UPDATE ON OUR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH RHINO RELOCATION: This disgusting company offered us $200.70 to compensate us for their employees deliberately destruction and damage to our property AND for the theft of my jewelry!! They sent me a blank settlement agreement and told me to fill it out, putting the $200.70 as the agreed upon settlement. No way!! Then they just sent me another e-mail to tell me that the company has agreed to pay us an additional $100 to keep us as satisfied customers, bringing the total to $300.70. That amount doesn't even pay for one pair of my earrings that their mover helped himself to. I was very pleased with my experience with Rhino Relocation. A good friend needed to move from LA back to Texas. Due to his work schedule and other complications, I was tasked with finding the service to move him. I am very apprehensive about moving companies. I have heard many horror stories, and even experienced a few of them myself. However, my experience with Rhino Relocation was a very good one. They were attentive to my concerns, and answered all of my questions. I felt really comfortable talking with them, and I knew they were the right choice to make the multi state move with. On moving day, they were prompt and professional. The movers were very courteous and went above and beyond to help make the move as easy as possible. They made life a lot easier for her and since she's busy unpacking - and I arranged the move - I'm writing this review as they also made my life easier! I researched other cross country movers based in LA and was somehow drawn to this company. The rates were good and they just sounded very easy to deal with and professional on the phone. Shelley said that dealing them eased her mind too; she was able to leave her belongings with them and fly to Miami in a more relaxed state. I moved from Sherman Oaks CA to Oregon. Rhino gave me an estimate, and then once the truck was loaded it increased the estimate. When the truck arrived one day late in Oregon (because of lack of paperwork at border) on Thanksgiving Day, I was informed they needed to reload onto a smaller truck for delivery and it would be an additional $1,000 for a total of $13,000. (3-bedroom house). They bring a huge truck with several deliveries that can't functionally park without transferring to a smaller truck. I was not told of this beforehand. Almost all furniture had dings, lots of broken dishes, damaged art pieces, and split my vacuum in half so it was unuseable. My dining room chair was broken in half. I filed a claim with CSI, their claims processing dept. Sent pictures of items broken or damaged. After several months they offered me $24 in compensation. We are so thankful for the services of this moving company! After hearing stories from other loved ones moving across the country, we were quite concerned with the whole experience. Luckily for me, my counsin Daniell did her research and found Rhino Relocation. They did such a great job helping myself and cousin move to Ohio. Right when we called, the woman on the phone was super kind and helpful with all our questions about the different moving options they provided. They even sent us movers who helped us move all our heavy dressers and bed frames into the truck. Thank goodness because my cousin and I can barely lift a table together. Our move to Ohio would not be remotely possible if it wasn't for the help of Rhino Relocation. The movers were also very friendly and careful with moving all our stuff. I must say is this a a great company! My parents were moving from CA to South Carolina and had 30 years worth of stuff that needed to get moved. I was stressing out as I had never done a large move before. I reached out to 4 different companies and decided to go with Rhino. I am so happy i did. Mia was my move coordinators and he was so helpful. She set up a home inspection to have some one go to my parents home and do an estimate for all the things that needed to get moved. Joshua, the home estimator was polite and professional. He followed up with a price quote immediately after which included a detailed list of items. The price was comparable to the other companies I was looking into as well. Due to the feeling I had with both Mia and Joshua I decided to move with these guys On the Moving Day: The team of 5 arrived about 20 minutes early. The team leader was great. I walked him around and explained my mom had lots of glass items and wanted to ensure it was packed properly as to not break during the move. Again, No problem. The team got started as quickly as they go there. It was enjoyable to watch as silly as that sounds, but they did a phenomenal job packing everything. From packing to taking the list of items. They knocked it out of the park. I didn't have to do anything but sit to the side and let them work their moving magic About a week later: I received a call from the dispatch team advising me the truck was on the road and the driver would call me a day or two before arrival. He called me about 2 days before arriving and then again 24 hours prior to the arrival date to confirm the Saturday delivery and estimate time of arrival. On the Delivery Date: The guys and truck arrived on time. All the boxes and items were removed from the truck and carefully put into the storage unit. They carefully checked all the boxes and items off as they unloaded the truck and put the items inside. I cant say anything about damages yet as we have not unpacked the unit as that will be an adventure of its own. So all in all, it was a great move, stress free and reasonably priced. read more

