I called Rocket Plumbing on Monday. They sent me a quote that night based on what I told them the issue was. The quote was in line with the other plumbers I contacted. Went with Rocket because they're right down the street from my house and I'm glad I did. The tech came out and realized the issue was a quick 5 minute fix. Took care of it for me, didn't try to upsell and didn't even charge me for the work because it was so simple. I wasn't expecting that but definitely appreciate it. They'll be my first call in the future when I need any other work done. Don't expect free service when you call but you can expect to be taken care of the right way by local, honest guys. I've called Rocket Plumbing for two separate jobs in the past month: for a toilet replacement and a new hot water heater. Luis did both jobs and he was awesome. There are parking restrictions where I live and access to the unit isn't easy. It didn't bother him at all; he brought both the new toilet and hot water heater up three flights of stairs and removed the old ones, taking care not to damage the new equipment or my building's common areas. As he was installing both, he explained to me what he was doing and when he was done with the hot water heater, he walked me through proper maintenance so I can prolong its life. I work from home and he was so quiet that I forgot he was here at times. After finishing both jobs he cleaned the area so it looked better than when he'd started! I called and these guys were out the first day to make an estimate and check out what was going on with my water heater. the next day Ben and George came out and installed a brand new water heater in addition to doing a lot of great pipework that was needed. I definitely recommend both of these guys to anyone as they make a great team and a very quick and efficient. I had some concerns about smelling a little bit of gas the next couple days and Ben came out right away on his off day to double check all the work to make sure there was no leaks. I had to fix a leaky tub in our rental unit and Rocket had good reviews on yelp so I called them and was immediately impressed with their professionalism and customer service. They scheduled someone to come out later that week. Marlon checked it out and explained because the plumbing was so old the "easy" fix might not fully fix the leak, it might be a problem with the entire shower/tub system in the wall which would need to be replaced. I was definitely not up for a huge project so I told him to go for the simple fix, replace the stems, etc and I would take my chances. After there was still a slight drip, so Marlon told me to keep an eye on it, allow the new washers to expand and let him know in a few days if the leak was fixed. In the mean time he didn't charge me for anything and if the leak wasn't fixed he would only charge for parts. I was extremely happy with this arrangement, and was surprised that he was ok with me just calling back later to let them know if it was fixed. A few days later I observed that there was very little to no dripping so I called him back and we settled up. They had a $49 off coupon on their website so that was helpful. I will definitely call Rocket next time we have a plumbing issue. You can't ask for better customer service and a more professional organization. read more

This is an INCREDIBLE company I used Rocket Plumbing twice. First for an inspection/evaluation of the plumbing in the condo I was about to buy. and then second to actually fix the issues once we bought the condo. Sam was the plumber we used both times and he's just the best. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and courteous (e.g. used shoe-protectors before walking around our new home, which was a very nice touch). What we also liked was that he gave us multiple options, from very thorough fixes to band aid solutions, gave us the pros and cons of each, and let us pick the final option. He arrived right on time both times, and finished the job quickly and efficiently. He also went the extra mile and helped fix a couple of items in our new home, move a mattress for us, all with a big smile. Great guy to work with! UPDATE: Brian, the owner, immediately reached-out following this review concerned about our experience. We contacted him and walked through everything. He offered to correct the issue at no additional charge, bring all necessary parts, and send plumbers he could personally vouch for. They completely redid the toilet and redid the piping under the sink. The correction was above and beyond what we would have expected. I can appreciate that things don't always go as planned and the response is even more critical. He wasn't defensive but really wanted to help us out. At 7 months pregnant without working plumbing - I certainly appreciate how easy he made it. --- Not a good experience. Highlights: -had them come out to quote work for a faucet, disposal and toilet fix -told us the parts we needed to supply and we had them ready to go -show up and immediately say we need valves replaced for another $300. If it was that blatantly visible why was it not included on the quote? -insist that the drainage is correct even though the individual who quoted us said it was absolutely wrong and needed to be changed or overflow from a blockage would go into our dishwasher - at a minimum they need to get their story straight. We still paid the full quoted price even though none of this was adjusted. - didn't look closely enough at the toilet issue upon quoting to let us know we needed a new handle. Ok, I can take part of that blame we should have asked/had greater general awareness. But, because of that the job was left incomplete. From a pricing standpoint, initially I was told the toilet would be tossed in for free, then the quote was amended to $97 for the toilet which we were charged and told it's be another $90 to come back and install the handle - basically, double. So we still have a non-functioning toilet. -the job took several hours to complete with at least one extended break (for a faucet, disposal and toilet) -they were on time and generally pleasant to us - could not supply a labor warranty to us upon "completion" -pricey, conflicting stories and an inability to correctly quote even in home results in 2 stars.. read more

