We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

They will not make any changes for you there if you try to apply logic. Guess you have to pretend to walk in the door to order or call in while you're sitting down to place the order to-go to avoid it being part of the total bill. Hopefully they change that system because why would you charge to-go orders as part of the dine-in to rack up the gratuity tip for an under par service!? When I questioned the server how does it make sense and she said yes we can cancel the order and call it in rather than just taking the initiative to separate the orders. Felt FIRST CLASS, all the way. The furniture was AMAZING and looked elegant and high class. Some things on the menu had changed, but that is to be expected. My meal was delicious. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. I've been in contact with some very personable employees here who are amazing when it comes to customer service so I will definitely be back.
