Lamb & Veg à la Brasa w/ Bravas Ahumadas, Scallions, Charred Leeks

This was a fun experience. sit at the chef's counter for all the history. Our chef, Chef Brie, told us why the restaurant was named Rouser, about the building, about the Josper systems, about cooking our food, and we all really gelled so we also just talked about life. The food was unique because of the Josper system. Both (mine and my husband) of our favorite dish was the seared scallops. My husband said it was hard to pick! We're locals and went during shoulder season AND the Delta Center is closed (summer 2026), so we had a small group for the counter and the restaurant wasn't that busy either. Because of this, Rouser was pretty quiet. I don't know if this is normal but it made talking with our friends at the counter easier and without shouting, and talking with Chef Brie and hearing her stories too. Since the counter menu changes, I look forward to going again for another prix fixe experience! (Oh, and they do offer a wine pairing if you're interested. My husband and the other gentlemen got one and liked all the offerings.)

We had a large work group outing here with a prix fix menu that was preselected. I had the salmon which flaked perfectly off, couscous, and asparagus. The dish was great! Service was attentive considering there were about 75 people there. Great atmosphere.

Stayed at the Asher Adams October 2025, and Rouser is located conveniently at the lobby level right by the entrance. Very large restaurant with plenty of seating. Good for small and larger groups. SERVICE: Very friendly service from host stand to table. Our servers throughout our stay were very nice and attentive. More importantly, they remembered us and our preferences so we did not have to repeat everything each day. nice job!! FOOD: Fabulous! Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The plating was artful. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We tried several options, but our favorites were the Rouser Breakfast easy to mix and match your favorites. And, since I am carb conscious (Keto) - it's very easy to order sides to suit your needs. Great experience in Utah. This place is worth the try!!

After two visits, I struggle with Rouser as a place I want to like much more than I actually do. I keep coming back to the core question of: What are they doing there that motivates me to drive a half hour and hit a valet for a meal? I'm not sure what the signature dish is. Up til now, the most memorable menu item are there sweet and savory rolls in a cast iron. The bean cassoulet was boring. The seafood tower was fine but not particularly unique. Enjoyed the scallops with just enough char. The service and the team there go about their work with a wonderful attitude and a passion for what they are doing. Bravo. And I I appreciate the storytelling angle of the place and the way it pays heritage to the coal powered locomotives that once inhabited the train station. But I'm not sure that's enough to drive me to going back once again.

The atmosphere of Rouser is what sells this place it also just happens to have great, high quality food as well. The service is OK. When the waiters are focused on you they are fabulous but there was a large back up in drinks and lots of time in between dishes, which delayed the evening. The entrees are great, but most of the small plates, sides and desserts could be skipped. However, not featured were the starter rolls which are a MUST. Atmosphere/space 10/10 Food /drinks 8/10

Great place! Really cool vibe, excellent service, fairly priced. The rolls were amazing, we got 2 servings of those. In the pics were the salmon, short ribs, cheesecake. I celebrated my birthday here and will absolute go back.

First time here and it was a wonderful experience! The ambiance is lovely, warm and cozy. We started with the Parker house rolls which were delicious with their homemade ash butter w/ honey. We easily could have filled up on them! Then we had the gem salad which was fresh and flavorful! For mains, we enjoyed the NY Steak and Fries and the Pollo a La Brassa. Both were delicious! The rotisserie chicken especially had amazing flavor and crispiness on the outside. Service was friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

Honestly I wish there was a 3.5 star option! Went here with a big group for a dinner and had a mixed experience. Server was great. Some wines they had on menu they didn't actually have, so had to give substitutes. Some appetizers were great, like the beef carpaccio and the rolls were amazing. However the ribs weren't as good. Similarly, our group felt the entrees overall fell a bit short. Several people had the steak and fries, rating the dish as just okay. I personally had the short ribs and was disappointed when it came, definitely didn't 'fall off the bone' like you'd expect when ordering a short rib, it felt more like a steak I had to cut with my knife. Overall good experience but wouldn't jump to return next time I'm in SLC.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! It's very big with plenty of seating. We came here on a business dinner and all got sat in a great spot. Our server was SO NICE. She was very attentive and helpful. She had some help from other servers and again all of them were very nice, great staff! Overall the food was mid range for me. I didn't really like any of the entrees we ordered as they were semi flavorless (except for the scallops they were very good). HOWEVER the appetizers were SO GOOD! (especially the rolls!!!) I would go back to this restaurant to specifically eat the appetizers and get some of those rolls again, so so good. So overall a great spot and I would recommend the rolls and drinks but the entrees were not my favorite and I wouldn't order any again if I went back.

