I'm just a huge fan of Ruby River. I love the ambience of this restaurant. Food is consistently good and I love the seasoning on my ribeye. The salmon has been a hit and miss for my wife but the steaks are always consistent. Service is always spot on!

I walk in and sit in the bar area. Everything is portioned well, drinks, sides, entrees. Prices are reasonable. I switched it up and ordered the 20oz. Prime Rib with the Jacketed Baked Potato. Our server Mari was fantastic.

Dang... this used to be a favorite place. I used to bring my friends here after today. I will never come back. The table was dirty. The floors were gross and dirty. The service was terrible, I saw my waiter twice. the Caesar salad which I should've taken a picture of was horrible, the cheese on it was hard. The cheese was brown. I couldn't eat it. Been here for an hour. I do have a drink and I have my salad lol can't eat that still waiting for my food. If it wasn't so filthy in here I probably could overlook some of this stuff. This disgusting. I'm just gonna take my food home and eat it hopefully it's not gonna make me sick.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server was friendly and attentive. The filet mignon skewers were excellent. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. This is a great steakhouse for locals.

We haven't been back here for quite awhile; trying out different establishments in Reno. Food still great and service good ! Sourdough to start. Today we got the 10oz Garlic butter Sirloin with asparagus and broccoli as sides (Yum) and 16oz Ribeye. I requested more garlic butter to put on my veggies; which to me made it pop. We had enough room for dessert so we tried Ruby's cookie (which the cookie tasted undercooked / mushy. I prefer a firmer cookie). Overall still good steakhouse !

If you follow my reviews you know I've been in a Birthday club with the same girls for 36 years. Tonite is the night to celebrate Patti's 60th. To be honest I haven't been to the Ruby River since the last Birthday party when Shannon turned 40 so it's been awhile. I had the garlic top sirloin, it was delicious and the meat melted into your mouth. I wish my onions could have been grilled longer and really my one piece of asparagus could have used a few more friends on my plate. Everyone enjoyed their food and service was excellent. We made a reservation for 8 and got seated right away. All of our dinners came out at the same time and for a table of 8 there were no issues other than more asparagus. The last time we were there you would throw the peanuts on the floor but it seems like they removed that type of atmosphere and the restaurant was going more for the classy steakhouse vibe. When we left there was a huge wait in the front! Glad we made a reservation. I highly advise it. Oh by the way they didn't include the gratitude for a large party and I thought that was extra nice. We always give more anyway.

I had the smothered chicken breast. I didn't read correctly, I thought I was getting chicken breast smothered in mushrooms. It was smothered in cheese and bacon. My bad! It was quite tasty, I just took off the cheese and bacon. On the other hand I heard the steak was perfect. Never disappointed when we come here. The service was great as always. Ruby River is always a great choice.

A nice place with reasonable prices. Good food at prices that won't break you. Saw a number of families sharing. A full bar with decent wine selection. Might call ahead on evenings and weekends.

I cannot wait to come back and visit Lily and hope I get her again as a waitress. This was my first time here and she made my visit so enjoyable. What an adorable waitress with good humor and positive energy. She had that sweet Texas charm and made sure I was taken care of. I could have stayed there all night eating and chatting with her as she checked on my table. I really enjoyed the dark, quiet, and intimate nature of the place filled with our voices as I asked her things about the menu. Overall the food was fiiire! Steaks seasoned to perfection, delicious soup, ranch, and sides, and pretty good prices. The ambience is lowkey and intimate and sometimes you want that when the workd is so loud and crazy. I love you Reno, I will return! Thanks for the delicious food and amazing service. Oh, the table bread 10/10 stars! We decided to go here instead of eating at the Peppermill casino and we were not mad at all about it. There will probably be a wait if you don't make reservations, but you can try your luck with a seat at the bar to bypass that. Super reasonably priced and you get a ton of food. Their sides were the highlight for me. Anything potato always gets me. The service was really great too.

We found parking right away. We noticed the large banner outside touting best burgers. Was craving fish and chips, buttttt decided to go with a burger. Ricardo was our server.. we were greeted as we were stepping through the door. Told to take a seat anywhere. Ricardo recommended "any" burger with a smile. I asked whether I should order onion rings or fries, he said order the Texas Toothpicks.. Combo of beer battered onions and jalapeños. Ok let's do this. Richard's must have checked in on us 5-7 times during our meal, great service! Actually we had an entire conversation about his service, friendly, efficient, quick, chatty, and gets the order right! Order Bloody Mary served with banana pepper, green olive and lime.. no salted rim, which is fine, missing salty component for me BECAUSE I LIKE SALT... Drink was GOOD. Bloody Mary and Corona brought icy cold within two minutes. Jalapeno burger and fries son loved his burger! Son felt his burger had appropriate amount of salt and great char crusting. Garlic butter burger and Texas Toothpicks which is beer battered onions and jalapeños. In my opinion this burger starts with the bread.. Delicious soft bun that actually fits the patty. The patty had a nice sear on it, it was under seasoned and almost well done. The burger was lacking salt component to complement the garlic. Had the burger been seasoned, and had I have ordered it medium rare, (my mistake) it would have been really good. The burger did come without condiments which I appreciate because I can put my own in appropriate amounts to my liking. I added a pinch of salt, no complaining and we were good to go! I didn't even eat 1/4 of my food! The burgers and portions were HUGE!! The Texas Toothpicks were really good, a good fry was achieved on them. They held up to being dipped in ranch. 1/2 order hot wings and fries The wings were ordered breaded and hot. They had a good crisp, and were fried appropriately! Good amount of salt. The fries were served super crispy, piping hot and perfectly salted. The order came with carrots and celery without having to ask. Ranch.. Ranch is a serious condiment in our household with food like this. It was good. An appropriate amount was served with wings, and of course for us fries and ranch go hand in hand. The restaurant was clean, all staff was friendly and great service!!!

We came in for Saturday Brunch around 10am, early, I know, however we were greeted and given a table right away. The restaurant wasn't busy for a Saturday, we did receive really attentive and thoughtful service from our server, Kylie. While they still had their Holiday drink specials menu, the server did confirm they have 2 for 1 mimosas and $6 bloody marys. The special was a Prime Rib breakfast burrito which both of the people I came in with ordered while I ordered the breakfast BLT. The Prime Rib burrito was so tender and juicy with a fried egg in the middle, definitely a special item for sure. I had the BLT on an everything bagel with a side of fruit and it hit the spot of a lighter, less hearty breakfast. For good service and cheap drinks, I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is everything you would want from a local bar joint. Pool table, Dart boards nice outside patio with heaters. Appetizers were Onions Rings and Cheesy Garlic Bread. The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. The Garlic bread was tasty having a hard Toasted cheese top with the gooey cheese underneath and the flavor was spot on. I'm a dark beer drinker so I went for the MOOSE DROOL if you had to many the moose wouldn't be the only thing drooling . You can't go to a tavern and not try one of the drafts...that would just be wrong. Hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich thought it was tasty with the chimiruri sauce and provolone cheese. It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount.
