I agree with other Yelpers - the quality of the food and service has definitely gone way down . I don't and will no longer recommend .......sad because we usually come here and even hosted our company party here last year and was hoping to do the same this year ... but nooooope- will be looking elsewhere to host. Came in last weekend around noon ( meaning they just opened so food should've been fresh ) BUT was greeted by re- heated left overs ( rice , feijoada , stroganoff . All were obviously reheated and not at all fresh ) . The sweet and sour chicken was RAW on the interior ( luckily I always cut into meat ... so glad I didn't bite into it ) and then ordered chicken hearts and was given burnt , dry, and reheated ones ( probably from the night before ....) - I had to specifically ask and emphasize to our waiter for new fresh batch ........ Seems the employees just wanted to dump the meats because when we found cuts that we liked - they were trying to cut huge thick chunks ( to get rid of meats ) - All in all - for the price point , we expected way better than we received- save your money and go elsewhere.... - was going for only 1 star but gave 2 because their flan was good ( which for $110 was the only part of our meal that we enjoyed ) . - read more

Taking advantage of Arizona Restaurant Week, we went to the Rodizio Grill in Mesa. We were a few minutes early for a 6:00 reservation, so we sat outside on a bench while they got our table ready for us. Restaurant week is an opportunity to dine at reduced prices at local restaurants. While our price was $33 for each person, which is about the normal price for a meal, they added at no cost an alcoholic beverage or complimentary house special soft drink as well as dessert at no extra cost. For those who have never had Rodizio, it is a Brazilian style dinner. It starts off with an unlimited very nice salad bar which was stocked with some very different salads as well as some hot dishes. Available were items like Beef Stroganoff, Feijoada (traditional Brazilian stew), Mozzarella salad, Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato salad, and lots more. However, if you fill up on the salad bar you will not have room left for the main attraction, the "Meats". Among the meats served were - Picanha Top Sirloin (A lean, juicy cut of beef with a mild and sophisticated flavor), Bife Com Alho (Tender steak basted in garlic seasonings), Maminha Seasoned Tri Tip Sirloin, Miolo da Paleta (Beef Center Cut Skirt Steak), Whole Sirloin, Frango Com Bacon (Lean, juicy chicken breast wrapped in bacon), Frango Agri-Doce (Sweet and spicy chicken), Sobre Coxa (Marinated & Seasoned Chicken), Coração (Grilled tender chicken hearts), Linguiça, (Brazilian sausage), Lombo Com Queijo (A tender cut of pork, served with parmesan cheese- and bacon, Presunto (Ham), Cordeiro (Boneless leg of Lamb), as well as others that I cannot recall. On your table is a small rectangular block with one end painted green and the other end painted red. When the green end is up it mean you want more food, and Gauchos will circulate in your area with food on long swords and large knives. They will cut off as much meat as you wish each time one of them comes by. There were so many of them in the area that we had to turn our block to red for a while until we could finish what was already on our plates. Then we turned the block back to green and the Gaucho's started coming around with more meat. Because of the way the meat is cooked, you can ask for any degree of doneness and it will usually be available. The steak with garlic was particularly memorable as was the chicken wrapped in bacon, the ham, and the lamb. We all had seconds and or thirds of these meats, plus the regular portions of the other meats. The only way to properly describe this restaurant is as a Carnivore's Delight. One of our party was a true carnivore and probably ate several pounds of meat. When you lay your block sideways on the table it signifies that you are ready for dessert. Dings - only one - there are two types of waiters and waitresses on the floor. The meat waiters, who did a terrific job of keeping our plates well stocked, and the service waitresses. Our service waitress was a disaster waiting to happen. She made our meal drag on because she could not be found and was so very slow. We went here for my birthday and did the Sunday brunch. The food and service here are amazing. You can do just the salad bar or the "full Rodizio" definitely do the full! There was a great selection of meats that come in a never ending parade to your table, until you finally tap out. The salad bar had a great selection of hot and cold items as well. At the end they bring you a tray of delectable desserts to choose from, I had the orange crème brûlée that was delicious. Came to eat New Year's Eve dinner the family at 8pm. It wasn't super busy, they sat us in less than 10 minutes. Everything was so good. The service was prompt and very courteous. The give you a little wooden block