful and kind. He went above and beyond to give me what I wanted. 10+ stars for him. The sides were fine. I love the grilled onion that comes with a family pack. The tortillas are soft. The chips are crispy and warm. The rice and beans are tasty. The whole problem is the chicken. The food is always great! Luis also has the best customer service. He is super friendly, works so hard from taking orders in the drive thru and front counter to cleaning the dining room. This location needs to step it up if they want to last. They always forget something on to-go or drive thru orders, which is frustrating. Forget the rotisserie chicken from Kroger and Tom Thumb. This is the BEST chicken I've had in a long time! The food was FAST FRESH. The flavors Immaculate. The salsa, red onion and habanero, rice and beans are authentic. The chicken ALONE was by far the best the flavor combination, juicy not dry. The service was fast and friendly. Beware!!!! RAW chicken!! Went a little while ago for take out (it's 6:57 pm on January 25, 2022). Came home to open my crispy chicken salad and right there, plain as day, the chicken is RAW!!!! I certainly did not feel like getting food poisoning so returning that along with the other chicken dish to get refund! I loved that salad in the past and was looking forward to it but sadly I don't think we will ever return :-(. What? UPDATE: Pollo Regio reached out to me after reading the reviews. They have refunded the order and have been very proactive. They promised to look into the online ordering issue. ---- The food was fine. The service sucks! I ordered Friday morning, for the Plano store. Got to the Plano store, they didn't have my order. The order went to the Grand Prairie store. The staff there were either not able or willing to help me resolve the situation. We were in a hurry, so I put in the order again (can't put the same order in person as I did online!) So we were charged twice for the same order. Don't order online! read more

Hubby and I have eaten at varies locations. This one by far is the best. We didn't do a sit down here. I tell hubby what I want and he brings it home. The onions and chicken are kick ass good from this place! The chicken is superb! It's cooked over an open grill with the best dang spices. The chicken is just right, with the perfect amount of tenderness. If there is such a thing as chicken crack, this place has it. It's so addicting and dang good! The jalapeño slaw is perfect as are the beans and rice! The food has the perfect amount of burn to make you notice, but not make you hurt. Couple that with the corn tortillas (not homemade) you have a recipe for a great dinner. I like the hot/spicy tomatillo sauce as the topping. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food. I'm still going to give a 3 star, but you guys - SERIOUSLY (!!!!) need to work on NOT having chicken bones in the meat still with quesadillas. The bone my boyfriend found last night was at least an inch long. This isn't the first time. We may just keep getting the beef, but we will give one more chance. Consider this a safety issue. What if someone cracked on it? What if the bone punctured the roof of someone's mouth? What if they swallowed it and it got stuck in their esophagus? Worse is that children don't say things. I ordered half a chicken. The mesquite rub was ok, yet mushy. The worst chicken was dry and stringy, thinking it must have been old.

I feel like this location has gone downhill. They used to be really good, but lately they have been off. Today I got a chicken burrito and it comes with guacamole and some other condiments. The avocados they used was unripe and really bland/gross tasting and tough. But that's not all of it, there was literally a piece of plastic or charcoal or something in the food. It scared me when I bit down and it broke in my mouth. I really liked Pollo Regio but that's so disappointing. Make sure you check your food before you take a bite! read more

With this place being just down the road from my house, why not give it a try? I went through the drive-thru and the menu looked a bit outdated and was a bit confusing, but I ended up ordering the barbacoa burrito with beans and rice. Opening up my order, they accidentally gave me a baked potato with barbacoa, so I had to go inside and get my order corrected. The staff was really nice and were quick to get me my correct order, so everything worked out! The food smelled really good and could barely wait to get back to my car, so I needed up eating inside! The burrito was a bit smaller than your typical fast food burrito that you could get for a cheaper price. The barbacoa tasted good and had a nice smokey flavor to it. The only problem was that my burrito was dripping with grease. The burrito also came with some rice and beans and I was a fan of those! In the end, this place is a little more expensive than your go-to fast food Mexican place. I'll definitely give this place another try and order their famous chicken! Eat on y'all! read more
