If I could give less than 1 star I would. WORST experience ever!---updated rating due to Sharon- she really did everything she could to make up what she could to us. Caring staff to handle these situations are just as important as every other pet of a service. 1. As they were loading my things I saw them tossing boxes upside down into the truck...boxes that clearly had "FRAGILE" marked on them. 2. When telling me and my Fiance how the insurance worked we were told and I will quote, " lets say there was a dent on your washer...they would estimate how much the damage would be worth by the size of the dent , a large dent would probably be about $100" he is saying this as they wrap my bran new $2,000 washer and dryer set.. 3.They lied about pricing..AFTER they loaded my things into their truck and were ready to leave they informed me that it was going to be $1,000 more than I was quoted for LESS items!! Instead of a sofa and coffee table we sent a wine rack and 3 large boxes, which i called ahead of time to clarify was OK. 4. I was charged extra for having a California King bed instead of a standard King...they are the same size! California King just takes a few inches from the width and puts them in the length. 5.I was charged a merchant fee ( which is ILLEGAL IN CA) for paying with card instead of cash. 6.They gave an optional 30 days of storage for free but failed to mention that the 30 days is NOT an option. 7. When I secured them as my movers they were very pushy for me to give deposit and sign with them then because pricing changes daily... being that they were the cheapest quote it made sense.. they have you e-sign a document that they paraphrase for you right then and there. not giving you time really to go over it thoroughly without feeling like you are going to lose out on the quote they gave you and later when you try to call and figure out why you were lied to and don't have your belongings they simply reply with..."you signed the document so i cant help you..." 8. They fail to mention that the minimum of ten days for delivery ( for state to state moves) is not from the day they pick your items up, as i was told...but it is actually 14-21 days and is from the first available delivery date..not the day they pick your things up. 9. after I began calling and trying to nail down an actual delivery date I was told multiple times the reason it was taking so long was because I was 46 miles out of their 1,500 mile range...I am NOT-From their storage yard I relocated 1,368 miles-From my former residence, it was 1,446 miles... not sure where they got 1,546 miles. I am currently in a house with nothing but an air mattress and a sofa for the past 3 weeks when I was told by multiple people I would have my things 10-14 days after they picked up my items... ------------------------------------------------ Since posting this review I was contacted by rhino relocations main office and worked with a woman named Sharon, not only did she truly care what happened, and how their booking agencies were treating their customers, and potential customers she seemed to actually care about our well being. She went above and beyond to try to make up in any way she could for the inconveniences that had happened. She stayed in contact with us until the issue was resolved and she definitely restored a little faith in their company. The one positive other than her recon was that our things did get delivered safe and sound and she company used to deliver was MUCH BETTER than the company that picked up. If you do decide to go with this company I suggest that you just ask lots of questions (especially about delivery time) and read through the contract to make sure their services are right for you. I had always need weary about the thought of hiring someone else to move my stuff after watching the movie "Funny Farm" so many years ago; all this time avoiding this service out of no good-born fear other then my own. now that I'm old (35) my bones and joints don't like to do like they used to and to be perfectly honest I'm just down right lazy. My brother recommend RR to get me from my apartment in Brentwood to a new place I am renting out in Culver City after just using them for his move from NYC to Chicago the week before. I took his advice and made the call, the next day I had slept in and woke up to the Rhino guys we waiting at the door for me with a cup of 7-11 coffee as a gift and way to let me know that I overslept by one hour. They didn't charge me for the hour wasted or waste any time getting to emptying the apartment I was in and filling the one I sit here writing to you now ons big juicy couch. Zero stars- I've relocated many times during military service and have never experienced such neglect and misrepresentation until our move with this company. Short version of our experience was damaged furnishings and understated costs that ballooned well into several thousand more during the move from California to Colorado. This company offered to settle with less than a thousand related to total costs and damages, IF WE AGREED TO GIVE A POSITIVE REVIEW. This people, is similar to blackmail, holding claims due to only be released for a favorable review however, my wife and I decided to keep our negative posts up and Rhino to keep their measly $800 and seek legal action. Also must add, we've submitted photos to Rhino related to the damaged wood furnishings depicting gouging and deep scratches, broken