Decent boba spot with a small claw machine arcade inside. The spot has a chill, laid-back atmosphere with some small tables, so this place is good for small groups, but not so much for big groups. There are 2 self-order kiosks at the entrance, so ordering is quick and convenient. They have quite an extensive menu, including fruit teas, milk teas, cheese foam teas, matcha, yakult, blended drinks, coffee, sparkling drinks, fried snacks, and more. In addition, there are plenty of toppings to choose from. I usually get Hawaiian fruit green tea, roasted oolong milk tea, and crispy cheese balls. The sweetness and ice levels are customizable, which are always nice to have. Considering this is a boba shop chain, the quality of drinks here is solid. From my experience, service here is really fast, regardless of what time I am visiting. When my partner and I each order a drink, it feels as if our drinks are ready within the next minute. Since this shop is located in a very busy plaza, parking can be difficult to find during peak hours.

Stopped by R&B Tea in Rosemead and tried one of their seasonal drinks: matcha with coconut water. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the combination was surprisingly refreshing. The earthy matcha paired really well with the light sweetness of the coconut water, making it a great drink for a warm day. For toppings, I added the mango jelly stars and basil seeds. The mango jelly was fun because they are actually shaped like little stars, which made the drink extra cute. The jelly added a nice fruity flavor, while the basil seeds gave it a unique texture. If you're looking for something different from the usual milk tea, I definitely recommend giving this seasonal drink a try. Refreshing, not overly sweet, and perfect for matcha lovers.

Background On Visit: Wanted dessert after having a early dinner at Mr. Dragon Noodle house. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Order on self ordering kiosk or in person. Restroom: Available to use. Visitation Rights: Been to this location, but I've been to the Monterey Park location couple of times before. Location/Parking: Located in the small strip mall on the SW corner of Walnut Grove and Valley. Parking can be found in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Entertainment: They have some backdrops and props to take pictures with. Board games to play with your friends, and claw games to win prizes with, and street fighter arcade game. Service: Not much service besides receiving your drink after you order from the kiosk. Drink didn't take that long to come out. Drink Of Choice: I had their Hawaiian fruit with green tea drink. It was quite refreshing and included couple of watermelon pieces, orange, lime and lemon slice. I asked for 25% sweet. R&B Tea For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back try other drinks on the menu.

Was in the area and in major need of caffeine for my drive back so I ordered the Rose Oolong Milk Tea. It was Saturday around 5:30pm and wanted to order food, but the kitchen was closed. The service was fine and quick. The tea was pretty strong and it did its job. I got the drink unsweetened and the boba wasn't too sweet either. I liked the decor and the shop, especially the cute neon lights. There were toy machines so it felt like a cute little hang out.

Through plenty of visits, R&B Tea remains consistent with their drinks and food. This specific occasion, my wife was ordered me two drinks and their cheese balls as a late night snack. Drinks are just as good as always. Usually drinks/food are less delicious as this is a late night order, nearing the end of the batch/day but the drinks were spectacular. The cheese balls were something new that I've never tried so this was a nice experience as well. Perfect late night snack but certainly not the top choice of snack. Still highly recommend if you like food that's fun size.

My cousins and I went to R&B Tea after a bit of dinner next door on a Monday night. Most of the tables were filled when we went in. There are two screens for ordering, which made the ordering process pretty quick. I would say the drinks are pretty standard for a boba tea shop. The strawberry stormy was icy and refreshing. The Thai tea was a solid Thai milk tea. I ordered the matcha hazelnut because I think that's such a rare combo and was pleasantly surprised it worked together. They have a bunch of mini claw machines that provide a ton of entertainment. It's a dollar a token and we actually won twice (after spending $15 on tokens lol). I like the neon aesthetic of the decorations and the abundance of tables. The staff was really kind too.

MY FAV‍ Best boba place in the SGV area My aunt recommended me to this place for their Hawaiian Fruit Tea which comes in a bigger cup because there is real fruit inside. I love how they have a self ordering kiosk which is quick and efficient. They also have a large selection of drinks and toppings. The taste is consistent and price is reasonable too. This is the only place where I've seen real fruit in the fruit tea, which I think is awesome. I can't count how many times I've been here already and they close later too. read more

