Restaurant week brought me to this place as it has become highly recommended by multiple friends. Their restaurant week menu was super enticing as it has multiple items from their menu. Honestly every item on prix fixer menu was fantastic. The service was impeccable from our server, Liz. The restaurant overall has a cool vibe.

My second time at Rare Society and by far some of the best steaks in Vegas. Recommend either of the boards with aged steak assortments, marrow and dipping sauces, fresh or charbroiled oysters and hamachi crisp. I always love sides so 10/10 on the Caesar salad. We like the broccolini and mushrooms too. For dessert we got the Brookie tart to share an Americano. Beautiful presentation always and our serving team Jose and Judith were so kind and amazing. Thank you!

Early dinner inside this modern, contemporary designed steakhouse in the UnCommons across from Durango Resort. Our hosts and waitress and staff provided first class service. Classic steakhouse menu with their modern interpretation of recipes. Nice option to try is one of their steak boards that have a variety of their popular cuts of meat. Excellent place to have a special occasion dinner or just enjoy great service and food!

Came here for date night on Friday. We arrived during happy hour so opted to sit in the patio on a beautiful day. Our server was friendly and gave a few recommendations. We ordered half dozen oysters, Brussels sprouts, tuna tartare, truffle fries, beef skewers, and popcorn shrimp. Food was delicious. I had a cosmopolitan which was refreshingly paired with our meal. Great experience here.

Ribeye, we asked for it sliced. Look at that perfect medium rare

This is THE new spot in Vegas. Vibe, service, apps, dinner, dessert - top to bottom amazing! It's a steakhouse with a lounge vibe. Vanessa, our server, made our dining experience special. You don't meet people a genuine soul like her every day. Jared runs an amazing operation. Tables were set like we were in The Bear. Service like a science. You will not be disappointed Best bites: Rib eye was perfect Lobster and crab Mac and cheese was rich and comforting The Caesar salad topped with fries anchovies might be the best in town Get the bacon Hamachi crudo had a memorable touch of spice DO NOT LEAVE without ordering the butter cake and cheesecake I know already that I'm going to be a regular. I'm already looking forward to my next reservation

The staff, drinks, and food 10/10. The fact that the food was delicious and the ice cream was cookies and cream (my fav) without them being told. Was an absolute pleasure. We will be back anytime we're in Vegas. Loved the environment and the vibe of this place. Thank you again it was a pleasure.

If you're looking for one of the best steakhouses off the Strip, Rare Society is going fast to the top of my list. Came in ready to make an executive decision... so we ordered the Executive Platter. No regrets. That thing easily feeds 5+ people and then some. It's basically a parade of perfectly cooked, flavorful cuts that keep coming at you. Every single side held its own. Usually there's that one side nobody touches. Not here. Each one was just as good as the next, no weak links on this table. Bonus points for having my drink of choice, a Carajillo. Steak and a Carajillo, That's a power move. Great food, solid vibe, and proof that you don't need to be on the Strip to eat.

If you're looking for a trendy steakhouse on the southwest side of Vegas, Rare Society in the Uncommons is the spot. We were due for a date night, and we weren't disappointed once we entered the restaurant. Gorgeous decor, with extremely attentive staff made the experience luxurious beyond words. Since it was our first time, we went with Lamb Lollipops, Shell Mac n Cheese, Miso Carrots, Broccolini and 35day Dry Aged Ribeye sliced. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Not gonna lie, it's definitely pricey for off strip, but the ambiance and savory dishes definitely let you know it's well worth the cost.

My first visit was a weekday Happy Hour catch up with the girl friends. After this experience, I'm definitely returning for a full sit-down dinner The restaurant vibe and ambiance is pleasing to the eye and vibes. The showcased "U" shaped bar is beautiful and such a social media post ready to happen. The background wall is tall and stocked with the premium bottles. On the side, are two rotating towers of booze that make for a very cool look. The open dining area is rocking high quality tables, chairs and has a classy yet casual vibe. Our server on the receipt was "Bar B" and she was fantastic during our HH visit. I split a HH burger with one of the girl bros and the burger came out cut in half ready to share. She kept the waters fresh and our beers coming. Great stuff. Happy Hour Burger - Delish burger and amazing value for the price. Truffle Fries - Crisp with the right amount of truffle, not overbearing. After this HH experience, I'm definitely returning for a full sit-down dinner. I'm looking forward to ordering from the full menu in the near future. Cheers!

Visited for my husband and I anniversary, the service was excellent as was the food. We enjoyed every bite. The ambiance was chill and classy. Loved that they have a signed greeting card for all guest.

I've been coming to their happy hour the last two weeks and it's been great! $10 cocktails including a delicious margarita, and an old-fashioned! The food on the happy hour is pretty good as well. I liked their shrimp cocktail and their tuna tartare! Happy hour is from 4-6pm! The bar is a super cool vibe and the service is always fast and friendly!