trim and sliced patio ottoman webbing and their response was it's only cosmetic damage and not worth half our claim. After 12 years of life in Pasadena and eight months after meeting me on a visit to his family, my boyfriend decided it was time to come back home to Seattle and left the details of how to make it happen to me. With some valuable art to be moved, I knew I needed professional (read: insured) movers, called four and decided on Rhino. I flew down two days before the packing date to cull, donate, and basically get rid of anything redundant. On packing day, all I had to do was stay out of the way; the team didn't mess around - from the moment they arrived, they got down to business and kept at it until it was done. They were experts at packing the art (even treated the framed posters with the same care). The next day, the truck arrived to load everything up - it took about two hours; not bad for a three bedroom house and garage. Like the packers, the heavy lifters were fast, efficient, and professional. The truck arrived here in Seattle on schedule, was quickly unloaded, every item accounted for, and the beds even set up. I feel like all of the good reviews are for people who moved fairly local. It seems like the cross country movers are the ones who disagree with their service and I am one of them. I hired a company called Cross Country Moving Group who I thought was the moving company and they hired Rhino Relocation. I obviously had no choice in who was going to be moving my items and I didn't even know who Rhino was. Needless to say, when they came to pick up my items, I was charged an extra $5K for the items and an extra $500 just to use my Credit Card. I had to use my card because I didn't have $11000 on me. Then when I got the items; which some of was broken and damaged, I was charged an additional $650. I've been trying to get a receipt for the extra charge so I can be reimbursed from the company I work for. We are still working on our email that has our damaged items to see if the company will do anything to help. So far, no luck. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!! First mistake I made was listing my pending move with a website that turned out to be some sort of broker. That's where Rhino found me. They called about 20 times and I finally answered. The guy, Mik, was so slimy but gave me a good price. He kept saying "we are friends, right?" Um, NO! Anyway the price was good so I agreed and signed an electronic charge deposit for $400.00, with most of the balance due IN CASH upon pick-up (red flag). He then gave me a long story about my stuff being third on the truck and I was getting a deal because now the truck would be full and could head out.I then read the reviews on here and was afraid they would raise my rate upon pick-up. I measured each and every carton to figure out the EXACT CUBE of my load and called the guy back. He told me he could not assist me, that I had to call someone else. Note that all email correspondence comes from "yourmovequote.com", NOT RHINO. I then spoke with Takesha and gave her the updated cube. She charged me an additional deposit of $142.62. Note, the "Contract" that they sent me did not have the total move cost anywhere on it (red flag #2). I then received a call from some guy, the day before the scheduled move. He stated he was from "the moving company", no mention of Rhino (red flag #3). Even though it was a day early I told them to come on to the house. They showed up in an unmarked box truck, not a moving van. I mentioned for them to pull right into the driveway, but he insisted on parking on the street. He got out with a clipboard and asked to see the load, which was all in the garage (no furniture, just boxes and a 13' sailboat). He looked and said the estimate was too low and said it would be double the estimate, plus a $350.00 "oversize share for the boat. I had been quoted a $75.00 oversize charge for the boat at time of estimate. I called both Mik and Takesha who both said they couldn't help me, but would have someone call me (never happened). At this point I told the driver to leave and called my credit card company. Rhino, or whoever accepted the deposit from me contested my charge reversal and I finally gave up, chalking this up to a $542.00 lesson. When I went to read their reviews, Yelp sent out a notice that they had evidence that Rhino was paying people to remove bad reviews (a copy is posted in another review). Read ALL of the reviews for these guys before having any contact with them. read more

Rhino Relocation did a excellent job! I gave them a call and a rep quickly picked up. They were able to give me a quote for my requested move which was, in my opinion, quite reasonable when taking in consideration what many other local movers charge. The move itself proceeded rather smoothly. The movers came in on time and were very courteous and professional. They proceeded to work efficiently and handled my furniture carefully and furniture that would get scratched/dinged easily were wrapped up in plastic or cloth covers. Everything was loaded up very well and I noticed no damages to my furniture. The truck arrived ahead of schedule as well to my new house. Zero stars. Rhino Relocation is a complete rip-off. The moving content was already packed properly by local movers and kept in a storage unit in the Bay area of CA with a size of 10x10 x10 ft, filling only half of the space. They just had to move this stuff to San Diego CA (600 miles). I had already moved to the new location so one of my friends in the Bay area opened the storage unit for them and signed off on the inventory. 