Another fabulous addition to water street! I have been to Predalina twice for lunch and really want to explore their dinner menu since it has a wider variety of options. For lunch - I think they have a great menu with options that are lunch appropriate but still elevated and stay in line with the Mediterranean theme. The restaurant decor is just next level. The food was so delicious, I had the spicy chicken sandwhich and it was so good and very flavorful. I love their truffle fries. Our waiter recommended an amazing mocktail and the aesthetic was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back to enjoy good food and great service. read more

We went there on a weekday, the bar was packed, so we sat in a booth next to the bar, we were told that there's no happy hour at the booth only if you sit at the bar, that was a bit disappointing, our waiter Omar was fantastic, food was a bit disappointing, we ordered the combination of hummus, artichoke dip and feta dish dip, came with some cut up carrots, cucumbers, and celery, that was obviously cut early that day, and was kind of dry, too much garlic in the hummus, we also had the deep fried Moroccan meatballs, 3 meatballs for each order, that was deep fried, if I knew they were deep fried, I would never order them, lots of spices in the moroccan meatballs, we also had the octopus that was good, with a couple of drinks, which was fine, the ambience is very beautiful and the service (Omar) was exceptional, we need to get back there and try some other dishes. The ambience is great and the food quality is at par with the pricing. We ordered the snapper and the chicken kebab and a side of whipped potatoes. Everything was delicious, especially the potatoes. However, I felt rushed when the server brought us the dessert menu while we weren't even finished yet with our entrees and the same happened when the server brought the check while we weren't even finished just starting our dessert. I have found a few of the new restaurants on Water St to be over-hyped and a little disappointing. But Predalina did not disappoint. One of the most complex Avocado Toasts I've had outside of L.A., I will definitely be dreaming about this. And the truffle honey with cherry was a beautiful pairing on the Saganaki. Gorgeous design, and atmosphere. The main dinning room feels overly crowded with the tables down the middle and makes it awkward for dinners and those traveling through the very narrow walkway to the washrooms. Service: while everyone was really nice, service was lacking. Our server was not very knowledgeable, and inattentive. She spilt a drink on our table, and when it came to pay for the bill, I put down cash. Leaving a 20-25% tip I would still be due change. As she dropped everyone's cards back, she asked me if I wanted change because she was still waiting on it- but proceeded to cut me off and repeat if I wanted change. It was super uncomfortable and awkward. Whenever the changes is more than 20% you dont ask, you just bring. I don't have problem with leaving a generous tip- when it's warranted. The ambiance of Predalina is amazing but the prices and the food don't mesh. The chicken kebab is one single kebab and a few pieces of pita for $36. All the wine is insanely priced. I get Tampa is trying to be bougie now but it's not manhattan. It looked liked the best food and deals were only to be had if you sit at the bar. I was sitting in a booth right behind the bar and paid $18 for a martini I could have gotten for $10 at the bar. read more

We started with octopus which was tasty but a very tiny portion tiny pieces of tentacles, a mere morsels, which bordered on rubbery . Honestly, the food and drink were not memorable. Spiced and seasoned well but I had an issue with the quality of the meat you had high end waygu kebabs and low end flank steak which could be fine but mine was chewy and not very palatable. Also, special drink was a take on an old fashioned which was not smooth and had a harsh burning taste,not subtle. I ordered a plain burger, it came out with pickles so I sent it back. Server came back within seconds saying the kitchen was already making a burger for someone else and that I was in luck! We came here once last year and had a great server and delicious food. We loved our first experience so much so that we decided to come back a few months later to celebrate my dad's birthday here. We had a reservation that we were late to by 10 minutes due to traffic. Due to "the weather being so nice, tables were not leaving in a timely manner" and so we were not seated for 75 minutes!!! after our original reservation. Our parking was not free and we kept having to add time to the parking, which was an unplanned expense. What was most disappointing about this experience was that the hostesses were pretty rude to us about their extreme delay and never apologized. I work in the service industry and at the very least we expected a a manager come out to speak to us or to comp my dad's birthday drink or dessert. None of that happened. So instead, we were left to decide if we wanted to keep waiting or to risk going elsewhere without a reservation on a Friday night. The food is really good, but for how expensive Predalina is, I would expect higher quality service. FYI, they do not do anything special for birthdays let alone for delayed over an hour when they overbooked tables. read more

