This is the type of food I can see myself craving. It's simple done very, very right. I ordered a beef empanada and their chorizo sandwich. The empanada was surprisingly moist & flavorful- most empanadas I've had have been dry and quite bland, but this was a good one! The chorizo sandwich was amaaaaazing. We accidentally discovered this place while getting a foot massage next door. It is an Argentine restaurant that specializes in fresh-cut me and lots of variety of wine. We stopped and had lunch and decided to try the signature sandwich which is the Ultimate Renzo. The sandwich was fabulous to say the least and comes with grilled chicken ham bacon and a fried egg. I'm a fan of Renzo's! Obi Wan and I splitted appetizers: 3 empanadas and a sausage platter. That was a great start! Chicken, beef and spinach empanadas with chimichurri...tasty. Blood sausage and two types of chorizo with great flavor and non-super-fatty. I could always come back here for mid afternoon snack (and a beer). Then I had the Brazilian Picanha and it was delicious and tender. The portion size was excellent, definitely bigger than the average restaurants in the same price range ($13). If anything, I ordered it "medium" and I didn't think it was medium but I didn't say anything as I enjoyed bite after bite. I am used to get a little pink in my picanha but I understand that different cooking methods (or marinade) don't allow for that. Steve's choice looked really good and he seemed happy with his side dish: sautéed spinach. It looked like a lot of spinach. As a side I had the potato salad (rusa), not because I'm a big fan but it's a staple at an Argentinian restaurant. I will come back here and try their other cuts. They have the Parrilladas that I saw in other tables and seemed like a good choice for one of those days when you don't have to work afterwards and take a mandatory nap (they serve sizzling meat on a small grill on your table). They know how to cook them too! For our appetizer, we had the choice of three meats that was accompanied with their famous chimichurri sauce and bread. Holy cow. GOOD! For lunch, I was intrigued by the Mighty Renzo sandwich. You had your choice of Grilled Chicken or Beef, It was topped with Fried Eggs, Ham, Cheese, Bacon, Green Olives and Red Peppers. I omitted the ham and it was still a pretty jam packed flavorful sandwich. My boyfriend ordered their Top Sirloin sandwich. I could have eaten both including the Pommes. Now the dessert...my boyfriend and I have tried MANY Creme Brûlée's and mostly all of them have failed our taste buds. Guess what...not this place. We always opt for the Dulce De Leche Brûlée just to have something different. You have got to try it. Everything here is home made. A great Argentinian spot with delicious empanadas and sandwiches. Didn't get a chance to try the steaks, but from what I saw when I was waiting for my to go order, they looked pretty awesome as well. Got a ham and cheese panini, and though it had a bit too much brie for my taste, it was still delicious. And though I don't think of Argentina when I think of empanadas, those were as great as any I could get at Mr. Empanada or any of the other spots around town that serve stuffed puffed pastries. Also noticed a very large Argentinian wine collection as well. Bottles were there not only for dine-in customers, but as a market for shoppers too. And the beautiful thing... the corkage fee for all dine-in customers was just $6. That's a great bargain with your meal! Service was fast and friendly, and I also noticed they had a Fiorentina-Roma soccer game playing on the big screen in the back. Loved it! First time going to Renzo's on Friday after month's of driving past it on my way home. The words "passion for meat and wine" kept calling my name. The dining area is interesting, no booths, just a small area with a series of tables and chairs. A bar to your right accompanied with televisions to watch the soccer game. And at the back of the dinning area a wall lined with wine bottles for your purchase. The wait staff was friendly and we were promptly welcomed at the door and waited a brief time to be seated. I ordered the flank steak with spinach and an additional side of yuca, paired with whatever the house red was for the night. The steak was phenomenal, beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth good. The sides were great too. I got the traditional yuca, but some of the other diners highly recommended to get it fried next time. My friend also had the steak, but with a side of mashed potatoes which he raved about. We were very happy with everything we ordered. For dessert we got the flan, which was the perfect end to the dining experience, not too sweet but satisfactory. We got three meals and alcohol for around $60. The wait staff was efficient and friendly and the food is definitely worth a second try. read more

Really bad service. I waited for 5 minutes at the entrance until someone acknowledged me. I said I want to place a to go order. I was dismissingly told to go to the bar. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich and yucca fries. I was told 15 minutes. I waited right there, in front of the guy who took my order. After 35 minutes I asked what's the delay for? and my food was brought out. No apologies were given for the long wait. (It was 12:45 PM and the place was less than half full). The sandwich bread and fries were both soggy, like my food had been prepared and then let sit for a long time. The steak was decent. But I threw out the lukewarm mushy fries. This may not be a fancy or first date material restaurant but great food and customer friendly prices definitely will bring us back for more. The meats were well seasoned and the sides were delicious. The chimichurri sauce was very yummy and balanced, although it had too much olive oil for my taste, so I had to use a fork to avoid dumping all the oil onto my plate. We ordered the gnoochi as a side to share and it was a hit at the table. They have a variety of Argentinian desserts to choose from. I'm looking forward to trying them all as I return in the near future. The tostones (green plantains) are fried to a blissful crispyness. It's got everything but the kitchen sink! They also have a variety of "empanadas", basically mini-pies with chicken, beef, cheese, and other fillings. They have beautiful quiches and desserts. I had "tostones" (fried green plantains) with my "vacio" steak and I was in hog heaven. Renzo's is located in a tiny strip mall right off Dale Mabry. The short of it is, you're paying high end steakhouse pricing for an OK experience. It could have been an off night, but our server just brought zero customer service. They could only serve beer and wine which I was disappointed by, not something I would expect at a steakhouse. The tables are bare with no linen and paper napkins. Let's started with the good things. I love this restaurant for a lot of reasons . First they have a great food and reasonable price, i never had any isues with the food and location. Its very convene to get there. However the service is lacking in interest to serve. I got there on Sunday night around 7:20pm and i was greeted by a server, i told him it will be a party of 6 His response was " we are closing at 8pm and the kitchen stop coocking at 7:45pm, do you still want a table? Thats is not the way to greet a guest, but we decided to stay since we drove far away to dine here. So we get set, our server was really good, she was very attentive. But wile we were eating, the staff started to put all chairs up and started to mop the floor, it really made us few unwelcome so we paid and left. So if you guys are closing at 8pm i dont think that its appropriate to start putting chairs up and cleaning the restaurant wile people are eating. That was very unprofessional. read more

Food is fine and servers were kind, and you can tell it's a family friendly place. However, if your family member is in a wheelchair, avoid this place. I rearranged tables so I could have enough space to take my mom to the restroom. I highly doubt that the ladies room is ADA compliant. The door only opens to 45 degrees because of a closing mechanism. There isn't enough space to turn the wheelchair in the tiny space in order to get to the "handicapped" stall which is also incredibly tight. For me and my mom to both fit in a stall (she can not transfer herself), I was more or less straddling the toilet and did some contortions. If we were not both petite, it would have been impossible. Please make some adjustments to make it accessible! read more

Very unprofessional and cold behavior as she brought out our food she looked at her coworker pointing and laughing at us the whole time. Very odd vibe, Not friendly at all and for some reason always gives us an attitude.