1) Getting the dates for pick up and delivery were numerous times changed and turned out to be incorrect on a last min basis making the settling planning before strat of a new job almost impossible 2) Lots of unnecessary re-packing with extra charges happened at the pick up justified by assuring no/less damage 3) The final cost of moving the stuff with a half volume of 10x10x10 ft over a 600 miles were $3300, twice the initial estimate 4) Upon delivery the glass curio and several crystal glasses, plates and art work were broken 5) Several boxes carrying tags for each room got placed in wrong rooms 6) The cash I had at home, got stolen by one of the movers who was under the influence of drug usage (Rhino returned the stolen cash to me provided I cancel the police call) 7) They offered $6 as compensation for my damage claim worth of $1000. 8) The stress this moving experience caused me as a single woman lasted at least one month. This was the worst Mover I've ever used for an interstate move. First, let me warn you that in their sales pitch, Rhino mentioned that they would not outsource or sub-contract out any part of the move and that I would be dealing with Rhino from the beginning of the move to end. Well, that part was certainly not true. Rhino did pickup my household goods from a storage facility in CA. They quickly turned around and outsourced the long-haul move from CA to TX to another company. The sub-contractor certainly did not have any regards for good customer service. Not only did the sub-contractor not make the requested delivery date, but he missed his own re-scheduled date and tried to get additional cash to complete the move. Additionally, I am unpacking and experiencing various damages to my household goods. I will be filing a complaint on this company with the BBB and hopefully the part of the government that handles deceptive trade practices so that no one else has to go through the long ordeal that I just completed with Rhino Relocation and All In One Moving & Storage companies. I had to move across the country with my one year old son and chose this company. The worst mistake because of this company not providing me with the proper documents I am out $7000. They are horrible!!! They showed up 5 hours late, only to tell us that our furniture was oversized... Its not! They had given us a bid on the phone with a detailed list of inventory and matched the price that another company (that actually came out) had quoted. Once they arrived they said it was going to cost $1500.00 more than I was quoted. They would not even negotiate and I was basically held hostage because it was so late on a Saturday that we didn't have any choices, as we were moving out of state. I only went with Rhino Relocation because of their great reviews. Once my possessions were delivered to Utah, there were numerous broken items. A table leg was broken right off, a chair was broken and our patio heater was bent. Many boxes were crushed. I will never use or recommend Rhino Relocation. I am a real estate broker and have moved many times. This was not a good experience and we were very disappointed! Beware of the other reviews. They are fabricated stories! Mostly 3rd party reviews. We started our move with C and D movers which became a nightmare. Weeks of stress melted away with a 5 mind call with Sharon. She's the perfect example of customer service, listening to my complaints about c&d, and while bearing no responsibility for another company's bad service, has taken it upon herself to keep me informed and has gone above and beyond!!! Really has a smile on her voice. Shout out to the moving crew who were fast, friendly, and knew what they were doing. Wish he would have printed his name at least once on the contract so I could read it to mention him by name haha. (Pro tip: print your name once) More serious note Anyone higher up at rhino reading this should seriously reconsider taking any orders from C and D movers. People were polite. I received a quote and because they could give me a pick up date that was within about a week I signed the contract and gave them the non refundable deposit. They called the next day and took another inventory at which time I gave them dimensions of the furniture and reminded them that this was a storage unit but I wasn't moving all the items... I agreed to a larger size that minimally increased the price and signed that contract. No proper communication on pick up date time. 2.on the pick up day they charged me double than the given quote saying am using more space(Sq ft) actually i didn't use. 3.delayed the delivery date. when checked with customer service, got irresponsible message. 4.on delivery. with out prior information they were standing in-front apartment giving me call for delivery. i had to rush back from office. 5. received most of the wooden furniture broken into pieces and didn't deliver TV(it was brand new and 55 inch). 6.delivered someone package at my home, i sent couple of mails to take back the item which was delivered wrongly but they bothered to take and deliver to the right person. 7. after 2 months of investigation finally found TV is missing, could not able to locate my missing TV. 8. they know what mistake they have done but still my claim is in progress. I have much more to add to it. but in simple i don't want people like me to trust these people and use their worst and irresponsible service ever! read more

