We went on a Monday night and it was super slow. We were literally the only people in there for almost half an hour. During that time, we had finished all of our food and wanted to order more but no one came by to check on us or clear the plates. You can see in the picture three servers just chatting/looking at their phones. Eventually our server walked past us, but said nothing. On her way back I flagged her down to order some more food. Party of 7 of us, service was good. Food was average at best, not very fresh. Sushi rice was very dry. The music needs to be turned down just a bit. Not really a restaurant style, more of a sushi express. I recommend taking out all the tables and just put high top tables. Is it possible to give this place a minus "0". I base my experience from start to finish. I was greeted by a hostess today for an early lunch around 1145am, there are 6 tables in the center of the restaurant, I chose one, but she said it was not cleaned. Hmmm. so why wasn't it, since the restaurant was not busy at all, so she sat me at a 4 top by the front door. She's the hostess, so I let it be. It took the server a little over 5 mins to get to me. Again, keep in mind the restaurant was not busy. She offered me water to start but no other drink. I asked of her suggestions, typical response "everything is good". So it's apparent she has not tasted her own workplace/ restaurant food nor study about it. I ordered a Hibachi dish of veggies w/ fried rice, it came with a salad (with hardly any dressing). the veggies were over cooked & soggy from too much sauce, which made it salty. I asked for black pepper, the restaurant does not have any, except she said only in packets, but she did not bother to bring me any black pepper. As I was trying to enjoy a nice rewarded lunch by myself, I over hear the next table restaurant service by the gentleman, engaging and providing great service. It's too bad I didn't get the same service. I sat at the table a good 15 mins. after my meal until I started to rise up from my chair to ask for assistance (a box & check so that I hurry & pay and leave this uncomfortable restaurant). The server came, gave me a black hand held "toast" electronic machine to pay my own bill & walked away. So much so, that I could have walked out with the electronic mechanism, because she never returned back to my table. I left it there, got up, purposely asked for a paper receipt. She's lucky she got $3 tip, when it should have been a hand written tip or $0. Very poor service & for a new restaurant that hasn't been open for a week, sad to say the other competitor up the street, Akai Hana is so much better, real sushi, larger menu, ambiance and stellar is superb. and worth the price. The sushi was ok the main event was way overpriced the lobster was not fresh at all. My son loves lobster and he wouldn't eat it. I was really excited for my drink but it wasn't strong and full of ice. I know they measure by volume but it just wasn't worth it. I don't think I'll come back due to the price. We visited Rock N Roll Sushi Friday evening. We absolutely loved it. There are fancy cocktails with a unique twist to match the sushi inspiration. The rolls and sashimi were amazing! And the appetizers were delicious. Service was excellent. Michael, our server gave great recommendations and a thorough overview of the menu. Food was delivered and was very tasty and decadent. The host who took my order said it would be 15 min, I come back in at 15 min and she said oh it's not start yet we are really busy so it'll be longer. She didn't provide how much longer so I waited another 15 min. I come back and they just completed my food. To my disappointment my pot stickers were cold for something that was just completed. Came here for dinner and overall it was just okay. The manger was at the bar drinking, the waiting staff was fighting with the cooking staff and for the price of the food it was only okay. Our waiter was friendly but at one point all waiting staff disappear and the only person was the manager at the bar with their martini. Service was a little slow, they had no napkins (offered paper towels ), we had to ask for plates etc , had a drink with a plastic wrapper in it (they made us a new one), got delivered a beer we didn't order, and we paid for an ice tea that we did order, but were informed they were out of. Went here on Valentines night since our regular sushi place was packed. We were able to get right in and sit down. CA roll was a crab stick and was dry. Two of us ordered the chicken soho which was hibachi and came with fried rice. It also came with salad or miso soup. The Miso wasn't good and there was no tofu, only minimal seaweed. The fried rice was sticky texture and had minimal flavor. Neither of them ate the rice. The chicken had okay flavor but was dry. I had a shrimp tempura roll that was meh. Two rolls chicken rice was $66 bucks. Will not return. read more

I love Sushi. I've been waiting for this place to open in Goodyear. Went in there on Day 2 of them opening and right off the bat I noticed how small this restaurant was. I sat at the bar. They had a full staff in there training so it was a little awkward because you can tell that they were still learning. You would ask them a question and they all started to look at each other for the answer. I asked them if they had a Spicy California roll and they didn't know. I asked them if they offer military discounts. They didn't know. I asked for a sweet tea. They brought me an unsweetened tea. Then brought me the sweet tea after I told them it was the wrong tea. It didn't take too long to get my spicy California roll and it was excellent! It had fresh ingredients and one of the best rolls I've ever had. And coming from me and if you've seen my other sushi restaurant reviews that's a good thing. I make a point of trying different sushi restaurants and writing reviews about them and Rock-'n'-roll Sushi is off to a great start. Once the servers are up to speed. disappointing. We were so excited to try this and have been waiting months! won't be back. This place is DINKY only 9 tables inside and 5 bar seats. They had 15-20 employees working that we could see, so that meant that with so little space, you were constantly being bumped etc. The music IS WAY TOO LOUD, I couldn't hear anything the waitress was saying. A glass of wine, not even in a wine glass, could not have been more that 3-4 oz. The happy hour menu only had a couple of things on it non of which we were fans of. Another review said that all the specialty rolls all had cream cheese in it, I didn't notice that part but I did see that nearly every one of them had shrimp tempura! I don't want fried crap, otherwise I'd go to McDonalds. Wife added a cup of miso soup which was $8 (she was expecting $2-$3. Portions were small, had to eat something else as soon as I got home. Food took a long time to come out for sushi rolls. Extreme pressure on you to hurry so they could turn the tables which I understand because it is so damn small, but we won't be back, nothing good here. read more