I had some furniture and other items I needed to move from Socal to Chicago and so I did some online research for some highly-rated moving companies located in the Los Angeles-area. After doing the needed research I contacted the moving companies to see what they'd charge me for the move. I got five quotes and Rhino Relocation was the lowest quote by almost $500. I was shocked because they have excellent ratings on Yelp--amazing they would be the cheapest. I coordinated with their office and everything went to plan. They made sure to use plenty of protection on my furniture/items and everything got to me undamaged. Everyone I dealt with, from their movers to management are awesome and they did a great job. I have had so many horrific experiences moving in the past, but Rhino renewed my faith that I can have a low-stress move. Let me preface all of this by saying: I am the queen of procrastination. I called them only like 9-10days before this huge move from CA to DC. They managed to handle my late request. When they arrived, of course, I wasn't quite ready. (I know, I'm glad they can't rate me as a customer, haha.) They graciously started downstairs while I finished upstairs. They took really good care of my furniture. I have a bunch of glass tables and fragile art and it all made it through the cross country move! I was shocked. While I had the pleasure of taking a 6-hour flight, Rhino worked hard and made sure I had a peaceful move. The price of the move was comparable, or lower to anywhere else that I called for a quote- and the quote was surprisingly accurate. The time that I moved before this, the quote was off by 25%!!!!!! This time, the difference between the actual price and quote was less than $20. The move started ok with pick up, then somehow along the way the drivers ( who were outsourced) stopped communicating very well . The truck broke down , no one kept in contact, I sat at home for an entire day waiting for my thing and no one showed up. My delivery was 7 days late!!!! It was very frustrating ! Rhino Relocation is a scam. Do not work with this company. When they arrived to move my stuff Mariano told me the quote wasn't nearly close to the amount of stuff I have even though they inspected everything I have prior to giving me the quote. They proceed to charge me double. When my stuff arrived it was clear that Mariano and his crew had stolen a 65inch TV and several other items from me costing thousands of dollars. I reported and documented this properly. When this happens you have to go through a third party to process your claim and that process is a disaster. They sent EBAY links of used items and said they would only pay out a portion of my claim because they saw an item listed on eBay for that price which wasn't even the same product that was stolen from me. Stay away from this company at all costs there are much better and trustworthy moving companies out there. They also broke my China plates but said they aren't liable because it wasn't documented at delivery which is a lie and infact was. Don't waste your time with these crooks! read more

I called these guys when I needed to move a lot of furniture a to MA, and they made everything really simple & easy. It required next to no effort on my part, other than carefully wrapping some of the more fragile items to ensure they were well packaged. For the rest, the Rhino guys came, wrapped up the furniture, packed it in the truck, delivered on time, and unloaded everything to the various rooms I requested. They saved me a ton of hassle of having to rent a Uhaul truck, and probably still have to make multiple trips. The rates were reasonable, they arrived on time, and delivered everything on time. I have yet to find any broken or damaged items, which was a big concern of mine. I would highly recommend this company if you have any sort of sizable move coming up; they make the whole processes very easy and stress free. read more

I tried using this company to have my sister moved from Carson Ca to the state of Washington & i had an additional stop in downtown Los Angeles to pick up my Dad's belongings from his Studio. My family is purchasing a home in Washington so Rhino was going to store the household items @ their Van Nuys warehouse .The entire thing ended up being a nightmare. When you call their phone number 323 705-3363 they answer Rhino but apparently it's their booking agents who apparently don't work for them this is according to Marie Montgomery from Rhino's billing department phone number 800 743-0883. I did a visual of my sister's house with Zack at the 323 phone number on 11/15/19 ref#572119. Zack didn't send someone for the visual, we did it over the phone via an app that Zack had me download called Zoom. After a few days of going back & forth about the price we settled for 11,963 minus the $1,459.00 deposit left me a balance for $10,504.02 for the pick date of 12/14/19 (Saturday) On 12/14/19 the crew shows up with a crew of 4 guys plus a foreman or supervisor named Rick who was in