Delicious lunch and lots of menu options. We came here for a work lunch during the week. The inside is beautiful. I love how they renovated and decorated. Lots of space for big and small groups. The menu is vast as well with many options- something for everyone. Prices are a bit steep, but if the flavors and quality is there i think it's worth it. I had the poke bowl. My friend had the pesto pasta. They do have a private dining room and I believe an outdoor space. I have tried to inquire multiple times, but have not heard back- hence the 4 star. read more

I like the decor and that there are many vegan options. The pad Thai was good. I don't like mushrooms and there were A LOT of mushrooms in the dish. If you like mushrooms, they looked really good. I'm from NKY and come up to OSU about once a year, so when I'm here I love this quaint little bougie place!!! Oh my gosh, wish we had one in Cincy/NKY! We need this. I love the organic options, gluten free, etc. The decor is stellar!! Gorge. I enjoy their salads, juices and more recently the pesto chicken sandwich, recommended by Anna! Prices are a bit higher than Northstar Cafe, something I wasn't expecting.However, SŌW focuses on local and organic, so I think that's one reason. Also, the average disposable income in the area is above average, so 1+1=2. Portion sizes matched prices. And, there's several vegan and vegetarian options to match the meat dishes. The decor and ambiance is beautiful - lots of soft white tones and wood and black accents. A minimalist approach to accenting the space. The bar is pretty long, and the kitchen is open and inviting. Anna H. met us, and got a booth; extra long - you could easily fit people on each side with plenty of extra room. Anna made the comment if we were a bit underdressed based on others. Service was very attentive. Our server made sure we understood the menu and answered any questions. Our water was constantly refilled. Food came out pretty fast. I picked their Roasted Beets Salad and added a chicken breast. I asked the frisee lettuce be subbed with more arugula. It was excellent! Seriously appetizing. Loved the quinoa mixed in with the lettuce. The red and yellow beets were heavenly. The chicken breast was brought out on a separate plate - a bit concerning, if it was dry, but it was juicy and nicely seasoned. Perfect 4, maybe 5, oz breast. My niece originally got the Pad Thai, but it was too spicy for her, so our server gladly took it back, and she ordered their Cashew Mac. Wow, that's a very, very good dish! It's vegan and had a wonderful tasty flavor. Highly recommended! As is done in Europe, our waiter presented and took payment for out meal in one fowl swoop, while at our table. I have heard great things about this new restaurant and my roommate and I finally got the chance to try it out and MAN it did not disappoint! I called at about 6pm and they were already booked until 8pm, so make sure you plan ahead! Once we got there though, there were open seats at the bar that do not require a reservation. The vibe of the restaurant was really inviting and the inside was really cute; I loved the aesthetic. I got the Chicken Pad Thai which was not only filling but bursting with flavor! I am not a huge spicy person but the spice amount was just right, my mouth was not on fire. Their menu had a variety of different healthy, vegan, gluten free, etc. options. This was one of my favorite dining experiences I've had in Columbus. The space is BEAUTIFUL; the menu is huge, accommodating all sorts of dietary restrictions; and the food and drinks were amazing. We started with the watermelon cocktail and shishito peppers. My cocktail was refreshing and so delicious; my favorite part was eating the cocktail-infused slide of watermelon at the end. I've never had shishito peppers before this, but they were super tasty. Nice and crispy and paired with a salty aioli that was perfect for dipping. Would totally get both of these things again! For my main course, I got the burger (pictured). This was honestly the best burger I've had in recent memory; the quality of all the ingredients was apparent. So so good. I didn't love that it was paired with tortilla chips, they were lack luster, but the rest of my meal made up for it. Overall, I would definitely recommend SŌW--an amazing dining experience that's absolutely worth the price. read more