This review is long overdue because I moved a long time ago so this was way overdue. When I contacted Rhino Relocation, they responded immediately. I had movers confirmed within an hour and they squeezed me in on a Sunday. The moving went in a wonderfully. I was lucky to hire reliable and trustworthy movers because I have heard the horror stories about the other guys. The guys showed up at my door, split in different rooms and started packing immediately. I really felt like these guys really respected me and my time. Within a few hours the job was done... professionally, cordially and timely... the guys were so helpful and willing to help us in any way that they could. The great part was that I paid the initial price and didn't pay a dollar more, because they were great enough to keep the contract valuable and not charge me more, that I heard it can happen as it sometimes with some other moving companies. I just helped a friend move from L.A. to Sacramento. He used these guys to move his furniture and big items. The moving guys were extremely careful at handling all his stuff. They were also very quick. I've used a moving company before and the guys seemed to be very slow just to run out some of the clock to make more hourly charges; not these guys. They were quick as could be and got everything in the truck very carefully. They bubble wrapped everything. I tried to help but they were so quick that I was only able to get in a couple things. They also drove very safely to Sacramento and unloaded just as quick as they loaded. If there was a Rhino up where I live, I would totally use them for my next move! read more

It's been a long hard week but I have to say that using these guys to help me move cross-country was one of the best decisions that I've made. I was thrown into a very difficult decision as we either move for positive reasons are negative reasons after family disaster I was required to move to another state quite frankly I didn't know where to begin. So like everybody else I went on Google and search for Movers many of them came up and I actually got quotes for many of them Rhino it was one of the first ones to come to my home and give me a price face to face although making a decision for a mover isn't the easiest for me it was since I have been dealing with so many other issues. David the gentleman who came to my home was kind informative and sincere regarding the moving process. I made it clear to him and the other Representatives that I have been through a lot and was really looking for the easiest smoothest possible process to move my items. After going between two different companies I decided on David and his company. On the day of the move the guys were late by an hour but I understood that as we live in LA and there's always traffic. The crew arrived with smiles and ready to work what I thought would take all day took about 7 hours. I did end up paying about $300 more than the original quote because I added some packing of my family's heirlooms. My sister who was on the receiving end said that the other crew that deliver it was just as great as the ones that picked up there were a few damages but I can understand since accidents happen. All that being said I'm glad this process is done and I wouldn't want to do it again but these guys did a great job and I would definitely recommend them. read more

These guys where do I start. The broker I used was dishonest about everything they told me. I was suppose to be notified 5 days before and wasn't, the only way I new is I called them and found out it was the next day for pick up. I had to find someone to work for me. Then I asked is there anything else I should know. They said half the money down is due tomorrow, uh what I was told only a deposit which I already paid. Then when they get there I was told it would be more if they think the weight is more. Then my stuff is finally shipped or I think. I told them I needed my stuff by 23-25 that's when I would be home. Never heard anything until the 22nd stating they were leaving from Cali, what I'm suppose to be delivered in Ohio in the next few days. I am beyond mad. 2 weeks waiting on a Superviser to call me. This is where Rhino steps in with this wonderful women named Sharon who apologizes and tries to find out what's going on. Then I found out my stuff is being delivered on a Sunday with no one from the broker ever contacting me again. So once again this wonderful women Sharon from Rhino helped me through and got me delivered with everything perfect.. There were 3 guys from Rhino In Cali that moved my stuff they were so good and treated my stuff like there own. They packed each and everything like it was glass. They never got frustrated and continued working no matter how hot or tired they were. Then Manny the driver that delivered my stuff to my home was awesome. He was so nice and. Professional and contacted people at rhino to tell them what happened. I wish I would of went through them instead of the broker. I would recommend these guys to everyone. I moved from Palm Springs, CA to Richland, WA in March 2016. Dealing with the salesman in Florida was what I thought to be a good experience. He was johnny-on-the-spot, gave me lots of time and information and I was