We visited our local Reno Qdoba to place an order to bring home. We ordered two identical chicken quesadillas with sides of guacamole, sour cream, and pico, plus an order of chips n queso. Our receipt showed we had ordered two steak quesadillas, so our order wasn't even rung up correctly. When we returned home, one quesadilla had no sides included. In addition to that, the tortilla was very dry and the queso quite watery. To further add to our disappointing visit, your checker did not apply my rewards. To start I will be objective. I have gone to this specific Qdoba location 3 times over the past two months. Each and every time I have been disappointed. The staff acts as if I'm in the wrong to be ordering and has had explicit conversations with each other whilst taking my order. They have rolled their eyes at the people in front of me for asking for extra rice, but in reality, they just wanted the right portion. This leads to my next issue, the portion sizes they give you is absurd. I usually ask for just one portion of rice and beans for my order -- well at this specific location, I have to ask for double to get close to 1 portion size. My bowl was not even 3/5 full at the end after I asked for double rice and beans in attempt to correct their lack of care. Also, when I asked for double beans, the worker loudly sighed and gave even less than they did on their first "scoop." From both my experience and the posted experience of others here, this is not an uncommon event. It seems as if my issues are the most common as well: impolite staff and exorbitantly small portion sizes. So if you're considering getting food on McCarran, it'd be best utilized at the McDonald's, subway, carls junior or any other establishment. read more

While in Reno, we decided to stop and eat at QDOBA. it is set up very similar to a Chipotle or Costa Vida. The location was open and bright. The staff was helpful and the line went quickly. I got a pulled pork burrito and my kids both got bowl (steak and veggie). We ordered chips and salsa (both were delish). And my daughter got a chocolate chunk cookie for dessert. i recently came to the qdoba on mae ann and had a horrible experience. i ordered double chicken and got baby scoops. when i asked for a little more the worker gave me so much attitude i felt uncomfortable. she was rolling her eyes at me as well. my boyfriend also received horrible experience. if i'm paying $30 for food id rather go to chipotle. at least their customer service was better. i've gone here before and never had any issues. i will not be coming back. qdoba do better read more

I usually don't have any issues with Qdoba when I go in there to order or pick up my order, but today I decided to have my food delivered because I couldn't pick it up. I ordered two chicken burritos with corn salsa and habanero salsa. The main difference between both was I had ordered one with sour cream & queso and the other one without sour cream or queso sauce. Within my first couple of bites, I didn't taste any chicken. So I opened up my burrito and noticed it did not have any chicken at all in it. I immediately called Qdoba and they did apologized for the error on their part. They immediately offered to make me a new one and have it ready for me. Unfortunately I was not able to pick up, hence why I had it delivered in the first place. But they were nice enough to take down my information and offer me a burrito or free entree next time I'm available or go into their location. This Qdoba location is the closest to my house, so it is the location I come to the most. Sometimes I have a 5 star experience here, other times it is more like 3 stars. I always order chicken nachos with all the same toppings. I am a regular here and come at least once every 1-2 weeks, always ordering the same thing. Don't forget that guacamole is always free here unlike most other places! I use the app to scan my order for rewards prior to check out. You get a generous serving size with all of the entrees. The amount of toppings you get really depends on who is working though. Some of the employees give the right amount, others do not. There was a time that I asked for more chips at the base of my nachos because the lady clearly put in way less chips than usual. She said that since I was ordering the nachos togo instead of dine-in, they give you less chips. I told her I have never heard that before and that everyone else always gives me the same amount regardless. She then proceeded to add more chips, but then at the end charged me for my nachos PLUS a side of chips (like what usually comes in a separate bag when you order chips + queso)! She was very rude to me and I probably would have given that experience 1-2 stars. However, I come here often and have had pretty good experiences overall during the other times. *Disclaimer: My company catered Qdoba for our annual refresher training. So this review pertains to only the food. Due to that, this review won't be very long. In a word, it wasn't bad. For Mexican fast casual, Chipotle is my go to, normally. The fact it was provided by the company and thus, free, is what made this a three star review. Otherwise, I probably would've went with a two. I won't hold the fact that the food wasn't fresh against them. One of our office personnel had to go to Reno to pick it and then haul it back over to Lovelock. Given that it was still mostly warm is more of a testament to how fast our guy was driving than the restaurant itself. Bottom line, Chipotle is superior, in my opinion. I saw that this Qdoba sits in a neighborhood of Reno I know, and where there are big retail and fast food clusters north of I-80 along McCarran West. You can call it strip mall hell or tidy suburbia. That part is up to you. Over the years, I have noticed a pattern. When I go to Qdoba, I am always very satisfied with what I get. When I go to Chipotle, what I get tends to register as just okay. (I suppose a person can have analogous experiences with Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's, or the various chain pizza joints.) That said, a Qdoba would probably start with 4 stars in my book. I went in to get a burrito, which was nicely stuffed for me with the ingredients I chose, and everything about it was tasty. A chicken or steak burrito is what I always get at either of these two Mexican chains. Needless to say, it was filling and, since I may have skipped dinner, provided a good value. But, above and beyond that, this store in NW Reno had very courteous employees (a good thing in a town with a heavy duty "been around the block" Bonnie Raitt-like veneer), a spotless and airy dining room, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, and air conditioning that worked like a charm. So, while most Qdoba stores would start with 4 stars, this one proved to be a notch above and worthy of 5 stars. I normally come here for my Qdoba needs and never really had any issues. But today, we decided to go for dinner and it wasn't too busy. But their food lineup was a mess...rice everywhere, ingredients in containers mixed with other stuff. It was really messy, plus they did not have any black beans and barely any meat. There were about 6 or 7 people standing shoulders to shoulders on the assembly line and it was just chaotic. For food, we were incredibly disappointed. I got maybe like 10 pieces of pinto beans...yes pieces so minimal. The steak they put on there was a quarter of the scoop, which is not normal. I said something and they claim it's what they normally serve. My hubby got tacos that were 5% meat and 95% lettuce...his other taco was just the watery shreds of meat at the very bottom of the container. The plate was so light, it felt like air + lettuce only. I guess that's what you get when all the staff there seem to be high schoolers. The manager even saw the little amount they put and just disregarded it. The lime bowl was empty as well, they had plenty of staff just standing around and could have refilled this. Very poor customer service and horrible proportion on food. I don't normally rate this low, but it was just bad experience. We were shocked that the lady manager did not even acknowledge this either as we expressed how upset we were by the amount of food. read more