Have been here a handful of times and it is consistently good. The first time I got the pad Thai and ever since I haven't been able to switch up from that (that's how good it is) there is so many fresh veggies and so much flavor. Explained everything right away. We ordered: Beet Juice, pomegranate kombucha, and cucumber limeade juice. Y'all 3 were amazing and fresh. You can order by the glass or growler. Market soup was a mushroom and farro. Fresh ingredients full of flavor and amazing. The veggie burger is bean and mushroom based I believe. So good. Glad i got to check out this cool apace at its first week! The owner went through each table and welcomed everyone which was such a nice gesture to hear the story of the restaurant! I really wanted to be blown away by this place but I just wasn't. We had a rare kid-free date night and chose to come here. The menu isn't super large and they only have two beer choices. I opted for a cocktail and got the Honeydew. It was refreshing but didn't have a ton of taste. For starters, we got the brussel sprouts which were very good. The portion size was kind of small for 10$ but they were supposedly organic so I get it. My husband got the chicken baguette which again was tiny but he said it was pretty good and the baguette was toasted perfectly and didn't get soggy at all. He got a side of soup and it was super small. I got the veggie burger which I had high hopes for but it was super bland, overly salted and dry. It fell apart immediately. I got the simple salad as a side and again, super small. I had to ask for mustard to even get the burger down. The aoli had no flavor either. The service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. We went here for dinner on 4/24, a Sunday. They had a decent crowd but certainly not packed. Maybe 1/2 full, if that. We had a reservation at 5:30pm and told them we had a show at OSU at 7pm. Plenty of time. We sat for 20 minutes before we finally got a waitress (after asking the hostess twice). The waitress said we weren't supposed to be her table. We reiterated we wanted to be out by 6:40. Knowing how slow everything was already, we ordered our drinks and food all at once. Nothing complicated. Two glasses of wine, a beer, and a dirty martini. It took another 25 minutes before we got our drinks. So, 45 minutes from sitting down until we were served something. They never even brought my buddy's dirty martini. At the 55 min mark, he told the waitress he was still waiting on it. She said, "oh, do you just what something else?" We ordered two more beers and closed out immediately. After another near 10 minutes, I finally walked up to the bar and retrieved our beers. I can easily say this is the worst service I've ever had. I certainly understand and appreciate the restaurant industry is struggling right now, but there were definitely enough people working who could have helped out. I'd like to say the food was good, but it was hard to remember over the frustration of the experience. Not to mention my wife and I dropped $100 with tip for it. Not good. Update - the owner reached out and expressed his concerns. He was very passionate about the business, provided some background on more recent issues, and demonstrated immediate changes that are being made to rectify everything. My wife and her girlfriends have been before and had a great experience. That's why we went in the first place. After speaking with the owner, I will come back and give it another shot. Been here for dinner twice, once with a group during the week, and again on the weekend for a romantic dinner for two. Both times were truly phenomenal. Love the ambiance, so glowy and warm. Service is always top notch. The vegan cashew dip appetizer is to die for --- how is this not made of cheese? I tried to recreate it at home and it was just not the same. SOW is super cute and trendy on the inside, definitely worthy of the 'gram. We grabbed a seat at the bar early on a Friday evening and there wasn't much of a crowd. The drink menu is impressive. All of their cocktails are made with their in-house pressed juices. I ended up going for a glass of wine but would definitely go back to try a cocktail. I ordered the pesto pasta for my meal which was good. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portions were just right. The menu is good, but I expected it to be even more extensive, and that is why I give 4 .5 stars instead of 5. I enjoyed everything I tried from SOW Plated -- especially the quiche of the day, which happened to have asparagus, spinach and other green veggies in it. The menu is very vegetarian and vegan-friendly. There are many other menu items I would try if I went back. The atmosphere is perfect for a brunch date and it'll make you feel fancy. The decor is very Pinterest-worthy. My main gripe was with the waiter, who couldn't help to recommend anything (or decide between two dishes). It seemed like he hadn't tried much of the menu, so he couldn't describe items well or compare them. Also, the meal was expensive for what it was, IMO. This is my favorite restaurant in Columbus. They offer carry out and delivery but I felt perfectly safe for my in-person dining experience last night. This was my fifth time eating here and it has been consistently delicious and the servers have always been friendly and attentive. The cocktails are fabulous and the food is fresh and tasty. Gotta love a restaurant that uses locally sourced items whenever possible. We split a kale Caesar salad last night and the dressing was ridiculously good! I just went to SOW with a friend for the first time this week and we had a great time! Ambiance is casual but feels like you're out for a nice dinner. We had the sweet potato flatbread to start and it was amazing, I had a delicious salad and my friend had the caprese sandwich (which she has also ordered before!).