charge. I was told by Rhino's dispatch the day before that they would call me 1/2 hour before arriving to let me know they were on their way. I obviously wasn't there & they got there 1/2 hour before they were supposed to. Not my fault they didn't call or I would've been there, we had no problem with them get there earlier. Problem was Rick is RUDE, degrading, and said I was misquoted by Zack & that the truck they had brought wasn't going to fit everything we had, not to mention my dad's studio. Rick said we had more like 4000 cubic feet & that it was going to cost $25,000-30,000. Then said he called his supervisor & it was going to cost $17,500-$17,000. The entire office is closed on Saturdays. He wouldn't load the truck unless I agreed to pay that. I didn't agree of course since that is not what I was quoted by far. We had even taken some of the inventory out from what we had showed Zack. So Rick & the crew left without my family's household goods. How is it also my fault that they brought a small truck & that I was misquoted. On December 17th I get a phone call from Rhino's billing department from Marie Montgomery. She tells me Zack doesn't work for Rhino that he is a booking agent for Rhino. Yet I gave Zack a deposit of 1,459.00 on 11/25/19 via PayPal with an invoice that said Rhino. Never thought about checking my PayPal that the payment doesn't say Rhino it says Moving Services info@longdistancedepartment.com so because of that Marie says that because it wasn't Rhino who directly processed the payment over the phone they have no physical control of the refund. On top of this she sends me estimate #5552674 for @19,918 minus the deposit of $1,459.00 which is almost double the quote that Zack gave me. These people are crazy. This is total BS if you ask me, had they been honest from the get go from Zack stating he is a booking agent or a broker, to sending Rick who apparently should've been the one who did the actual visual, none of this would have happened and I wouldn't of wasted my time or money. Even with the extra stop, the movers were still friendly. The movers worked fast and safely. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY DON'T WARRANT EVEN 1 STAR! In June, I hired Rhino Relocations or Move and Relocations to move us cross country from CA to FL. We were contracted for an entire 26' box truck, and had an additional one on reserve if needed.Two days before our move, the company called telling us there is an issue with the pricing and we need to pay more money for the space we need in the trailer and that some of our items we are moving will have an additional charge. After going back and forth with the person, he said he was going to speak with his manager and get back to us. Within 30 minutes, we received a call from a representative apologizing. He said he listened to the recorded call and the previous rep was incorrect and there were no issues with our order or rates.Then, the night before our love we were contacted by the driver of his time of arrival. He then started discussing our items that we were moving and as long as we didn't leave anything off the moving list we would be fine. I explained that we had already been round and round with the other rep regarding this and informed him that he just needs to be prepared to pack the entire box truck. The driver stated we would talk and go through everything when he arrived. So now, the day of the move the driver and two other individuals show up and we did a walk through of all of our belongings. He then stated this job was underbid and he refused to move us for our rate. We told him we were not paying more for our move, as we have a contract, so he left. I then spent half the day on the phone with the moving company being passed around from person to person. They stated this was unprofessional of him and the driver did call me back to try and negotiate terms. When I refused and raised my voice he told me I was rude. I called the company back and explained that he just called me and questioned how he could show up the day of my move and try to extort us for more money. I really don't understand how this company allowed this to happen. There was nothing they could do for us that day if we didn't want that driver to come back. Of course I didn't want that driver to come back after the encounter we had. Can you imagine the stress this put my husband and I in? We were flying out to FL the next night and needed our belongings moved. We had no other choice but to rent a u-haul and load the truck ourselves and drive it cross country. Scam over Scam over Scam. Make sure to read your contracts word for word. Upon arrival for your pick up, they will draft a "NEW" contract, that they will try to make you rush through. This "NEW" contract will go against everything they initially promised you. They will call you a million times a day to get your business, but once they have your money, they'll put you on the bottom of their list. I have phone call recordings of the promises they made and am willing to provide it to anyone that would like to hear and get an idea of what this company is like. After insisting on many different levels for an in-home estimate to make sure that they don't bump the price upon pick up, they assured me that the quote in the estimate was more than enough space. I itemized all my boxes and furniture and even provided measurements. Yet, upon pick up, they ended up charging me $727.00 more. Then they promised me door-to-door service "as they advertise on their website". On top of that, they also promised me a free shuttle service that was included in my estimate on my initial binding contract. 