The location and ambiance of this place are beautiful. Set in the old train station and a throw back with distinctive charm and character. Very much a differentiated setting. Service was outstanding. From the greeter hostess, to our server to the countless staff who stopped by to refill drinks/clear plates/check-in, including the manager - they were all attentive, responsive, and helpful. While it was my first time eating here, my friend is a regular. Food wise, nearly everything was wonderfully delicious and beautifully presented.....of course we had to start with the Parker house rolls served with their special honey and seasoned butter. i agree that this is a must order...then we both got the heirloom tomato's - I've had a lot of heirloom tomato salads in my life and this was one of the absolute best ever from the combination of tastes and textures. portion size was also perfect....for entrees, my friend had the NY steak and fries which were excellent...i had the pollo a la brassa; the chicken was tender, flavorful and delicious. The fried eggs were a perfect complement to the fried rice underneath and the kimchi was a pleasant contrast (not spicy at all) and accompaniment to the dish. portion size was large!....the one menu item that was weird were the peas and carrots - while it was beautifully presented, and certainly accurately described (it's a cold dish), as much as I like carrots, peas, Greek yogurt, etc, it just didn't hit for me. There was plenty of food without it as we were too full to try any of their desserts. Would recommend this place for sure. Lots of other things I'd want to try on the menu. Given the price points, it does seem positioned as a special occasion/outing type of place vs. all the time.

However, additional details create a loving connection - it's off-Broadway central location, the copper-paneled ceiling that mimics warm conversations in varied spaces (cocktail, chef's counter, expandable tables for groups, and outdoor), fresh, locally-sourced ingredients with service to match. It's the place where I had my first glass of Turley Zinfandel (education alongside), and the place I will always return for my favorite Wagyu Beef Stroganoff (a comfort from home, but upscale). This one delivered with large, firm, expertly seasoned portobello & forest mushrooms over wide, freshly handmade pappardelle pasta that soaks up rich beef stock (a touch of black pepper) blended with crème fraîche. A generous portion of wagyu is tender and rich. PRO TIP: Mix then let it sit & marinade a minute - flavor pays in dividends. For dessert, a Valhrona Chocolate Pudding topped with whip cream and Maldon flake salt - exquisite, but expensive. The texture is comforting and delicious - olive oil adds a lingering finish with slight fruit.

I informed her that we had a reservation under my name, John, but she simply looked at her list, seemed annoyed, and told us to wait anyway. While we were waiting, we watched several parties of two arrive after us with reservations at 8:10, 8:15, and even 8:20, and they were seated before us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I went back to ask how much longer it would be. I was told it would be another 20 minutes. I reminded Carleigh that we had a reservation, and her response was, "Oh, you did?" She then asked for my full name and phone number, looked up the reservation, apologized, and immediately escorted us to a table that appeared to have been ready the entire time. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Reservations are made so guests don't have to wait behind people who arrive later. It felt like our reservation had been completely ignored until I spoke up a second time. Whether this was poor organization or a lack of attention, the level of service at the front desk was unacceptable. We came looking forward to a nice family dinner, but the experience started with unnecessary frustration and left a very poor first impression. I sincerely hope additional training is provided so this doesn't happen to other guests.

They were ready for us when we arrived and sat us downstairs, which was really cool! The vibe and esthetic of the entire restaurant was pretty unique. The booth chairs were very soft, and a little uncomfortable compared to the table height as you sink into them. Our waitress was kind, but had a weird attitude. Someone ordered an Americano (from the menu) to which she said they didn't have espresso... she ended up bringing the Americano to him without any explanation. It was just a little odd. Someone ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were good, but I wouldn't order them again. A lot of people ordered the burger, which was overcooked for almost every person and definitely didn't seem like wagyu beef. The steak sandwich I got (pictured) was good, but it came with lettuce that had really long stems. I don't particularly enjoy eating stems, so that's as annoying. The rest of my food was delicious. ESPECIALLY the garlic aioli. I could drink that stuff! The cost did seem fair for the quality of food, but a few adjustments could be made to the cook and such. We enjoyed our time and I will definitely go back! Hopefully for some drinks next time!

First off, the roasted beets might honestly be the best thing on the menu (which sounds ridiculous until you try them). They come with greens tossed in a dressing that is absolutely mouth-watering, I could eat a whole bowl of just the greens. Next was the mushroom toast, layered with the creamiest goat cheese spread that perfectly balances the earthy mushrooms. But the real showstopper was the pork belly. I've never had pork belly like this before. They serve it in these perfect little cubes and when you bite into one it literally bursts with flavor. It's paired with green apples, which might sound unexpected, but it's an incredible combination. If you've never had pork with green apples before, you're missing out, it's the perfect sweet, crisp contrast. We finished the night with beignets and an affogato.
