From a chill night out with amazing specialty cocktails (and half off drinks late night), to Sunday football with huge projectors all over the venue & 15 gaming machines, to date nights with a wine selection I've never seen at a tavern, you name it! Service is great and the food is even better. The portion sizes on all of their dishes is crazy! It's also non smoking which creates a family friendly environment for all ages in the dining room! Came here on Mother's Day. Had a reservation even. I noticed right away that place was short staffed . There was one waitress . One hostess. One food runner . One bartender. Now the waitress was absolutely killing it with the disadvantage she had with all these tables and her being one person. The hostess and food runner helped the best way they could and the bartender wasn't much help from What I saw. Her bar wasn't super full and she was in her phone quite a bit while tables needed drinks or silverware etc..again the waitress did an amazing job. She was so apologetic and I kept telling her it wasn't her fault. Now if people called out then I get it happens but if this was a managerial decision to not schedule staff on Mother's Day. Then shame on you honestly, because your restaurant suffered for it. For what ? Cutting cost? . Again can't give this waitress and the hostesses and food runner enough praise they really did hold it down and were busting their butts. And I think that should be recognized for their perseverance and hard work on a day like Mother's Day. read more

This is a local bar that made me realize all that is wrong with the local Las Vegas bar scene, or more aptly the lack there of. The location is nice and the design and aesthetic are tasteful and welcoming. The wings were delicious; the chicken fingers lacked flavor. This bar has a lot of potential to be a wonderful neighborhood pub. Where this place goes wrong is where most local Las Vegas bars do, they are laser focused on running a slot casino instead of a local pub. The atmosphere is completely unwelcoming to patrons looking to have drinks and chat with friends or other patrons at the bar, as the very large four-sided bar is essentially totally reserved for "players," not the kind that have game, the kind that play games. Not only does nearly every bar seat come with a slot machine, but every slot machine comes with a we-only-want-your-business-if-you're-gambling sign (pictured herein). That's not all, this rigid adherence to the slot casino mission is dutifully enforced by the staff. Now I must say, I am not throwing shade at the staff, they were pleasant enough; it is clear this is the business culture intentionally created by the ownership. While visiting, the bartender seated us at the far end of the bar by the kitchen and behind bar equipment because we were not playing. Mind you, this was a weeknight and there were about 4 other people at the bar gambling, so that left a mere 20 or more open slot machines for all the players they were banking on to pony up to dump their wallets into the bar. Three additional patrons did come to play and, for those of you that are into the upscale Dotty's vibe, the slots must be decent because one of them won big. While I tend to get my fix of screen time on any given day by simply living in our hyper digital society, I am not totally opposed to playing a slot machine at a bar every so often. However, I would only do that at a chill local pub with a good vibe, not a rigid local slot casino. read more

This place was 5/5 a few weeks ago! Something has definitely happened. The food lately has been not great. I got a what looked to be microwaved chicken and bacon club sandwich and my husbands favorite pasta was so clumped together. The last few times we have gone the food has been getting worse and worse. I don't know if something happened with the kitchen staff. We used to recommend this place all the time but we will be holding off on that for awhile. We went last night. It was under staffed like it ALWAYS is. Took 25 minutes just to ask for a check. I really hope it improves again over time as we used to come here a few times a week. read more

I was really excited when I found this place online. The menu looked pretty good so I really wanted to try the food. I decided to take myself along with my son and his mom to rustic house Summerland South. When we got there, we weren't greeted by anyone the bartender made eye contact with us, but didn't say anything so we just went and took a seat. We waited about 15 minutes. Everyone just kept walking by and looking at us as if they wanted us to leave instead of taking our order. Waitresses and other staff members were talking a group next to us left and they started clean the tables off, but still no one came to us and even ask us could we get you a drink? They just kept looking at us. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've had in a long time so I took my family. We got up and just left. I would not recommend this place. I don't know if the service was just bad that day or if it would be because I was a man of color but either way something was definitely off about this place. read more

This is a late review-- I was there on the day of their Halloween party. I was gambling-- and winning and tipping. A bartender that was not on shift was standing behind me with her guy friends, waiting for somewhere to sit as there were no seats at the bar. I got up to use the restroom, with a about $5 left in my machine-- put a napkin over my drink indicating that I was returning, and came back to the off duty employee playing my machine. I was not finished playing, was tipping very generously, and when I got upset about it they told me to leave, claiming I had too much to drink and stating they were going to call the cops. The bartender came outside and took a picture of my license plate. I was literally on my second drink. I was so disgusted after being a bartender at many local bars in this town, that this is the way they treat a gambling, TIPPING customer. They don't care about gaining or retaining customers. Makes me sick the way I got treated and did nothing wrong. read more

