BUYER BEWARE!! I wish I could give them zero stars. I had a pre-purchase inspection for a used 2014 Town & Country Chrysler van. After spending over 1.5 hours waiting for them to do a thorough inspection, I was advised that it is a good running vehicle that needed a little TLC totaling $2,115.94. I felt the repairs for the asking price was reasonable in comparison and decided to purchase. After arriving home to Fairborn, and taking the van to the shop for the recommended repairs, I was in total shock!! The reputable repair shop was absolutely stunned that this company would say it was a good vehicle. The van needed over $6,000 to be safe on the road. I thought I was going to initially start by repairing the brakes and rotors for about $450, but after the new shop's inspection, I was told the calibers front/back needed to be replaced before I could even drive it. I thought I was doing my due-diligence as a grandmother taking it Mike Richey Tire & Service for the pre-purchase inspection, but I was wrong. They were sloppy in their inspection and their lack of review caused an unnecessary hardship for my daughter and her children. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! read more

I love these guys so much I've always have left satisfied. Randy has helped me every time I've been there, I have never left unhappy or upset. This is where my family takes there cars. They are always fast and cheap, other places gave me triple the price I paid. I highly recommend them and they're the only people I trust with my car. read more

Had an oil change and didn't put oil in it. None of the fluids were filled as they said all of them were going to be topped off. Windshield and transmission fluid wasn't touched. Back breaks were replaced and was told rotors needed replaced as they don't just do brakes, they change it all. Oil change and back brakes- with no oil in it, very little( we replayed the video and the tech had about 1/3 of the 5 gallon bucket that you buy at Meijer, it was about 1/4 full. So for that half ass job it was $580. Never again. read more

Had a quite large suspension job needed down on our car. Their whole team was sure to call whenever updates were needed on the job, and worked hard to get our car out of the shop ASAP. Price wise, came out just ahead of others on total project cost. Really appreciate their hard work! read more

I actually thought that after the first time (car overheating), I wouldn't have to return to deal with the same problem. I went back a second time because the car kept overheating. This time they tell me it is some plastic part that connects the radiator that was broken, so they had to replace it. Mind that during this time, the A/C started failing too. I just hadn't fully noticed until after the second visit. The heat was blowing cold for some reason... and both the A/C and heat were working fine right before they replaced the radiator during the first visit. Anyways, during the second visit they replaced this part that was broken (only 2 weeks after they replaced the radiator. The car worked well these days up until that 13th day when it began overheating again). I take it back a third time because this time now that A/C isn't blowing cold. The heat is hot and the A/C is hot too. They tell me that they would fix it because it could have been the condensor, so they checked everything and add seals, etc... but the condensor was fine. They tell me that the compressor is the problem. It needs to be replaced and that it has nothing to do with the work they've done on the car. But out of courtesy, they'd only charge for the part (btw, I requested quotes from different auto part shops and it was $250 for the compressor, initially I was told by them it'd be $500, then they tell me it's because they charge $150 to recharge the A/C. Well, even then it still isn't $500, so yeah, you're charging at least $100 for labor). I feel disappointed and like an idiot, to be honest, as they've taken me for a fool, justifying it on the car being old (2008), but if the a/c was working right before I took it for the first time to your shop, there's no way, quoting, "this was coincidental". At the end, I came with one problem and left with another one, so I don't think I'd recommend this shop to others. read more

Against my better judgement, I took my other car to Richey's to have them diagnose a grinding sound coming from underneath the hood when I started it. I wish I hadn't... I received a phone call that started with "this is the worst part of my job..." I was informed that my engine had blown and that it would need to be replaced. He had "found" me a motor, with 125k miles on it, for a "good deal" which included a 90 day warranty. I proceeded to ask a couple of questions such as, why is the car still running fine under power, how come the grind goes away after 10-15 seconds, and it only comes back on when I hit the AC? The response: well, it's dying, who knows when it will be, but it's definitely the engine. I received the explanation these things happen, even on a Honda. I told them that at that price, I'd probably buy a new car. The salesman then had the gull to try and talk me out of it: are you sure want a new car payment, your insurance is going to go up, 125k engine will make it feel like new... I promptly took the car to another place to have it diagnosed. Verdict, as I expected, the air conditioner compressor had died. The mechanic, who had the same car with 330,000 miles on it, said that the car was in perfect shape and in no way was the engine having issues. Well, that's the last straw. It just goes to show, always get a second opinion. I will never again take my car to Richey's and would advise others to think twice. read more

