Best ribs in town! How I craved their spicy pork ribs during the shutdown. I have cheated and gone to other local rib places with the hopes of finding a new high but alas, there's only one place for me. They have multiple leveled of heat, so if you need something milder they have it. The dry rub has so much flavor, that you don't need the bbq sauce but it's a nice bonus. If you can't handle going through a dive bar in Glendale maybe you shouldn't call yourself a foodie. I can't wait for them to come back and can only hope that it's sooner than later :) read more

This place is located in old Dave's Hot Chicken place. They took the spot after Dave's moved away to their new location. Apparently they are connected in some ways. I live right around the corner so i decided to give it a shot. To see their pictures and what nots, check their instagram. It helps a lot. It's written just as their name without spaces. Instead of deep fried chicken, which Dave's used to sell, this place sells baby ribs. The menu is pretty similar to Dave's. They have plain ribs and slider. I'm not so sure about their exact prices and menu names so if i write it wrong, please feel free to fix it for me. Its been a while since I've been here. Ribs were around $12 and slider was $15. It came with side of mashed potato and some kind of slaw. You have to choose the spice level for your meat just like Dave's. I think it had total of 5 or 6 level, from no spice to danger level. I got medium and it was pretty hot haha. I got plain ribs and my friend got slider. I think slider is much better than ribs alone. Personally dont like ribs getting stuck in between teeth. Also, the portion seemed a lot smaller than slider as the meat on the bone tends to vary. read more

Day before thanksgiving '18: They are currently in the back of Glendale Tap! Good combo if you're into some brews. Got the rib sandwich combo w/ potatoes and Cornbread bites + 2 ribs. The ribs and the sandwich were perfect. I got the ribs medium spice and they were just wonderful (warm but not hot, the kind of warm that kinda just heats your throat and chest). I will say though, the sides were a bit disappointing, I arrived around 9p, and they were out of slaw and mac, so I got potatoes and cornbread bites. Potatoes were just fine, nothing special really, and the cornbread bites were lackluster too. However(!!!), the ribs and sandwich were so amazing that I'm giving them a 5 star even though I could have just skipped the sides. Maybe that's what I should have done... try the Mac and slaw before you do that. If I went there again, I would get another rib sandwich (medium) and +2 ribs (hot). Wonderful. All of the ribs were cooked perfectly I loved their new beef ribs. They offer multiple different levels of spice from Mild, Medium,Hot,Xtra Hot,and Danger I tried Hot, Xtra Hot, and Danger and I have to say they are all amazing and all represent their names correctly. The Rib Meat sandwich was amazing as well worked well with the slaw and BBQ sauce in the buns and is very filling. Their BBQ Sauce is amazing make sure to try it when you go. My bf and I discovered this place by following the amazing scent of smoked meat down our block. They're located in the same parking lot that used to be home to Dave's Hot Chicken. By far the best ribs I've ever had! We both got combo #1 and an Arnold Palmer. There was no wait and the food was perfect. The guys running it are super friendly and fun too! I'm glad I came across this hole in the wall bbq place while looking for something to eat in the middle of the night! Just a heads up to everyone, you have to go inside the bar to access the bbq area. I was a bit lost when I got here because my gps just told me the location was in the corner of the street. I ordered the full rack of pork ribs when I got there because I was too late for the beef ribs. So heads up, get there sooner because when they're out, they're out! The ribs were great and the mini corn bread bites were surprisingly moist even if you have them sitting for a while. I love how they have the barbecue sauce on the side just in case you have your own preference as to how much you want on them. They seem to use a dry rub which is different to a lot of the other gain restaurants that smother their ribs in their sauce. Overall experience was positive and can't wait to come back earlier this time to try out the rest of the menu! read more

I've been searching for good barbecue ever since I moved from Memphis to Los Angeles 20 years ago, but Los Angeles just doesn't understand good barbecue. That is, until Ribs Against the Machine showed up. These are without a doubt the best ribs within a thousand miles. They offer dry rub, Memphis style ribs that are the closest thing to The Rendezvous, THE BEST barbecue restaurant in the world. Armin, the very talented grill master, has spent a lot of time and effort perfecting his rub and grilling method to get juicy, meaty, and incredibly flavorful ribs with an incredible bark on it. Since I found this place, I've starting coming here every week. At least once. sometimes more often. The taste reminds me of real southern barbecue. We went there tonight. We both got the pork rib combo, they were out of beef. I had the mild, sauce on side with double cole slaw. She had medium with sauce on the ribs with mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. The ribs were on the dry side and not fall of the bone as with smoked ribs. My cole slaw was Very vinegary and needed salt. Her mac n cheese was very plain tasting, the mashed potatoes were just bad. The bbq sauce tastes like it was out of the bottle. I don't know if this normal but we just didn't like it. I don't know why they got 5 stars? Maybe they were buzzed from the drinks in the bar. read more

Came in and expected some good bbq! Got a half rack of ribs, hot. They didnt have beef so I got pork.. Overall, the rib was smoked well and had full flavor. Hot was hot enough to cause my nose to water but not to cause pain, it was a dry rub btw. The rib its self was dry, it needed to have more moisture. read more

I have been coming to this place for about few moths. These guys are always rocking my food! They are located behind the bar. They always give me the best service ever, they always ask how spicy you want your food to be, Last time I went there I got half rack ribs with mac n cheese plus corn bread, it was amazing. Ribs were soft and full of flavor. I usually get "hot" level of spicy, it is not burning spicy and it doesn't kill the flavor of meat. Mac and cheese are perfect as well as corn bread, everything can out under 8 minutes, while I waited, one of the chefs told me about their secret menu, French fries topped with meat of your choice... There is a real lack of bbq in Glendale so this place is a welcomed sight. I got the pork ribs plate with Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and cornbread bites on the side. My 4 star rating is just for ribs because they were delicious. Smoked and cooked just right. I liked the powder seasoning they put on which is a bit different. However the sides I'd give 2 stars. Mashed potatoes were strangely really runny/watery, really odd consistency. The slaw was bland and meh. The cornbread bites were also meh. I really like the price and the ribs. I got the pork ribs with macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. My friend got pork ribs and curly fries. The ribs were perfection. Exactly the right amount of sauce and not too fatty or salty. I loved the macaroni and cheese and the mashed potatoes. I thought it was the ultimate comfort food. The fries were so good that I ended up eating most of my friend's food. Cleanliness is very important to me. The whole barbecue area looked immaculate to me. The woman who takes orders is a gem. Just came here yesterday with my husband to try this place out. I got the ribs sandwich, spice level hot, with Mac and cheese (2$ extra) and mashed potatoes and hubs got the rib plate medium spice with Mac and cheese, 2 small bite size pieces of cornbread and mash potatoes. The sandwich was great! Came with lots of meat and pickles and cheese. Spice level was decent. I didn't really feel any heat. The Mac and cheese was okay. honestly wouldn't get that next time. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Sadly the corn bread bites were not flavorful. Hopefully they change it to make it more moist and maybe with some corn in it? Definitely will come back. read more