3 weeks after they picked up my stuff, they called me and said that my furniture is ready to be dropped off, HOWEVER, I had to pay for the shuttle service. Also, each day after the delivery drop off date would cost an additional $750.00. They would also charge $75.00 for each flight of stairs they go up (7staris = 1 flight of stairs). I had to rent a truck myself, go to the warehouse, empty other peoples boxes, and pack my stuff into the truck I rented. On top of that 85% of my stuff was crushed. I ALSO HAVE PHOTOS OF HOW THEY TREAT YOUR STUFF AND PACK IT INTO THE TRUCKS IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A LOOK. Prior to considering any move using these Rhino, demand the following: 1-in-person estimate, nothing over the phone with "Ray," 2-during the day of move, keep a very watchful eye on every single item leaving your front door and double-check that every single item is both tagged and is entered on the manifest/checkout form, 3-likewise at the receiving end, very carefully match every single item coming off the truck against the manifest/check-in form. As they charge by volume and not time, the extra spent keeping an eye on your stuff costs you nothing. Had we done that, we would have avoided: 1-needless upcharges and the come-on estimate, 2-missing expensive and irreplaceable items, 3-damage damage damage. This was easily the most expensive and worst moving experience in my life. I have moved many times in many years, and nothing begins to compare with what a terrible experience this was. I used this company for my move from California to Colorado in February 2017. I chose Rhino Relocation as my moving company because they expressed that it was a family company with great customer service, but my experience was not very positive. When we planned my move, I emphasized that it was extremely important that my belongings arrive in Colorado prior to my first day of work on Monday, February 13 because I would immediately start working 12-hour days with little access to my phone. Mia assured me that if the movers picked up my belongings from my house in California by January 28, then they would arrive in Colorado on time. That was not accurate. I never received any updates, so on Sunday, February 12, I called dispatch to see what was going on. Dispatch told me that the driver of the truck would call me, but he never did. When I called him on Monday, February 13, he said he would arrive on Tuesday, February 14 between 1pm and 4pm. I asked him to please come after 5pm when I got off work. He told me that he would call me after 5pm. Once again, he never called. When I called him around 6pm on Tuesday, February 14, he told me that his truck "broke down" and he wasn't coming. He didn't even give me the courtesy of letting me know the truck was "broken down" until I called him an hour after he said he would call me. Then he said he would come at 5am on February 15. Although this would be incredibly annoying to my neighbors, I told him to come because I really needed my belongings. However, he sent me a text message at 1am telling me that he would instead come at noon on February 15, even though I had told him repeatedly that I don't get home from work until after 5pm. He finally arrived on Wednesday, February 15 around 6pm. The two guys who unloaded my boxes were not careful at all. They were basically wearing pajamas and did not act like professionals. Even though many of the boxes were clearly labeled as fragile, these guys were just throwing stuff around with no regard for what might be inside the boxes. They also spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to assemble my small dining table, and when they finished the whole table was crooked and wobbly and I had to take it apart and reassemble it myself. Several screws were missing. My printer was also damaged at some point during the move. Many of the boxes were ripped open and completely smashed. read more

I took off work to get a person out to give me a in home estimate. The day of the estimate they never showed up during the window they were suppose to be here. I called them and something came up so they were going to have to reschedule for another day. I took the day off work for this quote, and they don't even have the courtesy to call and reschedule. I don't know how anyone would trust them moving their items if they don't have enough decency to call you beforehand and reschedule. I am on a tight moving deadline and if they can't keep their word then I can't trust them. On top of that they texted me every single day and called me twice a day trying to set up a moving quote that I had obviously already set up. In my opinion they sounded a little desperate. We paid a deposit of $825 January 21,2020 after receiving a quote and we were told that it was refundable. When the quote increased as we were closer to the move date, we decided to cancel Rhino's services. We tried to dispute the charges in February because we weren't getting refunded. Unfortunately, our bank said we have to deal with Rhino. We made a complaint with the BBB. Rhino stated to the BBB on July 15, 2020, that the refund was in process. Then again on September 15, 2020, Rhino said the refund was in process. We still have not received our refund. I would put zero stars if possible. read more

