Tucked away right by the all famous sign, Radiator Whisky might be my favorite bar in the Pike Market area, if not one of my favorites in all of Belltown. Great drinks, good food, cheapish happy hour a fun area (if you can fit in) it pretty much checks all the boxes for a fun night out. The long and short of it: 1. Manhattans. All named after key members of The Manhattan Project (clever) they'll more warm you up then reduce you to a radioactive pile of ash. My personal favorite was the Oppenheimer: Chipotle but they're all good. I make sure to get at least one every visit. 2. Other Booze. Radiator offers an impressive list of bourbons, ryes, scotch and pretty much every other poison your body could be wondering why you're drinking. Pair this with some pretty delicious cocktails, The Renegade or Maple Old Fashioned, and it's easily one of the better cocktail spots in the city. They have beer too, if that's what the night calls for. 3. Happy Hour. 4-6 Mon-Sat Radiator offers some pretty enticing deals, the best being the $7 Apple Infused Effen Mule (like an apple Moscow Mule thats not too sweet). Food wise you need to grab the $5 tots (careful veggie folk, that gravy is Turkey based). They were nice enough to offer a few cups of aioli for dipping when we told them we were sans meat. The Debris sandwich also looked delicious and a steal at $8. 4. Food. Not the standard cocktail bar affair, Radiator is big on their meats. Half chickens and brisket are things you'll see getting delivered to every table so you might as well join in. They have a Breakfast Feast that serves 14 - 16 people for $500, something I'm just noticing at time of writing. Requesting a description from someone who has participated in such a thing. 5. Atmosphere. Radiator is nice and cozy, but being a popular spot in a super crowded area of town, this often leads it to being bursing at the seams. On a busy night, you'll end up waiting a bit if you don't have a reservation, even if it's just for drinks in the standing bar area. Best to call ahead I wish I lived closer to Radiator Whisky, though it might be detrimental to my liver and wallet. For now I'm content to make my way all the way into the market so I can sip an unusual Manhattan or try a new bourbon. Overall Grade: A read more

I honestly have nothing bad to say about Radiator Whiskey. It's as good as all the pictures look. Yes, they have hilarious sayings and definitions adorning their walls. Yes, they have that huge barrel of whiskey in the backdrop. And, yes, they do make a mean plate of tater tots with gravy and a lightly fried egg (yolk porn worthy) on top. Taps rotate, and they have plenty of great local brews here. But, you're definitely here for their massive spirits list. There's something for everyone - single malt Japanese, sweeter American fare for those who like bourbon, and plenty of high end and local whiskeys to choose from. Came here for happy hour and I wish I could have stayed for dinner because the tator tots we got were delicious! I shared 2 tator tots with 4 people and we weren't able to finish it. It was loaded with gravy and a perfectly fried egg on top. The tots were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The gravy only added to the amazingness of a childhood favorite! I also got the apple mule which if you like mules, you'll love this one. A hint of apple, a whole lot of ginger and total sweetness. This is a good drink if you like sweet drinks! I was looking for Happy Hour places in Seattle and Radiator Whiskey popped up first on the list. What sold me was a picture of the smoked 1/2 pig head. The recommended party size is 2-3 people. We were a party of 3 and had a hard time even finishing half! In all fairness we did have some complimentary popcorn in the beginning and shared the chicken livers. I think if we didn't order an appetizer we still wouldn't have finished the pig. After awhile the grease just starts making you feel heavy and gross. We did take the leftovers home but we were kinda hesitant to eat it after how we felt the day before. I probably wouldn't order the chicken livers again, it had a different taste than what I expected. Service was great! Radiator Whiskey truly whisked my tastebuds away! It's literally a cozy and dim establishment located upstairs with a slightly unconventional menu and exceptional service! We each ordered a cocktail and shared the turkey drum confit and braised beef brisket and oh my gosh were we pleasantly surprised at how delicious it all was! The turkey leg came with a side of smashed potatoes that were yummy! The meat for both dishes just fell apart it was so tender and the flavors all came together so perfectly! The portions are generous so come hungry or plan to take some back for a midnight snack. Added bonus that we didn't feel super heavy after having what seemed like a hearty meal! We also shared tater tots and let me tell you that may have been the worse idea because we did not expect our main dishes to be as big as they were! We were beyond stuffed and still had a full portion to take home! The food was aaaaamazing! I am craving the corn bread with the honey butter as we speak! I was a fan of this place, everyone enjoyed