I had a car issue and AAA suggested that I dropped off my car here. Read the reviews and boy am I glad I trusted it. I dropped off my car overnight and left a note for them to fix my car in the morning. What do I get first thing in the morning at 8AM, a phone call from Zach confirming what needs to be fixed on my car and that they'll start working on it pronto. I called in later to check on the status of my car since it was a big job, and he told me that it'd take another hour or so. Zach called me again an hour later, and the car was ready! Replaced some license plate bulbs for me... no charge. Told me I needed new brakes, but didn't try to push for the sale or get upset when I said I'd get them done myself and bring it back. If I could I would give this place zero stars. Yesterday my friends SUV's eater evaporated from the radiator. She added water, but just to be safe she took it to Rockys. She eas told she needed a new radiator, hoses and a thermostat and the cost was $850.00. She called me and I told her I knew an honest mechanic Harry at So Cal Auto Repair in Burbank. She picked up her vehicle and took it to Harry, no leak, Harry topped off the antifreeze and the cost was ZERO. If you want honest mechanics Rockys is not the place. I love Rocky so much! 5 years and 3 cars later and I'll never have another mechanic in the LA area. I don't understand how they're so stinking FAST, but they are! It's incredible! And he's so trustworthy! Not once have I been advised of or charged for a repair that wasn't needed. I've always been able to drop my car off whenever and pick it up either same day or next day. These guys are simply the best. My car refused to start after my class late last night, and I was nervous dropping my car off so late at night with just a note. But ROCKY called me first thing this morning to let me know what the problem was, and that he could fix it right away. I have taken my 16 year old Acura to Rocky for the past two years and have received nothing but, excellent service at reasonable prices. I never doubt the quality of service that comes out of this shop. Rocky's team does great work! I asked Rocky if he could get my old Acura ready for a road trip to Colorado. I didn't think it was possible but, he said you can do it but, you'll need new hoses, a valve gasket, new axle and a clutch. So, they did the work and it was impeccable. My car has never felt so good ever. Honestly, it feels like a new car again. Not only did they do an incredible job on my car but, Rocky was genuine. He was sensitive to my budget concerns and cut me some breaks. I'd recommend Rocky's to anyone. He's a guy you can trust. YAY! I've finally found a great mechanic that I can trust. I had to be towed here when my fuel pump went out this weekend. AAA towed me (worth the price of membership) and Rocky called me early Monday morning. I chose this over other options based on the Yelp rating...I am glad I did. It was about half what I was expecting to pay..and he gave me a AAA discount (that was valued at more than the cost of yearly AAA price), plus an additional warranty aside from the one AAA provided. Rocky's is a no-hassle smog check spot, with some pretty cool dudes working there. I brought in my 2009 CRV, and got it s-checked for $10-$20 cheaper than what I was quoted at other places. Also made some totes cazsh convo with the guy ringing me up, and that was tight. read more