Ordered the popcorn chicken and went for mild. Would say to avoid if you cannot handle spciy. Also ordered a regular milk tea and was decent. Inside had a few tables for small hangouts. Stopped by after early dinner at Mr. Dragon Noodle House. Always gotta get boba after a meal, right? R&B Tea is in the same plaza as a bunch of other stores, so there's plenty of parking. There was no line when we got inside, I think you can order from either the kiosk or with the cashier (we ordered at the self-serve kiosk). Kiosk is cool - everything is really straight forward and easy to understand. You can order, pay, get your receipt, and you're good to go. Can't remember what I got, but they have everything you kinda look for in a boba shop at baseline: self-serve kiosk, lots of toppings, sugar/ice adjustment. They have lots of options, so there should be something for everyone! I went with two fruit teas this time, both tasted great. The toppings were delicious, too (herbal jelly, aloe vera). read more

4.5 stars, actually Their ordering system had a blunder, but the staff was able to rectify the situation right away. As a bonus, they comped us a couple free drinks for our troubles. We ordered the hazelnut matcha, rose oolong, and the taro milk tea. Just the right amount of sweetness and their crystal boba was very light with a good amount of chewiness. If we ever find ourselves on this side of the woods, we will definitely stop by again. read more

Established in 2006.

Bruce, the founder of R&B Tea, came to Suzhou, China in 2005. At that time, he was working in the IT industry. The heavy work load and high pressure constantly made Bruce think of and crave for delicious food and different beverages, especially the tea from his homeland, Taiwan. Despite going places and trying different types that were available, his cravings weren't satisfied because it was hard to find good quality milk tea in Suzhou then. Seeing this gap in the market led Bruce to identify an opportunity where he made a life-changing decision. Bruce decided to start a business by himself, offering various tea beverages concocted with ingredients of the highest quality. Through his perseverance and determination, the first tea outlet was opened in Suzhou in 2006. That's how and when the R&B Tea story began!

They have a regular option and a vegan option where they use oat milk. The default topping was the agar boba which I kept on my drink and enjoyed it. Flavor was really good, and though I got one of the lower sweetness percentages, it was still pretty sweet to me. The others didn't mind too much as they didn't find theirs overly sweet. Unsure if they made a batch of the same sweetness cause most of us did get half sweet, but the flavor was still really good. They have other drinks as well, which I'd love to try if I return here. I'd also love to try their signature Thai tea as well. There's seating here and the people that work here are nice as well. Our drinks came out quickly too. We chilled here for a bit to enjoy our drinks and to avoid the heat a lil, and had a blast.

I didn't like it because it's overly floral and it has the rice. Maybe I misread about the rice? But even so, the drink doesn't taste like a cloud latte. I got 50% sweetness and it tastes more like 75%. I think it's because the fermented rice is already sweetened. Service was good, I ordered ahead and picked up with no issues. The inside has some seating if you want to enjoy your drink inside. Outside, there are also some tables and benches if you prefer. Overall, the drink prices are pretty standard in today's market I'd say. The other drinks I've tried before include the osmanthus rice drink, black sesame slushy, mango pomelo, and the taro milk. Of the ones I have tried, maybe only the mango pomelo one is good. The rest are just okay. Unsure if I'd come back because there are other mango pomelo drinks out there that are better.

There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. It is a chain and they have stores in Little Saigon as well. This is a smaller boutique so they do not have everything that the OC locations have. My go to order is the number 21 which is the 3 color or che ba mau. It is a drink/dessert that has an assortment of beans, pandan jelly (banh lot), coconut milk and shaved ice. When you get the drink it will be in layers and you will have to stir it to mix it up. It is similar to halo halo but Vietnamese. The large goes for $6.50 which is not too bad considering Bambu used to be around $8-$9 when they existed in San Gabriel before. Also the large size is huge in comparison. You line up at the food court and you let the staff know what you want. After you pull off to the side and can pay with cash or card. There are plenty of seats at the food court so go find a table and begin mixing your drink. Other desserts I like are the sticky rice, cassava and the mung bean pandan jelly. All the items are not too sweet and full of textures from the different ingredients inside.

I wouldn't order this item again. I also asked for a sample of the cassava mochi strips. The woman working there kindly gave me a sample and topped it with coconut milk. It was delicious. The coconut milk was rich and creamy, and the dish itself wasn't overly sweet. I would definitely come back to order this. Customer service was friendly and welcoming.

I finally checked out RB Tea in Rosemead and it definitely lived up to the hype. The drinks are super well-balanced -- not overly sweet, and you can actually taste the tea. By far one of the best tea spot in the SGV. definite must try !!! And this is coming from a person that drink at all the tea stations in the area. Make sure to try out their FREE retro arcade system while waiting for your to be made. read more