We just took our car here to get an oil leak fixed. Immediately upon getting it back we noticed the leak to be the same. Upon contacting them we were told that it would be covered if it was leaking from the same place. Well of course it was magically now leaking from a different place. Clearly either the original leak was misdiagnosed and I paid to fix something that didn't need fixing or they do not want to take responsibility for not fixing the leak. Highly disappointing that a business expects a customer to pay for something to be fixed that did not get fixed. 1 star rating for the complete lack of responsibility that they are willing to take for poor services rendered. read more

My buddy and I were attempting to replace a starter by ourselves. I felt that we were pretty capable dudes and could do it. Well about an hour or so later and a lot of engine parts on my garage floor we decided we were not capable of replacing it. We called around a few places to see what it would cost to replace the starter and if they could do it if we supplied the part. Most places wouldn't replace it unless we purchased the part from them or they were crazy expensive (well over $400 for labor alone). We called Richey and they were able to do it for around $200 for labor and able to used the part my buddy purchased! So this place was pretty awesome to work with! read more

The guys at Richey's are super. I was on my way home from surgery at a local hospital when the cars transmission just went away. We were about 100 yards from Richey's so we called them and they suggested a local towing company who took us to the shop for a fair price. When we arrived at the shop the mechanics and everyone treated us well and politely. Everyone agreed the transmission was done for; however they agreed to check it and make sure it was in fact toast. It in fact was, and needed replaced. To make this story condensed, we agreed to have the transmission replaced and the first one was bad so they opted to replace that one with another one which worked fine. They were very polite and honest with me, and the car was repaired and I drove it a couple days when I found out the inner fender was rubbing and they fixed that free! I was surprised as they could have been like a lot of other places and hit me for time and parts for that also! In essence, Richey Tire and Service, in my opinion, is a fine place to take your car and have good people to put your cars health in. C M Eddy read more

I have had great service at Richey Tire. The staff is friendly, informative, and ensures I understand (and am comfortable with cost) before they proceed in fixing anything. They go above and beyond for their customers, and have a continued sense of urgency. I needed a piece for my door handle that came from a Ford dealership. I dropped my car off toward the end of the day and expected to have to arrange a ride for the following day. A mechanic there personally went to the Ford dealership to get the piece and fixed it close to closing time so that I was guaranteed a ride that evening. I will definitely go back for any car needs. read more

I went to go to Ritchie auto service to get my front end aligned on my 85 Ford I got home and it did not look aligned so I took pictures drove back in a different vehicle asking is that normal because I know it's an older vehicle one manager was very helpful the other walked in ,in the middle of the conversation and was very rude and was yelling saying it's my fault that it's not aligned and was going to charge me more money to have them look at it again.. I was just asking if that's normal I didn't want any other service I wasn't blaming them but he did not want to hear it he wanted to get very defensive and argue with me and argue the photos that it was not out of alignment and it was and the other a manager agreed with me..... I was going to buy four brand new tires that was going to be over $1000 a year now I will go and spend more money at a different place I will never come back here... too bad I can't give half a star to this place read more

I have been taking my vehicles to Richey's for years now. They are nothing but courteous, honest, and they have gone out of there way to help me. I am not sure if Greg S. is talking about another Goodyear or something but this does not sound like the Richey's I know. The staff at Richey's is very professional and helpful. They are not always the least expensive place in the world to get my vehicle serviced, but I know that the work they do is quality work, they always make a point to show me what was defective and why it was defective. I honestly call Tyler when I am looking to purchase a new vehicle, or when I am doing work myself on my vehicle myself for advice, he doesn't have to help me, but he does. I can't say enough good about Richey's Goodyear. read more

After 5 years having my vehicles serviced here, I have had enough and will be taking my business elsewhere. There have been a few instances where I have had an issue with their repairs (usually involving them "fixing" one problem, and suddenly another pops up immediately following). However, the final straw was when they charged my 19 year old son $350 to repair a hose in the cooling system only to have it blow a head gasket 50 miles later (on the highway no less). Claiming that they did all of the appropriate diagnostic and pressure tests before and after the repair, I hardly call this a coincidence. I believe Tyler, Travis and their team either over-looked something or took advantage of a young kid with $350 to repair a car and not $3000 it would take for the major fix. I actually went into the shop to speak with them personally, and their stance was "we can't anticipate what is going to happen to a vehicle at any time" and per Tyler, "I'm in the business to make money, if I saw something wrong else wrong with the car, I would tell you" (so comforting). All I know is, with 7 sons who *all* have cars, Richey's has lost our business. For a Mom-owned business being run by her sons, and a regular customer, I expected to be treated more fairly.