both their creative and more-traditional bourbon drinks. The view of the strip club across the street can obviously not be beat, but I'm glad that the city of Seattle isn't prudish in a way that would unnecessarily censor that sort of thing. Back to Radiator Whiskey, the drinks and atmosphere were great. Our only complaint was that it wasn't open until 4:00pm, but I feel like this will only be a problem for the truly degenerate. Simply one of the coolest restaurants in all of Seattle. I highly recommend coming here to any tourist or local, this place is good for both. Located in the market but so not your typical touristy thing. Meats and whiskey, that is all you have to know. They do both well with barrel-aged manhattans, interesting cocktails, and a menu that will break you out in meat sweats. Having met the chefs before and thinking they were really rad we took our group of 16 friends here for their weekly Beast Feast. Something you have to reserve ahead of time and we booked ours months in advance. Standard fixed price but they cook you up literally the whole pig. There was enough food to feed 25 easily but the limit is 16. Pigs head, crispy fried ears, pork shoulder, porchetta, and even the eyeballs. And if you eat the eyeballs you get a free shot of whiskey. Then they round out that meat with sides, which are seasonal and of course also delicious. We all took home boxes of food and literally I couldn't stomach eating meat for a few days but it was all so good, so reasonable and so worth it. I just had my first night in Seattle and was looking for a unique place to start off the trip. Radiator Whiskey did not disappoint. A solid 4.5 stars! Food: Our experience started off with a bowl of buttery popcorn, which was satisfying while we figured out drinks and food. I settled on the beef brisket, which was (happily) too much food for just me! I wasn't a fan of the large onion that accomplished the dish, but the meat was tender and, paired with the horseradish mayo and arugula, was a great dish. To drink, I tried one bourbon cocktail (with chocolate bitters - yum! ) and one pisco cocktail. Both were sweet and refreshing for a warmer day. Service: The 2 staff I interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable, immediately drawing me into place. The hostess said she had the "perfect" table for us - which proved to be a little underwhelming but certainly caught my attention up front - and the waiter answered my many questions about their extensive drink menu! We visited here during the pandemic and had the best time. Their whiskey selection is fantastic and the people were very cool.

Took my boyfriend here as a surprise because he is super into whiskey. It was recommended to me from my friend whose coworker had been before. If you are going here on a weekend night, be ready to either wait for a table or stand in the crowded bar area. The place is small and they do not allow for drinks in the hall way so you have to strategically pick a time to visit or make a reservation. I had made a reservation for 8pm since that was the only option at the time for a party of 6. We waited in the hall and then in the bar for some of it. Unfortunately the table before us had overstayed so we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for the table we had reserved. I understand this puts the staff in an awkward position so we waited patiently while they kindly encouraged and let the table know people were waiting. I think this was handled pretty well by the staff and they said we could pick out a free appetizer for the extra long wait. I know they did not have to give us anything for waiting but I think that was the right thing to do. They ended up just giving us the Tots without asking what we wanted so I think there may have been some miscommunication between the two waitresses but that was fine with us. The pricing here is a little higher than I would prefer but I think that their food and drinks were high quality. The Tots were good, probably unnecessary to include the Fried Egg and they skimped on the gravy but the flavor was there. No one at our table was a fan of the Fried Beef Lip Terrine, not that I would order that on my own anyways but I tried it and it was chewy and not worth the price. The Braised Beef Brisket was yummy and so was the Mug O' Tomato Soup. I would like to go back and try more of the Large Plates. For the drinks, I liked the recommendations the waitress gave me for the mixed drinks. If you are not a huge whiskey fan and prefer something tasty and sweet, I would highly recommend asking. I know the guys enjoyed their Whiskey flights as well which was a menu item written on the large chalk board hanging on the wall. This restaurant is located on the second floor across Pike's Public Market. There wasn't a big sign so it's pretty easy to miss. We got a dinner reservation for 6 on a Monday night. We wanted to try this place out after hearing about their bourbon drinks. The restaurant is somewhat on the smaller side and had almost zero ventilation aside from the windows and it's main door. The kitchen is small (it's in the middle of the restaurant) but the wait for the food didn't take too long. We all had