I placed an online order tonight at 7:45, got a confirmation email saying that my pizza was going to be delivered at 8:58. At 9:30 I call the San Rafael store to ask about my order and after 10 minutes on hold they told me they had just got my order and that it was going to be ready in another 45 minutes. I had a few teenagers waiting for the pizza. I asked the manager if after all the waiting I was going to get a discount on my order and he said all he could offer me was a 20% off. First time I tried this Round Table for delivery. I usually shop at the Northgate Mall and go to Round Table there occasionally. The pizza measured up to the Round Table standards that I'm used to. I think it's the best pizza around. The manager Carlos was the one who answered the phone and took my order. He was very pleasant and polite. I was ordering off an old menu and he was very patient with me explaining what wasn't available any longer and the price changes. He never made me feel that I needed to rush. We came here because of every pizza choice my daughter love love loves her round table. You never really know what you are going to get because they are all different. I wish I could give them a 5 but they screwed up on my pizza A LOT. I ordered half double pepperoni/half double pepperoni with garlic, olives and green pepper pan crust. At first they brought out a pizza looked liked extra cheese and sausage it just wasn't ours. I let her know she took it came back eventually with one similar to ours. But the garlic was on my daughters side and we only have it on one side bc she hates garlic. And there were know green onions at all. I asked for ranch 3 times. I finally went up again for the ranch and told them it's fine but that pizza is not made right. They were very apologetic and told us they would remake it. I told them I would bring them the remaining pizza and they no please keep it and we will make this to go. I was shocked that they would do that very nice gesture. Someone must of been new bc they messed up the next persons order to in fact I'm pretty sure they gave the person our pizza the one that was remade and they said that it wasn't theirs. Unfortunately we had the worst experience at this location. Went there on a Monday night at around 7 pm and they were out of lettuce at the salad bar, which is already very small compared to the salad bars at other Round Tables. We asked if they were going to fill it up and they said yes. So we waited and asked several times for the lettuce, always got the response that they were working on it and after exactly 20 minutes, they brought the lettuce out. There were 5-6 employees and maybe 2 other customers in the restaurant and they needed 20 minutes to cut some lettuce. By that time we had already finished the pizza that was served cold. I have no idea why it wasn't hot because it would have actually been pretty good. Almost everything that was available at the salad bar was old. The broccoli was brown, the tomatoes mushy and the spinach had seen better days too. The table next to us had not been cleaned up, which I usually don't care about, but given that there were a lot of employees for so little work, it was pretty odd that nobody cared to bus the tables. The employees were then busy celebrating an employee's birthday with a birthday cake. I almost felt like an intruder. I am not going back unless the service improves a lot. I never usually order pizza for delivery, but a friend wanted Round Table. First, a very nice young man answered the phone and, even though he was really the delivery guy, he went through the order perfectly and did a great job. He had to run so another nice lady finished up, and she was super with making sure the order was correct. Then, no sooner than I said goodbye, they were at the door with a hot fresh pizza exactly as ordered. I will most definitely order again, and I want to thank the crew that helped me that night! Ordered a pizza from them. They gave me the price they were charging and then bought me my pizza and a receipt for a different amount. The person told me that the total was $27. The delivery person brought me a receipt for $31! I'm a bit shocked and don't understand how a restaurant can tell you they are charging you one amount and then charge an entirely different amount. My husband and I went to this Round Table Pizza for the Lunch Buffet on Tuesday. Wonderful selection of pizzas, FYI, come early. They were very busy and pizzas were going very fast. Not only did I order a pizza and was charged for it and never received the pizza, they tried to tell me that their driver had delivered it the next morning. 1. I tried calling after ordering to confirm my order but nobody picked up 3 times I called. 2. The next day I talked to a very kind girl who informed me she could credit me 40$ worth of pizza but if I wanted a refund I would have to talk to the manager . OK easy enough right ? WRONG . LEFT him numerous messages with employees, I even had an employee apologize to me because she knew I had called half a dozen times in the past week to talk to this so called manager, but he never called me back. Finally three weeks later I'm still calling and I manage to get him on the phone only to find out he is a complete asshole , and to further more the asshole in him , he tells me it's the employees fault that they were supposed to call me to get my credit card number. We've ordered here before with no problems, but on a game night at halftime we ordered a pizza for pick up, got home and it was the exactly wrong pizza. (My fault, I should have checked). Went back and the restaurant did not have the ingredients to make our ordered pizza, and then the cash register tape was all messed up so I had to wait while the manager was called to fix it and give me a refund. Since this location opened, we have done a few pickup orders. One time while picking up and after paying, the manager (maybe?) noticed I was limping. He quickly circled around the counter and offered to help me carry my pizzas out to my car. It was a small thing, but appreciated. The Maui Zowie and Italian Artisan pizzas are popular with us. Looking at these venomous other reviews here on Yelp, you have to wonder if other nearby shops are campaigning against the new kids. Because, full disclosure, I have also happily patronized Red Boy, Ghiringelli's, Orgasmica, and Mountain Mike's. The ONLY one of these places I had a problem with was MMike, who found their chain's own web site ordering system to be akin to Egyptian hieroglyphics. Pizza isn't all that hard, unless you are Domino's and use casein instead of cheese. The one-star reviews here are so fraught with drama, they read like rejected soap opera scripts. Now, if you want to talk about bad food, why is Marin the only county west of the Mississippi River that doesn't have any good Chinese restaurants? W.T.F.? read more