The perfect place to go to at any time of the day or night! I love that it's non smoking and family friendly ! A quick 5 minute drive away from Durango casino, it's just perfect! When walking in , you're immediately greeted by the host and the bartenders. Very welcoming and great atmosphere! Sports are always on the TVs along with some classic music videos from all genres. Me and my GF walked inside. Seen the sign that told us to seat ourselves. No acknowledgment. 5 mins later I head back to the host stand to make sure we were supposed to seat ourselves. After confirming we were indeed supposed to seat ourselves, I grabbed 2 menus from the stand. We waited an additional 5 mins before we realized we probably weren't going to get any speedy service. Realistically, the longer we waited the more irritable we would've been anyway, and that wouldn't be pleasant for us or them. The server was being extra familiar with a table by the host stand. And the 3 bartenders behind the bar never acknowledged us or tried to get the servers attention to help us. In conclusion we left and went to B.A.R. (Born And Raised) where they greeted us within 2 mins of us walking in. And several servers couldn't wait to take care of us. read more

We went here for the Saturday special of steak and lobster for $19. Service by Taylor was quick. The meal was exactly as advertised- a lobster tail (4 oz) and a small (4 oz) sirloin steak. We both thought the lobster was good but the steak was tough and tasteless. No sides were offered - although we did not order from a menu so I'm not sure what there might have been. My husband did ask to substitute a filet for the sirloin and Taylor replied that it would be a $40 charge.... Maybe he should have done that. read more

So this place just opened up in my neighborhood so me and my friend decided to go check it out. We've heard some good things about the steaks and burgers. It's a big open area with lots of TVs. There's a big circular bar that was about half filled with gamers. The cool thing was there was no smoking allowed. Love that! For only being open a few weeks things came out right and in a timely manner. The steak was cooked perfectly and the burger was gigantic. Make sure to ask for a side of the cheese sauce for their french fries. We're planning to go check it out on a Sunday to see how their sports program is. read more

So another great evening watching college BB at Rustic House. Heather was my server. Like my other servers, Heather was so polite, outgoing, and attentive. So to start, Katelyn was the hostess who greeted me at the front door with a smile and friendly personality and led me to a high-top table. On this visit, Heather, Blondy with the High tennis shoes was my server. As with my previous visits, Heather greeted me in a warm and welcoming way. While I chose not to order any food on this visit, my glass was never empty the entire visit. What was cool was the bartender Chris remembered my visit and my name from two weeks ago and came out from behind the bar to also welcome me back. Wow, how often does that happen? One more thing to add to my visit. Two weeks ago I came in for drinks and appetizers and Colton was the food runner/ Bar back. Colton recalled my name two weeks later after serving my meal two weeks prior. If that doesn't say something about the Rustic House, I don't know what will.............. The bartender told me to feel free to find a seat. OK, no problem. I sat at a table by myself for 15 minutes, and I am not exagerating. Finally, a server came over to the table right next to me. She completely ignored me, didnt even make any eye contact or say anything to me. I decided to sit there and give it another 5 minutes. Nothing. Took the wife here because it was fairly new for a saturday night out dinner and was very surprised that it is more of a bar combined as a restaurant. I don't drink and quit going to bars some 35 years ago so my impression was not very good, plus having over 12 TV's hanging all over the place and on the sports channel led me to believe it was a sports bar. Wife pushed me to try so we had dinner, their lobster and steak for $20 but everything was very overcooked. Service was excellent but I noticed no children were in the dinning area so it made me wonder if they served families with kids. Waitress said they did but... Drinkers weren't to loud so it made for a nice dinner except if they were watching some title game there would have been a lot more people drinking and being loud. Would I go back..NO because of the fact its more of a sports bar then a place to have a nice dinner. The food has always been good here, or at least at the Charleston location. This time I placed an order for pickup for a number of reasons I had a hankering for a good hamburger and the location is perfect. I was very specific in my order a burger well done no cheese or onion. Got home and opened the box and the burger is loaded with onions and cheese boozing off the sides. To the garbage it went. I guess when it's and order for pickup they don't care since your taking out of the establishment and they know you won't return once your home.