different foods to try. For some odd reason, all their burgers were very salty. Two of my friends actually only had a few bites before calling it quits. We did tell the waitress about the food and she offered to give us new dishes. My friends opted not to try anything else after having a bite of the other foods we had so the waitress took off the items off our tab. I had the beef brisket -- personally I wasn't sure if the sauce was really salty or if it was the marinade. Definitely lived up the the expectations, great draft selections for the beer drinker. The tater tots were excellent with the gravy and fried egg on top. We got the tater tots w/fried egg & gravy which is a great appetizer and the $8 debris sandwich (pork, smoked cheddar, fried egg, fritos). They have a selection of whiskey that they age in their own barrels from some of the top distilleries around the country like Eagle Rare & Maker's Mark. I wish I could give this place more than 2 stars as the hubby and I had very high hopes for our last dinner in Seattle. Starting with the drinks, the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned was definitely not as expected. The smoke took away all of the flavor and overpowered the entire drink. The Al-Carpano wasn't much better but at least better than the Old Fashioned. We would have been better off ordering a whiskey flight. On to food, we really wanted to like the burnt ends, but there was hardly any flavor at all. The mustard sauce was bitter and again with overpowering smoke flavor, it's as if they use the smoke to take away from how bland the food is. The cornbread texture was crumbly but at least tasted OK compared to everything else we ordered. The loaded tots were also just OK. They sounded amazing, like everything else on the menu but they lacked flavor & were smothered in peppers. The market vegetable was mushrooms & we were really excited about those as we both love mushrooms but again with entirely TOO MUCH SMOKE. They were inedible and a waste of $15. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the service was amazing. Our waitress was fantastic, the host was great as well as the ambiance was quaint and exactly what I expected. We were able to walk into RW w/ no reso around 4:30pm on a Wednesday. Very good cocktails. They have happy hour specials from 4-6pm Monday through Saturday. They hook you up with bottomless popcorn. There's also a board where they write daily specials to the left of the barrel. Really enjoyed the barrel-aged boulevardier (Trail's End bourbon, Campari and Cocchi di Torino). Loved the atmosphere of this place. The food was good but I'd have preferred a more balanced meal with something green on my plate. The chicken was so good that my wife expressed a desire to get a smoker for home. The cornbread was perfect. The pork sandwich was unusual in that it had no BBQ sauce, but again, my wife loved it. Server did a nice job - outgoing and friendly. We visited Radiator Whiskey almost exactly a year ago, and my dad is STILL talking about this place. We were on a road trip traveling back to San Diego and decided to stay in Seattle for a couple of days. Dinner arrangements were completely last minute, but I'm glad this place caught my attention! I called about 2-3 days in advanced to reserve half a pig's head (I was ready for them to tell me no since I was not flexible with my days) and to my surprise they had one available! We got there towards the end of happy hour so the place was packed. At that point I got nervous thinking my dad would be upset by the atmosphere... which he was initially. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and made some great bourbon/whiskey suggestions. After a few shots my dad was thoroughly enjoying himself! The highlight was definitely the pig head. I had my own personal reservations about the head, but my goodness was it good! There is so much familiar pork meat on the face and those fried pig ears were bomb with the bbq seasoning! I didn't eat any crazy stuff like the eye or brains, but my dad sure did. He received a free shot for eating the eye ball, he said it tastes like bacon. The reason for me writing this review one year later is because my dad wants to go back to Seattle just to have another dinner at Radiator Whiskey! My friend and I hopped over to this place to check out their specialty because it was rated so highly and we were just across the restaurant in Matt's in the Market. We asked for a recommendation from the waitress, and she recommended a tater tots dish with a fried egg on top of it. It didn't sound that special, but I just wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt since she must know what the regulars enjoy the most. The dish was extremely salty, and we were nowhere close to finishing the bowl. It was really mediocre, so I was pretty disappointed. That being said, we may have just gotten unlucky, and it could be that there are many other delicious dishes on the menu. I just don't know what they are ._. Definitely worth coming here just for this dish. Otherwise...it was meh. Food was good but nothing great. Lots of Brown Water to choose from, but many of the mixed drinks were Just OK, nothing special.