They originally quoted us $7,500. Then when the movers showed up they increased it to $10,600. Then when our stuff arrive they said they couldn't deliver it because their truck was too big for the neighborhood and we had to pay another $1,000 to change trucks deliver it. The guy who delivered it showed up alone to move all of our furniture and boxes in, which is a joke. He finally got a helper to show up hours later. Lastly, we had many items that were delivered damaged. We followed the proper process of filing a claim with their independent company 4 months ago and it's still unresolved. My conclusion from this experience is that I should have left all my stuff behind and saved my money to buy new furniture, or just moved it myself with a rented truck. read more

I had spoken to the booking agent Erol who promised me a guaranteed 2500 from my move from CA to TX, I had even said I understand if it goes up a little for any extra boxes and he said yea but it wouldn't be major well from 2,500 it went to 5,200 like who I'm their right mind thinks that's possible and the craziest part of the situation is when I received my delivery today it was exactly what I had originally given them in the inventory. I couldn't argue with them during the pick up because I'm currently already in TX so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I had messed up but nope I have them the actual inventory. Not only that but I actually received less they lost sooo many of my items maybe because they decided to unload and leave my stuff in sidewalk until the next truck picked it up and so many items were broken but maybe that was due to the kicking my boxes when he got upset that I was arguing the price. But that wasn't the worst part of this experience the worst part was when all these issues were happening of this huge jump in the price I was trying to reach their customer service they had me jumping from person to person from Dominque to Samantha who work in customer support to Britney who's the manager in customer support saying they were going to call back never calling but to ask for the money never had time to talk to me about the issue saying "we're going to transfer the call" and then getting hang up on. Terrible experience .... like other stories I read here, I was quoted one number and on the day of the move that quote was underestimated by 47.9%, end up leaving several items behind and still payed extra $700 after they gave me $100 off because I called and complained. Also if I refused their services I would loose my $500 deposit. Even if I did give them descriptions and measurements of my furniture they were off by almost 50%, and keep blaming it on my furniture not stacking the right way. When I was quoted, Jonathan said I have to do nothing except packing my boxes, couple of days before the moving day Fred calls and tells me, actually it's my responsibility to wrap glass pieces, furniture with glass, mirrors, mattresses, and corners. The movers use the blankets and plastic wrap and said they are doing me a favor for not charging me for it since only the blankets are free but they need to use tape to keep it together, first time I heard of it. The driver who picked up the items said their quotes are off almost all the time, and the driver who deliver my items joke around if I want to shop for other stuff in the truck. They damaged the door frame of my bedroom when picking up, the desk hutch was damaged when delivered, side burner of the grill was bend in when delivered, not working anymore, and the worst and disappointing is the lost items. My coffee table and 2 sides table are now unusable since they lost the glass tops. The driver who deliver said to contact the office. I called and told them about the glass tops and ask what is the next step, send the email with specific description and I am still waiting to hear from them, that was about 10 days ago. They are avoiding my calls and emails, if I call from my number I get put on hold or transfer to a voicemail, I tried from a different number and I got to talk with someone, Britney, and she said they are still looking and if not found by a certain day to file a claim. I don't know if they were found or not since no one contact me or answer, and the day she mention to be found by has already passed. Update After my review, customer service contact me. Nancy called me and follow up with solution. She has been wonderful and manage to order a replacement for the lost items and follow through with every she said she will. I am very happy with my replacement. Thank you Nancy. You are a wonderful asset to your company. If you ever move do not choose them because of the lower price, you will pay later, choose someone who comes out and looks at your stuff and gives you their card and number, my first experience with movers for long distances, too bad it was such a bad one. read more

This is a great moving company as long as you do not use a moving Broker. The guys that were sent were very helpful and professional.

