I know…read morewhat keeps these guys and one other girl happy, and that a buffet where everybody gets what they want and I don't have to think too had about it. These Chinese buffets even have American food like ribs, fries, pizza and corn on the cob! This Golden Harbor Buffet is bigger than a lot of buffets we've been to. There's a big selection of seafood and sushi. The sushi seems to be rotating and being made faster than some buffet where I don't trust the freshness of the sushi, especially the raw fish stuff. The inside dining is clean and seems organized and the staff is right on the service for the drinks. We all know how buffets work and we just head up to the buffet after checking out what's on line. I do love those Chinese salt and pepper shrimps. They still have the shell on. I'm getting to know this Fresno area a little, this buffet is just across the way from The Texas Roadhouse we just went to. I got everybody fed with out any complaints and that's all good with me. The crab wontons were yummy and probably one of my favorites here. They had a wide variety of foods. I appreciated that they had dessert - fruits, multiple ice cream flavors, a crepe station, and cotton candy! All in all, would come back if I need a buffet in the area.

We were seated at the only table they have for large parties, located in the back near the dessert area. The table was wobbly, appeared to have a folding table added to make room, and was cramped and uncomfortable. What I don't understand is why large parties are charged extra when the seating and service are no different from any other table in the restaurant. If you're paying more, there should be better accommodations or added service, not the same experience everyone else receives. After two disappointing visits this year, I won't be returning. It's unfortunate because I used to love this restaurant. I suggest to go to another place for large parties or for business events. just fyi it was almost $300 for 5 adults 3 children. Also on a previous visit I went two hours before closing the food quality is extremely horrible and they don't refill the food anymore. They started mopping it smelled like dirty mop. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

I was going to order from here through Yelp, but when I put a large pizza with no toppings in my cart, it said it was $34!?! Are you crazy? That's $14 more than the most expensive pizza places around here, and they aren't a chain.