I had an excellent meal here for date night recently and It was top notch. The service from Christiana was on point and the octopus, grilled cauliflower, and zucchini chips starters deliver. I could dream about the whipped feta...I think...cheese that the zucchini chips are served with. The drizzle of grilled lemon on it makes it one of the top appetizers in Tampa that I've run across. My kebab skewer was perfectly cooked and my wife loved her fish. We skipped out on dessert and opted for a Harissa cocktail instead--excellent drink that I would certainly order again. I have been to Predalina twice now. Both times with a reservation, and both times had to wait for a table while the restaurant was fairly empty. On my second visit we had requested an outside table for a party of 6. The day before a few others wanted to join so my friend made another reservation and called to see if we could be seated together outside. She was assured it wouldn't be a problem. When we showed up there was no record of her call or reservation, despite her having the confirmation and a record of the call. The people working the hostess stand seemed to be bothered when we asked for what was booked. After 15 minutes or so we were sat inside. On both visits the waitstaff was friendly. The crudités and pita was excellent. A must get in my opinion. Another highlight was the saganaki. Overall all of the food was great! The salmon flatbread at brunch was a little disappointing, but not bad. I would just choose something different next time. The cocktails were delicious and very pretty. I also really enjoyed the appetizers. The saganaki is a must have - such a delicious treat with the honey and crispy phyllo between yummy cheese. The crudite and pita was also amazing, all of the dips were divine and the pita was fresh and buttery. The entrees is where they lost us. Two people in my party got the blue crab pasta which barely had any crab and tasted like nothing more than butter noodles. I ordered the snapper, which sounded great and looks stunning, but was also very bland. The fish was cooked nicely, but both the fish and the broth were lacking in flavor. It tasted like a plain steamed fish soup. Someone else in my party got the salmon which they said was good, but nothing they haven't had before. The flank steak seemed to be the favorite in our group. For sides we loved the mushrooms and fries. The zucchini was flavorful, but very watery. Overall, the food is overpriced for what you're getting. I don't mind paying these prices for excellent food, but it just wasn't as good as I hoped. Would probably go back for drinks and apps only next time. read more

Getting a reservation was challenging. If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours you will be charged $25. They also send you a lot of reminders about your reservation the day of which is kind of annoying. Once I got there I was surprised to find the dining room empty. I ordered the mushroom flatbread and the potato stroma. The stroma was probably the best thing I ate that night. I'd highly recommend you try it if you're dining here. The decor is minimal and the staff was friendly, but the push for reservations, especially when the restaurant wasn't full to capacity was a bit maddening. read more

As they just opened, I would give them another few weeks to work out all of the nuances. A few of our dishes came out lukewarm at best. Flavors are there, they just need a little time Our server was enthusiastic, which made up for her forgetting to give us silver ware twice after clearing the table (easy fix). Wow. This place was great.! I don't have a complaint with anything I ordered. The crudete is a must! The whipped feta and the hummus, YUM! Ask for extra pita cause you'll need it. I also had the dumplings which was 100/10!! The sauce on the plate was amazing! I got the steak with the whipped potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. Amazing. Only note was that the Brussels sprouts were maybe too charred, that it caused a bitter taste, but other pieces were amazing!! It's nice having a parking garage close by that's about $2/hr. The ambiance and service were great on my recent visit for brunch. Getting a prime-time reservation is a bit difficult right now, but brunch reservations seem easier to come by. Most of the seating is outdoors so prepare to sweat during these hot summer months. Our server was great throughout our meal and had anything we needed out very quickly. The baklava appetizer was amazing and one of the best versions of this dish I have ever had. The Super Simple I ordered for my entree was average at best. There was way too much htipiti (the red pepper/feta sauce) on the sandwich making it very messy and overtaking the eggs and bacon. I was only able to eat half given how messy and overbearing the taste was. I'm waiting to have dinner here at some point and maybe that will change my mind on this place in the future. read more

We had several appetizers - saganaki, crudite & pita and the manti. All were very delicious! For my entree I chose the Blue Crab Chitarra (pasta), which was heavenly.
