Service needs improvement. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to grab some drinks and some food. The hostess that greeted us was really nice and sat us to our table. There were two female bartenders working that day both were short and had similar sore attitudes. When we went up to the bar to order some drinks my aunt saw a drink that another patron had. She thought it looked good so she asked one of the bartenders what was in it. Not only did they ignore her the first time she asked, but when they did finally respond to her one of the bartenders couldn't make the drink because she didn't know how and the other said she couldn't re-make the drink because they didn't have the ingredients (what?). We ended up just ordering a beer and wine. Unfortunately, one of the bartenders was also servicing our table. She would walk past our table and ignore us. Our hostess came to actually check-up on us and I asked if she could be our waitress instead because, but unfortunately we had to order with the bartender. We did order some food and it was actually quite delicious. I really enjoyed the mushroom flatbread. It was cooked perfectly, had a good amount of mushrooms on it as well as big slices of avocado. My mother-in-law ordered the spicy pasta. The pasta was the perfect al dente and it had a good kick of heat at the end. I am giving two stars for the food and one star for the wonderful hostess who was super kind to us. The attitude and lack of service from the bartenders really put a hamper on our experience. read more

Don't let the sports bar vibe about this place fool you. The kitchen here is absolutely fire. I've not had a single dish that hasn't been phenomenal. Notables include the Chicken Picatta and the Chicken Curry (Chicken Tikka Masala). Went here for the first time as it's a spot that this group I joined attends. Went for happy hour and the music was blaring. I was greeted w a smile and placed my order and decided to eat outside. Considering I was the only one outside the servers were attentive. Place was pretty busy at 6:30 on a Friday. A bunch of guys seemed like they all knew each other so I could see this being like a Cheers environment. Came in for a couple of drinks before dinner reservations down the street. Service was fine, not amazing but we weren't abandoned. The music was so loud inside you'd have to shout to talk, luckily we got a table on their patio where we could still enjoy the music but hold a conversation too. They had Kona Big Wave on tap, which is a win for me! What I thought was odd though was that they kept my card for a tab and charged me $25 right off the bat for our first two drinks rather than running a actual tab and then when we ordered two more of the same beers, they then charged me $8.08 for those two... Came here for Thursday trivia night. Service was amazing- loved the bartenders Food was ok- bar food and we didn't expect gourmet . My boyfriend and I decided to visit R bar for happy hour one day because it was just a couple minute walk from my apartment! We arrived around 5:20 and were able to get a seat right away. We decided to order some appetizers to share since the happy hour deal on food from 3-7 PM is 20% off appetizers! We ordered the meatballs, the pulled pork fries, and the buffalo cauliflower. (We had ordered the Brussels sprouts as well, but the bartender never put the order in) The meatballs were our favorite dish as it came with four pieces of garlic bread to dip in the delicious tomato sauce surrounding the meatballs. The pulled pork fries were delicious as well. I do wish that instead of the mustard, they had some BBQ sauce over the top! The fresh garlic was definitely a nice touch though. The buffalo cauliflower was not the best dish I've had. The breading on the cauliflower was too thick and the coating soaked up so much oil. The only plus of the dish was the amount of buffalo sauce that was given for dipping. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size, so I was secretly happy the Brussels sprout order wasn't actually put in. I am a visited from out of town doing some work and am always looking for new places. This place has a great atmosphere and seems like a great place. It was listed on yelp as an option for late night option for dinner as well. So when I got there around 8:45pm I ordered my drink. Then at around 8:53pm I inquired how the food was in which the bartender said it was really good. So I asked for a menu and he said I would have 7 minutes to order as the kitchen was closing. He then disappeared after handing me the menu to sit on one of the bench seat next to the front entrance and did not reappear until 9:01 in which the kitchen is now closed. Why would you tell me that I have seven minutes to order then disappear for over those seven minutes. So I closed my one drink check and moved on. You do need to update and have Yelp take you off late night option for dinner if this is not the case. read more

If it's a club just say so. I wish you could post videos on this platform so I could show y'all the stupidity. We asked one person to turn the music down and they did. THEY HAVE A KETO MENU!! Woo-hoo!!! I like many others have gained quite a bit of weight during quarantine and decided to put myself on a keto diet so I was so happy to see they have a Keto menu! There is a great selection from keto empanadas to keto pizza! The only reason why I cannot give R Bar 5 stars is because their menu (the physical menu not food selection) needs work. I don't eat pork for religious reasons. It would have been nice to know that the Keto beans and cauliflower rice contain pork. I ate a delicious meal, started bragging about it to my friends, and had that moment ruined when I found out I had just ate pork after I read the ingredients for their keto tacos... I got the enchiladas which was first on the menu, so I didn't read that far down to the tacos to know that was what I was receiving. It should be first on the menu if that's the case. While I was eating, I saw the owner Rick chew out a senior woman who was polittely trying to have a reasonable conversation with him about the extremely loud and explicit music pouring from the outdoor speakers 15 hours a day. I'm an avid drinker of ipas and their selection is of beers made me not only try the ipas they had but some of the other local brews that they had. The bartender working that night leti and she was very knowledgeable about her beers and what ones were similar to the ipas in taste but weren't an iPa. She did an amazing job making sure I felt welcome amongst the regulars that were sitting there and somehow seemed to keep multiple conversations going with different people all at the same time.she did an amazing job definitely coming back. read more

This place is called r bar for ratchet. Terrible experience, never going back and i would recommend you find any other restaurant to go to. Lost our credit card and when found refused to give it back to us. People are abusively drunk running around not distancing, no masks. The waiters are not wearing gloves or their masks properly. The workers never checked on us or came back after dropping off the food. When we asked for the check it took 45 minutes and then they "misplaced" our card for another 30 minutes. When I questioned the waiter about the obvious disparity in volume, I was told that the full 12oz bottle fit into the cup. (FYI R-Bar: Old Fashioned glasses hold only 6-10 oz) The only positives were the hostesses and my waiter, Chad M , who were clearly struggling under the obvious chaos and disorganization of the lack of planning. This is right below my complex so it's accessible. It happens to be an LAFC bar and my boyfriend is an LA Galaxy fan so we don't frequent this bar too often. It's a small bar that also has a shuffle board inside which I think takes up more space since I don't really see anyone playing. About 20 minutes go by and finally the bartender comes to take our order. Telling us she is the only bartender (and waitress btw). Fine. We order, we order an appetizer. And we wait. She comes to our table with my drink only (Don Julio over ice and she's put a lime IN the drink) and tells us they are out of cauliflower, we need to order something else. Fine. Rest of the drinks are delivered with the exception of 1. She waits. The bartender is up chatting with people, not making drinks, our friend goes to the bartender and says we are still waiting for 1 drink. She rudely reminds him she is the only bartender. We usually come down to Pine Ave but just recently noticed R Bar off to the side so we decided to take a look. For a gastropub, it's a nice place. There's one long bar shaped liked a U with a few tables on the sides and at the end plus some patio seats. We were here to watch some NFL so while sitting at the bar, we had to tilt our head up to watch the screens in front of us. Kind of became uncomfortable after a while. Next time we'll probably sit at the tables. Food wise we tried the Beef Dip which wasn't bad, probably give it a solid B for a grade. Service was hit and miss, some bartenders were cool, others you had to wave your hand to get acknowledged. We would definitely come again though. read more
