I dream about Potato Corner. It's the best and my favorite place to get fries that actually have flavor. It's definitely different than, say, garlic parmesan fries you would get at a restaurant that has a beautiful presentation, freshly shaved parmesan, and bits of parsley sprinkled all over. And by different I mean BETTER! Restaurant fries lack the flavor the Potato Corner just gets! And yes, it's definitely a ton of artificial flavoring and powder but it tastes so good. Potato Corner is essentially a stand located on the corner of the first floor in Valley Fair. It's right next to Build-a-Bear, you can't miss it because there's always going to be a line. Oh and trust me, you will smell the deliciousness. I love getting the sour cream and onion with garlic parmesan as well. It's my favorite combo. I usually just get the original fry, but if not, I'd get the loopy fry (additional 50 cent charge). They ran out of garlic parmesan this time so I combined sour cream and onion w/ cheddar instead. If you like the sour cream and cheddar ruffles this combo is for you. OMG so delicious. You really can't go wrong with any order. The fries are crisp, sweet, and salty. Flavor bursts in your mouth with every bite. I got the mega (medium size) for $6 and it's worth every penny. Only con is that they don't have enough tables nearby. There's a handful (maybe 5 or 6?), but they're always taken. However, I did see that they were opening in an actual unit store, "coming summer 2021." It's like the unit right next to the stand that's been there for years, so like 10 ft away LOL. Hopefully they'll bring some tables so we can munch our fresh fries instead of walking all the way to the food court or finding a bench. Potato Corner is the absolute bestttt mall snack you can get. I always get so excited whenever I see one at a mall. It's been a while since I had Potato Corner, and this visit I decided to get a Giga size of their regular fries with the Sour Cream & Onion and Garlic Parmesan flavors. This location is usually extremely busy as they generate a lot of traffic being in between multiple stores. It looked like they'll actually be getting their own actual store soon, right next to where their booth usually is at Valley Fair which is quite exciting. It'll probably help with the crowds of people that usually wait around the perimeter of the booth so that it doesn't obstruct anything. I came on a Saturday afternoon and my visit was about 10-15 minutes long. In terms of their customer service, it didn't feel quite welcoming - the employees there seemed like they were there because they had to be there. My order was finished a lot earlier than I thought too, it would've been helpful if they had a loudspeaker, some screen showing orders that were ready (like Happy Lemon!), or called out names more often since it was hard to hear with all of the people around. My fries ended up just sitting on their counter for probably about 5 minutes before we went up to ask if they were ready yet. Maybe this'll be implemented with their new store? As for the fries, we asked for a combination of two of their flavors but it ended up tasting only like one of the two: sour cream and onion. The fries were crispy however as usual and they only do take out orders only. They do have sauces prearranged for this and if you want to eat at the mall itself, there are tables you can dine at the second level of the mall. I still am obsessed with Potato Corner regardless haha and am hoping they'll be more efficient and work on customer service in the future at their new location. I have heard great things about this place and finally decided to stop by when I visited the mall. There was only one person ahead of me when I visited but the wait was pretty long. I believe that since they make the fries fresh, it is a bit longer of a wait. I got the jumbo original fries. I got a mix of sour cream and chili bbq. I did ask for half and half but the girl who was working said they can't do half and half unless you get the biggest size but they are able to do a combination of both flavors already mixed together. So I decided to just get the premixed flavors for my fries. The fries were served nice and crispy and were packed nicely togo. They have some sauces available and I opted for some ranch. I do have to take a star off for the amount of flavor/powder on the fries. They were completely covered and it became too much after a while. Everytime I come, this place is always buzzing and there is a reason for it. Made to order fresh, hot, crispy potato fries seasoned to perfection. The 20-30 minutes wait is always worth it. The use a ton of seasoning on their fries, tater tots, or whatever you order, so get ready for your fingers to get dirty and your taste buds to get a burst of flavor! I really like the BBQ flavor, and you can get it spicy. Some people also do half BBQ and half ranch. No matter what, it will be yummy. The only issue is that there is always a line and always a wait. They had a middle kiosk for a while but closed that to open this spot. I grew up eating Potato Corner in the Philippines. It's a must get while shopping at various malls. Though, they only had smaller kiosks. Fries are cooked to order and drenched in powdered flavor - cheese, sour cream and onion, bbq. It's not the best junk food but hits the spot when you crave it. I am not much of soda drinker but for some reason it's great paired with a Sprite. Fries has to be eaten fresh. It will get stale fast. They also offer chips, baked potatoes and tater tots. Yes, they are wearing gloves, but the same gloves hand just used a broom and then she pulled out her AirPod from her pocket (still gloved) and then handled the food. potato corner is a filipino fast food franchise specializing in flavored fries. they do offer other options, like tater tots and curly fries, and chicken if you're into that, but i'd stick to the fries. they're right beside build-a-bear and, inside, it's pretty small. we came in at 11am and there were already five groups waiting for their order. they do have a note beside the register detailing that service is slower than usual due to one of their fryers being down. it took about 15 minutes to get our three "giga" fries (garlic parm, cheese, & bbq). the fries are definitely frozen, but something about the artificial flavoring just makes it good! they came hot, well-seasoned, and, on an empty stomach, made for a great mall snack. they do offer free dips (one per item, if i can recall) though we forgot to ask. read more

What a cool little stand. Perfect snack for the mall! We got the jumbo sweet potato fries with BBQ flavor. Fries were great. BBQ flavor was good. It's funny they make a 'snowcone' with the paper so all the fries are on top of the bowl. It makes it seem like you get a lot but in actuality its just sitting on top of the cup. I thought i was gonna spill but it held up well with only a couple casualties. One thing that I really liked was their hot sauce. Perfect dipping companion. We ordered the regular sized (Mega) Original fries and chose Cheddar and Sour Cream & Onion as a topping. Didn't wait too long! The cheddar topping overpowered the sour cream & onion too much. The texture is nice and crisp while the seasoning is flavorful, I've never tasted something like it elsewhere. The wings were pretty solid themselves however them shits were drowning in seasonings. Were these the best tater tots I ever had? No. They're still pretty tasty. A sign of a great tater tots is if they have the crunchiness as McDonald's hash browns. I use to go here all the time when I worked near the mall. I would usually get tater tots or Jojo chips with some combo of garlic & parmesan, chili BBQ, and sour cream & onion powder. The fries themselves were always good but the most recent time I went (1-2 weeks ago), the jojo chips were severely undercooked and wet. I'm not sure if it was because of that one worker who was making it or if the quality went downhill (which I hope isn't the case since I always go here when I visit this mall xD). In terms of the flavors, it's good but sometimes the powder is not distributed evenly or there's too much the fries become salty.