In a frantic panic I called (practically crying) let them know my sitch and they quickly let me know they had retrieved it FROM THE OUTSIDE DINING TABLE! If you've ever accidentally left your belongings somewhere and magically are able to get them back, you know that wave a relief is REAL and powerful! Had lunch at Qdoba today while we were in Reno. It's a chipotle-like concept where you can choose your own bowl or burrito. Unlike chipotle, a scoop of guacamole is included with options for a spicy queso which was a nice touch. The restaurant was clean with few tables outside as well. read more

Qdoba on Disc Drive in Sparks has pretty good food and you can get a margarita. Bring your own Tequila if you like it a little stronger.

They should close this location for customer visits as the staff is more focused on online orders then servicing customer visiting the store directly. When stopping at this location to grab some food to go on the way home, they pulled 10 online orders while we stood at the front ready to order following the person whom ordered ahead of us. The reps do not listen as you can tell they're more comfortable following listed orders from online than customer interactions. If you tell them "no" in regards to a listed topping off the menu they proceed to add it anyways. Very apparent the employees are in a hurry to complete orders, don't care about working there nor care about the customers visiting the establishment. Would recommend visiting any QDoba location other than this site, as the staff is there purely for the paycheck (which I understand) but the service is severely lacking. Would highly recommend additional training for the staff in regards to listening skills. Otherwise, close the doors to cx visits and desígnate the location to online orders only with in store pickup. Never heard of this place never tried this place. Walked in ordered my food got the chicken protein bowl with no lettuce. As I was looking over the counter they were putting in lettuce into the bowl. I asked the lady to not put any lettuce I ordered it with no lettuce. She said I will just take out the lettuce so she started picking out the lettuce. I told her that was not going to work could you please make me a fresh bowl. She did so drove the food home and started to eat it. The chicken did not taste fresh it had a funny taste so I ate everything except the chicken. Nothing was fresh very soggy. I will not be returning to this establishment ever again. I'm a diehard Qdoba fan and have been coming to this specific location for a few years now. I've never had a single complaint. Service is wicked quick and served with a smile. If you have the app, they have a great rewards program and I end up with multiple free entrees and always discounted chips and queso thanks to my sheer level of dedication to their delicious food. You can also order your food ahead of time for easy pickup and due to Covid, they have a curbside option if you call in. I recently tried Qdoba for the first time, and ordered a vegetarian bowl. The associate gave one scoop of rice and one scoop of beans. Being that there was no meat on this order, I politely asked for a second scoop, only for the associate to respond, "I'm going to have to charge you extra for that." I fully understand and respect that every restaurant makes their own policies on serving size, however this particular meal left me hungry- for $10 a bowl nonetheless. This is my go-to place for fast, cheap Mexican food. The food is always fresh and the line to get your food made is usually quick. The nice thing is that you can ask for just about anything on your food, without an up charge. This means free guacamole, sour cream and all the other miscellaneous topping you want. I like that you can not only purchased ice tea and soda but also beer! Nothing like a nice cold Pacifico to go with my tacos. I love their Knock Out tacos especially the Mad Rancher and the Drunken Yardbird. On their website, you can sign up to be a member. Occasionally, they will send buy-one-get-one coupons sent to you and every 10 meals you buy with your membership card, you get a free entree.
