This place is open almost all time and they have a huge selection. Around 11am Sunday they seemed fully stocked except for maybe an apple fritter shortage. People sure do love some apple fritters. Decided to drive by while out this morning on their opening day, and it wasn't as busy as I expected! so I stopped in for half a dozen donuts and some coffee. I've been a fan of Randy's ever since a friend in LA introduced me, and I was so excited to hear they were opening one close enough for me to bike to. They were well prepared for their opening day, lots of friendly staff, and a beautiful display of fresh donuts. My favorite today was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch! I love how fresh their donuts are, and the doughy part isn't sweet which compliments all the sweet toppings well. I'm sure my donut loving 4 year old and I will soon be regulars of this location! read more

I'll start by saying I'm not a donut connoisseur and don't generally eat donuts, so not entirely sure what a great donut is really supposed to taste like. I needed a 1/2 dozen donuts in the evening and Randy's was the only place that was both nearby and open. There seemed to be roughly 13 specialty or what they call "premium donuts," and about 30 regular donuts that you would find at any other place (think Dunkin's donuts). They looked okay and they tasted okay (see picture attached). The cashier was very friendly and helpful and there was a long line of people waiting (that must mean they're good, right?). read more

OMG! The BEST donuts. Much better than that "Barbie color" place. I bought 4 of the deluxe donuts going through the drive-thru. It was very quick! They put them in a big box and it felt SO heavy. When I got home I opened it up and the size of the apple fritter and cinnamon roll were enormous. We were all so excited to try them, that I forgot to take pictures! Next time I will - it will be awhile because sadly I can't handle that much sugar very often. read more

I'm officially off the Randy's Donut train. I was excited to see one open in Summerlin, but it was just as disappointing as the opening in Santa Monica. Donuts aren't made in the morning at the location. They're apparently made the night before and glazed in the morning according to the cashier. They definitely tasted stale. Delicious! Sad that such a phenomenal donut shop isn't 5 starts but you do have to understand the trash of some humans that feel the need to crap on a phenomenal business so that they don't have to deal with crowds. Two amazing donuts came to $6 and I'm stuffed and don't need to eat until evening. Super filling. Went straight in the restrooms first, pro tip, trying a new spot do this, dirty bathrooms = dirty kitchens. Super clean bathroom and the staff is kind and attentive. Worst croassant I've ever had in my life! With a horrible smell, greasy and the taste is so bad, that's not even worth to talk about it. The Donuts looked old and smelled like oil too. Didn't get to try the donuts because we got tired of waiting. We were the third customers in line with 3 people "working". For some reason there was a cashier doing nothing but standing in front of the cash register while one staff person was getting the first customer's order filled. The second customer finally got to give his order after being talked up by someone that I am assuming is the manager. The first person just finished and was going to the cashier and so #2 started placing his order which was going to be 3 dozen. Seriously? We just wanted an Apple fritter and maybe a glazed twist. Ok, maybe the cashier has to stay at her station (only one person responsible for the $ during the shift?), and the other one was filling orders. But what the heck with the third employee/manager? He went back to the back of the store after chatting with customer #2. Hellooooo?!?! No way we were going to continue our so far 10 min wait while the order in front of us was for 3 dozen. Bad management. You've lost my business and interest. Too bad, cuz Randy's is an institution in SoCal. Very disappointed. read more

I love Randy's and I tell everyone to go there. It's way across town for me to drive, but I do it because it's legit the best in town. I'm sad, however, with my recent trip because inside the store was blistering hot. I felt so so bad for the employees who have to work there. It's been the hottest days of the year, and their air isn't working? Shame on you, Randy's. Shame on you! This is no way to treat employees and, subsequently, customers. I want it noted that even though it was incredibly hot in the store, I was still welcomed by an incredible staff who apologized over and over for the inconvenience. I don't know how you have such loyal staff working in these conditions. They all need a raise and a bonus! Get your dang AC fixed so I can come back in and eat my dang donut in pleasure! It's a donut place with decent donuts. The matcha donut is not worth it though. Get that from an Asian place instead.

My boyfriend and I went here to pick up an order and asked a question about the cake doughnut. Instead of just simply answering the question, the lady in the front looked at us as if we were dumb and reluctantly answered it. I work in the service industry so I can understand the whole "dumb question" moment but I never try to make the customer feel as though it was. Won't be coming here again. Other than that the other guy in the front was polite, maybe she could learn a thing or two. read more

I've been here twice and sampled a few donuts and most were pretty good. We just stopped tonight and a got a bear claw, though, and they have a bear claw confused with an apple fritter. It look like a bear claw and I cut it in half and it had these overly sweet apples pieces in filling instead of the almond paste and almonds that is in every bear claw that I have ever had before in my life. Finally... Randy's Donuts open in Summerlin. Yummy This location is smaller than the one on Rainbow blvd. This store is where the old Kentucky Fried chicken was right next to Taco Bell. The parking is very limited. Not to sure if they have a drive thru like the Rainbow Blvd location. We weren't to sure if they open until we saw someone walking out. There was no open sign. When we went inside there were only 2 or 3 sit down tables and two show cases. We had a dozen of assorted Donuts. Of course we had to have the staples the glazed and sugar that was a must. I am not a cake donut kind of person but I had to have the red velvet which was so moist and delicious and the frosting wasn't to sweet and the crumble gave it that little extra crunch. My daughter loves Fruit Loops so a no brainer was to get the Fruit Loop donut. She Loved it so much she got two! Chocolate sprinkles was a hit too actually they were are so yummy! There was no one here on opening day, just drove right through. They said at 4PM they are no longer offering free donuts as of 12PM, though nothing online said this. Online they said their would be other surprises or gifts on opening day. There was neither. Unfortunately the most expensive ones were just basic. You are going to have to step it up to beat your competition and your opening day was a big flop. Fire your PR team. I live 5 mins from your location and buy donuts at least once a month. I've always had a pleasant experience ordering from here. I've only done food delivery and haven't ordered from inside the store yet but out of the donuts I've tried, these ones are good: chocolate raised, chocolate buttermilk, glazed twist, cinnamon roll, texas glazed, glazed raised, maple long John, blueberry cake, and glazed buttermilk. There's still a bunch I haven't tried yet but the ones listed in this review are my go to just based off my preferences. read more

We purchased a dozen donuts and some "bear claws" based on the reputation of the location in LA. Big mistake. All of the raised donuts and the bear claws were raw inside and tough.