Worst moving experience of my life. These people are scammers, please do NOT use this company. We had first called them asking for a quote, and the estimate was shockingly low, but the salesman insisted that we wouldn't need a larger truck, when we very clearly did, but didn't make a realistic estimate to lure us in. Then, on moving day, the movers showed up at the crack of dawn and looked inside to see our garage, which had more stuff than what would've fit into the truck. Instead of just taking whatever would fit, or coming up with a compromise, the movers said it would be $7,000, around close to double our original estimate price. They demanded that we agree or else they would leave. We asked them several times to NOT leave so we could try to work something out with the salesman, but of course, they did after barley 10 minutes of being there. After doing NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER, they also left with our nearly $800 deposit. After doing absolutely nothing, we deserve to have our money back. After they left, we were scrambling and called the service department to get them to come back. We were promised multiple times by multiple people that they would come back, shockingly enough they did not. We were not only lied to, but also scammed. Avoid this company at all cost, they are scammers and will steal your money. This is theft and is unacceptable. If I am refunded, I will remove this review, but until then, this review is staying up. If this is removed, I will just keep adding it back. I excepted far more from a small business. This is disgusting and disappointing, I and I hope this company gets no more business. Disappointing. Our company was relocating 4 of us from Woodland Hills to Texas. 3 of the employees were to head to the same place in Houston and I was to be relocated to Austin. One of my team members found Rhino Relocations online and spoke to a sales agent that seemed very helpful and assured us that they were the best in the business. He stated to my co-worker that since 3 of my team members were to move in to the same building that it would represent a great discount and adding me as a 4th would just get us a better rate. I reluctantly agreed as the Yelp reviews looked solid. During the move of my co-workers they started getting unexpected charges from they were a long distance from the elevator they had more stuff than imagined and so forth. I had initially thought that this made sense. I contacted Rhino relocation to get a new quote for myself because I did not want to have the same experience. It took about 6 phone calls to get anyone to answer my request. It was not until the threat of cancelling (because i had a later move date) that I was able to get a hold of someone by the name of Tina. Tina assured me that this was just a miscommunication and a new quote for my stuff would ensure that I would have no unexpected charges. So my initial quote jumped from $1600.00 to $2100. During this re-quote we added more square footage, paid for dish wrapping, elevator use. She told me I needed to buy Boxes for my tvs and mattress covering which was initially covered under the first sales persons promise (ray I believe was his name) . I paid an extra $60 bucks out of pocket for those things (which seemed like no big deal). I tried to also have one of their employees to come and inspect my stuff to make sure there are no more unexpected charges but was told it was unnecessary because I went through a re-quote. Lo and behold when the movers had come to pick up my stuff they told me that I had to add another 150 square feet to my move quote. So my stuff went from 600 square feet to 750. I tried calling their office and got no response back. After an hour, I decided to go item by item with the movers (thank god for UHaul boxes that had square footage measurements in them) and my quote went from 750 back down to around 670 (i just gave up at that point as I had to move that day). So my quote had now gone up to 2900.00 When the movers had arrived to drop of my stuff in Austin more trouble came. First they did not speak english which made it impossible to communicate. I had to call a coworker who spoke Russian to help facilitate the conversation. The movers would not drive their truck onto the Apartment complex's docking area even when the management staff here insisted that those sized trucks have frequented parking their trucks in that area (in fact one truck did during the unloading of my stuff). Rather the movers insisted that I get a Uhaul truck so that we can shuttle my stuff to my new apartment. Furthermore, since they were not informed that there were elevators and of the distance they would need to charge me an additional 300 plus 500 to move my stuff in and out of the shuttle. I had to get a uhaul, find a bank to give them 800 in cash so that I can just get my stuff back. Calling Rhino was of no help as they said that it was ultimately the decision of the drivers on where they would unload or load my stuff. Lastly, that if i refused drop off they would be charging me storage charges. Many other issues arose during this process. 1. Our move costs more than doubled from the original quote. 2. They will not answer the phones after they take your deposit. 3. They hire other movers to deliver your items (some of which are not very professional) 4. The people that deliver your items are sub contractors and are there to look for more ways to charge you. 5. They will offer you money to remove your yelp reviews that is why theirs have been so good. read more

