Service was quite slow, even though there were only seven people in the restaurant. I waited almost a half hour to get my soup, and another 15 minutes for my sushi. I never did get my water refilled. The green onions in my miso soup were tough. The prices are better than I'm used to, but the portions were smaller. The restaurant was clean. This is a cute mom and pop sushi place that I've walked past a few times since moving into the neighborhood. My fiance and I decided to finally check it out last night. We went there an hour before closing and were the only ones there but we were greeted by the friendly chef. We ordered the NY special roll, hama lover roll, spicy scallop handroll, and some nigiri. The NY special included salmon and the hama lover roll included yellowtail. The rolls were very simple but fresh and delicious. They actually have quite an extensive list of rolls on the menu that I would like to try during our next visit. The prices are excellent and service is great. Fresh and fast: two things that I appreciate from a Sushi joint. This place doesn't do anything else but rolls so their menu is loaded with variety. Service was slow 1 cook and 1 server not busy took 15-20 before I got my first sushi. Had the Tokyo roll was ok, the earth roll tasted similar sight different Tokyo was slightly better. Would skip them both next time. I didn't particularly like the green dragon it was ok would skip next time as well. My favorite is actually simple the avocado roll. The miso soup was good too! Had lots of vegetarian rolls yet I didn't like most of them. Exactly what I was looking for: quality sushi at affordable prices. The salmon from my sushi (nigiri) combination was super-melty in the mouth and fresh, the California roll was tasty and the separate albacore roll was delicious as well. The service was excellent and prompt, and the conversation about how I was visiting from New York was nice as well. If you're in Bellevue, you would do well to stop in for lunch or dinner. read more

this place is small and I and my husband went there once and all certain we'll never ever go there again. When we entered the restaurant, it is weird that it is empty. Nobody dining in this place. It is the first time we dining in a place that throughout the whole dinner, no one came in or out. The food is just so so and small in amount . By far my favorite sushi place on the east side. I live much closer to other sushi restaurants but will consistently go out of my way to eat here (or pick up takeout). It's the definition of a little hole in the wall, but it's some of the best sushi I've had in the area, and it's half the price of other places! Also the chef is one of the sweetest men around. The rolls are great. This place is a small shop on the corner. Not a lot of tables. There is a wide variety of rolls and sometimes a surprise desert roll may come after the meal. The desert roll isn't even on the menu so you can't order. read more

One of my favorite sushi spots! Went here for the first time about a month ago. It's at a rather convenient location (next to the Bellevue library) and I always have no problem walking from the library to here. The chef even surprised my husband and I with a mango dessert roll which was delicious. The rolls are fantastic and the chef is very dedicated . The raw fish is not bad. Not the freshest I've tasted, but it's very tasty. I recommend sushi roll fanatics to try this small sushi place- it is worth going to. read more

I love this place! My boyfriend and I always come here for sushi if we're in Bellevue. The chef is very friendly, always in good mood--what a positive and welcoming environment! The server is fast and also very nice. I think they are a father-and-son team, although I am not sure. Anyway the customer service is great there. The sushi is also very good in my opinion. I have had sushi in various places in Bellevue before, even the places that are more high-end, but they were nothing compared to the sushi at this place! I am a picky eater and would not eat anything mediocre. The only downside is that the sushi rolls are pretty small and pricey; however, it is located in Bellevue after all, so higher prices are expected. They've got only one server, and he is very cold, and mean. I'm very surprised that happens at a Japanese restaurant. We found this place on restaurant.com. They ask you for the restaurant.com certificate before ordering, and as a result our rolls are much smaller than the next table who didn't use the certificates. There wasn't anyone at the place when we walked in. Now I know why. When we left here is only one other party there. No surprise there with the kind of service that we've received. Never coming back here again. With the restaurant.com certificate we could only order special rolls, which we had to order 4, and that's barely enough to feed two of us. After the restaurant.com certificate our bill was 30 dollars. The food wasn't anything better than sushiland, and price definitely isn't better. For cheap sushi on the eastside, I'd go to sushiland. For cheap sashimi and good quality I'd go with Musachi's. For better service, I'd go ANYWHERE else. read more
