Service, Food Quality, Perfectly Seasoned and prepared. Great presentation and staff. Perfection. I had The Tomahawk Pork Chop. Medium rare. Melts in your mouth. My friend had Filet Mig and was like butter at Med rare. Ricotta Raviolis, mushroom medley (at least 4 types of Mushroom) Asparagus - all were perfect. I know I sound so positive, but it was one of the best sets I've had this year. What's also really nice, the staff are on top of everything. I 100% recommend Rare Society for a great meal with great service. I also love that's it's Off Strip! The Uncommons across street from Durango. I don't take pics at a restaurant. Inside the restaurant is classy, simple but warm. Looking into the kitchen from your table adds to the inviting atmosphere. The service is incredible, our waters never got empty and everything was appropriately timed. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo on recommendation. The flavors were great, but everything was really overwhelming so we didn't taste the fish at all. The cedar river prime ribeye was INCREDIBLE. I've never had a steak so tender and well seasoned!! We also ordered the wood fired broccolini and miso glazed carrots. Everything was tasty but when they say wood fired they mean it it just had an overall charcoal flavor that was pretty overwhelming. I wonder if we just ordered the wrong sides because the steak was amazing, but I wouldn't put rare society on the top of my list of must go backs. Also the drink menu was a little lack luster. I was so excited to try them out for restaurant week. Made reservations for Sunday and I should've known what would've happened next. Their offering was very lucrative, a ribeye, lamb lollipops, and so much more. I went for the ribeye and the lollipops and was told after we ordered they had unfortunately run out. It's OK we'll save those for next time. The lamb chops, the bacon, meatballs, bread everything else was amazing! We will definitely be back to try the two items that we missed out on. I was a little disappointed that my server was dismissive of what I requested that I had to repeat myself several times. I figured it was busy and brushed it off. When the check arrived, I handed the gentleman my credit card and I was sitting alone at the table. After he processed the transaction, my boyfriend was sitting next to me and the server handed him my credit card and thanked him for the visit. Our server was friendly but he didn't explain a single dish, like...it was pretty empty when we got there- you have this amazing menu with beautifully plated food and flavors that will satisfy and you dont talk about any of it!? For me personally, I tend to prefer a pan seared steak since it keeps more of that juicy richness, so this one came off a little less juicy than I expected but still flavorful. The sides were honestly the highlight. The mac and cheese was super creamy and packed with flavor, and the whipped potatoes were smooth, buttery, and just really well done. Place has a cool vibe as you enter and there is bar seating. They walked us to the back to our table. On the very back there is another bar seating looking into the kitchen. There are two large open glass fridge showcasing their steak. Place has area to host a big party and also an area outside. Menu has good selection of appetizers, entree, dessert, and drinks. We started with cocktails. Got a couple of appetizers- lamb chops and a crude. Both were excellent and flavorful. Lamb is cooked perfectly. Decided to order two steaks- Waygu and a ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and flavorful. We got two sides - their Parker rolls and miso glazed carrots. Rolls were freshly made, warm, and buttery. Make sure you save room for dessert- the banana foster cheesecake is heavenly. It's great to have a high end steak house not in the strip located at The Uncommons. We've been hearing great thing about this place and have visited the location in San Diego way back when. So we decided let's check it out for a date night. We were extremely pleased with the food and service. The decor is nice, kinda new age but with warm wood accents to try and give it a modern steakhouse feel. We made for an early dinner at 5pm and were quickly sat when we arrived, the restaurant was a little empty but then quickly filled up. Glad we had made the reservations. Our server made a few recommendations that he said quickly sells out so if we want to try them best to order it. Appetizers: dozen oysters. Half west coast , half east coast. And Parker rolls. The oysters were delicious and fresh. The Parker rolls were buttery salty soft goodness. Highly recommend. Mains: we decided to go with the executive board, so we could get a nice sampling off ther steak offerings and we are big backs, so we wanted the extra food haha. 10/10 recommend. We ordered it medium rare, came out perfect temperature, juicy tender cuts or meat and bone marrow to boot. Sides: black truffle potatoes au gratin, my husbands favorite lol if there is truffle on the menu, it's always a go to. Also the asparagus. Had made it for 4 but then another friend wanted to join and they were very accommodating and allowed us to add 1 just hours before our time. They had their in house Fresno chili sauce that pair perfectly with the oysters. It came with king crab, 12 oysters (2-styles) salmon poke, ahi tuna poke. 3-shrimp and half lobster. Let me tell you as someone who really never does these, I was impressed the lobster had great seasoning and the flavor was fantastic. The salmon and ahi tuna was out of bounds good! The oysters phenomenal, shrimp tasty and king crab delicious and succulent. We also ordered the associate which comes with around 22oz of meat 3- different waygu meats (Denver, filet, and tri tip) - all were delicious. * what was an absolute disappointment was the meat came out COLD! I was at a loss for words honestly and embarrassed for my other half bc it was her bday and we came to the steakhouse for steak. We stopped in on Sunday evening and it was a bit busy for a table and we did not have a reservation. They did allow us to seat at the bar and order dinner. The bartender who then was also our server Jessica was amazing. She described literally every item on the menu and did a great job with suggestions. We ended up with the platter