Where do I begin?! How about a quote of $1900 that somehow increased to $3700 on the day of my move!! Rhino was the absolute worst experience I've ever had dealing with a vendor and I deal with vendors for a living! The thought of moving from California to Texas was stressful enough but after speaking with Ray to get everything set up, I was relieved at how easy the process seemed. Ray assured my co-workers and I that we would be well taken care of. LIES! After that initial conversation, every attempt to contact this company became more and more of a challenge. You were lucky if someone picked up the phone and when they did, you were transferred several times before getting hung up on because no one ever picked up the transfer. We should have followed our gut and cancelled our reservation after Rhino made no effort of confirming our pickup or providing any other detail for that matter. Anyhow, after finally speaking with a woman named Tina, we soon found out that Ray had not only quoted incorrectly, but failed to mention ALL of the additional fees that would be tacked on. Elevators, stairs, distance, packing, and tape. YES, TAPE! I learned that blankets are included to protect your furniture, but not the tape. So for each roll of tape used, there's an extra expense added. I had tape of my own and volunteered that to avoid the cost, but apparently I had the wrong kind of tape. Wrong tape?! I was done. Back to Ray.. He also informed us that the guys loading our belongings onto the truck would in fact be the same guys driving to Texas and unloading as well! More lies! Not only had we never seen these people before, they show up with our things and have the nerve to as if we know anyone that can help unload the truck. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That's what we've paid Rhino damn near $10k for. If I wanted my friends to do this, I wouldn't have called Rhino in the first place and would've gotten a much better deal! I could go on and on but it looks like my co-workers beat me to it. The moral of this story is AVOID RHINO at all costs! Whether it's your money or your company's money! Rhino, save yourselves the phone call. Not looking for a refund of any kind to remove this review. I'm simply trying to save someone the hassle and headache of having to deal with your company. Almost forgot! I'm definitely MISSING A FEW BOXES from my load. Ray forgot to let me know that my things would be loaded onto a smaller truck, only to be unloaded into their warehouse and reloaded onto larger truck for delivery. read more

It's more than just rumors. They all give u a quote. U agree and pay a deposit. Then they come for pick up u end paying a $1000 more. And Rhino was no different. It doesn't matter how much u think u covered; they'll rip u off. When Rhino ppl came for pick up. They said they will probably charge more per cubic centimeters. Even though the deal was if they break something they oay for weight. Thing is tbey tell you this after they load everything. Naturally I protested. Their response was i'll have to oay for the wrapping and the time and the men and I don't get my deposit back. It's crazy but u hear all these nightmare stories about moving companies and u hope it's not gona happen to u but it does. We ended up paying a $1000 more than we agreed...that's 33% more. Even though we gave them a detailed list of everything in the house with their dimensions. They still had to use us. Just don't book them. U'll be pissed off and disappointed. And if I could give them zero stars i would. And good luck reaching customer service after u pay your deposit. I don't know where they hire these ppl from but they're all a bunch of liars. If I could give less than 1 star I would. WORST experience ever!---updated rating due to Sharon- she really did everything she could to make up what she could to us. Caring staff to handle these situations are just as important as every other pet of a service. 1. As they were loading my things I saw them tossing boxes upside down into the truck...boxes that clearly had "FRAGILE" marked on them. 2. When telling me and my Fiance how the insurance worked we were told and I will quote, " lets say there was a dent on your washer...they would estimate how much the damage would be worth by the size of the dent , a large dent would probably be about $100" he is saying this as they wrap my bran new $2,000 washer and dryer set.. 3.They lied about pricing..AFTER they loaded my things into their truck and were ready to leave they informed me that it was going to be $1,000 more than I was quoted for LESS items!! Instead of a sofa and coffee table we sent a wine rack and 3 large boxes, which i called ahead of time to clarify was OK. 4. I was charged extra for having a California King bed instead of a standard King...they are the same size! California King just takes a few inches from the width and puts them in the length. 5.I was charged a merchant fee ( which is ILLEGAL IN CA) for paying with card instead of cash. 6.They gave an optional 30 days of storage for free but failed to mention that the 30 days is NOT an option. 7. When I secured them as my movers they were very pushy for me to give deposit and sign with them then because pricing changes daily... being that they were the cheapest quote it made sense.. they have you e-sign a document that they paraphrase for you right then and there. not giving you time really to go over it thoroughly without feeling like you are going to lose out on the quote they gave you and later when you try to call and figure out why you were lied to and don't have your belongings they simply reply with..."you signed the document so i cant help you..." 8. They fail to mention that the minimum of ten days for delivery ( for state to state moves) is not from the day they pick your items up, as i was told...but it is actually 14-21 days and is from the first available delivery date..not the day they pick your things up. 9. after I began calling and trying to nail down an actual delivery date I was told multiple times the reason it was taking so long was because I was 46 miles out of their 1,500 mile range...I am NOT-From their storage yard I relocated 1,368 miles-From my former residence, it was 1,446 miles... not sure where they got 1,546 miles. I am currently in a house with nothing but an air mattress and a sofa for the past 3 weeks when I was told by multiple people I would have my things 10-14 days after they picked up my items... ------------------------------------------------ Since posting this review I was contacted by rhino relocations main office and worked with a woman named Sharon, not only did she truly care what happened, and how their booking agencies were treating their customers, and potential customers she seemed to actually care about our well being. She went above and beyond to try to make up in any way she could for the inconveniences that had happened. She stayed in contact with us until the issue was resolved and she definitely restored a little faith in their company. The one positive other than her recon was that our things did get delivered safe and sound and she company used to deliver was MUCH BETTER than the company that picked up. If you do decide to go with this company I suggest that you just ask lots of questions (especially about delivery time) and read through the contract to make sure their services are right for you.
