Jeremy was very busy but still managed to give us amazing and attentive service, always came by to make sure we had everything we needed. Kevin kept us entertained the entire time, from the magic tricks to his impersonations, he was hilarious! You can just tell that all the employees get along and have fun. TL:DR First things first. If you are in a hurry don't come to Pyramid Cafe. You get seated quickly, the service is slow to order, receive food and pay. After looking at some food pics for Pyramid Cafe I thought it would be a great option to have breakfast one of the days during the trip. My friends were in a hurry to leave so we decided to stick around the hotel and eat at a local area. We got seated very fast. While browsing the menu we were helped by three different staff members. Our server gave us a min to make our decision. When he came back he needed a pen. It took about 5 mins for him to return. Then he gave us a story on why he couldn't find a pen. When he did come back he still didn't have a pen and needed to borrow another server's pen. lol We finally ordered our food and patiently waited. While waiting I was people watching. Noticed a lot of customers without their food. Saw some people get served and they quickly left. Didn't pay no mind about it but after our experience they were probably in the same scenario. Get the quick local meal and get out. I saw some customers order after us and got their food before us. Some people were sitting patiently waiting for their food or checks. After all the observations I told my group, "we're probably going to be here for a while". A lot of time has passed and we got our food. I ordered the Avocado toast. I didn't know it would be two toasts which is pretty good but became a lot of food. The toast also came with some egg which was great. The toast on the other hand was toasted on a pan with butter. It made the bread pretty slick and wet. Ended up eating it with a fork. Since it was drenched in its own goodness I decided just to eat the toppings and used one of my friend's side toast as my bottom. Other than the extremely soggy toast, there were a couple more things I didn't enjoy about the dish. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled and they added them to the top of the toast. I guess I preferred them to be a side dish but I had no idea how it would be presented. Lastly the avocado was turned into a guacamole. I would prefer my avocado toast to have slices of avocado rather than a mash. Either way, the first experience wasn't the best. The omelette was perfectly cooked, the bacon, however, was a good bit overdone (and I like my bacon crispy...). Also the hash browns were quite greasy. The Pyramid Cafe is located in the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. One of the older hotels on the strip. Shoot, I remember going to the Luxor 30 years ago and going to this same cafe. I don't recall if it has always been the Pyramid Cafe, but this is the location. The Food here is actually pretty decent. It's nothing to write home about, but it has a classic cafe, home cooking kind of style. The Ambiance is just what you would expect from an old-school Vegas cafe. It has that carpet... you know... The seating is basically a ton of 4 top tables surrounded on the perimeter by a bunch of teal booths. The Staff and Service here are amazing!!! They are on their "A" game! When someone finally came over, she quickly asked if we wanted drinks. We let her know we were ready to order, but she said someone else would come take our order. We were brought water, but the person responsible for taking orders never came. I eventually walked up to him, and he saw me approaching, then deliberately turned and walked the other way to avoid me. I followed and asked politely if he was the one taking our orders. He cut me off, said "yeah yeah" while pointing to other tables, and blurted out, "I have all these customers, I can't help you!" before rushing off again. If he had simply said he'd be with us after taking care of the other tables, I would have completely understood. I don't expect instant service, especially when a place is busy, but I do expect basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking here. We left without ordering. However, if you happen to see a sign that reads, 'Exit,' you might want to go that way instead. But not all is bad here. The big salad thing I got (not called 'The Big Salad Thing' on the menu,) was pretty good. Maybe it was the superb balsamic vinaigrette dressing. But the salad itself tasted fresh as well. Loved the vintage atmosphere of this cafe. Reminded me like something out of the movie 'Casino'(think blueberry muffin scene). Getting more rare to find an authentic looking vintage spot with all the new, fancy as well as expensive places to dine at. I had breakfast and thought the food was good, but a bit on the lukewarm side, which was kind of surprising since the order came out almost as fast as I placed it. It is cheap and the portions are most definitely enough. Especially enjoyed the extra thick waffles. I also liked that they leave you a carafe' of coffee, which is enough for at least four cups, so you don't have to keep asking for a refill. Sad that they are only open until 2:00pm. Only serves breakfast and brunch. I believe this is where room service is delivered from and I remember my room specifying that room service is only served until two in the afternoon, which is a shame. On your last night in Vegas, if you have an early flight home the next day, it's a shame you can't stay in your room and have dinner brought up to you. The Cafe' is a fairly big area and it's a shame to see it dark for so many hours until it opens again in the morning. Seems like a waste of space and should be open for dinner.