Came for lunch between tournament games And although the manager was friendly and accommodating, the establishment was beyond filthy. Bathrooms looked as they hadnt been cleaned in days. There was water on the floor underneath the soda machine and instead of mopping it up, they just put a "wet floor" sign up. The salad bar was visibly clean though, thank goodness. Parking stinks. I am a HUGE fan of Round Table pizza, and am so glad to be in delivery distance of one. However, this last particular time I ordered from them, the employees working there seemed pretty clueless and apathetic in handling proper customer care. I ordered a delivery order, until I was told it would take an hour and 20 minutes until it would arrive, so I called back and asked for them to change it to takeout. I spoke with someone different than who took my order, and he was short and dismissive. (We ordered this at 7:40pm by the way) Then when my boyfriend picked up the order, he waited for it until 835pm to find out that it had been left in the delivery warmer, and not only had nobody done anything about it, but upon discovering this mistake, the employees where unapologetic and uncaring to the customer who had been waiting patiently for their pizza for 55 minutes. I've always loved round table pizza, the food is always good. My only reason for giving this location 3 stars is because every other time I order online they can't seem to get the order correct. It's always a minor mistake but if the staff can't read the order how am I suppose to be assured I get what I paid for? Each and every time, we have been greeted promptly and cordially and have been served good hot pizza and a fresh salad bar. This place is flat out garbage. If I could give this shit hole 0 stars, I would. Unprofessional from the moment the phone was answered for my order. Was asked to hold so I did, he then takes my order while repeatedly saying "huh? I can't hear you it's breaking up". I wait a whole hour for my order, delivery guy gets here while I'm in the bathroom. No call to notify he's at my door despite having taken my phone number first thing when I called. He waits a whole 3 minutes before deciding to take off with no notice. Wtf? I'm just supposed to magically sense when you're here? I then call the shop, first thing... "Please hold" 5 minutes goes by before he decides to ask why I'm calling, I explain, he then tells me he'll call the driver to come back. Another 10 minutes goes by. I call back... "please hold" how f'n busy can you be to have me hold every time I call?! I had to tell him not to put me on hold for him to talk to me then he proceeded to put the driver on the phone to have him explain himself? Driver says "sorry I didn't have your number to call." I told him it was the first thing they asked me for. He responds with "I tried calling but it says out of service..." I thought you didn't have my number?! This Round Table has great customer service. The last 3 times I have gone everyone has been very friendly and helpful. My order is always correct, which is a huge plus when you get home and your order is right. The pizza I got tonight was loaded with toppings and cheese. Wouldn't know how the pizza tastes as the people working are so incompetent that they couldnt follow simple instructions. I placed an order to be delivered with the special instructions that they were delivering to a community center, where I work, and would have to knock and potentially call me upon arrival. They did not knock, and when I called them to check on the status of my delivery (two hours after calling to place the order) they aggressively told me that their driver had informed them that "the location is a community center," as though I had given them a false address. They further explained that my phone number was to an invalid number, but when I checked the digits they were correct -- the explanation ended up being that their driver didn't bother to dial 415 before entering my number. Look, I get it -- they work for a pizza company, but if you cant do your job stoned out of your mind, probably don't get high at work. I won't be ordering from these people again, not because they failed a delivery but because of the absurd insinuation that I had given them a false address and phone number when I was calling to ask where my pizza was. My family and I always have the best experience at this san rafael location. So much we had my 2 year old daughters birthday party in the outdoor area. One of the main reasons we go is because of Hassan the manager. He is just wonderful and always accommodating. Always friendly and can tell he really cares about his staff as well. My wife, 2 daughters and I finally tried this new Round Table Pizza and we had a great experience! The restaurant was clean and the service was great. The Manager, Hassan, was fun to chat with. Super friendly and professional, and knowledgeable about food and the restaurant industry. He seems to be running a tight ship and made our experience very positive. We ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza and a small pepperoni pizza, as well as a chardonnay wine and Belgium white beer. The pizza was really good, with a nice crust that was crunchy on the bottom, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. We had a nice family meal and we will return again. read more

The crust was mostly burnt, there was a sinful amount of cheese, sparse sauce which was tasty in the few places it made its way on, exactly four spinach leaves that could hardly be seen and five tiny slivers of olives, and barely any sign of garlic flavor.