for the table: one side green, on side red. Keep it on green and they keep bringing a variety of deliciously cooked meats like a wonderful parade. Love the concept. Husband and I went here for a late Valentine's dinner. Even though we didn't bring the kids, I was somewhat surprised to see that it is also rather kid friendly, and there were several families there. I'm not a huge meat eater, but I liked having the selections. I thought the salad bar was great. The side bar was okay - I felt like it would have been nice to have a few more side options - but then again, that's not really why people come here. In fact, my husband didn't frequent the side bar at all! Just meat and a salad for him. I'd say this place is totally fun. Drove an hour to Rodizio Grill as We went here a week ago for my birthday dinner with my wife and friends. I filled out a comment card that asked for my birthday and a day later received an offer for buy one full rodizio meal, get one free so we had to come back a week later for the deal. Came back today and had another unbelievably delicious meal with my BOGO offer. The service is spectacular, the food is absolutely delicious and the selection is second to none! The dinner price sounds high at $42.99 but it is the most reasonable Brazilian Steakhouse in the Phoenix area. That being said, you'd pay that price at a steakhouse but only get one selection versus a wide range of around 14 choices (several different beef, several chicken, pork, lamb, ham, grilled pineapple which is delicious) along with an overflowing selection at the included "salad bar" (way more than salad for choices). We stopped here for lunch since my boyfriend, an avid meat-lover, wanted to try it out. Unfortunately I don't quite share his love for just having a slab of meat on my plate, and prefer it at least with some type of sauce or condiments, on a bun, just something else to go with it. So sadly I wasn't quite as impressed as he was, and while several of the meat selections that went around I didn't particularly enjoy, there were still some I liked. The service was very average. Most were nice and polite, though there would be a couple where they would ask if I wanted some of whatever they were bringing around on their giant skewer, I'd say no, but they'd slice off a piece anyway and drop it on my plate... not sure if they ignored me or just didn't understand, but it was rather annoying. The salad bar was pretty good and I can only compare to Fogo de Chao to which I agree with others that Rodizio grills salad bar has more options. Meat options are comparable. It's your standard Brazilian steakhouse with a huge salad bar with warm entrees (beef stroganoff and fish stew were great!) and endless meat on swords served by cute gauchos. I tried not to fill up on salad before the meat, but they brought out sides of fried polenta, fried bananas and the heavenly cheese bread--I could've and should've stopped there! But the meat (ohhh the meat!!) was wonderful. The garlic steak and spicy chicken were the standouts there but everything was delicious and tender.! What sets this place apart from the rest is the service. I've never seen so many upbeat, enthusiastic employees that love their job. Breanna took care of us and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so bubbly and sweet, and her recommendations on drinks and dessert were appreciated. One of the owners, Nick, took the time to greet us and make sure we loved everything. He shook our hands and thanked us for stopping in. The food was great and we didn't experience any of the usual downsides to this type of cuisine. *They didn't try to fill you up on cheaper cuts *They came over constantly with different meats (sometimes even when we had the block on red) *They have a lot of variety *The salad area is large and everything was clean, well-stocked and delicious I would high recommend them! I was shocked how often they came by with different options. I usually become irritated with Brazilian Steakhouses. It seems like most Brazilian Steakhouses bring the ham by 40 times, but good luck getting any filet, chicken or lamb! Most Brazlian Steakhouses have servers that only come by once every 10 minutes. I can not say more good things about this restaurant, I travel from Tucson just to eat here, if you're having any questions. They take my severe anaphylactic milk allergies very seriously. Meat was amazing when you could get it. Every 10 minutes somebody would bring you a .5 oz piece of meat. Salad bar food was great. You couldn't see half of it to know what they had though. You are 15 feet away from it. I just told the kid to just throw some crap on the plate. You might want to pack a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to eat wile you waiting on the sliver of meat to be brought to you. Salad bar issue is because of Covid, not really there fault. Some amazing food but not worth the hassle. Won't go back. Also, they advertise $39.99 for the meal for some reason they decided to charge