of different meats and sauces - The Associate. All of these were absolutely delicious, cooked, medium rare. We also ordered a side of whipped potatoes. Those were equally delicious. We weren't quite sure what type of wine to get so Jessica called on the sommelier to assist us. A welcome surprise was that we could put a bottle of wine off the list to try and then only get a glass each. He helped us a Cabernet, which was perfect with our meal. This location is located near Durango Casino. We were perfectly comfortable at the bar although if it was a little chillier, it might be uncomfortable because they're quite busy and the door was opening and closing often. Otherwise, each seat at the bar had a good view to one of the televisions, and we enjoyed watching the end of the Sunday night football game with a glass of Sambuca. We had some time tonight and wanted to get away from the strip properties. We saw this highly rated restaurant, Rare Society, which is fairly new and part of a small chain of restaurants. We had no reservation, and came in at 7:30pm hoping to sit at the bar as is our usual. After a short wait, 2 seats opened up and we were in business! The restaurant inside is very pleasing to the eye, fits its price point, extremely busy, and has a good vibe. Our Bartender was Tony, and he provided excellent service throughout including during a mishap out of his control. The drinks were fantastic, well thought and even really good suggestions came from Tony on how to craft a drink to our liking. As far as the food, the appetizers we selected were the broiled oysters and steamed clams. Tony suggested the bacon instead of the oysters. We should have taken that advice and passed on those oysters because they were not very good at all, overpriced, and unremarkable. The clams on the other hand was one of the best clam dishes we've had and the flavor was simply outstanding! It was so good that we even started to eat the broth like a soup after we polished off the clams, it was that good! To the entrees and this is where superior service separates marginal from top notch. We had quite a wait, about an hour between the appetizers and entrees. We understand this can happen, especially on a Saturday night in an overflowing popular restaurant. The pork tomahawk and the steak when they came were both visually appealing, had amazing flavor, and would have skyrocketed our rating to 10 stars. However, both were lukewarm, as if it was cooked and sat with the steak less than room temperature of the two. The pork was delicious and edible, and the steak had amazing flavor, cooked to specifications, and would have been a Vegas top 5 if only brought out sooner. We voiced our displeasure on the steak and Tony immediately notified the Manager, and they removed it from our bill. That type of service has an impact, and made a very positive impression on us that they were not willing to sacrifice their quality, which is excellent, for a dish that didn't check all the boxes on a jammed up night. This place exceeded my expectations. We went here for my husbands birthday as a surprise to him. My one mission was for him to enjoy a meat board and we did more than that. Our waitress was Vanessa (Karl helped us too) and she was outstanding. She explained the menu to us and let us ask questions. We started with mocktails and the rolls. The rolls are 100% worth it. We then ordered the artichoke and it was delicious. For our main course I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was some of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the executive board and it is worth it money wise. He loves steak and this was the ultimate birthday dinner surprise. He said it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! Walking into this restaurant, the place is lively. It's intimate in some areas of the restaurant, but towards the front, there's more action because the bar is right when you walk in. I sat at the bar with my friends. We were greeted by everyone behind the bar and Martha was the one who mainly took care of us. She explained the menu and recommended her favorites and why. The way she described each dish was amazing and would get you salivating before even receiving it. Her attention to detail and knowledge was what took this experience beyond what we expected. Most bartenders are able to describe a dish or two, but she knew pretty much everything on the menu. We ordered numerous dishes to share and none of them disappointed us. My favorite was definitely the artichoke hearts and the old fashion they're known for. The artichoke heart was meaty and full of flavor. The cocktail, she told us we would take a small bite of the garnish, which was made with pork belly and take a sip of the cocktail. The flavors of the cocktail was smokey with a hint of bacon and bourbon. Not too sweet. It was perfect. The oysters and hamachi were also great dishes with the flavors coming all together. Next we shared the salmon and fried chicken. Who knew the fried chicken would be as juicy in a steakhouse?! Martha told us the story behind how the "ramen" inspiration came from for the chicken. The salmon was prepared medium with truffle bits on the side and the sauce was just phenomenal. We did not have any room for dessert, so next time we'll have to try it out. Overall, the service is what was exceptional. Of course you want to go back to the food, but Martha made us feel welcome. My family and I enjoyed a great steak dinner at Rare Society, a stylish, contemporary restaurant with a bar and indoor / outdoor seating. To start, I had a Cadillac Margarita while my hubby went with the Rare Old Fashioned. For our main course, we ordered The Associate--a chef's selection of premium cuts including Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Tri Tip, and Snake River Farms Wagyu Denver. All the steaks were well-seasoned and cooked medium. We chose three sides to accompany our steaks: the Parker House Rolls with truffle butter and herbs, the Potato Au Gratin with truffle mornay and black truffles--both of which were our faves--and the Wood-Fired Broccolini, which was a bit on the salty side. To finish, we shared the Brookie Tart for dessert, a rich combo of chocolate ice cream and cookie crunch. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. read more