comforted into trusting this moving company. That was a mistake. The scheduling was confusing - different people telling me different days of when they were coming to load. The morning they were supposed to come, no one showed and I received no call explaining why. Every call I made to them got redirected and eventually I was told someone would call me back. It didn't happen. The next morning I received a call saying they couldn't come for two more days - I wasn't happy as it really impacted my schedule. After I hung up from that call I received another - from the driver saying he was 45 minutes out. Obviously the right hand and the left hands were not communicating. Not a comforting thought. I was quoted for a full move - they pack. Because there ended up being extra time, I opted to do a lot of the packing of my valuable stuff myself. The salesman I was dealing with said that any boxes I packed would reduce the quote. That motivated me to keep going. I had 95% of it packed by the time the movers showed up. The guys loading did a wonderful job. They were quick and careful. But when it was all loaded and I was to sign the papers they increased the price by almost double. They said it was 1) because I had way more stuff than what was quoted. That surprised me because there was a few things removed from the original list and about the same amount added. Then 2) because I packed my own boxes, the base price was increased. Apparently I was misinformed that if I did my own packing the price would be reduced; instead it increased. Standing there in the empty condo ready to begin my long drive I wasn't in a good position to argue. I poorly negotiated it down to where the price was increased by "only $1,500". At that time I also heard for the first time about the cost of insurance. I could pay another $1,000+ for replacement cost insurance, or go with what they carry - $0.60 per pound. Shell shocked by the cost I was already paying I opted for their insurance. Problem was I did not hear the part that it was $0.60 per pound PER ITEM. Because they take the load to a distribution center and combine it with other loads heading the same direction, it took 21 days for my stuff to arrive (it's a 20 hour drive by car). When it arrived, there were only two people and it was after dark. The truck driver refused to back down the driveway, and we had to use two pick up trucks ourselves for them to unload into and move the stuff into the garage. I was up in the moving truck helping direct which stuff went where and saw how it was loaded. OMG! Heavy boxes of books (well marked) stacked on top of fragile boxes of crystal (special fragile moving boxes for glass and dishes). My triple dresser was on end and leaning precariously against the side. The damage to my things was tremendous. Replacement cost of damaged material was well over $2,000. I contacted the claims company and that is when I discovered the per pound per item issue. We had to weigh every damaged piece (a triple dresser, night stands, a bureau, a kitchen island, etc. etc.) Not an easy task. But we actually did just that. I also had to photograph all damage (not a problem) and look up replacement values. Plus I was informed any breakage in boxes that I packed myself they would not be responsible for. It took me nearly a month to fill out the claim per their demands (CSI). It says right in the documents that if anything was wrong with the way the claim was submitted, it would not be accepted. Because of the $0.60 per pound, my claim ended up being for $412. This is for more than $2,000 of damage. I submitted the claim April 21st. I received a settlement offer of $159 on August 23rd, four months later. Needless to say I do not recommend Rhino Relocation to anyone. read more

Moving with Rhino Relocation is so easy, so efficient, and so stress-free. They handle everything with excellent care that your housewares deserve; I was stunned to see the amount of care that the movers used with not only my furniture, but my boxes as well. Everything was treated amazingly well. This is really as good as it gets.The shipping process was highly efficient and the staff communicates so well. I could always call in for more information and the calls were always pertinent and helpful. I loved working with their entire team. So many movers in the area are huge and have undervalued staff that are unable to be as personable and friendly as Rhino's movers are. Their cost is nothing compared to other big name moving companies in the area, as well. They go above and beyond during a stressful time to make sure that you are always at ease. It was a scary experience moving cross-country. I was worried that all of my things wouldn't make it across the country, I was worried that the movie "Breakdown" would happen to me whilst driving myself out to LA from MA, and that I'd have to re-buy all of my possessions after all of my furniture and household items and prized vinyl collection either mysteriously disappeared or was sold to a criminal organization that I had to buy back from. Luckily, this was not the case at all. Rhino were thorough, professional, and assuaged all of my concerns from the start. They maintained solid communication throughout, were attentive to detail, and all of my things arrived unscathed at my new place out west. Rhino are top-notch for handling my goods in a way that I would have done myself if I were to handle it, and made a