us $45 a person. It's kind a like stealing I guess. I came to Rodizio Grill a couple weeks ago - food was okay. The staff seemed a little judgmental - when we first went we ordered some drinks... they were delivered to the wrong table they've been sitting there at the other table for about 20 minutes until the server came back and seen they made a mistake she just handed us the sweating cold glasses of a watered down drinks..... The concept was cool nice environment and what not just felt awkward. I wish when people who have never been to a place like Rodizio it is more explained. This place was really good!! Even though the entire restaurant was packed, the service was still great, and you are never left hungry. There are plenty of meat options, and there are a lot of good sides at the bar to compliment the meats. Everyone's favorite seemed to be the little rolls that are filled with cheese. They go really quickly the second they are put out because everyone knows how good they are. The spicy, grilled pineapple was also another favorite at the table, and they have a lot of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drink options. This is our first time coming to a restaurant like this and the server explained to us we can do the all you can eat salad/sides or the all you can eat salad and meats. Of course we went with the all you can eat salad, sides and meats. From the minute the server took out drink order and left the meat just kept coming. We did have our wooden shaker on green, so that does indicate we were ready and to keep coming. They really do have some good choices ranging from chicken, sausages, prime ribs, chicken hearts etc..... we really didn't have time for the sides lol. I brought over a small Caesar salad and small scoop of mash potatoes which my husband and I picked at. When they come to the table they cut you a small portion sometimes even just bite size but they do ask if it's enough before they leave. When they cut the portion out they do ask that you help them out and use your mini thongs/ forks and grab the meat as they cut the pieces out for you. I'll tell you one thing I hate being so close to giant knife as someone else is using it other then me so that kinda made me uncomfortable so when they cut I move myself a little away from the blade, normal reaction if you ask me. Overall the ambience is causal and price is good considering if you go out for a steak dinner you would spend the same amount or much more. We tried this last week. Service is outstanding and we both loved the grilled pineapple. I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars, I say 3 but my husband said 4. I did not eat a extra $10 worth of meat. and $20 is a bit high for a salad bar. My husband loved all the meats and defiantly ate $30 worth of food. The best Brazilian churrascaria in the valley! They have the grilled pineapple, which is amazing and great paired with the glazed ham. I love the garlic or parmesan beef. Hubby really likes the house special, picanha and the leg of lamb. They also have the best bananas which is a nice dessert. We don't frequent the salad bar and are usually there for the different meats, but they do have a decent selection. Service is always helpful. We usually book a reservation through their website so we don't have to wait. Yum! read more

Went to Rodizio Brazilian Steakhouse in Mesa tonight. It was our first time. I can't say enough about the fabulous meal we had. A salad bar like you have never seen. Hot foods, too. Came here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. It was his very first Brazilian steakhouse experience. He loved every bite with the exception of that strange grape and bleu cheese salad. I have been to Rae de Gafo and Fogo de Chao in San Diego so I was as impressed. The meat quality was great for the value as it was an easy 20.00 cheaper that Fogos and Rae's. I was very unimpressed with the salad and side dish bars. The only reason it still gets 4 stars is the 40.00 difference in pricing for a meal for 2 and the awesome and attentive service provided by our server Laura! read more

I have been here twice with my wife and twice with my company. This place is amazing from the huge salad bar to the all-you-can-eat Brazilian meats. There is a small wooden marker with "RED"=stop on one side and "GREEN"=go on the other. Flip the "GREEN" side up to let the meat service begin. They will begin bringing a wide variety of meats table side on 3 foot skewers. Remember to flip the marker to "RED" when full or they will just keep coming. Service is good and food quality is good as well. They can accommodate large partys or a table for two. I highly recommend this place, this is on my "Top 5" restaurants list. read more

