Truthfully the food overall was just okay. I will admit that I was THAT person that ordered fish at a steakhouse but I feel in 2023 most people have decent salmon. I specifically asked the server to cook my salmon rare (I believe that I said I would like it "as rare as they will allow me to eat it") and it was very over cooked. Like it made a plunking sound when I lightly tapped it with my fork. I could have sent it back but frankly we were very hungry and I didn't want to wait. My husband ordered a medium rare filet and the cook was fine but he said there was no char on the outside at all. And we all know you need that Maillard reaction for the flavor. The salad was good though very heavy on the dressing, that can be chalked up a bit to personal preference. The sides were hit or miss: the risotto was delicious with the crispy pancetta and the Brussels were solid but not noteworthy. The jalapeño potatoes an gratin were so undercooked the potatoes were hard. Desserts were in the same vein. The brown butter cake was fantastic, the carrot cake fine but not exceptional, and the cookie was again very undercooked. Like it was like eating warm cookie dough. I know it said half baked cookie on the menu but there was NO crisp, even on the sides. For $300 worth of food for four of us it was not meeting expectations. That being said our server was excellent. He was prompt, jovial, and knowledgeable. Plus we got a good bottle of wine so that always makes the evening better. APPETIZERS: We moved on to the appetizers with Calamari and the Waygu tacos. Those little tacos were filled with flavor! The Calamari has red bell pepper and the presentation and taste were great. ENTREE: We then moved on to dinner. Tableside preparation of the steak with the Farbuckle filet, two had the Delmonico Ribeyes, and one was celebrating Lent, so went with the Salmon. Overall, no one had a single complaint. The steaks were cooked wonderfully, and my ribeye was filled with flavor. I did get it Oscar style and it took away from the meat flavor adding on the crab, but nothing to do with the restaurant, just my preference for the future. DESSERT: I moved on to dessert, and I did remember to get some pictures of that! The brown butter cake was to die for! The cookie comes out piping hot and the carrot cake is so moist! We saw the cotton candy appetizer go by and it was fun to watch. Sorry, I did not get a picture of it! Blinking lights and at last 3 feet tall! SERVICE: We had a great night, and the manager kept checking on the table, and we felt like royalty even with the restaurant full. Our waiter was fun and attentive. The food was excellent! We got the seared blackened tuna as an appetizer. For our entree I had the Steak 47 and my husband had the Ahi Tuna & Wagyu Beef. The entree includes a soup or a salad. My husband had the house salad and I got the tomato soup. The soup was delicious - it was creamy and spicy. They also brought out freshly baked bread. Since it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary dessert which was so good. They also gave us a gift card to use on a future visit. Well worth the money to celebrate special occasions. I'll go there from time to time to get a good coctail and might have some bar bites if I'm feeling like a little, or I might order filet if I want something more substantial. Full menu with exactly what you'd expect to find at a high-end steak place, and the prices are in line with what you get. The place is crouded and lively especially on nights where they have live music. Friday or Saturday? Make a reservation. Valet parking is free but there is also plenty of parking around. We celebrated 18 years married tonight at the same place we have had our celebratory dinner for the last 4 years. Service is always on point, Brennon was our main server, and Janis helped with food and more. Easter Brunch buffet at Prime47 was delicious but super crowded. Perhaps, they overbooked the reservations, or allowed way too many people. We had a group of 4 and made reservations, thankfully. The buffet line was super long at 11:45am. The food quality and temperature was perfect. I loved all the gluten-free options! Thank you for that. The coffee was located at the entrance of the buffet line, please move this! This was not a good idea. Also, please have 2 coffee carafes, with so many people and they ran out of coffee and, I had to wait for the coffee in the middle of the buffet line, very uncomfortable. Some people thought you had to wait in the long buffet line for the dessert table. The dessert table was located in the middle of the buffet. Perhaps, move this to another location to allow the flow of people ? The line buffet line seemed to lessen around 1pm. So, I recommend not coming until after 12:30, unless you are okay waiting in a long buffet line. Nice place for a fancy dinner. We went here especially because they serve Creekstone Halal steaks. Great presentation and atmosphere with light live music and candle-light tables (with light up menus!). Recommend reserving ahead on weekend nights. The Lobster Mac and Cheese and Creamy Spicy Crab Chip appetizers were fantastic. We also really enjoyed the Prime 47 platter mix. The Wagyu Kobe was soft and tender as you'd expect. The brownie with ice cream was maybe my favorite part - melt in your mouth kinda brownie with such a great flavor. We devoured it even after all the rich food. Four stars because the service was subpar for such a nice restaurant. It took a long time for someone to even get our appetizer order. Then we were done with appetizers and sitting for a while before we finally stopped the server ourselves to ask to get our dinner order. Plans were initially made for us to celebrate my birthday at Ruth's Chris but my friend thought the menu at Prime 47 was much better so she switched our reservations and I'm SO glad she did! We had a ball!!! They were really busy on a Friday night but they were very apologetic and accommodating. I'll take great customer service over inconvenience any day. So many times as customers we complain but never compliment great service and I really make it a point to do that especially during these times. I've been here before but this time was different. Everything we had was really good especially our main courses. The bone in steak was tender and you could cut it with a butter knife! It's worth EVERY freakin' penny! My scallop was the best I've EVER had and that's saying a lot. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned in a way where it didn't overpower the flavor of the fresh scallop. I never had calamari with such flavor. The appetizer had peppers and a sauce with great flavor to it. My friend hates calamari but she enjoyed that dish. That's saying a lot. To be fair the lobster Mac and cheese was good but it could've had more lobster in it. I'm not a huge cheese sauce fan but it was much better when I ate it the next day. We had never been but had tried the Lamb Lollipops at an event and my husband LOVED them so this has been on our list for a while. They took us to our table right away (I always hate having to wait when I have a reservation). All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and our server was great. They were very attentive to clear dirty dishes and make sure we didn't need anything else. We both ordered the Prime Old Fashioned and it was fantastic. The server recommended the Calamari as a starter and it was the most unique Calamari I've ever had. If you're generally a fan, it's a must order. For our meals, we both ordered the Filet, house salads and an order of Lobster Mac & Cheese to share. Everything was exceptional. We'll definitely be back for the Lamb Lollipops :) The vibe was cool. It's definitely a nice restaurant but they had live music in the bar so it still felt down to earth. The only odd thing was that they had exposed buss stations with extra plates, silverware, etc in the main dining room. We went to Prime 47 for my wife's birthday and they did a fabulous job. I made the reservations on Open Table and indicated it we were celebrating her birthday. When we arrived, the hostess told her Happy Birthday. We were seated promptly at a reserved table. The menu on the table was personalized with her name. I ordered the 14oz New York Strip Steak for $46 and my wife ordered the Filet Trio for $38. Her Trio consisted on 3 beef tenderloin medallions. One had crab Oscar, one had a horseradish blue cheese and the third had a brandy peppercorn sauce. Our steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them and our server came to the table soon after they were served with a flashlight to check that they were cooked to our liking. They were wonderful and my wife said the one with peppercorn sauce filet "melted in her mouth". The entrée came with choice of soup or salad and fresh hot bread. We both ordered the salad and the greens were a good quality mixed green blend. This is a place where the sides are large and shareable. They range in price from $7.50 to $18 each, with the average around $11. However, they have a great menu option that I have not seen in a lot of other places. They have an option to get 3 sides for $15 or 4 sides for $18. These sampler sides come in individual dishes and easily feed 2 or 3 people. We ordered the 4 side sampler with truffle mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, forest mushrooms and steamed broccoli. We had both steak and sides left over to take home for the next day. The restaurant appears to be remodeled since we were visited. It is no longer so dark. We were seated in a separate lighter and more elegant room. There was live music in the bar area. It was nice that we could still hear it in the room where we were dining but it was not overpowering loud. It provided nice background music while still allowing us to talk. My wife went to the restroom while we were there and said the lady's room was very nice, with complementary items such as mouth wash, mints, etc. We had two servers, our regular server and an assistant. Both were very attentive. The food was served within a reasonable amount of time and was hot. Our water glasses were always kept full. Our service was attentive but not overly intrusive so as to disrupt our birthday celebration. Some of the reviews mentioned poor or slow service during Devour Indy. We did not experience this at all. We went on a weekend night and the restaurant was full but not packed. We were very pleased with the service. As an added surprise, when the meal was over, they brought my wife a complementary large hot chocolate chip cook with ice cream and chocolate sauce. It made a very nice end to a very pleasant meal. When we left, the hostess again told my wife Happy Birthday. They went out of their way to make our celebration special. read more

Went to prime 47 for the first time on Christmas Eve. Me and my family rarely go to steakhouses because we like to think we can cook the best steaks at home. Shortly after arriving we were very pleased with our decision. We were taken to our table in the beginning where we were given light up menus. Something that we've never seen before and a really needed touch to the dimly lit dining room. The vibe was very nice and inviting. We were served by Olaf who was absolutely fantastic. He made us feel like the money that was spent was worth it, as he added so much to our experience. We ordered the seared ahi tuna and calamari for appetizer and they were amazing. The ahi tuna was a smaller portion but very high quality. The calamari was some of the best I've had. I ordered the NY strip which was a great idea as I usually like a little more body to my pieces of meat but didn't want to go with the fattier ribeye. I got truffle butter ontop of my steak - they come table-side with a blowtorch to melt it down. For sides we ordered the lobster Mac, fries, and asparagus with hollandaise. The fries were amazing but the lobster Mac could've used a little more lobster, still very tasty. Asparagus seems a little undercooked and was the only average piece of the whole dinner.
