I hate to do this review because I have been going to Risky's since the end of the 90s when the Ventana Grill left and Risky's took over. Back then my kids were in grammar school and loved going to Risky's as we called it, for supper. I was always a Black&Blue burger fan but tonight I went for Bacon cheese burger and ONION RINGS! This was also a call in dinner that included a large Caesar Salad and a Beef Quesada for my daughter. When I got home And opened my foam tray I was fuming if the Pile of $€!¥ that was inside which was coated with grease. The bacon was nothing but pieces of well done leftovers of bacon which I guess was from earlier diners. The ONIOn RINGS. We're a pile of small pieces of onion coated with breadcrumbs and grease. Absolutely horrific how they can serve this crap to a patron. Was there an actual chef in the kitchen or a stand buy who worked the grill for a month cooking cheese melts at K-Mart. A total disaster. The Blood Orange Hefe was great while I waited and the bartenders and waitresses have always been great in the past when we ate there but the kitchen was a disaster! I spent $63.13 for a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and sweet potato fries, beef quesadilla and a salad. That's without the tip. It might be time for a Bar Makeover! read more

Second time here for dinner and my onion rings come to the table burnt. My wife's sea bass was saturated with oil and the fish tasted of oil. And the fried rice was white. Don't even think the cook knows what he is doing. Definitely not coming back. Hey Chef, walk across the street and go into Ginza restaurant and taste their sea bass. The crab cakes were an affront to Maryland. Service fairly attentive, but made some mistakes.

Nice little bar area, restaurant was nicely spaced out so dining indoors felt safe. We did see some people eating outside. We were greeted and sat by a very friendly server who was training on her first day. Her name would have been nice to share with us. She brought out iced teas, no offer for sweetener, and we never saw her again. Our waiter took our order, he seemed to be waiting on everyone inside. It took way to long for our meals to arrive for the lack of customers and time of day. The food was good, my taco salad was perfect. Flavorful and huge! My husband got a patty melt and fries, the fries were luke warm and super greasy. He said his burger was very good. We are visiting the area from PA, so don't think we will be making a return visit. I can say that it is definitely a nice atmosphere. I have been here at Friday happy hour time and Sunday happy hour time, and while one was obviously a lot busier than the other, the noise level was never unbearable. There are TVs all over to watch games and such, and I've never been there for a Big Deal game, but from what it seems, the TVs are placed in such ways so that they are easily visibly accessible when you want them to be, not not obstructive or flashy if you're not interested. So that's nice. The waitstaff is nice about things when you don't love the food, and there are like three things that you can order (besides salad) that are gluten-free. I'm just not a fan of this restaurant. I want to be, but it fails just about every time I visit. The food is boring. The menu never changes. Even if it did, it's low quality and prepared poorly. I've gotten wilted and brown lettuce just about every time I've ordered a salad. Does the kitchen staff have eyes? Why do they serve that? And they over dress the salads. I swear they put half a bottle of dressing on them. Yuck. The pizza has been soggy, like the crust was droopy and wet. Really disgusting. The chicken quality is low and every dish I've had it's been too thick of a piece and very dry. The coffee is watered down and sometimes not even warm. But the portion sizes are large, if that matters to you. Doesn't to me, so no points there. The service is pitiful. It's hard to get a refill. Our orders never come out right, and it's not worth the time trying to find the waiter to get it fixed. They're also not very friendly. The last time we went with a party of 6. We asked for two tables. The waiter actually rolled his eyes and audibly sighed. OK. The only redeeming factor this location has is that there is a fairly large private room with a projector and a screen, and they don't charge extra to use it. So that's cool. I will only go back to Riskys if friends drag us there. And hopefully they won't. read more

I have been here several times over the last year. I have never had a problem, until today. Ordered the fish. It was over cooked to the point of being rubbery. Sent it back to be remade. It came back and it was now perfection. As I know the fish is wonderful. But the fries came back raw. Then we ordered the creme brulee. It was over cooked. Like baked eggs. Not appetising. Me and my friends have been regulars at riskys for months now and spend at least $400 every Sunday and lately we've been going during the week when we get off early and after todays service and treatment we will be relocating our money and dedication to a different establishment cause the service from the weekday staff has been horrible and when brought to the manager/owner's attention the blame is being put in the customers. So we don't wanna give our money to anyone like that: While this is happening the staff member that is showing horrible customer service is having there significant other come and sit right next our table and trying to pose a threat for no reason. We visited tuscon and stayed at the Loews Ventura Canyon. We came out one night to eat at Risky seeing mixed reviews, but impressed by the pictures on Yelp. We ordered the Whisky Burger w/onion rings and the Chicken Ranch sandwich. Both burgers were very good. The onion rings were a bit soggy, but ok. The waiter was very nice and friendly and wait time was average. Only 2 things that were negative wer 1. A lemon seed in my wife's cup of water... (that didn't have a lemon) 2. There was a paper tag in the burger that said whisky burger. Both very strange and a little discomfort, but nonetheless we kinda got over it and enjoyed the food and after we had a lava cake with ice cream. read more

Last time I ordered a burger and fries and this time I ordered the Meatball Flatbread with Onion Rings (see photo). Flat bread was very good!