major part of a very stressful experience a non-issue and one less thing to worry about. Worst experience I've ever had!! I received a new job opportunity in Texas starting January. Unfortunately we hired Rhino Relocation to move our belongings from California to Texas because they were the cheapest quote we received ( as they say you get what you pay for). So we signed the quote and payed the "nonrefundable" deposit. They charge my credit card twice for the deposit. After dealing with them for a week about the double charge they refunded one of the charges. After that they automatically re-quoted us two more times for higher amounts demanding we pay the deposit over again. So we decided to cancel the move with them and go with a actual reputable van line mover. After calling them for over two weeks and leaving voicemails we finally reached a customer service representative. I explained to her what was going on. I explained that I wanted to cancel my move and when I asked for my deposit to be refunded she immediately got angry and hostile with me then hung up the phone. I had to call back and talk to another customer service representative and ask them to cancel my move. I would recommend anyone looking at this company to look elsewhere. They will steal your money, be rude and disrespectful and by the looks of all the other reviews online they will also damage all of your belongings. read more

The experience that I had with this company has made my transition from living on the west coast back was much smoother. From the very first call to the follow up that was presented after the move, I felt completely secure in the abilities of the staff and movers. I did not have a lot of things that i needed moved, but the little that I did have was very valuable to me. I have had many companies move my things and break it and then charge me for things that I did not even use. The one thing that I love about this is that I got everything done in a reasonable price and there was no hidden charges at the end. Although some of my items were moved into a storage unit, they took care of everything with care. This is something that I appreciate and admire about this company. I will definitely be using them again if I ever decide to go back to California. read more

My son used Rhino Relocation to move from California to Ohio. The truck showed up on schedule, so that part went well. I had a manifest of box numbers to make sure all of his belongings got unloaded. The movers kept moving boxes into the storage unit without telling me the numbers, even though I kept asking what box they had. We ended up with a few boxes without numbered stickers but we seemed to have the right number of boxes so we gave up. There was a large tent in a bag that had no sticker that they told us was his. I phoned and indeed, it was not his. They wanted to leave it anyway!!! We made them take it. Fast forward 3 months when he unloaded his storage unit. A very large, extremely heavy box didn't look familiar so we opened it. It contained sensitive personal paperwork, including military papers, health records and social security numbers. I emailed Rhino to report this and asked that they have the owner of the box contact me. All emails were ignored. I then called them and they gave me the number of the man it belonged to. I phoned him and explained that I had his papers. He told me he had called MULTIPLE times to report the box missing. No one connected my emails with his reports. We called Rhino and asked how they were going to get this box to him. I was told they would send me a prepaid call tag. It never arrived. Called back and another person told me they never do that and that I was expected to send it at my personal expense. I wasn't happy with that but they insisted it had to be done this way. The box was pretty destroyed in the move and was too heavy for me to lift by myself, so I reboxed everything into two smaller boxes and took to UPS. $75 and a week later, my emails requesting refund status are being ignored. I just sent a third email asking when I would be reiumbursed. If I don't get a response by early next week, my next call will be to the Attorney General. Motto of the story? USE A BETTER MOVER!!!!! Extremely poor customer service. My son's things were in good shape but the gentleman who owns the box tells me several of his things were damaged. read more

Rhino Relocation helped me when I had to help my grandma move to a nursing home. My grandmother has early signs of alzeimer's disease.I was visiting my grandma and felt overwhelmed at the packing that needed to be done since I was there by myself. I was also nervous that I wouldn't be able to find a moving company I could afford.Fortunately I had Rhino Relocation to help me. They packed and wrapped her things QUICKLY! and CAREFULLY! They are also available 7 days a week. My grandma has a lot of breakable knickknacks that I was concerned about, but the Rhino Relocation staff knew what to do. I was also impressed by the reasonable rates of Rhino Relocation. The staff was also very pleasant and respectful. They told me not to worry and everything would be done in a speedy manner. They were also very kind to her when she explained how she didn't want the picture frames of my late grandfather to break in the move. I highly recommend this company. Rhino Relocation treated her things like gold,and got them to her new home in plenty of time. read more