Rocket came out and installed a Garbage disposal and a utility sink in my house a few months ago. The work was done well; it's been a couple months and everything is still working properly; no leaks. Everything was done clean and on time. I do feel that their price for the sink installation was a little on the high side but the job got done right. We've used Rocket Plumbing twice and they have been very responsive, professional, and got the job done. First time was when our water heater broke in the middle of the polar vortex (who wants to take a shower with freezing water??). Rocket sent someone out immediately and they got it replaced. There was one minor issue, when the plumber purchased the wrong size water heater replacement - though we got that fixed up. Otherwise, we have had no problems. Today we had someone come out because the ceiling in our utility closet had serious water damage - presumably from our neighbor upstairs. Nick came in and checked out both our unit and the one upstairs. Neighbor's condensation line was not plugged in properly. He didn't charge us at all, which we feel terrible about because he had to come out, but also really, really appreciated his help and, most of all, his HONESTY. VERY IMPRESSIVE! We had a leak in our kitchen faucet. This was my first time using Rocket and my wife and I thought that their responsiveness, professionalism and expertise was without equal. Rocket returned my initial call immediately and had a plumber (Jeff) out to our home in less than 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem which required replacing the faucet. Jeff worked on a temporary fix and I purchased a replacement faucet the following morning. I called Jeff and he juggled his schedule in order to do the installation that afternoon. All work met or exceeded my expectations and Jeff was very mindful about keeping the area clean. We had a leaky faucet and purchased a new one from Home Depot. Unfortunately, with the lime deposits inside the old fixture, we were unable to replace ourselves. So, had to reach out for professional help and I knew calling a plumber is not the most economical thing to do, but when your back is against the wall, what else can you do? We called Rocket Plumbing based upon the stellar Yelp reviews. They followed up and set the appointment. So far, so good. The plumber shows up early for the appointment and that was great!! We agreed on the price and he installed our faucet from Home Depot. Here's where the story takes a bad turn. The faucet had a problem with the cold water knob and even after exchanging the knob, the problem persisted. So new faucet, no leak, but bad cold water knob. Through the wonders of social media, the owner reaches out to me THAT night to see what he can do to make the situation right. After a great phone conversation, we agreed that we should get a faucet from him and that they will get it installed for us. The fact that Brian cares enough about his professional reputation and wanting to do the right thing, he earns 5 stars from me. So, looking forward to getting my new, new bathroom faucet installed. I noticed this morning that I didnt have hot water. This has happened before so I tried to re-ignite my pilot light a few times, but it didn't work. I called my normal service company who was so slammed they couldn't see me until Thursday of next week. Now I could shower at my gym a day or two, but Thursday...wow. So I came to Yelp and searched for water heater repair and these guys were at the top of the results. The guy who I spoke with wasn't sure he could squeeze me in today - being right before the holiday - but he said he would try. He called me back 5 min later and said someone would be by within an hour. So I'm already a fan. Anthony came by earlier than expected. He checks out my heater and in 5 min it's working again. It *was* the pilot light that I had unsuccessfully worked with earlier. Now I feel like a total idiot b/c I've lit it before. Ugh. He said it was no big deal and didn't charge me for the visit. He told me what to do if it goes out again, and we chatted a bit about future replacement since it is an older unit and probably doesn't have much time left. After a DIY project of replacing the inside tank parts caused a leak, I called Rocket Plumbing. I called on a Sunday expecting the leave a message, and was pleasantly surprised to find their weekend phone line. They took down my info and said that someone would call me the next day to schedule a appointment. To be thorough, I also sent some additional information through the website as a heads up to the plumber assigned to me. Rocket was nice enough to confirm that they got my message. Anthony was on-time for the appointment and fixed the leak in less than an hour. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated - $217 to take the tank apart - but the leak is gone and now my toilet flushes better than before. I also really appreciated that the new gasket they installed/labor comes with a 1-year warranty. Paid with a check - no issues with that so far. I would use Rocket again, especially knowing that they have such a quick response time. read more

I am an out-of-town landlord, so when things go wrong at my condo and my tenants call, it can be a bit of a logistical issue to get things coordinated quickly. Rocket Plumbing made my life so much easier!! My tenants called to say that the garbage disposal wasn't working and the pipes underneath were leaking. I immediately called Rocket Plumbing based on a Yelp recommendation. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely polite and professional, and he said it would be no problem to coordinate an appointment that was convenient for my tenants while sending me the bill and taking care of payment over the phone. So easy. Fast forward to this past Friday evening. Sam contacted me after assessing the garbage disposal and pipe situation. Turns out it wasn't the garbage disposal but rather a HUGE clog deep in the pipe that needed professional attention. He patiently walked me through the problem and what he would need to do to fix it, and then he got to work. About an hour later, he called back to say that he had taken care of the issue. So we were having problems with our garbage disposal and had used Rocket Plumbing in the past with good results. We called them again for an 8AM appointment. Sam showed up exactly on time, and was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. In the process of replacing the garbage disposal, Sam pointed out the corrosion on the pipes under our sink as well. At no point did he pressure me to have him fix them right then and there, but he did mention the potential risks involved. I agreed to have the pipes replaced during the same appointment, and once I had agreed, he was able to demonstrate the dangers he just mentioned by sticking his thumb through the metal pipe! Needless to say, but glad we took care of that... Sam was able to fix both the pipe and the garbage disposal in a timely manner, all while describing the issues to a lay person. They called back right away, asked a lot of questions about my problem, had me send pictures for an accurate quote, called ahead to prepare me for a potentially expensive problem after seeing the pictures, and arrived 10 minutes early! After seeing my water heater in person they identified what turned out to be a very minor problem and only charged me the $25 transit fee. They could have done expensive diagnostics and charged me a giant fee but they were super honest and really helpful in explaining the issue and a few other features of my water heater. I had a toilet that wouldn't stop running so it was wasting a lot of water. I exhausted my plumbing expertise after I replaced the flapper, which didn't fix the problem, so I called Rocket Plumbing. The next day they sent Marlon over. He arrived right on time and even put on booties so he didn't track mud and slush in, which was really courteous. After looking in the tank he explained to me that the leak could have been caused by some calcification around the flapper but that other components in the tank were looking worn and could use replacing. Marlon gave me an estimate on how much it would cost to replace those parts but he also gave me a more economical solution (which I opted for) by making a few adjustments in the tank without replacing any parts and the leak was fixed. Unfortunately a few hours after he left the water started running in the bowl again. I called Marlon back and he immediately got the necessary parts and came back the next morning to install them. The amount I paid for his visit the day before was credited to these repairs and all is well and working again! I appreciated Marlon explaining to me what he was fixing instead of just doing it and handing me a bill. I definitely recommend Rocket Plumbing. read more
