This Place is not to far from my work, and I saw one of there brochures in my mailbox so I decided to give them a try "paper advertising still works". I called in my order and they answered the phone promptly and the gentleman was very nice on the phone. I asked for a veggie sandwich a caesars salad and a beef kabob. The sandwich was really good they grilled the veggies and not fried, and it was rolled in a huge pita bread. No jock that sandwich was one feet long. The caesars salad was good nothing special but the portions are really big just as the other people said. The beef kabob was from my friend and i did try a bit from it and i was not bad at all. The food temperature was good since its take out and sometimes it can stay out on the counter for some times. The food was ready in 15 min for pickup, and the workers are extremely nice. There was good amount of parking space, but i have to warn during lunch time the parking lot is a mess! There are three more restaurants in this shopping center including a liquor store, tobacco store, and cleaners so do the math. This place is mixture of persian and Greek food, and vegetarian friendly dishes for those who do not like meet. They have great family specials for 5-7 people or 10-12 people from $55 to $80. The $55 includes four Lule kabob, shish kabob, chicken shish kabob, rice tomatoes peppers pita included for each plate. $80 includes everything i mentioned but five of lyle, and shish kabob. They also deliver on minimum of $12.00 orders or above, and they also except credit cards. They are not open on Sundays probably because it's a business area and they don't get a lot of traffic. read more

I have absolutely no relationship with this place and this review is entirely independent. Rafo's left a menu at my door. I called for delivery, despite the photos looking a little bland. I am so glad I did! First, friendly and fast. Second, there is a huge portion of food and that food is beautiful. Fresh mint in the salad. Fresh corn, not frozen or canned. The salad dressing actually has real spices and is not watered down. The doner kabob was excellently spiced. My husband's beef kabob was lovely and tender. The wraps are foot longs! They were tasty, but pretty basic. Meat, Lettuce, Onion, and Picked veggies of some sort (I asked for no pickes on mine.) There's no rice, or much sauce really... so it was kind of dry. Other than that, I enjoyed it, and I was pretty full afterwards. Price point is fantastic, $6.99 for each of our sandwiches. If you like pizza from Costco but want less bread and a more zesty tasting pizza, try this spot. The service was fast and easy. I heard through NextDoor that Rafo's Cafe makes great pizza, so I tried it out tonight on my way home. I got 2 slices, one just cheese and one with pepperoni. The slices were so big, they cut them in two, so it was like I got 4 slices! The owners were nice and quick. The place is clean, though it could use a decorator. Just feels like a bachelor-pad type place. So, on to the pizza! It was fabulous!! I lived in New York for 5 years and got to love their pizza and their pizza can definitely compete! Crisp but not rock hard crust, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, baked in a hot oven that makes little char marks on the crusty edge. Pepperoni was not too greasy, turned up on the edges from the heat and oh so good! They really should put pizza in their description under the cafe name so people can find this place! So, two pieces (which were actually 4 regular sized pieces), came out to about $8.50 total... what a deal! I'll be back to try all of their different styles (from Hawaiian to Armenian to Meat Lovers, etc.). I've been here a couple times before when it was a different name and owner, food was good. Then I tried once when it became Rafo's Cafe and it still was good, I remember that the beef and chicken was both really good and they had a couple different salads they added in. A couple of months ago I went back and had chicken breast and it was very soft and rubbery and the salads were not as good anymore. Not sure if they had a bad day or what but I havent been back since and unfortunately there arent too many places like this in Burbank. read more

They are very nice people, not sure where exactly they are from, Armenia or some place in middle east, but these folks are always smiling and make you feel home as soon as you walk in. This is more of a pick up joint but I have sat down and eaten my meal here couple of times. Their Chicken kebab plate is awesome, chicken is tender and nicely marinated. The salad they give with the plate is also very flavorful. The rice is so nice and mildly flavored with don't know what, but goes well with plate. The guys who run this are so nice, one day they were having tea when I walked in. This looks like a close family owned place and everyone in the family having tea. I just asked what kind of tea it is, and they made me one. Tea is not even on their menu! There is certainly no shortage of kabob restaurants in Burbank. Rafo's has become my go-to option, however. Their meats are consistently tender, healthy, juicy, and delicious. I never have a problem with dry meat. They don't start cooking your food until you order (likewise, I suggest calling in your order ahead of time), and you know they're going to cook it to a perfect level every time. This place is fantastic !! My partner and I were doing a really long walk and began to get hungry so feeling in a healthy mood we wanted something light and fresh. Mediterranean came to mind so I did a quick yelp search and this came up. It blew my mind $7.99 for a Doner Kabab sandwich. We asked to have it cut in half and were surprised to see how huge it was. Not to mention the owner came out and gave us free pita and hummus on the house. The food was excellent the service was excellent and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