We come here all the time in the last 4 times the portions of meat that they slice are getting thinner and smaller every time. A place in Scottsdale and Chandler have way bigger portions and it's passing Rodizos by leaps and bounds we are not going to be coming here as often as we used to and the last few times we've been here as well with a reservation and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just to be seated when we were on-time. Attended Rodizio on a Friday evening and I was apprehensive that they wouldn't have any availability but to my surprise they got us in within 15 minutes. We were seated and the server got our drink order immediately. We got our salad bar items and everything was fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the fried bananas. The meats started to make their rounds and the ones that stuck out the most to me were the top sirloin, flank steak, bacon chicken and the sausage. My absolute favorite two items would have to be the grilled pineapple and the tri-tip! The bread that was served was delicious as well. Horrible customer service. My husband and I arrived at 8:30, after waiting for the hostess for 10 minutes we were told that they were closed. The website said they closed at 9. They should change their hours of operation. We drove for 20 minutes to get to the place for nothing. I also called twice to confirm their hours. Food was excellent and service was outstanding! This is a place you have to try, if you are a meat fan. We had a large party of 6 and it didnt take too long to get a table. We were greeted right away and got our drinks. They have an amazing salad bar with about 20 selections (can't remember the exact count)...the meat selection was great. They even have grilled pineapple, which my husband loved. He has never been a fan of warm pineapple. But he had several helpings. This place is well worth the drive and even gives Fuga de Chao in Scottsdale a run for its money (in my opinion). Date night with the husband! Wow a meat extravaganza and all I can say is YUM!! The meats were tender and juicy and kept on coming from the prime rib to the garlic Parmesan encrusted pork to the sweet and spicy chicken. That wasn't all their salad bar and sides were amazing but go easy on them cause it's the meat you came for!! Let me start off by saying I made a reservation for 3 at 7:45pm; for a 20 year old college student this establishment is a big hit in the pocket book but I knew from hear-say it was worth it. It was my mothers birthday so I took her and her friend to celebrate my mother's birthday last night(12/30). We arrived a 7:40, I let the hostess know our name and reservation time and she told me it'd be just a few minutes. That's understandable, it was still five minutes before our reservation time no biggie. It wasn't too busy, there were multiple half booths open and the whole bar area was empty with the exception of one table. At 7:47 I asked if we could just have a regular table to make things easier for everyone and the other hostess said that would work. We watched the first hostess walk towards the bar area and we were shocked to hear the bartender state "Don't seat them over here" WOW REALLY?!? Not 3 minutes later a party of 4 walked through the door and let the hostess know they had an 8pm reservation. I was in DISBELIEF, they were seated within 3 minutes. Finally, at 8pm I approached the hostess asking how much longer. She told me they were much more busy than they had expected and they didn't have very many tables available. My mother then asked about the party of 4 who were seated prior to us and the five tables behind her that had been open since we walked in and the waitress said that they still needed to be bused. Then we asked about the whole bar area and she said that the bartender said no more seating is available there. wow, just wow. After all of that the other hostess finally came over and sat us IN THE BAR AREA. :/ The same bar area that had been empty since we had walked in. She informed us after our verbal discomfort that the first round of drinks were on her and she said that when I asked to about seating it changed our "position in the rotation" . That doesn't make up for the fact that I made a 745 reservation and it took us almost 30 minutes to be seated, PLUS I can't even drink! It was EXTREMELY embarrassing for this hostess to try to turn it around on me. And to make matters worse, I got to sit and watch the hostess tell the bartender and you could just see that he wasn't happy by any means between him and his coworkers the whole night. Unfortunately, the meats were cold and rather unsatisfactory too, it kind of balled this whole experience into mush. Literally. I could have taken my mother to The Keg twice for the price and gotten better service tenfold. read more

Great Brazilian steakhouse!!! We went with a reservation for 10 on a Friday for brunch/lunch at 11am. The staff was ready and provided great service. The salad bar was big and provided a great selection. The meats came fast and were cooked perfectly for everyone's tastes. Top notch!!! Lunch is $26.99 while dinner is $32.99, a great value in my opinion. The competitor in Scottsdale is more expensive for an equal dining experience. I'll definitely be back!
