    Homemade Chips and Salsa

Hello Yelpers.. Now this little is the place to try! This place starts you off with some homemade chips and salsa. Added to your bill. Just in case you're thinking... I had me some chicken mole. And it was yummy. The staff were very nice. Good seating and very good old school mexican restaurant vibe. It was awesome...so if you are ever in this area. It's a must try! Thank you Rosita's Place. I will be back...

Friends!!! Here for our weekly visit to Rosita's!!!! As always, the food is fantastic, service is FAST, and our server Carmen is ON POINT!!!! The atmosphere here is lively, like home!!! The food is authentic and just plain delicious. The Tacos here are the reason I keep coming back (Potato and Beef). Rice and beans, always consistent!!! Did I mention that Carmen is AMAZING? Stop on by, you will love it!!!

My all time favorite, go-to Mexican food restaurant in AZ. Every single item on the menu is incredible - always fresh and so flavorful. Their green and red hot sauces are THE ABSOLUTE BEST. The service is always top notch. Honestly one of my favorite places to eat in AZ

Called to see if they can accommodate my family of 15 on Sunday for lunch and they did!! They have a great colorful room in the back perfect for large groups. Our server Carmen was AMAZING! So patient & attentive with all of us!! She brought out hot fresh tortilla chips & a red & green salsa, soo good!! She made sure to replenish our beverages too! Then she brings our order and Wpw!! Every plate looked like food art and everything was delicious!! We will be back soon!!

Service was amazing our waitress was exceptional. The chicken soup, however, was very bland and not seasoned, and the burrito had so much meat that it kept overflowing. The tortilla tasted great and definitely felt homemade, and the chips were super crispy and fresh. If you're looking for huge portions, this is the place for you, but in terms of seasoning, it wasn't what I expected. The refried beans were delicious, but I found myself seasoning almost everything as I ate so if you prefer to adjust flavors yourself, you'll enjoy it. Overall, the ambiance was nice, it smelled clean, parking was available, and I would recommend giving it a try.

First time last time I read the menu while I was at home and I seen that they had Machaca and I was excited I ordered it and I was totally disappointed no flavor no zip no nothing I won't be back. Service was slow. If nothing at all. Ambience was cool as hell. Cute little restaurant too bad I didn't have better food.

Good was fantastic and so tasty. Portion sizes are huge. Food tastes fresh. Cute place right off the main road. Parking in back. Friendly service. This was my second time at this place and it was just as amazing as the first. The burritos and chimichangas are so big, enough for 2 or 3 people. The green chili beef is so good. Loved the potatoes tacos. And enchiladas were perfect.

Chorizo Bean Dip - HUGE portion and it was really good!

We've been here several times over the years, and one thing remains the same...the service isn't that great. They don't smile, no conversation and no follow up. The food is ok, nothing that stands out about it. Hubby wanted to come here for caldo and they were out of it. Cute little spot where they definitely jam pack people in...I just don't get the hype of this place.

Came here for lunch during the workweek. Pretty busy but we were seated quickly. Was given an option of a 4-top but they did have a booth available that we chose instead. I had been craving cheese enchiladas so that's what I went for and they were absolutely delicious! I love their rice and beans as well. A very hearty portion. Service was great! Will definitely try and visit more often!

Ask the Community - Rosita's Place

What are the dates that Rosita's place will be closed for 2026 during the summer?

Will there be Mariachis on December 16th?

Is Rositas still open for dining in ? Didn't know if the latest Gov Ducey stuff changed anything?

Yes, it is. I just went today (Sunday, July 5th) They're closed on Mondays until further notice.

Does anyone know when the exact dates are that Rositas closes during the summer?

Hi Kevin To answer your question WE WILL NOT BE CLOSING THIS SUMMER we lost too much income during the mandatory shutdown we will remain open this year!

Is this place open? I drove up and the lot was empty and the windows were dark. I drove away. Then I called and no one answered?

We close for 3 weeks every summer we reopen August 13 at 10am

That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean. The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded. Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. If you're coming west on Thomas, make a u-turn after you pass 1st Ave.

This time, I was placing an order for some friends who were unexpectedly staying at Phx Children's Hospital, so I thought I'd share my experience with them. However, just one--or maybe two--of these ( family ) workers speak English. This is very discouraging when you're ordering your food and these said people are not there. Not only do the other people NOT speak any English, but equally frustrating is that the menu--which is written in chalk on a baseboard behind and above the counter--is entirely in Spanish. Nothing is translated into English.
