Hubby and I were curious about Prime Pizza since their location in El Segundo has had a fair share of restaurants that have come and gone. I definitely know the reason why their parking lot is usually full. Their pizzas are absolutely DELICIOUS! You must order the spicy pepperoni (my fave) and the meat lovers pizzas! It has been awhile since I wanted to devour the crust on a pizza before the actual toppings. Yeah, that good:) The chopped salad, lemon pepper wings, and garlic knots were equally as delicious. Awesome Pizza...cheese, pepperoni and the right amount of greezy good! Had the Pepperoni pie and it's fantastic! Small pepperonis that hold their oil when cooked...brings the flavor! Great thinner crust with good char (in parts). Great amount of cheese....more than you need but def not too much...and a great taste of creamy and a little salt. LOVE the fresh Basil sprinkled on top....nice touch!! I think they're still getting their feet under them at this location...4 Stars for now. We were given :60 minutes for pickup and it was more like 1:20 minutes and half of the crust was not as cooked as the other half. Had the MEAT LOVERS square pizza. I added mushroom to half of the pizza. The pizza was great. Great tasting sauce, and you can taste all the individual meats, nothing over powers anything , very very well rounded flavors. The mushroom's are bigger than most pizza places and have a good mushroom taste. Can't go without the ranch to dip, nice, creamy and very tasty homemade ranch. I can imagine it's tough to fine good help on the weekends. So I'm giving 4 stars. We've had great pizza when we ordered a pie for pick-up and had DoorDash deliver. Especially grandma's sauce. But they do burn the crust sometimes which I've read in other reviews. Ownership needs to reconsider the salads. Not a good offering/compliment to good pizza. Lastly, we won't order slices or dine-in again. No service, no fun vibe and slices weren't as good as a fresh pie. Neutral review here - to start, the pizza was pretty good but the process was the issue. We called in an order at 5:27p with a quoted pick up time of 6:25p. We arrived just under 10 minutes early expecting to wait, but there was no ticket created for our order, nor were the pizzas ready. We were asked to hang out and we would be notified when the pizzas were done as they were working on the order. At this point there were four other people waiting. Fast forward to 6:50p, there's probably 20 people waiting, our order comes up (I assume that the ticket was never created and they started making it when we got there). Our order was finally called, when we grabbed the pizzas there was no apology or cause for concern it seemed. I was directed toward the register, paid and left. Almost 90 minutes from call to pick up. We were spoken to once during our wait, and assured that we haven't been forgotten about, which I appreciate. Given that this location just opened, a bit of confusion can be expected. For $58+tip for two pies, I'd probably go back for the lunch slice deal but the experience somewhat led me to not want to order whole pizzas again, at least until things are ironed out. read more

I'm a big fan of Prime pizza. Prior to covid I would frequent the Fairfax location after a night of drinking at the dime and it was one of my favorite pizza places in LA. I work in El Segundo so I was super excited to hear they were opening a location nearby. I have picked up food for my employees and everytime the pie gets rave reviews. I've tried their pastas and sandwiches and they were ok but personally I'll just go with the pizza. Something to note is they do offer individual slices so if you're thinking about trying it's good to know you don't have to commit to a whole pizza. You can also get half/half pizzas which I thought was cool for trying different types at once. I have ordered a few times online and when I arrived at the ETA time my food wasn't ready but then again I'm usually ordering during peak lunch hours so that's understandable. Service has always been good whenever I visited and they are definitely working hard to pump out orders. The restaurant has a dining area but its get packed during lunchtime so I usually just take mine back to the office. Prime is a welcomed addition to the El Segundo good community and I would say at the very least come in a try a slice to form your own opinion. read more

So, what would you do? A pizza went out to a customer and they returned 5 to 10 later stating they got the wrong order....The staff fixed it and pulled the correct pizza from the warmer. They then proceeded to place the returned pizza back into the warmer for the correct customer who walked in 3 minutes later...I would think if food went out and was returned, it would be reserved. Isn't that a health code violation? If they do that, what else do they do with their food. I don't think I'll be eating here again. read more

I've been here maybe a dozen times now. This is organized as a by-the-slice restaurant, but they also sell full pies. There are always both round and square styles available. The squares of pan pizza aren't Detroit style, but similar. The round pies aren't New York or Naples, but they're kind of in between. The pizzas are delicious, with crispy crust under a perfect soft, slightly chewy bread, under rich, flavorful sauce, under lightly browned cheese and savory toppings. I like all of the choices on the limited menu, but my favorites are the spicy pepperoni and the white pie. The service is excellent, prompt, cheerful, and helpful. I've been helped by several people and all were very good. I opened Yelp to update my previous review, but I can't see it anymore. The food has improved since my first visit, especially the crust of the round pies. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. We placed an order for four (4) individual lunch meals for our office. When we were on our way to pick up the order, we received a text saying the order was ready. When we got there, the order was not ready and, instead of putting the pizza for each meal in individual boxes, they put all of the pizza in one box. When I told the employee helping us that the pizza needed to be in individual boxes because they were individual lunch meals for 4 different people, he got an attitude, as did other employees he was complaining to when he was putting the pizza in individual boxes. We get back to the office, distribute the meals, and started to eat, but the food is AWFUL. Hardly any cheese on the pizza, which was paper thin, cold and tasted like nothing except the flour from the crust. The salads were plain and bland even with the Italian dressing. Costco pizza is far better than this place, especially for the money they charge. Absolutely awful. Will never go there again. read more

I've never met a pizza I didn't like and Prime is a welcome addition to the area for two reasons... their pizzas are unique and the restaurant is an actual pizzeria where you can comfortably dine-in. Not huge but a chill ambiance. I've tried them twice thus far: once for delivery and once to pickup a couple of slices. And yes, you can pickup slices on a Saturday evening as I did a couple days ago. Enjoy a beer while you're waiting if that's your thing too. I prefer vegetarian pizzas these days and their square slices are a must. When I swung by the other day the service was super helpful. Really nice young lady helping me make the important pizza decisions. Appreciated that. Going to try their wings on a future cheat day SOON. Will report back. read more

The Sicilian and spicy pepperoni were my two favorites. My boyfriend liked the regular pepperoni slice and my sister liked the white garlic pizza. Service was quick. Gluten free pizza! Gluten free pizza! Actually DELICIOUS gluten free pizza! I had the grandma pizza and the dough was so fluffy and I couldn't even tell it was gluten free. We called the restaurant ahead of time and turns out they have separate pans for their GF pizzas and as someone with celiac this is rare for a pizza joint, and so appreciated!