We celebrated our anniversary at this amazing establishment last night. It is "restaurant week" here in Las Vegas and they definitely have the best menu of all the restaurants listed in Las Vegas! Although pretty pricey the food was outstanding with everything made from scratch! Our server told us this is their 7th location with the original one in San Diego and all of them owned by the chef himself. It was a very busy night and apparently they have a happy hour from 4-6 as the bar was already full when we arrived with people partying in full swing! It does get a little noisy when full but there is a patio if you want it quieter if you don't mind the heat! Wine selection is somewhat limited by the glass but nice selection of full bottles. The Caesar salad and rolls were excellent! Followed by a very nice presentation of shrimp cocktail on ice. The half artichoke was grilled and served with a spicy side sauce. We both had the filet mignons as our main course and shared the sides which were more than enough. Personally although the steak was a good quality there was too much sea salt on the top and I found it a little dry which I'm assuming was because it was aged. The desserts were outstanding and the waitstaff very personable and accommodating. A lot of attention to detail and we will definitely be back! Dinner for two with wine was $300 but on their regular menu would be around $400 for our meal!

Ask the Community - Rare Society

Is the beef served here prime grade?

    Yes.

    Are they kid friendly?

Well. That depends on the kids ages and if they are disciplined enough for a nice steak dinner. I did not see and high chairs or child seats available. You'd be best to call them directly.

Is there happy hour and what time?

    Every day 4pm-6pm

    When is happy hour?

The bar seating is very limited and they were sending people over to Wineaux when we went.

What's the proper/preferred attire for this restaurant?

Like most places in Vegas, just about anything goes. There were people dressed up, business casual, and some in nice shorts. Great restaurant btw!!

    Please post the menu?

Me and wifey showed up for our 7:30 PM reservation and was seated immediately and greeted by our server, Nicole (Congratulations on your little one!). She was very pleasant and then TK came out and dropped off a phenomenal sourdough bread slice with a side of bacon jam, I believe. Then we were greeted by manager Derrick, who I'd previously spoke with on the phone and told him we'd be about 5 minutes behind schedule. He told me it was no problem. Derrick's personality was personable to the point where it felt like I knew him already. TK recommended the pepper corn sauce for our steak and then went above and beyond by bringing out several different sauces to try with our steak. I informed Derrick my wife was in PA school and graduating soon and then he went above and beyond by bringing out a complementary dessert for her, which he did not have to do but we were very appreciative of the nice gesture. This experience tonight was one of a kind and I'd gladly come back on my next visit and tell a friend. I've never had such exceptional service at a steakhouse. Much love and thanks to all staff at Primal Steakhouse.

Come to think of it, they recently introduced a three course meal call the Power Lunch for $50.00. It's very similar to the Restaurant Week menu but there's more main entree options to choose from with Power Lunch. This restaurant is located right next to the famous Bacchanal Buffet. For our appetizers, we chose the Cesar Salad and their famous Luger's Sizzling Bacon. YES YES YES!!!!! If you're a fan of bacon, THIS IS A MUST ORDER. This isn't your plain ol diner bacon. Thick pieces, charred perfectly. You need to try this for yourself. Cesar salad was delicious as Cesar salad gets. Our main entree, we both got the Broiled Salmon. Comes with your choice of either creamed spinach or french fries. Both fantastic options. The creamed spinach pairs well with the salmon as there's not too much flavor/seasoning to it. Gives your tastebuds a bit more flavor. All I can say about the french fries is I've never tasted a fry I didn't like lol. Portions are big enough for leftovers. I love how they don't skim on your portions even though it's for Restaurant Week. As if you're not full yet...don't forget about dessert. The Holy Cow Sundae's portion was just right. Couldn't finish it but ice cream and chocolate lovers would be in heaven with this. Service was fantastic. I had heard great reviews regarding the creamed spinach, but I thought it was just ok. Same with the fries. I would try something else on a future visit. Finally, I wasn't super impressed with the "Holy Cow" Hot Fudge Sundae. The hot fudge didn't wow me. I wouldn't order this again. Overall, we were very happy with our visit. The Las Vegas Smith & Wollensky is located in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes and is a great looking facility - definitely a classic steakhouse vibe but in a contemporary setting. The service was everything you could want from an elite steakhouse, especially the presentation on the Swinging Tomahawk. The Waygu Tomahawk is a magnificent steak which I think is a steak lover's must-have experience, with the caveat being that it's huge. It was soooo good. I recommend asking for a table along the open window (but not a window) so you can look out onto the canal shops. Our server, Ian, was very welcoming and fun. He gave good recommendations and was attentive. We each started with an appetizer. I had the French onion soup which was delicious. It wasn't too salty or cheesy. It also had yummy bits of braised beef in it. My friends had the split pea soup (no cream) and fritto misto which they seemed to like. We all shared the tomahawk steak and sides of sautéed mushrooms and truffle fries. That steak was incredible and so tender. It was cooked to medium perfection and had charred fat. (See video). It came with the crunchiest roasted potatoes. The best part was the crunch bits on the cutting board. The sides were tasty as well and I forgot to mention the bread served once you're seated. It's super soft and the butter is nicely whipped. For cocktails, I really enjoyed the Off the Rails Old Fashioned which you create via a dice game. That was real fun and the drink packs a nice punch. For dessert we shared a decadent and moist chocolate cake slice which was huge for a slice. Overall it was a great experience.

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.