We came to Rare Society for Restaurant Week after having a great experience on a previous visit, but unfortunately this visit was disappointing. The Caesar salad arrived with a hair in it. Our server apologized and offered to replace it, which we appreciated, but it took about 15 minutes for the new salad to arrive. The second course was decent, but the pacing of the meal continued to be very slow. For the entrée, I ordered my ribeye medium, but it came out rare and heavily charred on the outside. The asparagus side dish was also undercooked, essentially raw in the center with only a hard char on the exterior. The service was the biggest issue of the evening. We requested a soda that didn't arrive until nearly the end of dinner, and our server rarely checked back on the table. Nobody followed up regarding the steak temperature or the overall dining experience. As for dessert, the selections felt very basic. We took them home and ultimately didn't even try them. It's unfortunate because our previous visit was excellent. This experience lacked both the food quality and service standards we expected, especially during Restaurant Week. read more

The venue is beautiful and there is indoor and outdoor seating. You can order steak platters that offer different cuts of steak or order individual steaks. They have private rooms that can accommodate up to 14 people. I highly recommend the butter cake. read more

I've been hearing about Rare Society from just about everyone--and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Our server was incredibly attentive and made some great recommendations for sides, which we all ended up loving. Honestly, everything we ordered was a hit--there wasn't a single item we didn't enjoy. The Caesar salad was coated in fluffy cheese and absolutely delicious. I had the half-dozen oysters, which were fresh and flavorful--the hot sauce they served with them was a standout. The grilled artichoke was perfectly cooked, and the sauce on the side was a great complement. For our main, we shared the Executive Board among four people. I loved the variety of cuts--some fattier, some leaner--so everyone had something to enjoy. And once again, the sauces served alongside were excellent. I'll definitely be going back! read more

A very intimate restaurant. Small bar that sits low We came in during the week and the restaurant was full. I waiter was nice. Our main course took a bit to arrive, but everything was cooked perfectly. The bread is a must try! The clams had great flavor but they were tiny. The caesar salad was well dressed and even though it looks like a lot of parm, it wilted down once you tossed the salad around. The carpaccio was good but I've never had it with hardboiled eggs. For our main course we decided on the Executive. Associate = wagyu beef and smaller portion, Executive = dry aged meats and a bigger portion. All the meats, ribeye, NY and filet were cooked perfectly. The board came with the sauces and some bone marrow. The augratin was a favorite but the nothing special about the mushrooms, but not a fan of the egg and the miso carrots were explosive in flavor but not sure if I liked them or they were too much. The warm butter was cake was super rich. I def would love to come try more items. It's a great steakhouse not on the strip/inside a casino. read more

This place is a vibe. Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the atmosphere was perfect, great music, amazing selection of wines, and the food was phenomenal. Our server before the night ended gave us some prosecco to celebrate our anniversary and also when we arrived we had a card signed by the staff, extremely thoughtful. The food we started with the Lollipop lamb which i could've had 9 of them, it was perfect. For dinner ordered denver wagyu, it was perfect no need for any sauce a cooked medium to perfection. The chicken my wife got smelled amazing and she loved the taste. Salad was amazing, not sure if it was parmesan all over the salad but truly a great salad. The macaroni and cheese didn't look the part but boy were we wrong, it knocked it out of the park. Will definitely be back and the wine pairing was perfect. So when we went to dinner one of items i ordered i didn't eat because i was full but proceeded to ask the server to pack up the raviolis in red sauce to go and the following day when i heated it up and took a bit there was clear plastic in the food im not sure where or how a piece of plastic got in my food so i did have to throw away the whole meal because now i wasn't sure how much plastic was in the food so as much as i loved the food im very disappointed read more
